Bottom line? Cant recommend these guys enough. 11/10.Full version: I own a rather niche vehicle (Ariel Atom), and by mere chance I stumbled across this shop. I had a smaller issue (alignment) several weeks ago, I called them up and met Terry (the manager) & Justin (the tech wiz) and had a very good vibe: old-school type of customer experience, people who genuinely care and take pride in their business.Fast forward and a non trivial issue occurred, people referred me to various speciality shops but I opted to go with my gut and speak with Terry and Justin. Both of them went above and beyond, researching, sourcing parts, spending extra time and working diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for me.Given the nature of this vehicle, they couldnt quote me for the work upfront, so I had to authorize an open-ended by the hour type of engagement, which is something rather scary in the automotive industry because whos to say how much time anything takes? Again, went with my gut and authorized.A week later the issue got completely resolved and took less time than we had originally anticipated. They have been super transparent throughout, and actually resolved a couple of issues i wasnt aware of while working on it as well.I have full confidence in these guys and will divert all of my automotive business their way, not just the silly little race car. If youre concerned about your ride, check them out - professional, honest, caring - the whole nine yards!

Our truck won’t start so I called Kwik Kar and was able to get it in that morning. They walked me through the possibilities and what to expect from our warranty company. I will definitely be dealing with them again in need be. I highly recommend you give them a try.

I cannot recommend this location and its excellent staff enough! I ended up trying this place out after having an absolutely horrific experience with another mechanic (STAY AWAY from the Midas on Lake Creek Pkwy, seriously!), and when my old car was having the latest of its many issues, a transmission issue, I took it in to get a diagnostic.Terry gave me a call to inform me that not only would the cost of a transmission repair on such an aging car NOT be worthwhile, he would not even provide me a quote on it due to his own code of mechanic’s ethics. Beyond that, he waived my diagnostic fee entirely, gave me terrific advice on how to sell an old car and shop for a new one in the area, and then even offered me a used car inspection on my new vehicle on the house!I’m here now getting that done through the help of Jeff, and I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience with my maintenance. Once again, I cannot recommend this location and its employees enough. The levels of expertise, transparency, and integrity here are all absolutely superb. Needless to say, they have earned all my business moving forward!

I stopped by to fill air in my tires and found out that one tire had its side blown. Xavier(not sure if I spelled his name right) helped me from the beginning, providing me with suggestion and solution. He quickly switched with a spare tire and explained steps in detail to easily get it taken care of. It wasnt a big problem, but Xavier went out of his way to make effort in taking care of my problem. He is the best employee you can come across.

Kwik Kar has taken great care of my car maintenance for the past year, which I’ve been completely happy with their service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what my car needed without any pressure. They completed the maintenance quickly and efficiently, and my car feels better than ever! The pricing was fair, and I appreciated their honesty—no surprise fees or unnecessary upsells. I’ll definitely be coming back for all my future maintenance needs. Highly recommend!

The most important thing when I go get any type of services at KWIK KAR is the outsourcing of services from the mechanics there and how they handle it by explaining any issues that they find. There very specific and useful information. I have been a loyal customer to them for more than 5 years. There services is excellent and they get the job done right.

New to the area, took our vehicle to Kwik Kar for some routine maintenance. Got the call you never want to get from an auto repair shop, significant engine damage caused from overheating. Although the news wasn’t ideal, the service and respect we received was. They took the time to thoughtfully explain the situation and what our options were. It’s always tough getting bad news but in my experience, how the news is delivered can make a big difference. Their high service level has earned our business going forward.

Terry at Kwik Kar is the Best! After trouble with the engine of a Ford I bought at Carmax, Terry worked directly with my Ins Co to get me a new refurbished engine, Kwik Kar replaced the engine and so far so good. Cant thank them enough for making this a smooth transition!

John (? Half Filipino young fella) helped us with filling the air of tires for free. Very friendly, patient and nice person. My other car already does maintenance here. Will consider business for this car too.

I pass 14 or more Oil Change places to come out here to Lakeline Blvd.I am 50 years old and been doing this deal for decades…these guys are just a level up or 3 when it comes to customer service and shooting you straight.Highly recommend. Very pleasant experience every time.(And they are open on Sundays)

These guys are awesome and honest. This is my go to shop when I don’t have time to repair my vehicle, Terry is especially knowledgeable and very easy to work with. 5 stars all around.

