Weve had mechanical service performed on our fleet trucks and have been getting hydraulic hoses made here periodically for the last 19 years. Yesterday, I was turned away and had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to a different shop. I guess it was too much of an inconvenience, or not a big money maker. Disappointed about this,

I am very happy with Elders Absolutely Cool Automotive. I have been there twice and have been treated very professionally by the people at this business. The location is clean and pleasant. They did a great job with the service that I needed and didnt pressure me to have additional work done. I am very happy to have found them and will be continue to use them from now on.

Elders was recommended by a friend years ago and the only place on the north side of Houston that I have found reliable and honest. My thanks to all the people at Elders.

My dad recommended them for fixing my AC since I drive a 18 wheeler and am never home so fixing it myself isnt a option right now and my family uses the car while Im away. So it needed fixed. Their repair prices are good and in competition with any other shops in the area. They will look over youre car good and will tell you if they see anything else but wont push it on you at all. Or try and get something else fixed that you dont want to do like some shops will when they tell you youre car needs this and that before they will do this. Well Elders doesnt do that. They ordered parts and I had my car back late afternoon on 2nd day. UPDATE. Ac is still messed up on car. Will Update again on if they are willing to look at it or fix it.

I have a 1976 Volkswagen Bus and it was really hard to find someone that wanted to help me out. I had it lowered a few months ago and my front end wouldn’t get aligned. The folks at Elders had no issue whatsoever taking my baby in and were confident that they could get it fixed for me. It was somewhat of a challenge to get the parts due to having it lowered. But after ordering some custom parts, they got this beautiful machine back on the road and made me the happiest guy ever. Thanks Elders! You guys rock…👊🏼

These guys are my saviors. They will work with you for what you need done. Ive been coming here for years and will continue to. Matt and Ed at the front are always there to help. They have fixed my little fiat for so many things over the years, from random things to regular maintenance. They work with the budget I have and always fix the worst things first to keep me safe. These guys are always prompt with service. It may still be a few days, but they are mechanics and do have other cars to work on. They got me safely back on the road before a trip recently and cannot thank them enough. Matt will alway take the time to try to explain what they are doing and what is messed up in lamens terms for us non-mechanics, and I deeply appreciate it. Thanks, guys. Call on a Tuesday to get a quote on repair. They reply back saying they will call be in hour. (did not) I call the next day (Wednesday) and they said he was busy other things and other quotes and said he would get back soon as possible. So on Thursday calls be with the quote price. The price is more 150% than any other repair shop out there. If you do not want the job just say not interested in that type of job. I can respect that more than you just put a price out there that is way over priced. I an definitely not going to use them for any other service or refer them.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARERIP YOU OFF AND THEN MAKE IT SEEM OKPlace says one thing and then next week says something else. I took sons car here and they tried to get me for a transmission flush and inner air cabin cleaner but LITTLE DID THEY KNOW I do those things but now A/C. I flushed transmission oil about 4 months ago and changed cabin filter within last month. You GO THERE FOR AC and they try to make money off you. NEVER EVER WILL I GO BACK and thenI call ED to tell him about me servicing my car and he says well whatever the technicians said. I said you will not get any of my business and you know what his response was OK THATS FINE AND HUNG UP. Poor customer service and rip off care

Very nice honest and professional staff. Explained to me all the work they were going to do before and after completion. They saved me money by taking a little extra time to fix my problem instead of saying I needed to replace this or that. Very accommodating to my time. Matt was very helpful and friendly. Having had a great experience on previous visits I walked in without an appointment to get a safety inspection. Greeted with no problem and within 20 minutes I was back on my way.Their repairs are always solid. In fact, my wifes car had an air conditioning problem that the dealer just could not or would not resolve. Took it to Elders and they got it done!

These guys performed some great work on my high mileage Ford Expedition including a complete engine replacement (long block). I would recommend them again and have been back several times.

Ive been to shops that were expensive.Ive been to shops that were slow.And Ive been to shops that dont really know what they are doing.Never have I been to a shop that is all three. Until Elders.Theyll keep your car a month. Theyll make you call them to find out whats going on. Theyll find issues, then put your car to the back of the line to fix these issues. Over and over again. And then theyll charge you an arm and a leg for repairs.If you have a worst enemy. Send them here.

After my car was towed to Elders because the key was stuck in the ignition, it was discovered a Recall Notice had been issued on that particular part. Matt worked with me and the dealer to get the repair covered under the Recall Notice. It took longer than expected because of this and Matt kept me informed the entire time. I definitely believe he went above and beyond what was needed. My experience was past excellent and I cant thank them enough. They didnt have to tell me about the notice and could have charged me for the repair. They didnt. Honest and great work!!

Im writing this review in response to the terrific service I received at Elders Automotive. I have a late model camper van that needed multiple repairs... electrical and mechanical. Considering past work Elders had done for me. And, because I took a temporary job out of state. I left my van with Elders to have this work completed. Elders surpassed my already high expectations. There was never a moment during this entire project that I was given cause for any doubt or anxiety. The Elders team performed as I had expected only better. We have trusted this auto repair company for many years and will continue to give them our trust. We have had them perform some pretty major work including my cars complete a/c with hoses, condenser coil, txv and the hole 9 yards three seasons ago and its cold as can be still today. Had transmission issues on an 06 Ford expedition. Got it all diagnosed, fixed (on time), and all for a good price, fantastic quality and great customer service. I always knew what was happening and when it was happening. Thank you Rob and Ed!

