You know, I try to give any business the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise to their work principles and ethics. David did come out one evening when my a/c had lost all coolant. Instead of investing into old style refrigerant on an old unit, I opted to get a whole new complete system with one of the best lines that American standard carries. David, gave what seemed like a good deal. Oh, he was slick whipping out his license which should have alerted me right away to his character. I started with a 4-ton system and was advised by his chief tech. Mike that a 5-ton was better suited. I went for the 5-ton and then upgraded to a system that does multi-zones. This required 4 thermostats to control the zones. This was a big job and wanted all of my old system out and everything updated including the ducts. Well, after several days of people showing up and then not, it got frustrating quick! You can tell that hired staff that were young were inexperienced. 2 Different situations where 1 persons leg went through my ceiling in my hallway and sheet rock was damaged in my garage. Its fixed up, but not like it was before the incident, but just shook it off. I was very upset how things were going and expressed to David my concerns as I was clearly upset with the amount of money I put towards all this and the lack of experience from his installers demonstrated. His best solution, hang up and send me a pic showing me his phone about to die and deal with his main guy. His guy wasnt always available to monitor the situation. He never called back after that. And this is the owner Im dealing with here. NO amount of money saved was worth how this was handled. Most of it is installed now, but I have found loose panels, old parts and duct work that wasnt replaced connected to the new duct work. A drain pan that isnt fastened down and electrical box with wiring thats supposed to be covered. Lord knows what else I would find if I could squeeze into other areas. My attorney says a case of the Texas deceptive trade practice act can be instituted when further evidence is attained. His company was supposed to call American standard to register all my equipment. He didnt. I did. And found out I had a better warranty than he advertised. I own my own business and would have never done the job his company did for me. Oh, its not all bad. At least I received the equipment I purchased and works currently. The system is a good one that I purchased by American standard. I paid over 17 grand! On a 1 story house 2300 sq. feet. You do the math. Its not a mansion. I had expectations! Thank God, I can go to other dealers for the warranty repair. If he had experienced people the job would have been done right. Instead, my house was a learning on the go setup with no instructor over them at all times. I didnt want that and was told his people had plenty of experience. Maybe for little jobs I dunno. The communications are lousy after he gets your money. Which, dont pay all up front which I mistakenly did and I know better. I had seen on another bad post he received that he called that post fake news! Seriously! What kind of response from a reputable dealer is that?? Wonder what he had to do to get other negative posts removed. From what I hear now, his main guy that was the foreman for jobs now doesnt work for him any more. They seem to go through people quick there. My calls and texts ignored. I have paper work. I have pictures. I have proof. People, beware of this outfit. Pay the extra money for a reputable company. I wish I did..Update: David had contacted me after I had submitted the above post. In short, asked that I remove the post and take care of all the issues I had. I agreed only with a written statement that he would take care of all things. He send out his crew that Saturday. They showed, did nothing but make a list of all things I had all ready discussed and came with no material wasting another opportunity to take care of my problems. Made an appointment to come the following Friday and no show. Dont trust this company!
UPDATE: After writing this review, we received a call from Mike who apologized & said he would come out the next day to rectify the situation. I had to call at 7:30 pm to see what happened after the no show. The next day, yet another no show with no call.This is now 8+ no shows total. From an ethical standpoint alone, I am not sure why they wouldnt follow through on their word. I feel like good customer service is not always having to correct situations but going above and beyond what is initially expected,which this company has failed to do the minimum. My wife & I have been really disheartened at how we have been treated and sadly wont be using them in the future.We really wanted to be able to leave a great review since we were referred by a friend & i root for small businesses.We had received multiple bids from different ac companies to fix the smell in our home & the price David quoted us originally the best.Few weeks later when his crew was supposed to come out, they no showed. We called David & were finally able to get in touch with him & expressed our concern that he had half our money & they no showed. This happened 3 more times, again with no phone call, text or email. They kept telling us there must have been some kind of miscommunication. David did take some money off for his crew no showing several times which we appreciated. However, that discount was somewhat offset in the additional work that we were then told was needed in order to correct our issue that wasnt originally communicated to us at our consult. The techs eventually came out and did the work and so we paid them via check.We were told if we paid by credit card they would charge us a 5 percent fee of the total bill (just fyi for those who prefer other forms of payment).When they were done they left behind a huge box full of old ducts and new ducts in our garage that someone was supposed to come pick up (no one did).Later that evening when I was cleaning up the leftover insulation that had fallen near the vents from having the ducts replaced, we noticed the insulation of the canisters near the base of several of the vents were still moldy/had not been replaced(see pic). Our main issue/reason for hiring this company was to have all mold/mildew removed so we wouldnt have it in our home. We called David and Mike (the project manager) who both told us they would have someone come out and finish the work.Mike even came out one day after much calling and pestering from us to assess what supplies he would need to have his techs finish the job/replace the moldy insulation. A date was scheduled several times by Mike & once again they continued to no show with no calls.We tried to be extremely understanding-companies get busy and things happen,but the lack of professionalism in not at least calling to let us know they werent making their appointment, while no showing multiple,multiple times was disappointing to us.We really wanted the work all done before our newborn arrived, which didnt end up happening.Another company came in & replaced the moldy insulation around the few canisters & while they were up in the attic, they noticed the Reme Halo (installed from Davids Same Day Service) was put in backwards & one of the wires near the AC wasnt capped/leaving an exposed hot wire which could have been dangerous.I dont write this review to bash on this company,but rather to give another persons experience that wasnt as favorable.I see there are a lot of positive reviews (hopefully not just friends/family and negatives reviews bought out) so hopefully we were the unfortunate exception.Hopefully David can take this review & see what changes could be made systematically to reduce these issues in the future for other clients, namely: better communication throughout & better quality control to make sure it was done right.Hopefully this was informative for everyone reading this review & if some of these things start to become your experience, you now know that you are not alone.