Although the faces have changed over the 11 years I have been going to Kwik Kar, the service has consistently been friendly and good. Part of the oil change service is inspection of filters, recommendations for replacements and tire pressure checks. This is a great neighborhood garage. Thanks guys

Too expensive. Was told there were issues with my car but no one available to diagnose or give an estimate. Tried to make follow up appointment but was told no one knew when someone would be available. Front Desk personnel were professional but if mechanical work needs to be performed, staff should have a schedule.

I just had some work performed on my Jeep Rubicon and was surprised to find that the dealer didn’t do oil changes. As I was driving home I saw Kwik Kar and did a quick check on their reviews and pulled on in. They took care of the oil change in less than 10 minutes. Very happy with the experience.

Went it at lunch time to have my oil changed, they said they were out until 2 so I left my car and walked to lunch got back at 2:05 and my car was done. One of the technician hadn’t left yet so he did my car and it was ready before it was even scheduled to start… Amazing customer service.

I went to Kwik Car for an oil change and to check if my brakes needed replacing. They told me I had a lot of life left on my brakes! I was shocked at their honesty and they didn’t try to sell me anything! So I went back, as a couple of weeks ago, my air conditioning stopped working. I called around and their price was the best to replace my compressor abd their service was excellent! Then, just my luck, I was flashed by an officer the other evening! I brought my Kia into Kwik car for service and instead of trying to sell me a higher priced light kit, they helped me order a less expensive one and once I received it, they charged a fair service charge to replace the light. They are an honest business and they try to help you the best they can. I would highly recommend Kwik Car on Lakeline!

Open on a Sunday?! I Jan to get my daughter’s car inspected last minute & Kwik Kar was not only open but also super efficient. I was quoted 20-30 minutes for the service & it was pretty close to 20 when done. Everybody was very professional & working in a timely manner. I really appreciate not having my time wasted. Definitely recommend Kwik Kar at this location.

Ive been bringing my cars to Kwik Kar for years. I used to be a mechanic but I dont enjoy getting my hands greasy these days so I can spot a shady mechanic a mile away and these guys have always been friendly dependable and most importantly honest. They have always offered a fair price for great work with quick turnaround. If you need car work done, look no further than Kwik Kar.

Absolute worst. Been there 4 times and every time Ive gone they have an excuse. Technicians are at lunch, their inspection machine isnt working, theyre short-staffed and cant get to me (for an oil change), come back tomorrow morning. Today, I tried to drop it off and once again, they wont take it because everyone is at lunch (at 1:30 pm?) but come back in an hour and well get you in within 20 to 30 minutes. I go back in an hour and once again, we have 6 cars ahead of you and we only have 2 employees so we cant get to you. Dont waste your time, this place is a joke. Never again!

Extremely slow. 1 hr 30 min for oil change and fuel filter change. That was the time when vehicle was pulled in. No other vehicles in any stalls

Kwik Kar Auto was able to offer feasible explanations as to the cause of the issue, a fair price for repair, and Kwik Kar tries their best to use certified parts whenever possible or plausible, unless there is a marked advantage to using the aftermarket part. Not many shops offer open, matter-of-fact communication to the customer. It is a well-run local business.

Due to a nationwide hack of dealership systems, my reservation was on my phone but not their system. Ryan got my car in and completed in about 1 hour. Very pleased.

Went in for an oil change today, great customer service. I also got my inspection done recently at this location as well, wait is never to long. I normally deal with Eric, he is always respectful and kind to me and anyone else who comes through the doors. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about cars.

Came in for an oil change at the end of the day. Was greeted with a smile by Eric although I’m sure he was ready to go home. I waited there while other customers called and picked up their cars. Each customer had numerous questions and Eric was friendly and patient with each one and thoroughly answered all of their questions in the most respectful manner. You don’t see friendly and good customer service much these days. Eric delivered!

Its hard to find a mechanic you can actually trust. I dont know as much as Id like about cars, but these guys can break it down and make someone like me understand everything. I also really appreciate how truthful they are - when something isnt worth fixing/when they know it can be done cheaper/faster somewhere else, theyre not afraid to tell you.

I had my car brought in recently to have some work done on my wheels and Assistant Manager Eric was super helpful and providing me the right information I needed. My car was repaired in less than 24 hours! Very glad I took my car here and will do so again in the future.

Ive been changing my own brakes for 35yrs, I have 5 kids and change their brakes. However, I ran into a scheduling issue and wanted someone else to do it, so I stopped by Kwik Kar to get an estimate. Mindful I expected a markup, but the estimate I got for rear brake pads was extraordinary. When I asked for a breakdown, the the lady tried to explain to me that they change the pads and rotors every time because its the only safe thing to do! How many people are duped into unnecessary costs to change parts that if they are doing regular maintenance should not happen! Im new to the area, and as I get older I dont have as much time to turn wrenches. I was looking for a local business to take all my cars to... this place is definitely not making the list. I hope others are getting second opinions.

