Long Air Conditioning

Long AC Company is excellent. The Technician David, came out and found the problem with my AC unit (Freon leaking from Evaporator Coil). David verified my existing warranty, ordered a new Coil, and a Long AC crew came out in just a day or 2 and installed the new Coil. All I paid was Labor, which was very reasonable. Thanks David and the Crew of Long AC. Great folks at Long AC and excellent Customer service.

The AC at my business was not functioning. Since my regular AC guy was out of town he sent me his contact to look at the AC. This contact told me the evaporator coil was not working and quote $5K+ for replacement. I called another AC company for a second opinion. This company said the compressor was bad and the best to go was to replace the entire outside unit for $12K+ after that he would be able to identify whether the evaporator coil need to be replaced. I then called Long Air Conditioning. They had the AC fixed with just replacing the dryer and all in all it cost me $600. These guys were true professionals, knew what they were doing and did not try to sell me something I did not need. Main thing was they identified the correct problem and saved me a tone of money. It was not the compressor or the evaporator coil. I strongly recommend their services. They certainly have mine going forward. Thank you Long Air Conditioning.

Colby and his crew were absolutely solid. Installed dual 3 ton mini splits in my workshop and turned very clean on the install. Couldn’t be happier with the project results.

CALL.THESE.GUYS!!I received an estimate from another company. I reached out to Long for a second opinion. It appears the first company was trying to sell me unneccessary equipment and repairs. Long AC was upfront and honest reducing the installaion of my new AC by a little over 30%.I cannot thank these guys enough for their awesome customer service which seems to be a lost art this day and age!!

Long has been consistently maintaining our 2 commercial units for the last 2 years. One of the units was pretty old and finally blew its last breath on Monday. Long came out the very next day to install a new unit. Theyve also serviced the system on my older home. Great service, great techs. Highly recommended.

Two years ago (Oct. 2020) our Carrier unit went out. We were told we needed a new system. We purchased one from Long AC - it was a Luxaire. It was a cheaper unit, but we were told these ACs run excellent and the tech supposedly had one in his home and he said it worked great. Fast forward to the first summer with the new AC unit - it wasnt cooling. Contacted Long and they sent someone out who discovered the compressor was fried. They didnt tell us why, but said it was still under warranty and installed a new compressor. Fast forward for this summer - a year later - same issue - it wasnt cooling. Long comes out and tells us the compressor is fried again and they will have to send it off to the place it was purchased to have it examined to see the cause - we were told if it was something within the house that was causing the issue, then none of it is covered - neither the compressor or the labor. Well, labor isnt covered either way, because it expired after a year. I contacted two other reputable companies and they came and looked at the unit and were in disbelief at what the Longs did to us. They said they should have known that because we are running off of 2 different types of freon - that is what kept frying the compressor and the Longs should have known this from the get go. The Longs only came in our house one time - they never looked at the inside unit. They being the so called experts should have noticed this from the get go, but they didnt. I am absolutely disgusted with this company. They basically stole our money. They have not contacted us at all to resolve this issue or check on us in the hottest weeks of the summer .... knowing full well we have no AC... This is insane and I am going to report them to the licensing and regulation board. This should have never happened. At the very least they should refund us our money that we spent on an AC, which we also found out was an older model. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - do your homework and go to a real AC company!!!

I had a great experience with this company. They were to house in a reasonable time. They not only fixed what was wrong now, but spotted a potential problem and fixed that. All work was well done and at a reasonable price.

All of the people that we have dealt with so far from the the estimator , to the installation crew were all very professional and helpful in the understanding of how the equipment operates and answered any questions we had about the system. Very good people to work with and would recommend them to anyone that needs A/C service or installation.

My AC Died in the middle of the day Thursday in May in Texas! Long AC had it fixed by 10 AM the following day. I work from home and it is critical to be able to work comfortably. The person on the phone as well as the technician (Darrell) were polite and informative. Couldnt have asked for a better service. Had the problem IDd (Capacitor and Freon) and fixed within an hour. Awesome job.

Drives 35 in a 45 next to a truck trailer making sure no one can pass. If youre going to drive like an idiot, make sure you dont do it in a company vehicle.

Had to call them at 3 am, Norman called back and was on location at 4am, unit was repaired and running in 20 minutes. This was after being out since 11pm the night before. I had called other “24 hr” companies, 3 to be exact, and getting nothing. I should have called them first! Price was much lower than I expected.

Issue: insufficient coolingExperience: I initially called another provider, and they did not even take measurements. Instead they just tried to sell me new equipment. Norman from Long AC came out. He used the IR gun to measure discharge air, and it was warmer than expected. He put gauges on determining low freon. He ended up putting 2 lbs of freon in and the discharge air is now 8 degrees cooler.

Long AC installed my HVAC equipment in my new house. Colby is very knowledgeable and recommends what is right. If he wouldnt recommend it for his home, hes not going to recommend it to you. Honest and very reliable. I recommend Long AC for all your HVAC needs both new and on the service side .

Long AC replaced the whole HVAC system in our home this past week. So far, I am very pleased with both the Trane equipment and their installation. A multi-generational, family owned, long established, local company is usually hard to beat, and that is what Long Air Conditioning is.

***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** Was told (during summer 2018) business needed an entire new HVAC system. Long’s has services this system for years prior to this. Got second opinion and only minimal repair was needed. Fast forward to today and business’ heater not working. Evidently Long’s AC disconnected our heater. Maybe they were hoping we’d cave in and get that brand spankin new HVAC after all. Great tactics to keep customers!!

Bad experience, i bought an ac capacitor for the ridiculous amount of $80.00 then i checked the same part in internet and the real price was just $15,00 no recommend it at all.

I actually gave them a five star a year ago, because I didn’t know what I know now. I’m so disappointed in their service; they charged me ridiculously in June to service a unit and we’re in August and it’s the same issue with the unit. The tech was unfriendly and uncaring. When I called about the issue, they told me that they had no warranty for a job that they did two months ago, and it would be extra to come out to check the unit because it’s an emergency. Really???? I didn’t even ask him to come out. I was just contacting them to set an appointment . I’m sorry they will never get business from me and my family again. I found a great guy who fixed the problem for a lot less than long ac stole from me. I hope they will reevaluate their customer service and do better in the future.
