Air On Time AC

My furnace broke during the storm and I called Air On Time. Charlie was here in 30 minutes, immediately identified the issue and ordered the part that was needed. He was able to reset and do a temp fix for overnight when temps were going to drop into the teens. As promised, he was here the next day with the part and it was all fixed in less than 24 hours! Honestly the best service I have ever had for an emergency issue.

The.technicians, Kyle and Lance with Air On Time AC were just terrific. They were totally competent, thorough and professional. I absolutely couldn’t be happier with the mini-split installation they did. I highly recommend Air On Time AC.

Your service is very fast and your technicians are very knowledgeable and prepared. I called in the morning that my heater was out, you arraigned an approximate time that they would be there, you called me when they were on their way and my heater was fixed within an hour of them getting here. Called Air on Time AC at 11:00 am on January 2nd, and they had a technician out before 1:00 PM. Diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and drove to the south side of Houston to pick up a part and had my problem resolved before 5:00 PM. I would highly recommend.

In today’s times, it’s hard to pick out a great AC service company. We were recommended to Air On Time AC through Amana corporation to work on our high-tech new AC system. Not only did they accept our call and get right on the job, follow up and scheduling was great. Our tech, Charlie, knew his stuff and rapidly pinpointed about three issues. We had been having problems with intermittent interruptions. He repaired the problems, pointed them out and used his equipment to actually. “talk to the unit“ and reset some of the parameters for efficiency operation. This Company came to our aide in the aftermath of Beryl hurricane. we have a home generator that was sounding different than before. We called several companies especially the one that we have a yearly contract with. No answer. This company Air On Tie was at our neighbors house and they came over to help us.. Once again Air On Time AC lived up to its name. Our heat was out and they came out in less than 2 hours after I called. Charlie was awesome. He fixed the issue, even replace my air filters for me so I didnt have to climb up there. These are the guys to call first anytime you have an HVAC issue or need. Thanks again!!

Dropped to ONE STAR. See edit below:I had Air On Time install new duct for a room addition back in September. After they installed it, the room was not cooling correctly, so I had them come back out. Technician told me I needed dampers on all ducts in the whole house in order to balance out the load. So I paid for that additional service, and he installed dampers. My utility bill went up considerably, but I just chalked it up to the room addition.Fast forward almost five months to this weekend. I discovered that one large duct they had placed a damper in had completely disconnected from the plenum because it was not installed correctly. Upon further inspection, I found that almost ALL the ducts were loose, leaking air, will collars not installed correctly to the plenum. I rarely see work quality this poor. Duct collars were originally sealed with mastic prior to Air On Times work. Their tech cut that off, shoddily reattached dampers with poor quality tape, and failed to re-seal with mastic like the original install they removed. As I said above, one large duct had spontaneously come loose, and most of the others had gaps big enough I could put my finger between the collar and plenum.I am generously adding one star to make this a two-star review because they did come back out the same day when I notified them of the problem. But that should never have been necessary!Who knows how much wasted money literally blew into my attic during the warm fall months with AC running constantly, and again during the recent cold winter spell when my unit ran constantly and I couldnt figure out why the house wasnt warming up. Receptionist apologized when I called in to report the issue, but nothing was offered to make the situation right except re-doing their own shoddy work. Then they send me a text with a link to leave a review. Done.Edit: I dropped it down to one star after Air On Time blatantly lied and refused to take responsibility. Their response is false on three points: 1) I was never advised my ducts are deteriorated, because they are not. They had just been thoroughly inspected two months prior; 2) This job was part of a larger remodel in my home, and the budget certainly would have allowed for replacement if needed; 3) most importantly, the primary problem was that their installer did not attach the collars to the plenum correctly. On several of them, I could literally stick my finger between the collar and the plenum. That has NOTHING to do with the ducts. It is true that one of the ducts just spontaneously came loose from the collar, but that is because it was not taped and sealed correctly.The original install used mastic on all joints. Air On Times installer cut off the original mastic and chose to depend upon tape alone to re-seal everything after adding dampers.Its really a shame. Looking at their other reviews, it appears that Air On Time ordinarily does an outstanding job and leaves satisfied customers behind. I believe they are a good company, and even the best of companies has a bad day every once in awhile. What you hope to see when that happens is that they take full responsibility and not seek to blame the customer for their shortcoming. But on this particular day, Air On Time did a shoddy, poor, sub-standard install and then blame-shifted when called out for it. Be warned!