Went in for a state inspection. The manger or office clerk was beyond friendly and helped answered all questions I had. There were a few people ahead of me but was in and out within 40ish minutes. Nice clean seating area and not overly busy for a Monday. I will be back for any of my car needs.

Waited almost 3 hours for a oil change and inspection when I was quoted an hour and 30 minutes. It appears they damaged and broke the oil drain plug and had to replace it, and went to the store and bought a new one to try to cover their tracks. Blamed it on the previous oil change, but it was also done by a Kwik Kar, so they quickly changed the subject. No one kept me informed of what was really going on, or really seemed in a hurry to fix the problem they caused. They mentioned they have new people but its still not an excuse to not own up to your mistakes and work quickly to remediate the mistake. Someone offered an apology for the wait and a $25 discount, which feels more like an insult considering how long I waited. Wont be going here again.Update 9/12: So it seems the person responding to the reviews is a liar and will say anything to save face.1. I witnessed the tech struggle to remove it and strip the oil plug, regardless of how tight it was, if done properly, it could have been removed without destroying it. So thats your fault.2. You caused the damage! So yes, you should replace it at NO COST. You dont get credit for that.3. The information provided during the interaction was very limited, and you only gave details that didnt make you look bad until nearly 2 and a half hours later when you finally mentioned about the drain plug, so no, that doesnt count as keeping me informed throughout the process with updates when the majority of the time I had no knowledge about what was going on.Again, the timeline was ridiculous to do these things, almost 3 hours? Not acceptable.Its clear with your defensive response, instead of owing up to the problem, is evident that my 1 star review is accurate. DO NOT GO HERE or you vehicle may end up damaged.

Ive taken my vehicle here for an oil change before. They handled that fine and finished in good time. More recently my car battery died, so I called up asking if they could squeeze me in an hour before closing. I had been busy that day and didnt have much of a choice. The manager promised he would have me out before closing and he made good on that claim, thank you Corvin! After both experiences Im happy to recommend this business, and probably visit them again sometime!

Quick, efficient and courteous. Took my car in for oil change and state inspection. I left the car there and went home, although I could’ve waited in their nice waiting area also or walked over to the SummerMoon or other nearby businesses. Car was ready within 90 minutes and they called to let me know. Price was fair and I even got a $10 discount for making me wait (his words) while the service specialist figured out how to get the computer system to issue my bill and pay. This was my first time there but I will be going back for this and the other auto services they offer.

I took my car here a couple months ago because my AC started blowing cool, not cold in the middle of summer. The manager Terry told me that my compressor was going out and it would cost me around $1200. I paid it and dropped my car off for a day (Ubered home and back to get my car) after I picked my car up, my visor was broke and now my AC was intermittently blowing warm air which was worse than before dropping it off. I called and went back and fourth with the manager, he offered for me to bring it back in which I did and paid another couple Uber fees plus spent another day without a vehicle. Apparently they then replaced a whole bunch of other parts “on the house”. I pick up my car and now it’s blowing HOT air intermittently. I am now getting pissed because this is a giant hassle I’m dealing with. Terry kept insisting my AC WAS FINE EVEN JNOW IT WAS LITERALLY like the heater was on when the AC was supposed to be on. Finally, after spending weeks in a heat death trap of a car trying to line up the master mechanic working, me being off work and the car doing its heat trap, Terry offered me $150 to get a rental car and to drop the car off for a few days and assured he would do whatever it took to get it fixed. My rental car cost me $240 and $60 in Uber fees. I go pick my car up 3 days later and AC is still not working. I’m now pissed and want my money back and my old AC since it worked better prior to my car coming here. He said all sales are final and I could just continue playing this “drop off car and them not fix it” game but won’t refund my money so I can go somewhere actually capable of fixing an AC. Total scam and unprofessional manager. Rude and clearly shady business DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED and have the manager gaslight you.

I am a customer since 2018. The service is the best.

