Richard was kind enough to come out in the evening on a weekend when our AC stopped cooling. We had many issues with the previous company that we used, so I was so grateful to find a company that is honest, affordable, and reliable. Richard was able to repair our AC on the spot with parts he had on him. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and worked quickly to resolve the issue. I will be using this company for all of our HVAC needs from now on!

I just cant say enough about how wonderful this company is. I called on a Saturday morning at 745am expecting a call back on Monday. By 830 am I had received a call back and had a technician scheduled to come to my house at 2 pm on a Saturday, the same day. This is my second time to use them. And I would highly recommend their services.

We have used them before with good results however we were ripped off this time. Our parts for the repairs were covered by the warranty so they could not make a profit on them. We were told the labor would be $160 per hour. We paid that for the initial visit.When it was repaired the technician was there one hour and thirty minutes. We were charged $85 for processing the warranty and $752.50 for labor, which is $500 per hour ! When I questioned that and told them the average hourly labor in Austin was $150-175 hourly I was told they are a smaller company and we needed to help cover their rent, utilities, truck payments and gasoline. I disagreed and he said ‘it is what it is”I guess that’s what happens when trying to support a smaller local business, from now on I will use a larger more customer oriented company.

Mustafa was a great help! Along with Richard and Craig, they replaced parts of my hvac unit and now it works as its supposed to! They arrived on time and made sure they were leaving the place clean.

Want an amazing company! Fast service, quality technicians, and very reasonable pricing. Would not trust another company for my HVAC needs!

Dr.HVAC is a 5 star organization. They are very responsive, knowledgeable and thorough. I called about an issue today and they were on site within 30 min. They did not quit until the problem was resolved. I am very grateful and have and would recommend them to my family and friends.

Isaac performed PM services for the cooling system on two units on March 26, 2024 in preparation for the upcoming summer. He is very polite and checks everthing thoroughly. I first called Dr HVAC when my ac was out everyone said 1-2 days. David and Richard came out and fixed my unit. They were at the house until about 11:00pm and cooled us down. This was in the beginning of their business years ago. As they have grown their business they still offer the same quality and professional service that I have grown to trust.Not many businesses around with their integrity.I tell them the three most important people in my life Dr HVAC, my well guy and my cardiologist.

Our AC unit was not working and of course it was when it was over 90 degrees. I called DR HVAC after work and Richard was able to come out first thing the next morning. He was prompt, professional and diagnosed the problem quickly! He called his parts distributor who had the sensor in stock(bonus) and was able to install it and get my AC unit working! After several years of dealing with AC/HEAT Specialists that could not fix my system I decided to try Richard and crew at DR HVAC Services. These guys are remarkable as my system is running the way it was designed to for the first time 10 plus years. Their prices are very competitve, and Richard takes the time to explain his work. DR HVAC is exactly what you want in a local business: every single employee is kind and hardworking, they shoot you straight, and they do quality work every time. Im so glad we had them install our new A/C last year and we will continue to use them for maintenance as long as we live here in Austin.

Richard showed up early and was professional, showed intetest in helping me save money. He fixed my heater problem and the invoice was surprisingly low.I willuse them again

Don is awesome! He installed our new system last year and either himself or one of his crew came out almost daily for almost a week to keep our old system working until the new one came in. I had an issue this year with the thermostat turning off (sensor was tripped because we didn’t maintain the drain line). Don helped me troubleshoot the issue and came out super promptly the next day for a maintenance call. He’s so kind and helpful! Thanks Don!

Craig at DR HVAC is the absolute best. We are first time home owners and we had a leak, which another ac company said was the ac drain line that had a crack. The other AC company gave us a quote for $1500 and wasnt even sure if that would solve our leak problem! Craig came out and helped us diganosis that it wasnt the ac drain at all but was a plumbing issue and helped us find the leak. I even got a quote from Craig for the ac condensate line replacement and it was $1000 CHEAPER than the other company!! Craig is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He has won a customer for life and DR HVAC will be the only AC company I use in the future. If youre looking for the absolute best AC company in Austin, Cedar Park, + Leander Texas, DR HVAC is it.