Air on Time is superb! They responded quickly when my A/C stopped working, and fixed the problem. They are professional and have reasonable prices. Im a loyal customer now and highly recommend them.

I called Air on time at 7:30 am when my ac had gone out the evening before. A technician (Jaime) showed up within 30 minutes and by 9 am my AC was fixed and cooling us off! How does that happen during the summer?! I felt like I was their only customer knowing that I was most definitely was not! Jaime was kind, professional and swift to get me taken care of. He even called another technician to bring him the part so he didnt have to waste the time! My A/C quit working at about 5 in the afternoon while the outside temperature was over 100 degrees. (Right in the middle of one of our hottest summers ever) I was afraid the company would already be closed by the time I called them. They answered the phone right away but didnt know if they would be able to get anyone there that day. About an hour later they called back and said they had a technician on the way. After troubleshooting the company was able to get the supply house to open up after hours for them to pick up the necessary parts. About an hour for the technician to drive to the parts house and back. Had my A/C blowing cold air about 10 minutes later.

Im am so blessed that i called Air on Time AC. I called on Saturday morning. The lady i spoke with was so nice and gave me a time the repairman would be there. Charlie, the repairman text me to let me know he was enroute. He arrived early and located the problem. He replaced a heat run capacitor and had my unit running in a few minutes. The cost was so reasonable and such a relief since im on a fixed income. God bless you Air on Time AC.On 1-30-24 I called them because my heating unit stopped working in the middle of the night. They sent a Tech right out to my home. The tech named Charlie was fantastic. He located the problem quickly.He removed and replaced the part in a matter of a few minutes. Any time I have needed them they have always done a great job. I would not use any other company.Thank you all at Air on Time.On 5-17-24 I called them to check my outside unit to make sure every thing was ok with it. I have an older unit and wanted to make sure the vibration sound was ok. Jamie was here with in an hour. He checked my unit and said it wasOk. I was so happy. They are reasonably priced. What an awesome group of service folks! After talking to them on the phone and meeting the service technician I would never dream of calling anyone else for my heating, air conditioning or whole-house generator service. I needed service on my a/c on a Saturday; the technician was here within a couple of hours, took care of the problem and the charge was very reasonable.

Air on Time came the same day. On a hot day it was hotter inside and my AC was fixed! It was a long commute to get to my residence but Air On Time saved the day!

On going problem since August, parts were under warranty, was told it needed several different things and every time they put a part in and it still didn’t work I had to pay a Lot for labor. Finally came yesterday and put another part in and so far the unit is working, took no longer than 15 minutes to complete and I had to pay another $165. Very friendly and professional but extremely expensive and even though if they install parts that doesn’t work you still have to pay for labor whether you needed the part or not.

Whenever I call they usually come out the same day and fix whatever issue is going on. Everyone who has been here at various times through the years are very good at what they do. I highly recommend them!

Hard-working crew stayed on the job all day installing a wonderful air conditioner furnace system. Sent me pictures of the finished product in an area where I can’t get to. I’m more than pleased.

