Weve had multiple problems with our furnace since the very beginning of moving in to our new home 4 years ago, almost every year something different wrong with it. Early on, we had the builders HVAC company do warranty work, then another company replace 2 other parts over the years, but no one could get to the bottom of the problem. We decided to take a chance on Affordable Air Repair, and it didnt take Jehu and Frank long to realize what a mess things were with the furnace, how unsafe it was, and what needed to be done. Jehu explained everything thoroughly and then went to bat for us when the supplier was going to charge us a hefty amount to ship the 3 parts if we wanted them quickly. He got the shipping down to a reasonable cost AND basically had them overnighted. Then Frank shows up with his happy and positive demeanor and had the heat back on in less than an hour. Working with them was so pleasant and reassuring. We finally feel like we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing everything is fixed properly and we can safely heat our home. Thank you!

These guys were amazing! They came to repair a complex job we needed done on our dryer venting. They were so patient and professional while determining the source of our issue. Im in the process of selling my home and during the inspection it was discovered that the upstairs heating unit was not working. I called Affordable air and they had technicians out that day to look at it. When Elgin and Daniel showed up they went straight to work and discovered that a blower motor was no longer working and explained to me in detail what needed to be done. Daniel was able to locate a replacement motor locally and placed it on order. He came back Monday morning and within about 30 minutes had the whole system up and running I most definitely would recommend this company to anyone needing heating or AC repair at a reasonable price.

Speedy and professional service. Danielcame out on Black Friday and replacedour thermostat. 3 days later my system wouldnt start up. The owner Jehu personally came out to troubleshoot the issue. He stayed until everything was up and running and I learned alot about my system along the way. He was very knowledgeable and didnt talk down to me. He takes great pride in his trade. We had an AC not cooling issue in the middle of the night in early August and called Affordable who we had not used before. Our house is only 8 years old. The tech (Matt) arrived when promised and found that a wear part on the condensing unit needed replacement. He said that nothing else other than this part replacement was needed and didnt push any additional services on us, which we really appreciated. With trust established, we did have him go ahead and check out the system and perform yearly maintenance while he was here. We would definitely recommend Affordable to others as being reliable and honest.

We are really happy with the installation of new ducts and new Mitsubishi units inside and out by Affordable Air. Jehu and his team did excellent work, solving any issues discovered along the way. I dont think any other team could have done better work. On time, polite and did excellent job with the air duct cleaning. They carefully moved the piano out of the way and replaced it. The area under the vents and the area under them were left clean.

Was such a pleasure to work with an AC company that really cares about their customers and also helps us understand the real problem. Jehu came in and took me through everything step by step in order to find the problem with our unit and what the solution was to fix it. I had a company that had been out prior and they quoted me an astronomical amount for something that did not even need to be done and would not have fixed my problem. While servicing our AC system they discovered a plugged drain line and Freon leaking from a coil. They proposed replacing the old worn-out equipment with a sleek new modern high 22 SEER Energy Efficient Rating System. Were we ready for such an expense? Of course not, but their financing helped us to get what we needed. Just look at this great system.Not only did we save money from damage, wasted repairs, and constant energy losses from poor equipment performance, but was a much better price than the competition – believe me – I am a careful shopper. Now, I am learning to use all of the new bells and whistles to better manage our energy cost. I now have a geofence that tells me when my wife is coming home - I mean it tells me when we are close to home and adjust our energy settings to save money.Did I mention I have dual heating (gas and a heat pump for max BTU efficiency) and so many other features. No one is paying to say how happy I am with Affordable Airs services, expertise and price. I just am. If you’re as satisfied with your AC folks, then give them a glowing report as well. if not, be cool and give Affordable Air Repair a shout. Tell ‘em Rick said so.

They were able to come out quickly to check out my A/C, and perform the approved remedies. Technician was courteous and patiently explained what he was doing, and presented clear technical results of his findings. One recommendation was preventive and one was an immediate improvement. Luckily my 13 yr old system was in good shape and just needed Freon for now. When he arrived the system was only cooling the intake air 8 degrees before sending back out the room vents, and after the additional Freon is was cooling the air 20 degrees. Time will tell if I have an undiscovered leak, but that can be determined next summer during the next check. They offer different monthly payment plans with corresponding benefits, but I opted for the one time fee. There was not any pressure for a plan, just informed of it in case I wanted it.

Jehu and his team were absolutely fantastic. I needed to replace my entire AC system as it was 24 years old after suffering a 6 day power outage the system had decided it was time to retire. I called Affordable Air Repair and they sent a technician out the same day to evaluate my needs and provide me with options. A couple days later a small army of workers arrived and replaced my entire system.Jehu had two different leads, who were both fantastic, coordinating the small army of workers . Jehu himself came by twice that day to make sure everything was going smoothly, and it absolutly was. Jehu also came by the following day to double-check the refrigerant levels and just to make sure the system was performing to my expectations.I would advise anyne who needs service, repair, or a new system to definitely reach out to Affordable Air Repair. Thier service was top notch and as a customer I felt very well cared for!10/10

We had Affordable Air replace both AC systems, including duct work 4 years ago. I had them come out for a service in May 2024. The tech was very polite (even wore shoe protectors when inside the house) and was able to easily explain his inspection process with details. The tech was very thorough in his sysyem inspection. He did find some issues, however the units are still under warranty. Will continue to use Affordable for all our AC services.Follow up on repair service: same tech came out for the leak repair. He was able to find the leaks and make necessary repairs. He then confirmed repairs held pressure. Added necessary refrigerant and the AC now works as designed.