First and last time I will attempt to use this location. Scheduled an appointment the day before for an OIL CHANGE. Called to confirm the appointment and pricing. Show up and verbally tell the guy I NEED AN OIL CHANGE. He asks for my insurance? A little thrown off but I’ve never used them so I provide insurance. I’m told 15-20 minutes, okay that makes sense for an oil change. Then I’m told my car is ready and the total is $18 and some change. My registration and inspection were just renewed in may of 2022. Therefore my sticker shows valid until 05/23. I told him that’s not the price for an oil change. Then he says “didn’t you give me insurance?” Yes bc you asked for it. Why would I get an inspection after it was done 3 months ago?? Then says they could change the oil if I can wait 30 minutes. What’s the point of an appointment or verbally telling you I need an oil change if that’s not what I’m going to receive?? Dumbfounded on how this was even possible.

Manager and staff here are excellent. Our contact number was typo’d when we dropped the car off, and Corbin actually came out to our address to let us know we could pick the car up. They couldn’t contact us and wanted to get us the vehicle back quickly. Actual repair cost less in parts/labor than quoted so we got a lower bill, I really appreciated the honesty. Will definitely bring vehicles here for service and repair now.

I always receive excellent customer service every time I come here. I have been scammed before at oil change places and have not gotten scammed or made feel uncomfortable. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

They have competitive pricing, good service, and usually things get done pretty fast. We usually get synthetic oil changes done regularly here. They have coupons that come to us in the mail so it is always nice to use those.They have a nice lobby to sit in while you wait and have complimentary bottled water and coffee.Their restroom is clean and the general feel of the place is really nice and clean, too.Always ask to see if they have any specials or discounts!!

Terrible experience. I went and they replaced my battery. I drove home about 1/2 mile and car was fine. I left home about 2 hours laters and was turning right and my car went completely died! I waited a minute and got it started again. All the way home it was dying. I made it home and opened the hood and sure enough one of the bolts was not tightened AT ALL. It was sparking trying to make contact. I took the car back in the next day the same guy that put the battery in checked it and said “everything is tight and everything was tight yesterday” Nope it was not tightened yesterday! The manager was “ too busy “ to come talk to me!! Will never return!!!

I appreciate the first class service. I was traveling by myself back out of town and found this location with zero oil left in car. Eric was very nice to get my car serviced in timely manner so I could back on road safely.

I took my car for a state inspection, having submitted an appointment request online the night before (Im not sure if it made much of a difference in the long run). I arrived about 15 minutes early, but the gentleman behind the counter took my car keys and said they would get my car done (not really giving me a time frame). I guess it was my lucky day because they brought my vehicle into the bay almost immediately and had it out of there in less than 30 minutes (barely enough time to finish the coffee they provided). I was thoroughly impressed because, like many past visits to a vehicle maintenance facility, I was expecting to be there for a considerable amount of time. I guess because of the weather no one wanted to get their car serviced. My only slight gripe was that the gentleman behind the counter seemed to be about as happy to be there as someone going in for a colonoscopy; but seeing that it was a Monday it can be forgiven. All in all, I am glad I brought my car to Kwik Kar and will use it for all future inspections.

They are nice.Have done state inspection for two vehicles.Had to replace tail light cover, I ordered online and they replaced for nominal price.Another vehicle, had to replace wiper blades, it’s also nominal price.Note: Don’t schedule appointment online, the website is not correct, call them and check wait time.

I have been using this location for over two years and have been very pleased with the entire experience. Brian, the manager, is one of the most honest individuals I’ve come across in the automotive industry. I worked at a similar business for several years, and up-selling was our bread-and-butter. My experience at that job has always made me overly cautious using shops on my own vehicles.In my experience, Brian has always been accommodating and is never pushy with any of the services. I do most of my own work, but still give them a call if something is beyond my capabilities or on a time crunch. Regardless, they have never tried to up-sell anything and are always honest in their evaluations and recommendations. This has led to several thousand dollars of work for them and no headaches for me. On the rare occasion that my needs has exceeded their ability (transmission rebuild) Brian was able to recommend another shop, contact them for me the next day, and keep me in the loop. I doubt I’d find another shop that would ever be as helpful.I’d highly recommend them to anyone who might be looking for a reputable shop and will continue to use them as long as I am in the Austin metroplex.

Awesome shop for any auto need, alignment, oil change, and full service repairs. These guys are honest and upfront about their work. We unfortunately had an issue, one time, with an oil change (nothing the mechanics had control over) and they went above and beyond to make things right. I doubt we would have had the same experience at one of those quick/drive-up oil change shops.