My son recommended Air On Time telling us “he was the best in the industry” - how right he was! We needed everything replaced including a furnace. The new AC units outside look like “cadillacs” and we are so pleased with the service that James and his crew provided. They are polite men who did an outstanding job in paying attention to every detail needed to complete the job. They were careful in bringing all that was needed up and down the stairs without scratching the walls or messing up the carpet. They cleaned up after the job was completed and took even their empty water bottles with them when they left. The AC works beautifully and we are extremely grateful to this company for their work. We’ve had our share of trouble in the past with our central air conditioning units and had to deal with a lot of different companies through the years. THEY DELETE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Extremely unprofessional. Avoid. Especially the owner and receptionist, who had the nerve to call me, raise their voices and try to talk over me. Charlie came over to give us an estimate (we had no problem with Charlie), and originally told us it would be a “couple hundred bucks” but then went out, called the owner and came back in with a $680 estimate. We decided not to use his services at that time. Still, we had no problem with Charlie, we just didn’t appreciate that the estimate went up so much, and my husband left a review saying our estimate went up (which they’ve deleted already). We received 2 estimates from other companies in the area at $230 and $250. Today, the receptionist called me with an attitude that needs adjusting, claiming that just because we received a free estimate that we basically had no right to post a review. It is your business practice to offer free estimates... that has nothing to do with me. And as far as I’m concerned, an estimate does not guarantee that we will do business with you- it’s just an estimate. Shortly after I explained that, the owner jumps on the phone and also had a major attitude. EXTREMELY unprofessional. Running your own business can be difficult I understand, but to call and harass a potential customer over your fluctuating estimate is ridiculous. I think because I am a woman he thought he could overpower me on the phone. Not the case. You 100% deserve this 1 star review for the way you speak to people. Best of luck to you and your company with improving your people skills.

Air On Time sent someone out very quickly when I had some a/c problems. The technician,William, was there in no time, checked the system and found the problem. He was professional and knowledgeable and went to work on the repair. The tech checked over his work and cleaned everything up before leaving.The cost was fair and I will call this company again when I need a/c work done. Very satisfied.

Our A/C went out and they had Kyle at my house the same afternoon. He stayed in constant communication with me the whole time, as did James, and they were honest about the estimate and helped work with the manufacturer to make sure we were still covered under the warranty. My store thermostat went out at my store, Sunday. The lovely lady that answered my call was Jessica. She was so smart and honest. She suggested that we try changing the batteries. IT WORKED! I will always call Air On Time in the future. A year later and wonderful Charlie fixed both my store heater and my home heater. These people are honest!

You will not find any service company anywhere and of any kind that still puts customers first like Air-On-Time. The owner James take personal responsibility for their work. Dealt with a lot of different A/C companies. None of them come close.

James has installed new equipment for me personally and came to the rescue when my elderly mom had her a/c act up. They were professional, on time, explained the work to be done and fixed a problem with the vibration in our wall That could not be fixed by another company. They replaced a defective new air conditioner, installed a new heater to be compatible with our air conditioner, Installed a roof jack for the new heater, re- hung our sagging ductwork, installed an additional return vent and completed the work on time and cleaned up. I came home from work last night to warm air blowing out of the vents. I wasnt finding much luck on getting someone to come out on a Sunday night to look at it. The temp inside with fans going was still almost 91 degrees at one point. I looked up Air On Time AC and gave them a call. James answered and got us worked in last minute. Drew showed up to do the repair and was very quick and efficient. He cleaned up as he went and even showed my boyfriend what was wrong. Drew thoroughly explained to us about what needed to be done in laymans terms since we dont know much about AC repairs. He finished the repair in almost no time at all and had us back up and running! Shannon left our house after 2 hours of running through multiple tests, component changes, system recharges, and one leak stop w/teflon system induction. After a 20-minute wait time from initially calling Air On Time AC, a certified tech was on site and trouble shooting our systems inability to push cool air. Before now, wed trusted a competitor who had just checked the system in March with no problems noted but theyd been in and out in about 30 minutes. Shannon actually did all the checks that were supposedly completed before and found a couple of long standing issues that should have shown up before hand on any competent evaluation.All in all, this one visit has restored our faith in customer service and has won customers whose loyalty doesnt come easily.

Having previously turned to James (the owner of Air On Time AC) for a completely new HVAC system including all new ducts in our home, we felt very confident in recommending him as THE go-to person for repairing one of the heating systems at our church. James personally did the troubleshooting and quickly determined the problem, clearly stating the details involved in the repairs needed and the final cost to repair. This company is extremely responsive and transparent. James (the owner) came out to my house within the hour during state-wide blackouts and inclement weather whereas the big-name HVAC shop I called still hasnt returned my call 5 days later. James and Air On Time AC technicians explained everything they were doing to diagnose my old furnace. When they found the issue and gave me my options it was an easy choice to put in a new unit and they were able to come install it the next morning.I think James really cares about his customers and thats rare to find in any business. Ill be using this company again in the future.