It’s the worst place! They should charge customers fairly and tell them the truth about repair time! I waited more than 24 hours and they never called me, I had to go see what happened! It’s so expensive! They were charging me 1600$ and I fixed my car in another place and I fixed my car for less than a thousand! They also forced me to pay $ 108 dollars for a diagnosis that I had told them from the beginning what my car had, and coincidentally in the diagnosis came out what I told them!! It seems to me a robbery!

This family owned business is the only place Ill take my car. Such nice, knowledgeable, and trust worthy people! I have been using their services for a while now and can assure you if you take your car to Elders you wont be disappointed. They even pick up and drop off your vehicle free of charge which is so convenient during work hours. So thankful I found this automotive shop!

I dropped off my car before 9AM and told it would be ready in the afternoon. Called to check on status at 3 PM and was told it would be ready in about 1.5 hours. I arrived at 5 PM and didnt get my car for almost an hour. Not typical for this establishment, but needed to post my dissatisfaction with this effort.

Elders Absolutely Cool Automotive has been my go-to repair shop for ten years or longer - Im on my second vehicle with them, and Id have a difficult time trusting anyone else. Not only are they excellent at WHAT they do, they are the best at HOW - they operate their business with integrity and honesty, and I know I can trust their recommendations.

I went to elders a few months ago to get my air conditioner fixed and they did a great job and every once in awhile the tube gets clogged so they fixed it no problem which I loved. But the last time I got that done one of the employees broke my door handle he told me to bring it back and they would fix it, so that left me under the impression that it would be free considering they broke it. I went back to get it fixed and he tells me that its going to cost me $90 to get repaired... I say but you broke it, and the employee up front who broke it said well the car almost has 200,000 on it, how about I meet you half way so whatever I paid the $50 at that point because I dont like going through my passenger door to get to the driver side or keeping my window rolled down to get into my car. Still think its ridiculous I had to pay to even get my car handle repaired on something they broke, so I WILL NOT be going to elders for anymore services due to the fact I had to pay for something they broke. Terrible

My wife went to Elders for a vehicle inspection a while back... and was treated as if inspections were the last thing your team wanted to do. I personally called Mr. Elder several times to see if he could help with a project vehicle from which I received no call back. He did not provide an actual quote when I was able to discuss the project with him. So my experience has actually been less than 3 stars.

I have taken my fleet vehicle as well as my personal cars to them for 3 years. Although theyre not an authorized repair facility, I have forced my fleet vendor to allow me to get my vehicle serviced here. Today they attempted to take advantage of my wife. She made an appointment to have her vehicle service here including a tire rotation only to find that the tires were never rotated. This is their 3rd time at this missed ticket item. If you asked me thats two times to many. Its ashamed too because I need an oil change every month and a half.

I recently had an issue with the air conditioner on my chevy truck and I took it in to Elders Automotive to have it checked out. The team was very professional and did an inspection with a link to see for myself what other issues needed to be addressed .There was no hard sell or intimidation but just an honest assessment and being on a fixed income I appreciate their honesty.This was my 3rd visit for repairs on different vehicles and they have always demonstrated the highest level of honesty and integrity in the business.Would I refer a friend to Elders Automotive? Absolutely the best garage I have ever dealt with! They worked on an old Porsche that even most German shops were afraid to touch. This car has 40 feet of ac hoses that needed replacing. They also replaced all the old rubber bushings under the car which is another huge feat, specially removing stubborn thirty two year old bushings that had fused to the metal plates. Will definitely be coming back despite living 30 miles away in downtown Houston

Have had a couple vehicles in for work on various issues from oil change, air conditioner, and total engine rebuild. All services have been taken care of with a personal touch of customer service.

I have been a customer for a couple of years. I have found Elders staff to be consistently very courteous, competent and professional.One of Elders policies that I appreciate is that they are always careful to avoid changing a part until it is implicated by diagnosis and troubleshooting. Consequently their repair attempts have a high success rate.They also have a free shuttle service to get you to work after you drop off your car.They are not the cheapest shop on the block but you get what you pay for; they provide value for the money. In the past I have attempted to save a few nickles by going to other shops. While this works-out some of the time, the errors made by these shops has cost me much more than the accumulated savings.

This place is first come, first serve.. someone just left as I came in on Thursday afternoon. The guy who checked me in was professional and nice to offer me beverage while I wait for 20 minutes to get my inspection done. The waiting area is neat and clean. I will go back here from now on for mine and my families inspections!

