This was a service contracted through CHOICE Warranty. After some initial hick-ups with the estimates and delays due to winter storms, the job was finally completed and the heating system seems to be working fine now !

Robert did an excellent job and got our A/C back up and running fast! He was knowledgeable, professional and gave us tips on keeping our system running smoothly. Definitely recommend and would use them again.

In Fall 2023, we decided to install a whole-home generator due to my wife’s reliance on motorized transportation and frequent power outages in our area. We researched certified Generac dealers and chose TOP HVAC Service Co. in Carrollton, TX. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing, leaving us out $20,718.41 with no generator installed.Initial Contact & Deposit:- October 2023: Contacted TOP HVAC and received an estimate of $29,597.74 from Wes Hutchings, a sales rep. We paid a deposit of $20,718.41 on November 4, 2023, with an estimated timeline of 4-6 weeks.- December 20, 2023: Work began with trenching to work on the gas line hook up.Communication Breakdowns & Installation Delays:- January 6-12, 2024: Trenching was filled, and inspection passed. We were informed of changes to the generator size because Robert did not order our generator in time. We were told that the generator needs to be 18 inches away from the house, but right before they started pouring the concrete slab we noticed it was 5 feet away from the house. We had to tell Roberts employees that it was incorrect and that they needed to move it closer to the house.- January 27, 2024: No updates received; weather delays reported.- February 6, 2024: ATS box installation deadline missed. Despite multiple calls to Robert Phillips, the owner, and his assistant Charmaine, we received no response.- February 9, 2024: Robert admitted they couldn’t complete the installation timely. He said we could receive a refund or we could agree on a date that would suit both of us. We responded the same day stating that we didnt want to start over this already 4 month long process and asked what dates would be best for him, and we did not receive a response.Escalation Attempts:- February 29, 2024: Contacted GENERAC National for assistance. They tried to reach TOP HVAC but received no response.- March 12-13, 2024: Spoke with a TOP HVAC representative, Lane, who scheduled the project completion by April 18, 2024. Unfortunately, workers did not show up as promised, and only partial work was done April 4, 2024. Follow-up work was never completed.Unresolved Issues & Additional Costs:- May 7, 2024: Contacted Marvell Electric (contracted for the project) to fix work they did, but they couldn’t schedule work without direction from Robert Phillips.- June 11-25, 2024: Continued attempts to reach TOP HVAC were met with minimal responses. On June 26, Charmaine mentioned a possible refund, but details were vague.- July 5, 2024: Robert proposed a partial refund of $10,718.41 but provided no supporting documentation for the $10,000 in completed work. He also asked for a payment plan for his proposed refund amount.- July 11, 2024: Requested detailed invoices for support of the $10,000 of work completed. No response received.- July 29, 2024: Last attempt to contact TOP HVAC, outlining our next steps and suggested payment plan. No response as of August 19, 2024.- 40+ unreturned phone calls, e-mails, and text messages over the last four months.Conclusion:We initially chose TOP HVAC Service Co. for their certified status and assurances of timely installation. However, this process has resulted in more stress, additional costs, and no functioning Generac generator.We seek a full refund of $20,718.41 or a detailed breakdown of the completed work with a proportional refund verified by a third party Generac dealer. Ideally, we prefer a full refund immediately, but we are open to the payment plan with interest, if necessary.Final Thoughts:- We had hoped to ensure my wife’s safety with a reliable generator, but TOP HVAC Service Co. failed to deliver on their promises. The lack of communication, missed deadlines, and unfulfilled commitments have been deeply frustrating. We urge Generac to more thoroughly vet their authorized dealers and all customers avoid working with TOP HVAC at all cost.

I’ve dealt with a lot of HVAC companies and they are up there as one of the absolute worst. They no-showed 3 times, don’t call you back when they say they’re going to and after almost a month, still couldn’t diagnose the problem.

Not sure where to start! My warranty company appointed Top HVAC for my AC repairs. My agenda was to have the company repair my AC and then request a thorough cleaning after the fact to gain the business. This all changed when I was assigned Robert as my technician whom later tells me he is the supervisor. As a supervisor you should never show up late, assets the issue in 10 minutes, leave without fixing the issue (as simple as a relay), and leave without leaving some type of documentation. When I called to ask why the simple repair couldn’t be fixed I was told he had to keep moving onto his other customers and that I could call warranty back for a different serving company. My question is….Are WARRANTY customers treated differently because it’s a warranty claim because that’s the attitude I received. I asked for Robert’s supervisor and he stated he was the supervisor but in fact we all have a supervisor above our title unless you’re the owner. I feel Robert robbed he’s employer of a potential new customer and made the company look very unprofessional. Another day without AC due to the lack of supplies and poor supervision.

TOP HVAC is an exceptional heating and air-conditioning company. Their work is superb, their team is courteous and professional, and they make sure to clean up after completing the job. The company owner is dedicated to excellent customer service. Im thoroughly impressed and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in the area.

This company deserves 10 stars!! Huge difference from the original contractor assigned to us by our warranty company! They are the perfect example of all the good qualities I mentioned above! Tech was civil,, a little serious, however it could have been due to the long drive, about 1hr+. Tech did get the air finally blowing cold, but did inform me that he didnt know how long it would last. Stated he submitted a request to HWA regarding our unit needing to be replaced. Praying HWA will approve.

I highly recommend working with Top HVAC Service. From contacting them to them showing up at my house, this company was on top of the process. Robert was my technician, and I found him to be a gentleman and very conscientious of our home. My experience was A++ with these folks. If youre stuck like I was, give them a call. They will treat you right and get the problem fixed.

I really appreciate Top HVAC they replaced one of my air conditioners about 2 years ago. They are so helpful with the information that they give so when we had trouble with our other unit I called them . They replaced the second unit and the furnace. So proud of our new system. Very efficient, family oriented and enjoys seeing his customers pleased

Robert found the problem with exhaust fan on furnace that was causing the noise and fixed it.

Anthony answered right away and came out at 11pm to service our outside unit! He did a fantastic job and was very fast and efficient. He replaced the capacitor and checked the compressor, freon, and the fan motor too all for a fair and honest price. We will absolutely use Top HVAC again if/when the need arises. I called TOP HVAC this past month, and they were so professional and excellent to work. When the service tech came to my home, they wore professional clothes and shown so much respect and consideration to my AC. I knew right away that I would work with them again! Either they dont know what theyre doing or just lazy! My upstairs is hot downstairs is cooling just fine was told I needed new duct from a couple different people but homeowner’s insurance is involved and sends this company out . Would not recommend them.