Very nice sales people for sure. Unfortunately, I wanted an actual repair man with a willingness to repair my unit. Instead, I paid ninety five dollars for a ridiculous quote to buy a new unit at $10k to $12k, or I paid ninety five dollars for a ridiculous quote of three thousand dollars to refill my unit with an additional eleven hundred dollars to find the leak.I am very disappointed.I wanted a repairman not a sales guy. Nice people hundred percent, no complaint on the niceness of the sales people that showed up.I was very specifically told them that r22 is no longer manufactured (100% not true) And that if they could even find it. It would cost me $3000 to refill my 10 pound system.YET, I logged on to amazon and bought all the r22 I needed along with a couple of cans of leak seal for r22 systems as well. Cost me only $600. I put it in myself and it has been working fabulously and flawlessly Ever since.I do not know why I expected.for anything to happen except for me to get hussled out of a ninety five dollar service call.If I meet anybody who wants to purchase a new system I may or may not tell them about you.IF I meet anybody who needs sincere repair man, with a willingness to repair first, I will tell them do not call this company ever ever ever.Consensus, highly dissatisfied and I feel robbed out of ninety five dollars.Sincerely,Donnie WhiteHumble TX

Jay and Matt were of great assistance when I called in the early mornings of a Sunday. My AC stopped working properly and unfortunately in Texas that is a bit of an emergency. You should definitely work with Jehu and the Affordable Air Repair team! My AC went down and I had 2 different techs come out from a competitor and they couldn’t diagnose the issue. They suggested a full replacement of my system (right at 10 years old). I called Jehu and he had me up and running in one hour for less than the cost of a car payment. He’s saved me thousands already and he will do the same for you!

Matt was fantastic he helped not only find a leak in our AC system but helped educate us on what was going on and how he fixed it. He is very easy going and talked so highly about this company so I will be going with them from now on and recommending them to everyone!

Affordable is always helpful, timely and affordable only fixing the problem and not always selling something that is not needed! Had an issue with our thermostat and out technician was helpful and patient as we learned how to properly use our new equipment.

Affordable Air Repair repaired some things not done by previous company on the first visit. I have an older unit that thankfully is not ready to kick the bucket. They help me baby it and running in top shape. It did fantastic during the 2023 summer, lower bills than some of my neighbors with newer units and I credit them for helping my system do that well. I recommend them when asked.

The young technician that was sent to service our A/C units was the consummate professional. Very through in his duties, very personable. Jehu and his team are very great/timely/reliable/knowledgeable maintenance crew. I was referred by a friend last year and it was the best decision I made. Not just because of the affordability but most importantly the great service they offered. They dont rush while on the job, they recommend but they dont force, they gave you time to decide and options to choose. Call them if you want to keep your HVACs in great condition, its very costly to repair.

If you google Good Character Traits, Im not sure you could find a better description for Affordable Air Repair. My initial inquiry was quickly answered and an appointment set for the next day. The owner responded to my home and I felt comfortable from the moment he greeted me. He was down to earth, focused on root causes, and provided valuable insights/recommendations that added tremendous value. I have traded text messages with him a couple times since and he has always been responsive to my inquiries. We are lucky to have a gem like this in our backyard. Companies like this are few and far between.

Wonderful service, family owned local company. We had an entire 50+year old A/C system including ductwork and vents replaced. They provided portable cooling units until the work was completed so we could be comfortable in this over 100 degree heat. More than pleased.

He helped cut the lock off with bolt cutters that I found in my husbands shed and was very kind to do it because I doubt that I could have. There are a ton of HVAC companies in Houston. This company is different than all the rest. I have been using HVAC companies from the Houston area for over two decades so I have many to compare with Affordable Air. Do not let the name of the company cause you to think this is cheap, second grade equipment or service. Their service is outstanding! They show up on time, they are honest, family owned and really know their stuff. They can custom design a system for you, install it and then take care of it for you until it reaches the end of its lifespan. Their service program is highly recommended and keeps their equipment running in tip top shape. After replacing our entire unit and condenser with another company we still had issues with temperatures through the house being uneven. You would be cold in one room and hot in another. I asked Jehu (owner) to come out and trouble shoot and he nailed it! Our ducts were undersized and inadequate for the unit and home! He wrote up a plan, scheduled, arrived and was respectful of my home and dogs and now we dont even know we have AC running! It is quiet, balanced and we dont notice ANY differences in temperature from room to room! AND we are saving money on our electric bill as a result!