Updated: Just got a response to my review a year after the fact. Very glad to have found a truly honest and dependable AC company to use instead of ones like this. Y’all charged us $600 to change a capacitor and clear a drain, and then when it stopped working after you left you came back and unplugged the UV light and it started working again. The capacitor you took out was fine, we checked it after y’all changed it out. We still have it as back up. So basically what was wrong was just the UV light being plugged in. $600 for unplugging a UV light. Even still, Amazon sells capacitors for $20. Always do your research before paying these outrageous prices for changing out a part that takes 30 seconds to do. $330 to change out a $20 part that you literally have to turn off the power, change, then turn back on. Yeah. Real fair. If you Google that by the way, the average of what someone charges to change out a capacitor do you know what it says? Between $60 and $200. So your “standard” charge is not standard. You are rude to boot.My husband and I are a little confused about whether or not the part that they replaced was really needing to be replaced, and why it costs so much for the part which is $20 to be replaced (cost $330 for them to do it). We have 4 young kids including a 6 month old so we were desperate for air in this 100°+ heat. Our unit stopped cooling again after they left and even after we replaced the capacitor on our own it still wasn’t working after they replaced the Contactor, so we called the company back and told them and they sent the technician back out. He went up in the attic and turned off the UV sanitizing light that was hooked up to it and it started working again. So now my husband and I are wondering if we really needed to pay the $330 for the Contactor being replaced or if we had just had the technician turn off the UV light would our existing Contactor have continued working fine. On the one hand, we’re happy our a/c is working especially in this heat, and glad they got the technician back out to address the continuing issue, on the other hand still wondering if we needed to spend the total we did which is a lot of money for us.

My unit froze over so I called Air On Time to come and check it out the technician was efficient jumped right in and check for leaks after determining low refrigerant. Price was very reasonable I highly recommend yall give them a call if you need any repair, maintenance, or installations.

The company was reffered to me by a friend that used them.This company is awesome! Shannon came out to my house on a Saturday, got me financed for a new AC unit and was completely honest with the work that was being performed and helped me prioritize future work that needed to be done. It felt like I was talking to a buddy. Shannon never tried to push me into services I didnt need like previous service people from another company attempted. The work was done that same day and everything was triple checked to very high standards before the team left. I was also provided with a follow up call the next day which is an unfortunate uncommon thing these days with customer service. From now on, Air On Time will be the company I call for my HVAC needs and I would recommend them.

James and his crew above and beyond in replacing some duct work for me - working in less than desirable conditions. But they did the job quickly and at a more than reasonable price. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when the need arises.

James and his crew did an excellent job of installing 2 units (upstairs and downstairs) for me. I had problems with the upstairs unit not dehumidifying and James came out to figure out the problem. it was discovered that my thermostat was receiving false readings because the wall it was on was exposed to the attic with no insulation. The unit was working fine. We made adjustments to the thermostat until I can get the problem corrected. Now the both systems work great. Air On Time was on the spot with a great price. I would highly recommend them!

I had an 8:00 A.M service time, and Matthew showed up 2 minutes before 8. I explained him the problem with the unit, which was that it was making a whining noise, and he went into the attic, diagnosed the problem, and explained it so that I would understand what he was doing. He gave me a price to how much the part and service would cost, which was very reasonable, and then installed the part. He also aligned the fan which was just off center, and proceeded to test the unit to make sure the job was done correctly, which it was. Quick, thorough, and very reasonable. What more can you ask for?