David was great, he resolved not one, but multiple problems with my HVAC system. I had a stubborn clog in my main drain line that a competitor could not unclog, but Leon got it unclogged instantly and he also got my unit cooling at peak performance again. Was very pleased with the price and David able to resolve a problem others were not able to! It was worth the price! We are relaxing again in my cool and now comfy home! We had an issue with our A/C and needed it repaired as soon as possible. We also didn’t want someone that would charge us an arm and a leg !!! We called David and he was punctual and very professional. Best of all he was inexpensive , a real down to earth guy , he had answers to each one of our questions with research to back up his answers. I had a house full of children and my ac went out. The children and I were completely miserable. Everyone I called was too busy to get to us that day. I finally called Davids company. They were very understanding and had someone out within the hour. He had me up and running shortly after he arrived. They were quick and courteous and very affordable. Hands down great experience. I would definitely hire Davids company again for all my AC and heat needs.
David came over to check my AC unit the same day I called. He is very professional and beyond considerate. He really cares about my problem and gave more than 100% to fix my issue. I previously left a review on HomeAdvisor so to sum that review: The guys that did the install did a great job but we never received any paperwork after being told it would be emailed to me. The owner seen the review and called us and said he would bring it out that night and customer satisfaction was the main priority. We did not hear from him for a couple of days so I stopped by their office. I was told they were having computer issues and they would email it to me by the end of the day. Again David called me and said he would come to my house that night and bring me the paperwork, a free UV light and do the 7 day check-up on the system. Two days later he called and said someone would be out that night to take care of everything. A service guy came out and no idea why he was here so I explained what was going on and he said David did not tell him. He did the check on the system but still no paperwork so he explained he would bring it by the next day. Its been a week since then and still no paperwork. I am not sure what is so hard about getting my paperwork or why they can not do what they say they are going to do but this customer is not satisfied. All David seems concerned about is me giving them a good review but he wont follow up on what he tells me. Just an FYI this has been going on since Oct. 19
The team took the time and care to install my two units as well as can be expected. David went above and beyond to make the customer happy. We got unbeatable value, service, and pricing. Will definitely recommend this business.
I used him last May 2020 for a complete duct and a/c replacement of a 14 seer unit. His workers did show up late and we made them come back the next day. He paid for a hotel for 2 nights until the work was complete. I have no complaints, except I can no longer get a hold of him to follow up with free yearly tune ups. Im sorry for everyone who has been scammed. This was not our experience. I was happy with his work. David, if you are reading this please contact me!