First time last time. I selected this place because I thought that if any findings came from the state inspection, I could pay and have them repaired on site. However, they don’t do mechanical work on Saturdays. My total came up to $111. I wasn’t given a printout of services provided. I was told their system was down. I said can you email it next week. They said no, but you can stop by and pick up a copy next week. So now I have to inconvenience myself for your inability to have proper functioning equipment? So I asked if the inspection was 18.50. How much was the oil change. He says $89. Really??? For a four cylinder Hyundai Elantra. He begins to explain to additional cost for over 5 quarts. It’s a Elantra it only holds about 4.2 quarts so what additional charge? In the end. My vehicle was failed (rightfully so), they couldn’t complete the repairs, I was overcharged for an oil change and then wasn’t given a receipt to show proof. They heavy set black guy behind the counter was good and had good interaction with customers. Unfortunately he went on break or something when I was checking out.

These guys have been so great!! They do. Great job, are kind, informative and fair pricing for services.

I typically have exceptional service at Kwik Car but not today — I initially called to speak with someone on setting up an appointment to get my A/C looked at and a man by the name of Brian answered the phone but he was very rude and condescending from the very start of my phone call. He kept cutting me off and he seemed like he very irritated at the fact that I wanted assistance with getting an appointment set up for my car to be looked at. I will no longer be using any services with Kwik Car; Brian’s attitude and lack of customer service was unacceptable. I HOPE and pray that he is not the manager at Kwik Car - Cedar Park because if he is he needs to be educated on what excellent customer service looks and sounds like because TODAY he definitely missed the mark in the customer service area!Update: Brian did eventually reach out to me after this post was made and he apologized sincerely and I just think that he was overwhelmed seeing that he was the only employee up at the front desk handling in person appointments and phone calls which might have been where the disconnect was between him and I. All is well and I do hope that Brian knows that I appreciate his phone call. I hate that I had to be a “Karen” in this situation lol but I’m glad that everything was resolved...

Recently visited for smog check. They are pretty quick, I was out in like 20 mins and rate is also very reasonable. Will consider this shop going forward for any car repairs. Thank you.

Friendly and fast, no complaints from me. I went there last week for new battery and brakes. I was done in less than an hour. The manager, the mechanic.. everyone made my trip to the attend to my car pain free!

These guys are either thieves or incompetent. They installed an incompatible sensor on my truck, and told me I needed to put mid-grade gas instead of regular due to the age of my truck. They also charged my girlfriend for a fuel system cleaning on my truck when she took it back, even though I had just had it done a few weeks prior. I took my truck to Austin Automotive off 183 who said the fuel thing was BS and Kwik Kar had done a very unprofessional job installing and securing the sensor. , They were able to get the issue resolved in a day. I went back to talk to Brian Walker, the manager, who refused to refund me for the part they installed that could have led to my catalytic converter going out, and wouldnt even look at the notes Austin Automotive put on the work order detailing what his shop had done wrong. After trying to plead my case, he said he was done talking to me, to never bring my truck back(why, so you can bumble about like idiots and charge me for things I dont need?), and he was calling the police to force me off the premises. As I walked out, he called me Ford Man and said maybe next time I should get a Chevy or GMC. Dont go here unless you want to make several trips back when another shop could get it done on the first try.Edit: Their reply was only for show. I emailed them politely asking for help, they said give them a few days and they would email me back. Its been weeks and no contact from them. Pretty sure their response was the manager in question, who has no intention of making the situation right.

These guys failed my vehicle safety inspection because tie rod is snapped. This is a quote from the failed inspection form. I jacked up my car in my drive way and looked for myself. The drivers side steering rack boot was leaking. Thats it. There is nothing else wrong with my car. And these morons failed me because of a serious safety issue?? My car is perfectly safe. You guys lost a good customer today. Lie to your customers and you will have no customers. EDIT: Took my car to another shop and it passed inspection with no issues.

I wanted to thank Trey for his excellent customer service. I first came in with a headlight that was out and it required my front bumper to be removed. He was really respectful of my budget and worked to help with the cost. About a month later, the plastic undercarriage of my car tore and was hanging down. I went back to Kwik Kar and Trey and the crew reattached it with for me just to help me out. I appreciate not being taken advantage of which I have found to happen at other places. Thank you for caring about your customers!

Really quick, efficient, and helpful. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about. They really care about their customers. They care much more about people and their cars than they do about making a quick buck. My mom went here for years to take care of her car, and now that it’s mine, I trust them to do the same for me.

I hesitate to assign a rating, based on my experience. So consider this more a warning. Despite the implication from their web site, they only do tire repairs. If you need a new tire, go elsewhere. However, I do concur with the other positive reviews of the staff - very friendly and helpful. They may well do a good job on repairs.