I am so pleased!!! They did a wonderful job, and they made sure everything was working perfectly, plus they cleaned up all the mess. You cant tell they were here!!! We will always use them from now on for our AC and Heating needs!!! I am disabled and diabetic, I havent had Ac in 7 years. They gave us a fantastic quote and called plus texted everyday to check on me until they came out to install the unit. I cant say enough good things about them. Air on Time maintained our two old units for at least 10 years. They installed two new units in June of 2013. We love the new ACs! They are extremely energy efficient and dehumidify our home so that we are almost cold in here during the sweltering summer months of Houston. I highly recommend James and all his staff. Honest, dependable, hardworking and capable is how I describe them.

Spend 15k with a company and they scalp you a year later for a service charge. Technician was great but company greed lost a customer. John Moore will get my business for annual maintenance!

Great honest company. We had an AC company sent us their rep and told us we need freon and it leaking too, total will be around $580.00. It was too much so we starting looking on google and came across AIRON TIME AC. Mr. Shannon came and within seconds Spot the problem and fixed for only $139.99HIGHLY SUGGESTED. Honest people .

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The estimate they gave me changed immensely within a span of 15 mins... from $400 to $900. The tech called the owner and then the price changed. When I questioned the change I was met with attitude and the owner raised his voice at me. Seems like the owner tried to up the estimates to get more business. I called another place in the Conroe area and they quotes me substantially less for the same job. Id say find somewhere else - There are plenty of small businesses in the area that are actually honest.

Called them up after another company came out (TCS of Conroe) & told me the fan motor seamed to be bad, but the compressor was probably bad also. I needed to let the compressor cool down & he would back to check it in few hours. Told me I would probably have to replace whole system because of the age & it was a type of Freon that is not allowed anymore. He gave a quote to replace the whole system.In the meantime I called AIR ON TIME A.C. & told the person that answered the phone my issues. I told her I needed to get quote to replace an old system. She said she would have someone call me ASAP. James, the owner called within a few minutes. He said was at a job & would come to me next to look at my system & give me a quote on replacing our old system. TCS had given me a quote allready.James came out still before 11 a.m.. He looked at our system & gave me an estimate that was a $1000 cheaper than TCS (he did not know of the estimate I had).I asked him if would look at what the other company was doing? He said sure. He check the components electrically. Within minutes he told me the compressor was okay & that the capacitor for the fan motor was bad. He replaced the capacitor & the fan came on. He then checked amperage that the motor was pulling & it was pulling over it limit. Meantime the motor was getting very hot. He told me I could leave it like that but suggested to replace the motor or it could happen again soon.Come to find out that the fan blades needed to replaced also because the one on it was NOT O.E.M. (original equipment manufacturer).When he came back with parts he not only replaced the motor & fan blades, he also took out the capacitor for the fan motor & wired it back with proper capacitor for the system instead of having 2 capacitors. The system now even blows out more air through the coils.We are very happy the quality of work & honesty of his business.This work was done on a garage apartment & now we will have him check the house & the 2 systems for it. Also do yearly checks.Thank you very much.

James and his crew are awesome, my A/C went out and they came right out and told me what was wrong. I had to get a new unit and they put it in the same night, they worked till 11:30 pm and had us back with cold air. The guys were very polite and they cleaned up the mess. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Had a Freon leak that was really small, took them 3 tries to find it but they did - turned out to be 5 leaks in the coil. They could have replaced the coil the first trip, but they were determined to locate the leak before they replaced anything. Honest people with a fair price - something thats hard to find in their business! Plus they respond quickly and as the company name implies - they are on time! Will continue to let them do the maintenance on my system.

I had another Ac company come out and tell me the only thing they could do is replace my compressor for $3-4,000 and wouldnt be able to do it until next week. Then after they left, I noticed my other zone was out too?! So I got on google maps and searched up this company and it was after 6pm and approaching 100 degrees. They shot on over and fixed both zones for peanuts. Turned out only being the quick-start (like a secondary capacitor) and the other zone just had some loose wires. On Time Air also stocks a lot of likely typical parts that where out in our Texas heat. No doubt these guys new what to do, very agile, very fast, very thorough, cleaned up as they went. And as a side note, if One time air had to replace the compressor, it was less than half of what the other guys quoted.