Stay away from this company, David the owner will take your money beforehand and never return to fix your problem. He has our money we gave him to replace our coils $2400.00, he has given us every excuse in the book nothing but one lie after another, the lies never stop. Its a scam, he makes you think your getting a good deal so he will ask for the money upfront or you have to put a deposit down then he takes your money to never return and when you call him, thats when all the lies start! This is one great company. Our air system broke on Sunday, I found David on Home Advisory. Com. He called me at 11pm on his day off and treated me as if I was family. The team showed up Monday morning and installed a new unit quickly. By far the most professional team I have ever had in my home. Thank you, David for working quickly to help my family 💗💗💗👊
When our air conditioner went out on a HOT August Friday evening. A person claiming to be Mr. Davis came out first thing Sat morning to take a look at it and scheduled repairs for that Sunday. He stayed in communication the whole time letting us know what was going on step by step with upfront pricing and no over charging even though it was a weekend. Buy Sunday afternoon the whole system was back up and running and our house was starting to feel like a house again.EDIT: 12/1/2020 The heating unit went out on the NEW unit. Rather than honor the service agreement they claimed that they do not sell the unit that was installed in our home. that is was not them or that some of their staff was using their name to do side jobs and taking their customers for a ride selling substandard equipment. I have the whole job on their letter heads and invoices. So to keep this short around $6000.00 later I have a NEW system and we are gonna try again. At least they responded fast but should have discounted it even more to make up for the initial amount I had to spend and was jilted out of. If they lost money take it out of the employees who were stealing from them in the first place. I am now out around $14K. HOT just a BIT.Edit 12-4-2020 Where I am not happy with the loss of money I am very impressed with the quality of service and dedication that the company provided make everything right. It took quite a bit to make the repairs that were needed to restore my system back to 100% but they stayed on it until they were done even though it took well into the night and several days. I was very impressed.
I called David’s Same day service after I had another company come out and who pretty much just charged me to waste my time and money. I really wasn’t even aware how incompetent they really were until David showed up. His office personnel was very professional when setting my appointment and let me know that David himself would be the one to do my diagnostic/assessment. They also called me back 1 hr before to give me an ETA and let me know David was in route. He arrived promptly in a mask with a binder in a very nice company truck in professional branded business attire. He asked me a few questions about what was going on and pretty much gave me a very accurate assessment even before taking a look at my system. When he was done with the diagnosis he informed me of the root cause of the issue as well as the errors the previous technician/company made. It was broken down into laymans terms. He gave a brief explanation about how they system works as well as provided me with photos of where the issue was and pointed out where the other technician failed and what happened as a result of that. I was shocked 😳 that the other company had not even opened let alone checked for this 🤯 and was amazed how they are even still in business. Had David not come when he did this could have most certainly led to a multitude of other costly expenses that would’ve been detrimental to my household finances as well as my health. I was unaware of lots of this, but had some idea there was an issue because of a previous unrelated service(from another company) that I had to have done. To my surprise this unrelated service was only necessary because of the issue that was present with the AC amongst other issues it caused. We sat down with the binder he brought and went over my repair options, which might I add was very well put together. Because I had not anticipated this cost I was contemplating my next move of whether or not to proceed with the repair. David I’m sure could see this and as result of this and the fact I have small/young kids he offered me a substantial discount. He let me know under normal circumstances they could’ve installed my new AC that day but because it was so late in the evening that they would have to install it first thing the following day. Since it was too hot to stay in the house overnight we had to stay at Hotel for the evening which Mr. David kindly offered to cover that expense as well as what the other company had charged me for their shotty work. He definitely showed me every company is not the same when it comes quality of service. The next day I received a phone call from a 3rd party company that was following up with me about my consultation (which was free btw) with David. Shortly after I received a call from his receptionist letting me know that a crew would arrive shortly to install my new unit. The team of 3 showed up promptly in masks dressed professionally in the company’s signature orange button downs ready to work. As they were working it had begun to rain. I let them know that I was fine with them waiting til the rain subsided to proceed with the installation and offered them a pop up tent to work under so they could stay dry if they decided to continue on with the installation. Aaron Sr. politely thanked me and let me know that would not be necessary and they would just try to work faster to complete the job to avoid getting drenched (btw that didn’t happen). Bless their hearts they got soaked, but their work ethic was incredible! I even received a rather large package while they were here and the gentleman who’s name escapes me even offered to help me take it in. Both he and Aaron Jr. hauled it inside for me. Shortly after they let me know that the job was completed, they gave me instructions and asked me if there was anything else they could help me ...(continued)