I had this place do a second opinion after my dealership service shop looked into my check engine light and told me a little valve and sensor repair was going to cost me over $800, after charging me over $100 to tell me what was wrong. The Kwik Kar team looked into it for free, and told me that the sensor likely was just being tripped by the valve, and theyd fix the valve first, to make sure that the sensor replacement was necessary. Turns out it was NOT necessary, and I was able to get my car fixed for less than half the price I was quoted from the other shop. Bryan and his team are super friendly, super helpful, and Im glad I found them.

BEWARE!!!! I would never trust these people with another car, even if it broke down right in front of their shop!First visit - Our familys truck needed new brakes, and the cost was about $900. Around a week later, each time the brakes were applied it sounded like metal grinding on metal.Second visit - The truck was taken back, and they made us wait an entire day while they repaired other vehicles, but supposedly they fixed it. A week later you could feel a severe wobble each time the brakes were applied. A friend took a look to see if we could specifically tell them what was wrong, only to discover that this place over torqued the lug nuts making it nearly impossible to even get the tires off.Third visit - We took the truck back to get it fixed again. The manager said he would replace the drums for free to correct the problem. In exchange, he asked that we take down the bad Yelp review.Here we are just a few weeks later, and the brakes started making grinding sounds and smelling like they were burning yet again. Since we will NOT ever be going back to this place again, we went ahead and bought new brake pads and found someone else to install them. Apparently, Kwik Kar charged $900 for very crappy parts that were already breaking down into metal shavings.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!

I have taken my cars to the dealerships, lambs, sunwest, jiff lube etc. These guys can do it all and work with you on pricing, find alternative solutions for parts and give you options.Honest and direct. Windshield wiper replacement. I called, arrived in 5 min, they replaced driver side wiper. They even asked how my day was and opened my car door for me on departure. I was out in 5 minutes. I brought my Lexus in for a tire to be mounted and balanced. Two days later I was driving down I-35 and at about 70mph my car started shaking really bad. I contacted Brian (The Manager) and he said that their balancing machine was down. So I waited two weeks calling them every couple days to ask if their machine was back up and running, and each time they said no. I ended up having to pay again at Firestone to have my tire rebalanced correctly. So I had to drive on a messed up tire for two weeks and ended up having to pay double. This is not my first incident with them, this is just scraping the surface with the many issues I have had with this company. I wouldn’t recommend this terrible customer service to anyone. Save your time and money and go down the street for a shop where they know what their doing.

Went for a state inspection, was told that mechanic will look why the check-engine light is ON and let me know. Today they called and said it’s $135 for diagnostics but did not provide a printed diagnostic repair.The mechanic said there was a gas leak, although smell was coming from a gas can in the car.No printed diagnostic report was provided , no work was done: was verbally told don’t do state inspection as it will not pass.I went to Inspection Express and they just passed the vehicle in 10 mins.At Kwik Kar Lakeline-1. They charged $135 without providing a heads up as to diagnostics fees2. No printed diagnostic report3. They didn’t do State inspection , asking for additional $550 to just do a complete “diagnostics” (whatever that meant)4. Went to next door State Inspection express and they passed the inspection in 10 mins.Used to be a good honest shop, but am appalled (and sad) as to their dishonesty now. Perhaps racist ? Perhaps management changed ? Sad to have lost a car shop which I always liked in the past.

Went this morning to get car inspected for registration. It was a walk-in, overall process is smooth, they just need insurance details. They have multiple certified inspectors, got inspection done within 30mins.

So I just called this shop to get a quote for a thermostat change after diagnosing last night with a neighbor friend who is a master technician from a very reputable dealer with over 20 years experience. This shop told me that they do not do quotes over the phone and clearly didnt want the job which wouldve been a simple one hour in labor for them .The gentleman was rude and made excuses about having to know the make model etc of the vehicle which I clearly explained that I had all the information for them . Sad thing here is I actually had a great experience with a different location in the past which led me to call and give the shop a chance since it was closer to my home. I will be calling the other location .

Awesome people. You can so tell that your safety is their top priority. They do anything they can to help, give advice on things they cant do themselves, and are super efficient! Definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for some work - oil change or huge repairs, theyve done it all for me and never disappoint.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. When I picked up my truck I noticed my tire pressures were the same then it dawned on me that they couldn’t have possibly rotated my tires since I didn’t give them the key to my wheel locks. I explained this to the manager and was refunded the $20 for the service. Further, the fluids weren’t topped off as outlined in the service receipt. The manager was apologetic and conveyed that due to Covid, had been left with unqualified staff.