David came over on a Saturday within an hour. Found and fixed my heater issue (My house was freezing). Was a bad igniter. Gave me a great deal and was a pleasure to deal with. Will absolutely be using him again in the future!Additional Update: My HVAC blower motor was on the fritz during an exceptionally hot August. Richard swung by the next day, and looking at my 22 year old, poorly maintained (by the previous homeowner) HVAC, suggested to replace the whole unit since at this point, it was throwing good money after bad.He and his crew were out the very next day at 8am and I had a brand new Seer14 HVAC for a very fair price by 2pm that day. They also did work to run better insulation and wiring than the previous install. It looks top notch. Their techs are incredibly skilled and fast. Everything looks very professionally installed. They also brought my gas lines nearby up to code.Highly, highly recommend these guys!

March 2019: We have a two story older home that only had one thermostat. We contacted several HVAC companies and most said that they couldnt do it or wanted to change us an arm and leg! Richard and David gave us a VERY fair estimate and explained how the whole process worked.May 2020: Our AC wouldnt turn off and I emailed Richard and he was able to come out the next afternoon and take a look for me...DR HVAC is my go-to HVAC company and I will be referring them to my clients and friends!!!

Richard came out same day of request. He quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to replace the bad part immediately. We haven’t had a lot done to our AC in 10 years and Richard helped us make some maintenance decisions to extend the life of our unit. So grateful for his patience, integrity and attention. to detail. Good guy and we will highly recommend him!

I Paid 411$ to fix my AC . And after 2 hours it shuted down again . I called them to come back to fix it and they said they will charge me for diagnostic charges which will take 3-4 hours and than will fix it for which will charge me again by hour which is $115

As bad luck would have it, we had our furnace quit during the storm of the century. A national company came out, diagnosed the problem and said it would require parts that are not readily available (20 yr. old system). They were happy to quote a whole new system for me but due to time and money, that didn’t seem like an option. Dave with DR HVAC came out (late on a Saturday) for a second opinion and confirmed the part was indeed bad but he was able to bypass it and get our heat going again. That was a lifesaver. Thanks Dave for your help in getting us going again. Your knowledge, honesty, and commitment are appreciated. It’s reassuring to know I now have a “go to” HVAC company that I can count on when needed.

This Texas heat can be brutal once it hits 90+ degrees and your AC unit goes out, youll do just about anything to get it up and running again. Dr. HVAC sent out David (a technician with decades of experience and also a co-owner of the company) the SAME DAY to take a look at my unit. Boy, were we fortunate for such a quick and friendly response to our problem! Ive also had the pleasure to speak with Richard, also a co-owner of the company.While I dread the thought of my AC unit requiring service again, I look forward to the opportunity to work with Dr. HVAC Services again.

I had Richard out from DR to replace a 15 year old a/c unit in May. I cant speak highly enough about his honesty and work ethic. He was never late, always with solid estimates and hasnt been wrong diagnosing problems, encouraging me to target replace only bad stuff when other companies wanted me to spend thousands on a new system.I figured Id wait to make sure there werent creeping problems before giving him a review. Richard is totally awesome. Has fixed a couple of AC issues for me over the years and also takes care of my HVAC maintenance for me. A really honest guy who does a great job. He’s also super friendly and courteous. Cannot recommend him enough.

Twice now, my husband and I have callled this company on a Friday evening (our AC likes to break on Fridays), and they have come right out, even after dark, to troubleshoot and fix the problem. First time, the motor was broken, but under warranty and Dr. HVAC had the new one back and installed asap. Second time was a minor issue, flooding in the line, and they fixed it quickly and took the time to explain the problem so that we can avoid a repeat of the same next summer. They are very responsive, friendly and honest. Its refreshing to call a company and talk directly to the owners, they know their stuff and care about the customer, and there is no runaround. I cant recommend them enough.

These guys were awesome. Saved us lots of money on our repair by finding a way to warranty a part that no other company could. They didnt have to do it, but they did. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing HVAC service or repair.