BEWARE: Its not easy to look for an honest AC/HVAC professional. If that is why youre here, skip this guy and keep looking! We reached out to Davids Same Day Service on 10/19/20. and was excited when he sent a representative (Mike) on 10/20/20. He gave us two quotes, one to replace our air ducts and furnace, and a second quote for just the air duct replacement, with new UV lights and filter system. Due to our budget, we took the later quote. He also promised free AC inspection and leak check, replace any missing freon, new vents, a guarantee of VIP service with routine maintenance checks/service for 15 years, and a warranty on his labor, parts, and even for my AC unit which had been installed by another company, and all with a promise of be there in an hour from your first call. Boy, was he a sweet talking salesman. However, this is not at all the service we have received. What we received, is nothing more than the workings of a sneaky snake in the grass.To begin, we were not ready to start that day, but we were told to give a $1000 deposit to secure the price of the quote. We negotiate a lower deposit of $500, and we would pay $200 more at the end of service. When we were ready to start the work, David or Mike were nowhere to be found. It took over a week of calling, and leaving messages asking for either our deposit back, or the service to be done. It was not until we started demanding our deposit, that he sent someone to do the work. The person he sent was not even David, but another company he had contracted to complete the work. Mind you, this company knew nothing of the promises David made, and came only to install the new air ducts and UV lights (which dont currently work due to missing parts).That was two weeks ago! When the contractor finished the work, Davids people came to inspect and realized there was a part missing, and stated that they would return within 3-4 days to finish. He did not arrive! We gave him 7 more days of no call, no show and we started calling again. When we finally reached him, he promised he would be by on Monday, mind you, that was to be LAST Monday (11/16), but he did not come, nor did he call. We called him today, and he stated he had a family emergency. As we are family people as well, we understood. However, a PROFESSIONAL knows that in those situations, you make the courtesy call to your client, and reschedule. That is not what David does! At this point, all we wanted to know is what piece was missing, and find someone else to finish the job. Of course, David doesnt care after all, and he has already been fully paid for the work. So if you do pick this guy (which youd be wise not to), make sure you keep your communications documented, and dont pay until you know ALL the work is done. Because you probably wont see him again. Same with deposits, just dont give this man a penny until he has done your work.We now know what piece is missing, not from David, but by reaching out to the contractor he hired for our work (this is a completely separate company which weve found to be very professional).At this point, we have hired someone else to finish the work. Unfortunately, at an additional cost that we should ever have had to pay.In summary, if you want a hell of salesman who will promise you the world, and deliver nothing, who will take your money, hire other people to do his work, never return your calls, never show up for the work, never keep his promises, and is less reliable than a weather report, you found your guy!!!!We are highly disappointed that we fell for his shady business dealings. However, we hope that you will hear our warning, and save yourself from similar regret. Afterall, no one wants to pay more to hire someone to finish a job someone else started.
My a/c was not cooling like it use to. I have an old unit and I knew it was near it’s end. I called David’s company and his team came out to evaluate and gave me a quote. There price was reasonable to replace both the a/c unit and my air handler. I would recommend them to my friends as they were professional, dependable and fast.

David was very persistent in gaining my trust only to break it after I paid $500 to start new a/c install. He is full of bullshhhh when it comes to showing his expired license, good reviews, and even an estimate. He is slick, beware, too good to be true. He wants $ upfront for every stage of the process and his guys didnt how up until around noon to take a materials list after telling me they had ductwork already and starting at 8am. Im trying to get my money back through Cashapp....
I contacted David because my outside unit stopped working. We scheduled an appointment time for today between 8-9 no one never showed up and my calls went unanswered. I will not be contacting this company ever again. I just thought after reading all the reviews he would be a great fit but I was proven wrong. If I could give zero stars I would since he didn’t show up at all.
I was very impressed with the service I received. I made a call and they came out and fixed my unit. Brandon and his crew were very professional and friendly. Speedy service with a smile. I will happily use them for maintenance and service from here on out. A very happy customer I am!
This business should be renamed Daves Some Day Services. I seldom write a review, but must make exception here. Dave seems like a nice enough person, but he runs his business like a scam. He gave me a great price on an HVAC system when I prepaid. But after three months of begging him to install it with no results, I finally just asked for a refund. He promises a lot, but delivers nothing. He says he will be sending his A-team, but no one shows. They always have more pressing projects. He did send a third party at one point, but they showed up with an AC system unboxed and stacked in the back of a pick up truck like chopped wood. I told Dave, I did not want anything like this. They took out my upstairs system and installed the wrong unit. This was removed, but they did not replace it with anything. We spent the winter with no heat upstairs even after pleading with him because my wife is very ill. I just read a post that said that this Daves Some Day Service has high reviews because they are writing their own reviews. This must be the case and is the trap that I fell into. I had a ZERO star experience with Daves Some Day Service. Actually, it is less than zero because they removed a functioning HVAC unit and left.
