Hartmann AC and Heat LLC

Hartman ac installed a new unit 2 ton . It was a brand new house. the ducts were all screwed up. they never came out and fixed the problem after reporting to them while the work was still under warranty. I glad they are out of buisness!! Be careful they may resurface under an other name.

To sum up my frustration - Zach Hartmann and his staff do not respond and do NOT keep to their word. Out of good faith and trying to be a good customer, I put down a 1500.00 deposit in the beginning of this process. We went two weeks with our A/C not working properly and Hartmanns not fulfilling what they said they would. After numerous phone calls, numerous broken promises and one walk-in to their office location, my husband called another A/C company. The other company came out the SAME DAY and they replaced the entire condenser in under two hours and at a much lower cost. Now... still waiting on my refund from Hartmanns... of course, no response.... a lawyer has been contacted. I have an electric bill that is 3 times the norm because of their neglect. So infuriating. I just dont understand or comprehend how a company can be so unprofessional and neglectful to a customer. Just be honest and open with us about the situation - if you cant do it, dont lie to us. Dont tell me that youll refund me, then not contact me for over a week. I just called AGAIN and AGAIN they tell me that they dont have a status on my refund. Just ridiculous.

I used Hartman in 2019 to install a 3 ton unit downstairs and everything was fine. I called them last week to come out and see why my upstairs unit wasn’t working and was told I needed a new unit. They were supposed to email an estimate to me with options but never contacted me. Icalled three times asking them to email an estimate to me because I was prepared to purchase right away. After a week went by I called Furman A/C and they were out the same day and installed a new unit the next day. I still haven’t heard back from Hartmann. I assume they don’t need the business.Update: 03/30/2023Hartman sold me the Trane unit mentioned above and in the hottest months when the unit was running all the time, water started leaking from the attic through the floor and into my bedroom. It turns out they sold me a unit that did not work with the existing ductwork. They replaced the attic portion of the unit but what I had was a high pressure Unico A/C and they did not replace it with the same. Condensation built up in the ductwork and caused a lot of damage to the ceiling in my bedroom. Now I have to replace the attic portion of the system with a high pressure unit which will cost me around $12,000. They are either incompetent or dishonest, maybe both but I would not recommend them. I will be using AirMart out of Houston to correct Hartman’s shoddy work.

We called to report our heater out, and they had someone out in a few hours. Turned out to be something simple. They had it working in no time and even refused to take any payment. Honest, fast, and quality service is hard to find these days. I will recommend Hartmann A/C and Heating to everyone i know in the future. Thanks guys for restoring my faith in humanity. :)

Hartmann was recommended to me by a friend who had a Generac generator installed by him. I contacted him for the same service and Zach Hartmann came to my home, looked around and gave me a quote. I accepted and the generator was installed. All of that was done, and I was pleased with the friendly attitude and what I thought was a professional job. The generator has worked beautifully when it was needed. I contacted Hartmanns to schedule a maintenance service on the generator after it was used where it ran for a long time. I must have called at least 20 times trying to schedule the service, but I was always told that someone would call me back with a date they could come out, and that call back never happened. I ended up getting another company to come out and service my generator. Today I had an electrician come to my house because I have been having some electrical issues. While in my attic he saw where the electrical for the generator was run, and he came to tell me the way it was done was not up to code, and it was dangerous. The electrician tried to call to speak to someone at Hartmanns, and they took his number and told him that they would have Zach Hartmann call him. Well we know that will never happen. Im not sure what my options are, but I can tell you right now that Hartmanns does not stand behind their work, and there is absolutely no service after the sale.

Probably the BEST Sales/Service experience that I have had in YEARS !! They installed a GENERAC system in my home for me. They were ALWAYS on schedule and performed the installation in a very timely and professional manner. When finished the work area was cleaned up without any remnants left behind ALL at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price than any of the competitors. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would have to give them a rating of NO LESS than 17 !! A TRUE pleasure to do business with. Would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE needing AQNY of the services they provide !!

I’ve been using Hartman for several years now. Every time I call they have someone out there in a short time. The quality of work far surpasses the price. Noting is done halfway. It’s done to last and not once have they tried to sell me something that wasn’t needed.One of the other big things for me is that my wife feels completely comfortable with his employees in the house when I am not there.

After the winter storm Zach Hartmann met me to quote my home for a Generac Generator Installation; who came pretty highly recommended. Nick Hartmann came out and did the install; I was super impressed by the customer service, knowledge and great housekeeping. I highly recommended Hartmann AC & Heating to several people. Hurricane Nicholas triggered the generator to power on & run for 3 days when I notice strong gas odor & oil escaping. I reached out to Zack & his company made an appointment. Zack said he would be out himself as he had released quiet a few employees. Zack never showed up after rescheduling, would not return calls or texts. I reached out to Generac to find another authorized service provider but Generac wanted first to deal with Hartmann since they did the install & represent Generac. They were told that Hartmann would call me in 5 minutes, to never call. I have been trying to get Hartmann since 9-15-21 to no avail. Generac referred me to Turnkey Electric in Clute, TX who came out immediately to assist. So yeah Hartmann AC & Heating isnt a company I would ever recommend not Zack Hartmann.