Succinctly, Elders is the best in The Woodlands area, having worked on my familys many cars AND RV for a decade. Honest, helpful, sincere- they dont do unnecessary work. Theyve talked me out of unnecessary work more than once- of course they were right. As AC specialists that make their own hoses, they also do ALL sorts of car repairs, inspections, pre- (or post-) purchase inspections, etc. 5 friends that Ive recommend go there were equally impressed. Robert & Debra run a stellar business, Miss Evelyn is the worlds best shuttle driver, & I love everyone there as they are really good people, who will help you out when you most need it, like working late on a Friday to help get me on a road trip. I cannot say enough good things about them. Its wiser to have 1 shop take care of your car, rather than hopping around to cheap shops which can recommend (if not cause) unnecessary work. Elders has honest mechanics you can trust. I love Elders Automotive! Its a hometown family shop doing exceptional work with admirable ethics. Surely they are due a community award- seriously!

I have been thoroughly pleased with all my past automotive repairs they have done. The owner knows his business as does all of his employees. He is honest and very trustworthy. I would have no qualms about using Elders in the future.

I have brought every automobile Ive owned to this group for @20yrs and will continue to do so.They are honest and trustworthy, and in that industry that says it all if you want it fixed right and on time. I was sitting in the waiting area one afternoon waiting to pick up my vehicle and saw how they treated every customer with personal concern for their satisfaction and safety,go there and see for yourself.

I took my 2003 Tahoe in to have a battery cable replaced. When I arrived to pick it up, the charge was over 400 for replacing one positive cable. They also told me the belt around the alternator needed to be replaced. This belt was replaced 3 weeks ago at Mckays. I went back to Mckays and we inspected it together and it is a new belt. Elders is a dishonest shop and I advise to avoid doing business with them. You have been warned so my obligation is done

I trust Elders to diagnose and take care of any problems that I have with my car. They have done an excellent job for me for almost 20 years. Nice people too!

Took a F-150 to get inspected before I made an offer to the private seller. This is the 3rd vehicle Ive taken to Elders for a pre-purchase inspection. The owner greeted me at the door and the guys did a thorough job. I had an appointment, and was in-and-out in less than 1.25 hours. They even txt & email you the full report.

I give them the truck to fix some gauges and head light switch. I get it back with the horn not working and the gear shifter indicator not working . They say give it back and we will fix it. They fix the gear shifter indicator and say that the horn and isnt there problem. Chalk it up to gremlins They say. It worked when we gave it to them. I go get the truck and the horn is hanging out of the steering wheel by the wires and there is a fuse on the floor. Just ridiculous. Very unprofessional. I’ll never go back there

I had been going to Elders for over 10 years.I had Oreileys check computer code and tell me what was wrong, which I relayed to Robs manager and staff.They took my truck and after 4 hours, charged me $130 and told me the exact thing that I told them , when I walked in.Rob told me he was sorry, but he had to charge me anyway. What!!??Have not been back since!

I had my car towed to them becausr the reviews for this place were amazing. I thought that they wouldnt be shady and would actually take good care of my car. Boy was i wrong. Thank god i got a second opinion. I went in with trasmission issue with my car. Basically i got a call that said the whole transmission needed to be replaced because all of their sensors were going off. Needless to say this place was going to charge me 6000 or more to fix thr issue. I couldnt afford that so i just got my car back and didnt use it. Recently the car was taken to another automotive shop and all the car needed was a little transmission fluid. Now tell me how i can get such drastically different solutions for the same problem? I have come up with 2 viable options. Either the mechanic at this shop doesnt have a clue what he/she is talking about or this shop is in it to rip people off. Its so sad that i cant even trust a mechanic to fix my car and be honest. At this point i dont want to take my cars anywhere. I would recommend finding a different shop you trust. Who knows if the work done at this place was even what was nexessary to fix the car or if it was the line the pockets with money solution.

I went to pick up my vehicle and service was complete. When I got inside my vehicle there was an open cup of water and straw paper left inside my vehicle. Blown away by the level of disrespect shown to me and my vehicle. I paid these people over 800.00 and this is what I get. I will not be returning to this shop.

Wonderful people! They go above and beyond with customer service. I am a truck driver and not from around here. I blew a high pressure water line and was broke down in the Walmart parking lot. I called and ask if they make high pressure hoses. They do. I told them I would get a taxi and head there way. The guy on the phone (Matt) said is delivery driver was out my way and would swing by and pick me up and then return me once the line was made. And that is exactly what they did. Thank you! Elders Automotive is our go to place for bumper to bumper automotive service!!!! We have used them for all types for repairs from total engine replacement to scheduled maintenance/State Inspections. Top notch, quality, affordable service....you cant get any better than that!

They did it right. Complicated a/c work on 1987 Suburban & also front end alignment on our 1991 Suburban.

Best Mechanics Ive ever been served by. They quote you up front and do not try to up-sell you. Their shuttle service is also a huge plus. They treat you like family.

Took my car in for alignment and after two weeks i had to bring it back again for alignment a bolt wasnt tifht or backed out.. They said it was all good they test drove it even i got into the car and i had to hold the steering wheel to keep it on the road i took it back for a 3 rd time and all they did was check the front end parts and said it was all good and swapped the back tires to the front even talk to the owner and still says it was ok and none of the things i was told was true i misheard his guys speak in all tjat was done im talking it else where for alignment and will be taking legal action over the worn tires that wear brand new when they aligned it .. Stay away
