They were responsive, but the guy didn’t even check our fuses. We found a bad fuse (with the advice of our electrician) and replaced it ourselves with no problems since—been over a month. He said we may need a new board $800, but in reality we only had to replace a $2 fuse. CHECK THE FUSES

Put the ECM in and it works like a charm. I appreciate what yall do. Also, Shaun and Bear AC arent out to make a quick buck. Shaun diagnosed the unit and stated it was the ECM and checked to see if it was under warranty. It was and thats good. I said that to say this, he very well could have said, Im sorry sir but your motor is out of warranty and could have cost me no telling how much. But integrity was there and I appreciate it. I cannot recommend Bear A/C and Heating enough! After a frustrating experience with another company, Best Air, I was left in a bind when my A/C system completely stopped working. I was unable to meet him face-to-face, but we did talk over the phone. He was very respectful very polite got in the house. Did what he needed to do and got out and he gave me thorough information. Their prices are fair. I will definitely recommend.

After calling several companies we realized yes indeed your company over charges and im not the first customer to call you out on it. Clean and repair by brazing. Replace coil and assemble panels and Top. Braze in copper lines with new filter drier. Pressurize and hold for testing, pull deep vacuum and hold for testing. Replace refrigerant and continue charging. Anyone cutting corners from this gave you a show, not a service.We always ask for reviews and as always we appreciate the thoughts of our neighbors. Johnny came out and I was disappointed. He didnt introduce himself. I assume it was Johnny because of my email telling me who was coming. We told him what was wrong, he seemed like he didnt want to be there. He glanced at things, didnt get under the trailer so see the damage or check the a/c unit. We had to show him where the supply duct was not connected. He said there wasnt a temporary fix and they couldnt come back until the week of July 8th and today is June 28th. My husband had to do a quick (temporary) fix so snakes could not get into the house or any other animals. My husband should have been paid because he had to do ALL the work. How do I know this is the only spot of damage under the trailer when he did not check???? VERY DISAPPOINTED!! All he did was look at what we showed him. I cant use Bear A/C if he is the one that is going to do the work. He didnt make me feel he was competent at all. I asked him why is it going to take so long to come back and he said its hot and we have lots of calls.

Bear provided exceptional service. They had very quick response times, kept us in the loop from start of the service to end of the service. There’s not a rating high enough for the service the provided us.James was great. He was very informative. He explained everything that needed to be done and why. He explained what to do and what not to do as far as maintaining our system. He was so respectful and courteous.When it came time to pay, I was expecting some hidden cost (as there usually is in my past experience) but nope no hidden cost. The price was as quoted.I would definitely recommend them.

Bear AC sent someone out to fix our unit within a couple of hours max! Our technician Johnny figured out the problem and cleaned out our line within about 30 minutes. He took the time to answer any questions we had and made suggestions on how to keep the drain line clear. I will definitely use Bear again!

I called Bear AC on a Sunday morning, and a tech came out in about an hour. The service call is a bargain at $79 (on a weekend!). The tech was thorough and methodical, identified the issue and got the system working again quickly. Bear AC was recommended by a friend, this was the first time I called them. Ill use them in the future and totally recommend them.

I called Bear AC over the weekend and they promptly answered ready to assist. After setting up an appointment for the Monday after the weekend, I was encouraged that they notified me before they arrived and they were on time.After a quick and professional inspection of my system, they easily discovered the issue. After they gave me an initial estimate, they actually called back and told me that they were able to get part cheaper and discounted my invoice to match the difference. To say I was surprised is an understatement. I now have a new AC company to call on in the future.

First impression was awesome! We needed an appointment to diagnose our air conditioning problem. Gave us a time window and was here with-in it, but gave us a courtesy call as well to let us know he was on his way. Took measurements and pictures of the problem areas to show us, which was duct work and duck board.We were sent an email the same day with estimate. We will be using them for our repair. All around outstanding! I called around at 5pm and they were the only ones who picked up the phone. A/c wasn’t cooling the house. Tech was at my house within 20 minutes (might have been even less) and everything was up and running better than before by 6:30pm. Bear AcWhen a tragedy happens , the upset along with the discomforts are tremendous.Lightning struck a tree in my yard 4/28/24, sending charge through the ground and shorted my a/c out, sunday 4/29/24 a tech came out which was awesome and found the problem, which was the nest thermostat, once all the testing done , the Tech cross wired the control bored causing it to burn up and throw the breaker, needed to order Control board so on 5/6/24 another service tech came out to install New control board Tech installed and cross wired so it fried the control board. realizing his mistake ordered a third panel and the following day returned with yet another control board, wired it correctly and now working fine. However, the charge of $406.82 for control bored that they burned up due to cross wiring and the charge 196.00 diagnostic felt a little steep especially when it was not any fault of my own . Being charged for the control bored that was burned and fried due to incompetence of the A/c Tech should not be passed on to the customer. Due to this incompetence during all the heat and humidity I did not have a working unit until 5/7/24!Please do not use Bear A/C - Heating ! You will be charged for their mistakes!yDESCRIPTION OF WORKCalled because lightning struck a tree, and the furnace started making a loud buzzing sound.Upon inspection of the furnace the buzzing had died down, but it was traced to the back to an issue with the thermostat base plate giving a stray voltage enough to excite the magnet in the heater relays.While attempting the test the fan operation the board burned up and tripped the breaker.Temporarily bypassed the board to determine that the fan motor is operational without the board.Customer intends to replace the Nest thermostat, and will check on a replacement board when the supplier is open

Johnny was great. Came out the same day I called. Had my washing machine fixed in a few days after ordering the part I needed.