After feeling I was getting swindled by a previous AC company, I called Dr. HVAC for a second opinion. They were able to see me on the same say! The technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. I was impressed with the lengths he went to in order to get the problem solved. He solved the problem and saved me from spending the $3000 the other company was trying to charge me! Im so impressed-- honesty and integrity. Thats what youll find by using them.

First off, our outside unit was making a terrible noise and I called late in the evening and someone answered and was at our home within the half hour. Our technician Richard was very quick and knowledgeable. He took one look at it and knew what the issue was almost immediately. He explained everything in full detail and said what it is that could happen and what needed to happen in order for our a.c. to be up and running again.The main thing I want to point out here is even though he mentioned the advantages of getting a new system, in no way shape or form did he push us to do something we didnt want to do. He simply laid out ALL the options available and educated me on the pros and cons of each.After we decided on what was right for us, he took the parts so it would help identify what he needed and came back the next evening. The job was done in less then 30 mins.I can tell Richard has ethics and works exceptionally hard. I am glad there is a company that still practices this. They are even willing to work with you on financing your payments if you dont have the budget for your repairs or install.Hands down best experience I have had with a company like this. Strongly recommended.

Richard came out and fixed my AC on a Sunday, which was a major relief. He was quick, polite, professional, and fun to talk to - and he made sure the heat worked too, because this is Texas and we need both in the winter. He didnt mind me following around asking questions, and I learned a lot about how air conditioning works, which will be helpful in making sure I dont kill it again. Thanks!

I really have nothing to complain about. They were quick with a response. He was professional, and knowledgeable.He found the problem in a very short amount of time, and best of all, he gave me the knowledge that I need going forward as a homeowner. That’s worth every penny to me. It’s the only place I will call now if I need anything. So if you’re nervous about calling an AC repair company, don’t be. Just call them.

Richard is knowledgeable, trustworthy , responsive, polite , and very good at what he does. We had him come out for a clogged drain that was causing the overflow pan to drip. He gave us suggestions on how to prevent future issues and took care of what we needed above and beyond . We highly recommend Dr HVAC.

Outstanding service. David came out on a Sunday diagnosed the problem and after telling us it might take a few days to get the part, went back to the office and brought back a portable A/C that was a lifesaver in this Texas heat. I would highly recommend David and DR HVAC.

I first called on a Saturday and Richard was there in no time and fixed the problem in no time.... then something else went wrong and he returned and checked my whole system and gave me a lot of AC knowledge on a silly mistake on my end with closed vents, and fixed the problem immediately once again. I then asked him what do I owe him and his response was I’m not here to nickel and dime you..... that was such a kind jesture he could have charged me an arm and a leg for something so simple with a mistake on my behalf, but he didn’t.... thank you so much for being such a ginuine company...Will recommend to any of my friends and family!!!!

Great HVAC company these guys really know what they are doing. They are very personal and shoot you straight. They answered all my questions and explained everything in terms I could understand. In fact I was so impressed they take care of the HVAC at my business as well.

Was referred to Dr. HVAC, needed to replace a 21 year old AC system. Got 4 different estimates from 4 different companies. When I looked at the estimate from Dr HVAC I was shocked and started to laugh..There bid was 22,100.00. I couldnt believe it the next closest bid to them was 5,700.00 for the same work. Thats more then 3 times the amount of the next highest bid. I know were all hurting for work because of covid but this is price gouging at its worst. If they didnt want to do the job they should have just said so. I give them 1 star because I had to select that to write the review.Be careful with companies taking advantage of others during this time of hardship for so many.

Horrible customer service. Marge at the front is useless it seems. No courtesy call before showing up. Called to get in touch with owners only for that message not to be handed off to them. The service tech that they sent out without notification was kind and that’s why you get one star. I would use extreme caution using this business if you expect to have clear communication and just an overall quality service. I’d say you could do better but it seems you can’t

Richard and David came out on a Sunday evening. They quickly discovered a bad capacitor and fortunately had the part in the truck. Quick, fast, and very affordable.