Hartmann sent a service tech to my home a few years ago for some work. The tech broke the outside temperature sensor and never returned to replace it. Even after several calls no one ever came back to fix the sensor. A lady called me over a year later to offer their yearly preventive maintenance service and when I asked her about never following up on the sensor; she called me rude and hung up on me. Even if she did feel I was rude; it was very unprofessional to call me that and hang up on me. I wasnt rude. I was just stating a fact. Now my AC is out again and Im looking for another company.

Friendly and helpful while setting up the service on my AC unit. The technician arrived on-time, with the correct parts, completed the repair quickly and inexpensively. I had a great experience with Hartmann.

They gave a date for installing my A/C and failed to show on that day. Its took three days before they did showed. Then they failed to have all the necessary equipment for installation. Stating that they needed to leave and would return later that day to finish the job.That was a LIE. Four days later, after calling and calling for them to the job they started, they set another date and failed to return and finish the job again. I had to visit the office and demand for them to finish. The boss LIED and said he would send someone that evening and failed to do so. The following morning they finally showed with a b.s. excuse and finished. Not the best. I dont recommend them.

Hartman A/C is top notch. Always available to repair problems that had occurred with my older units. Great service, great prices. Hartmann has even gone out of their way and arrived on site to help me with a friends Unit. When it came time for me to replace my old ACs, Hartmann had the lowest quote on some great Trane units. (SEER 17s) The crew was awesome and professional. The job was done on time with no issues. Thanks Hartmann!

I normally don’t do online reviews, but I felt like Hartmann A/C and Heat deserved a good quality review for the work that they did for me in 2014. They were very prompt, clean, & professional when they replaced my entire A/C system and re-insulated my attic. Hartmann also recommended that I go with the Trane A/C system which I’m glad that I did (working great ever since). I would highly recommend Hartmann A/C and Heat to everyone.

Been waiting for a simple estimate for 17 days! A man came and walked through my home, checked out the system on October 18th. It is now November 4th, getting cold (we have no heater) and NOTHING! We have called multiple times since Monday trying to get a simple quote so work can be started! Was told we’d have it by Tuesday. No such thing happened. Called again today (Thursday), was “promised” I’d have the estimate by this evening. And guess what, nothing. Doesn’t bode well for a trusting business relationship in the future. Definitely not a good first impression. If it takes a solid month just to get an estimate, I wonder how long it would take complete the job and what kind of issues would arise as soon as work is actually started….

Hartmann AC and Heat recently installed an XV18 system with zoning and we could not be happier! Thank you Zach for figuring out what our house needed in order for everyone to be comfortable in different areas. Real professional crew including the office staff. They were very friendly and responsive.

Price gouged. Charged 1.7% mark up on parts!!! Even with a maintenance agreement with them that states a 15% discount on parts!!! 500$ motor cost me 900$.The quality was ok but they asked for cash for the partsDon’t get shafted like we did

Very responsive, reliable company! Tylor called me back super fast and was at my house fixing the problem first thing the next morning. He was punctual, knowledgeable and really respectful in my home during the pandemic. He wore a mask and I appreciate that. And he wore shoe covers at my request, I really appreciate him. Very prompt, professional, and quality installation. Time was taken to explain all the different options todays systems offer with no pressure during the selection process. The new Trane system was expertly installed and commissioned. (The new Trane system replaced a 22 year old Trane A/C, furnace, and air duct system.) We expect years of reliable service from the expertly installed system. Zach (owner), and Steve (service technician) made sure we were satisfied and fully informed of the new system. All system replacement and commissioning expectations were met and exceeded. We are very pleased with the system and the business.

Saturday May 25, 2019 Memorial Day weekend, My family woke up with our upstairs AC not working. Being a holiday weekend, I didn’t even bother trying to find a repair person on such short notice so I resided myself to just crank up the downstairs AC and make the best of it.Sunday May 26, 2019 my family was enjoying an afternoon with friends and family in our pool when the downstairs AC goes out as well. Texas heat sets in. It quickly swells to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Understanding that we cannot sleep comfortably in these conditions I make some calls. Hartmann AC is the only one that answered the bell that evening at 6 PM on a Sunday holiday weekend. Repair man was there by 7:30, worked till 10 pm and had not only 1, but both ACs, upstairs and downstairs working. Unbelievable if I hadn’t seen it myself. They will forever have our business and am truly grateful for the prompt and professional service on a hot Texas holiday weekend.

Unbelievable incompetence. We had an actively leaking AC unit destroying the bathroom and the receptionist couldnt even get in touch with a technician for a week. I think theyre only interested in the work if you have to replace your unit.

Hartmann A/C has to be the best in town. Excellent customer, reliable, and I trust them. And I have been ripped off by several others in our area. I will always reccomend Harrmann first.

I was very impressed with all of the employees that I dealt with at Hartmanns A/C and Heating .First the receptionist Amanda and Tiffanymade me feel like I was family , Zack came by after a long day of work and explained how my Generac would be installed and that a concretepad would be poured 12 thick (That really impressed me ) .We set up the install date , and bright and early on the install day Nick and Darynstarted working on installing the transfer box ,rewiring the incomingpower supply after Texas New mexico came by and cut the power . I was really impressed with how Nick explained every step with Daryn and how they both checked each others work and confirmed it was correct.I watched the whole time they were doing the install and it really madefeel safe knowing that they were double checking that the wire lugs weretight and that everything looked professional .