I was recommended Bear as a company that would come out on a Sunday and Im glad I called. The worker who answered was very professional and polite. He came right out within about an hour. I will definitely be calling them for any future AC issues.

Prior to commencing work Shaun ascertained what I would need and the cost. He also advised me that the sheer age of the machines would necessitate replacement in the near future. That allowed me to make the decision whether or not to go ahead with the repairs first. This young man endeavored to make everything as painless as possible for me. Heat upstairs was 100 degrees and 88 downstairs. It was intolerable. Shaun worked through it all, quietly and efficiently. The one motor literally collapsed into pieces in his hands as he illustrated what had happened. I will most certainly be using Bear AC and Heating services for the installation of the new equipment in October/November of this year.

Its very hard to find a solid, reputable business in the Pt. Blank, TX area. We have a B&B and live over an hour away; so our time is tight. Bear AC and Heating has helped us out on more than one occasion. The technicians that have been to our home are always exceptionally polite, KNOW their Business, and get things done in a precise and prompt manner. I highly recommend this business.

We were on a good beginning with a a very kind voice from Jamie and appt was set with a 2 hour window 12-2 for the service man to appear. we left at 10am and I called Jamie and announced we were leaving Sugarland and would arrive approx 12:30 pm. to make a long story short. After calls from Sean to say he was running late and could we reschedule we waited and waited and waited. No Sean at approx 3;30 pm we left the house at 92% and went home and prepared to go to work.Sean ask could we re schedule and I said noIt was a horrible experience. Anita

This is the second unit that Bear AC has installed for me. the first one was a 3.5 ton heat pump and this was a 2 ton AC/Heat. they are always very professional and leave the job site clean. the crew is extremely cordial (Shawn and Evan) and the installation crew are also very good. i would use them again! but hopefully not for a few years given how much i’ve spent already.

We used this company immediately upon moving into our new residence in New Caney, Texas and found them to be reasonably priced and professional. And although they were initially able to get our AC working, we have since learned that the C wire on our nest thermostat is not connected, preventing us from maintaining a set temperature. We have made three attempts to reach them over the past week and have yet to receive a call back. The first voicemail was ignored entirely. The second call was answered and we were told they would check the schedule and get back to us in about an hour. This was a Saturday, so when we did not receive a call back, we left another voicemail on Monday and asked them to at least let us know if they weren’t able to get someone out so that we could move on and try a different company. Today is Wednesday and we’ve yet to receive even a courtesy call. No longer impressed🥹

In my 45 years as a real estate professional Bear AC is the most impressive company i’ve ever hired .In this day and age of service people not showing up and not calling , doing shoddy work Bear AC was more then a breath of fresh air .I highly recommend this company that will jump thru hoops for their customers.

I was referred to Jaime from a family friend. Called about 7pm and they prioritized my issue and came out the next day. The issue was with my upstairs unit and they fixed the issued on the spot. Honest and reasonable pricing. Had the same issue a week later on the downstairs unit. They came out within a few hours on a Saturday and fixed the issue on the spot. I could not recommend this company enough.

I can not say enough about this company!!! They answered on a Sunday evening and was at my Moms house with a fix with in two hours!!! ON A SUNDAY. Great explaining the problem and how it would be fixed. Didnt brake the bank on the after hour call which was great for a fixed income person. Will be doing all of our AC business with them.

Bear AC and Heating has literally pulled us out of a ditch. In 2014, we paid over $11,000 to another company to install Lennox central heat/air with new duct work in our 100 year old plus house. Everything except the gas furnace was done incorrectly. The biggest problem was that the former company didn’t bother to register the warranty, so as we got farther into the process, we couldn’t even get replacement equipment. In 2016, we noticed the house was sweating. That was due to the previous company putting in too large of an outside condenser. Between 2016 and 2019 Bear has replaced the outside unit with an appropriate sized American Standard unit. They added an extra return in the kitchen. They have corrected the copper lines (had so much “arc” in them that they caused the Freon to coagulate and blow out the TX valve). They have replaced the 5 year old Lennox coil with an American Standard. They have blown insulation into a portion of the attic that was never insulated and they have modified the duct work so that it works properly and efficiently. I think it takes a special person willing to come in and clean up another company’s mess and work through problems. Jamie has been patient, answered all of our questions and his prices are competitive. They are very careful about completing the work. They were fastidious about draping off the area when they blew in the insulation. Jamie rescheduled the insulation work for another day without rain. He said, “I don’t want to put anything damp up in your attic.” How many people would be that cautious? They always put runners and cover their shoes with booties to protect your floor. They clean up their mess and haul it all away. They arrive at the appointed time. Our electric bill has gone down, and the entire house is more comfortable. I am as cost conscious as everybody else, but it does not pay to “cheap out” on your heat and air. It costs more money in the long run and it is not pleasant to be without AC in the heat of summer nor heat when it is cold outside. Also, in some instances, you can even cause serious damage to your home. In my case, the prolonged sweating of an oversized condenser could have caused wood rot and mold. I give them my highest recommendation! Update 07/23/20. Rodents chewed up a 10 foot section of our duct work in the attic. Condensation was leaking out of the bathroom vent. Bear came out, identified the issue, and had the repair made in an extremely short time. We are placing a bait station in the attic to prevent further rodent issues. Heat or AC problems?? CALL THE BEAR!

Call 2 time talk to the answering service I asked him if they ever contacted the AC company and they said yes we have reached out to him all ready he should have call you already then I call them again still three hours later that haven’t contact me that not a Sevice company I am owner of a service company and as soon a customer call we respond less than 10 minutes to the phone call and on site with 2 hrs I would not use this AC company very poor customer service and they don’t call customer back

Our AC went out July 3rd and Bear AC was the only company around willing to come out the day before a holiday.