I received an oil change today, and it was a great experience. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly. They were extremely efficient. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I highly recommend.

These guys are real-down-to-earth folks that have helped me out countless times. Theyve helped me with everything from a brake light switch to a timing belt. Theyre my only choice for mechanics in San Marcos and I dont wanna take any of my troublesome cars to anyone else. Theyve always been fair, and Richards given me the kind of treatment that makes me wanna keep coming back, hes demonstrated that these guys know what theyre doing. If youre a student, my advice is to come here, theyre the best setup for what we need.

A/C Stopped blowing cold air and KwikKar did a recharge as well as dye. It blew cold for a week or so and then stopped, brought it back in and they were able to find the leak and replace the condenser unit. They were quick and professional through out the entire process. Would definitely recommend.

Fast and friendly service with a very clean atmosphere to wait in while they do the work! I must give a shoutout to Brian in the office for being so kind when I went in for an oil change for my new car. I always feel like I have to brace myself for an upsell when coming into these places but that was not my experience here at all. It was under $60 for a full synthetic oil change for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and they were so fast. They have WiFi and coffee in their waiting area that has ample room and a very clean bathroom for customers. I even got a free car wash with my service! Thank you again for such a pleasant experience!!!

Took my Celica for a state inspection and replacing a brake light and they were very nice and got it done fast, were able to get me back in time for work! Price was very good too, just moved to Cedar Park so Ill be back again!

Been taking both my cars here for year. Never had any problems with service. Had a water pump replaced on one car about 3 years ago and never an issue. They are by the book when it comes to inspections so dont expect to be able to have anything wrong and be able to get away with it. My cars pass every year and one car has over 200,000 miles. Will continue to go here for as long as Im in cedar park!

These guys are a joke. Took over an hour to do a simple oil change & inspection when I was the only customer there. Literally no other cars in the garage - should have taken that as a sign. They also had the nerve to fail my inspection just because my window tint was 5% too dark on my side windows. Ive never had a problem at any other inspection and sure enough I went to my regular inspector near work the next day and passed easily like I always do. What a huge waste of time & money. Avoid at all costs! I thought Id give them a chance since I just moved into a house nearby but Ive learned my lesson.

It was my second visit. The day before they told me that they inspection till 5pm and they say it’s first come first serve. I arrived 3pm and they said their inspection guy left earlier. And I asked for any other locations for inspection. He gave again improper information. Location is look cool but the customer service sucks

Dealing with the questions that needed to be answered, which we all know can takes a lot a patience. My phone was even dying and he took the time to find a charger and did. They do a good job with basic services - fast oil change, etc. More complicated repairs arent their thing. To their credit they didnt charge me when they couldnt fix an issue, but it did take several days for them to realize they couldnt fix it. Nice people.

If there’s a problem, they’ll get it figured out and taken care of!!

On vacation in Lago Vista went to Austin for a day trip driving back to resort stopped at 7-11 and my car is saying coolant temperature high. Saw them went straight there. My fan stopped working, they had to order it and arrived the next day. They fixed my car and I was able to get it. The price was fair really thought it would cost more. Again a big thank you for all your help in my last minute need.

As I was driveing out of my apartment complex a group flagged at me to stop. After looking under the car I was told that plastic shield was draggin on the ground and needed to be fastened up. One suggested I go to this garage to see if they could repair it.I drove over and asked, and the manager got me in as soon as the car in the stall left. In a very short time he told me it was ready, and wouldnt even charge me.All I can say is this wonderful service will keep me coming back.

They fixed my brakes fixed my alignment changed my oil answered my questions gave me good advice explained things were patient good attitude help me make it to my meeting on time by giving me a free rental car to use (free gas:) worked with me with the price and i got a free car wash ill be back!!!

Talk about a damsel in de stress. After calling ahead to find the wait time for an oil change my car notified me of a leak in my tire which quickly turned into a flat upon minutes. I made it safely to kwik Kar whom came highly recommended from a friend and not only did they complete my oil change within my lunch hour but also plugged my tire leak and offered to change my flat to the spare if it was not patchable at NO CHARGE! Quick service with a hero’s heart. I am grateful beyond measures as I typically dread taking my car to be service and practically beg my husband to do it as I often feel sheepish and looked down upon when doing such tasks. But not here. I would highly recommend Kwik Kar now and in the future and may have found myself a new oil change and mechanic home for my car. Thanks again for all that you did! ♥️

We signed up for the company fleet program and had all of our employees take their vehicles for oil changes at the end of last year. Then, we tried getting two of our company vehicles inspected over this last week and they didnt pass them. The inspector said the horn was too annoying. Horns are annoying, but it worked, so how did this not pass the inspection. They tried to sell us a horn for this vehicle. On the other vehicle, they said the the power steering fluid was low and there could be a leak in the pump. They tried to sell us a power steering pump as well. How could they not pass the inspection for something they werent even sure of! The inspector was extremely rude and asked our employee to leave. The inspector at this location may need to be retrained on what should pass and what should fail on state inspections. We will never go here again, nor have our employees go to this location, or Kwik Kar for that matter.