Never trust this business. he has taken my money $1500. he never started on my AC repair and it has been 2 months now. he has been making excuses and making up lies. i will bring your money tomorrow. i mailed you the check and it will arrive in 7 days and etc. this man is a scam. dont waste your time and money
It all started with the best intentions as David answered the call and was quick to show up as we had an emergency. We ended up replacing the complete system and even added 2 more complete systems to the project. Got the up-sell to replace all of the duct work because of mold that he told me was present so that was definitely not going to be safe and we need to replace all of it. It was bad after that as they didnt show up when promised and brought out different Seer rating units than what was talked about and I didnt catch that on the quote so was my fault. He has a book with pricing and it includes different Seer ratings so just make sure if you use him that it is clear in your contract. They ended up replacing about half the duct work and the other duct work just left in place which was not what was agreed to. If you have a zoned system beware because he is going to tell you that he needs to rework it and probably wont. Make sure that if you are replacing complete systems that you have the heating kits put in as that was pretty awful on the first cold front we had was a bit chilly in the house. Called and Called to get this fixed as I have a 12 year Labor and Material Warranty that isnt worth a thing because after you pay he doesnt answer the phone or provide service. I called every number I had and even his guys are confused on why he does business this way. Finally got a hold of Mike and he told me he wasnt working for DSD anymore but could get me the heating kits and install them for $1,700. I reluctantly agreed but then needed heating kits and he was the last one that was there and familiar with the systems. Not sure why they would include those but it was frustrating for sure. After paying Mike to get them fixed David said he would send me a check. I called Mike back on the DSD phone and to my surprise Mike answered. Told him that I thought you werent working for David and he said that worked it out. David in the mean time was supposed to come out and i scheduled him many times but that didnt seem to matter as he no called no showed quite a bit in the end. It is complicated that David want to turn everything around on everyone else and certainly not the 5 Star service you would expect. Sometimes you just need to handle your business the right way as I am very reasonable. This post is to help those make an informed decision. My units still didnt heat right as had to hire another contractor to come and take a look to make some repairs. They all three are working now with the help of his competition. Still confused how he was able to get all of those reviews for 5 Stars.
Lets be honest even 5 star companies make mistakes. What really makes them 5 stars is what they do about it. Our downstairs unit needed to be replaced, this company gave us by far the lowest quote. All the other companies said it was too low and that it couldnt be American Standard. After looking at everything and talking to Dave, we went with him. His crew showed up with the main tech in a uniform. Dave came by to look at what was going on also. Everything look good......then it wasnt. The tech took apart my upstairs unit and when he left at 2am he wasnt done with the downstairs one. Now I had no air and the house was warming up. Dave took my call at 2am. Offered to put us all in a hotel (he said 5star) and said he would fix everything. The next morning his General manager and another crew came by. Took care of everything and now not only do we have a great new system downstairs, but our upstairs unit has some upgrades and a 10 year maintenance plan. Mistakes can happen, but when a company steps up and makes it right, that is a true 5 star comapny.
I’ve never ever wrote a review on any of the poor service I’ve received and I’ve received some poor service since the Internet has been around. First of all please don’t be fooled by the FIVE star ratings because those are only his family and friends giving fake reviews. David, is a conman and he suck, so if the boss conducts that kind of behavior the employees are pretty much the same. They lie, they steal, and they are not professional and if you ever use this company you should get exactly what you deserve because that’s what happen to me and I deserved it because I didn’t research them as much. “FIVE STAR” reviews are fake!
Our AC has been out for 2 going on 3 days and with me being pregnant and kids in our home we needed it fixed ASAP. There services were quick, professional, and affordable... had our AC running within a few hours of arriving. I will definitely being calling them for any future services.

I contacted the Federal Trade Commission. You dont even have a General Contractor License. And the address is an abandon building. I know I went over there and have photos.
David came out and assessed our a/c and our system was beyond repair. He gave us a good price and replaced our old a/c with a brand new American standard system! We are loving it!

This person always talks about honest and the respect he takes in hes company and costumers but never does what he says, I have a new AC from him and hes people came and install it the very next day, so no problem with that but it comes to come and check the problem we have theres when all the headache and the lies start, always something has or happen with this person that he or hes people can come and see the problem we have, and also he changes the contract just because, in the contract says free labor and parts for 10 years, now he wants to charge for labor due to lots of people coming and go without doing the job well, it is not my fault, so if you Mister see this review, call or come and done the job that needs to be done ASAP or give me my money back, because I do not want to spend 10 years of promises and waiting on your people like I have no life for my own that just being waiting on you, I am the one who lives in Cleveland, TXWell he called me a few days after this review to talk bad and being rude, then he change his mind and asked me kindly if I can remove my review and offer to do the repair my AC and Heater needs, I told him okay if the job is doing well, so I am here again waiting on this person to come and do what he said and nothing, this person has no word

They charged me $3,500 for the purchase of a used boiler when at Homedepot a new one with greater capacity costs $700. They said it would receive maintenance once a year and until now 2 years ago they have not shown up, they do not answer calls, emails, NOTHING! ! They will just take your money and then disappear. I dont recommend them!! Too bad I cant put -1 star.