I recently needed a full brake job and took my truck to Kwik Kar. They replaced my bearings, brake pads, and rotors on all four tires. Approximately 5 months later my truck was squeaking when I turned left and right. Well it turns out my bearings had become loose because of a faulty part (not their fault) and needed replaced.Ryan was the gentleman who helped me and he was awesome. They completely replaced the faulty bearings/rotors under their warranty and did it in a timely manner. I was constantly informed of how long it would be and when my truck would approximately be ready. I am really pleased with my experience there and definitely plan on returning for any auto needs that may arise. Recommend!

I’m on third round of trying to get a brake job done properly. $850 later, they act as though having to come back 3-4 times to “get it right” is standard procedure. We just need to keep “adjusting the hardware” until it doesn’t squeak anymore. You will not be able to speak to an owner if you want to escalate, just stuck with a manager that acts as though “what’s the big deal? just adjusting hardware here”

Not really impressed I needed an oil change and tire rotation. Lady up front said If you buy an air filter rotation is free. Sounded great, except for my air filter for some reason cost $30 and tire rotation credited only for$24.95. That is just plain bad business. Not to mention way overpriced for an air filter. Too many other places to get an oil change. Wont return to here.

I specifically asked them to do car pre purchase inspection over the phone and in person. All they did was checking tyre thread depth and break. I mean come on use some sense.Edit: if this is the correct location. Yes it is correct. Thats what my google maps history says..

They did not put my drain plug on after a routine oil change and my car seized up and started bucking. They claim that no damage occurred, refused to take my engine apart to make sure, and offered me 3 free oil changes with this really expensive oil called royal purple and told me that now that theyve put in this special expensive oil, that I can never go back to regular oil. My car doesnt have the horse power that it did before they did this to it, and kwik kar is now telling me I need new motor mounts, yet that it has nothing to do with my car running on no oil and seizing up. Any mechanic will tell you that anytime an engine runs on no oil, damage has occurred. Im really shocked that they wont own up to their mistake and repair or replace my engine free of charge. I guess they figured since Im a single woman they can get away with it. And they have. I dont know how the owner of this business can sleep at night. Stay far away from this place. They live by no moral or ethical code

Brian the manager was a bully! Will not be taking any of my vechiles back to him. Didnt receive a courtesy call, or text message after my vechile was done. I asked him why? He blew up on me. I dont leave bad reviews, i wouldnt spend your money here.

They charge more than it cost in some other workshop, besides they didnt do a clean work, after they finish the problem still in my Mazda CX9, they supost to change the radiator because they dint fix those; at the time they take out theraeiator they brock my stick oil I went to clime about the work because they dont check the AC Coler water at the time they supost change and now I have to put AC Coler water as 3 times by month because they didnt lefth run when they change it, and about the sticker oil forget it. They said they didnt breack it but the only way could be breack that stick its when you take the radiator out of the place.Not very good recomendation.Now I have to go Mazda to have fix the radiator wich I pay $600.00 USD with this guys no warranty; plus what Im paying un Mazda and my stik oil part take it out and repleacement. Very expensive job for go some option close.Never going back there and No recomending. To day when I were there was a lady who were ask for a work qout and they told her that they dont know how much was gonna be till they start the work. Same as happen with my wife, becasue the havent any idea about how much was cost the part. Come in if you know what part its brocken and you have years doing this, you should know how much you will charge.

I went to do a scheluded maintenace for a 2016 vehicle. They didnt produce any report for the vehicle and the overinflated the tires. Without asking they also removed the windshield stickers mentioning the correct pressure and maintenance schedule from the place I bought the tires from.

Was in a hurry and needed a new battery. The staff got me in and out of there in 20 on a Saturday morning.

These guys are first in class! Jake went above and beyond to source the part needed to repair my headlamp! Will be bringing all of my vehicles here! Go to Kwik Kar on Lakeline!
