Update 7/18: Despite sending a senior technician to inspect the work, the temperature remains over 75°F. Another technician subsequently visited and incorrectly reported that the system was cooling normally. Having personally visited the property, I can confirm it is uncomfortably humid, clearly indicating an unresolved issue with the AC. Despite providing hourly logs since the initial visit, the problem persists, and we are approaching two months without resolution. This situation is unacceptable and requires immediate attention whether it’s to replace the unit or something.I really hate to leave a bad review, but my experience with Bell Mechanics over the past 3-4 weeks has been extremely frustrating. They installed the AC unit in our new build property, which is less than a year old, and we’ve already had to replace the TXV and coil. Despite these replacements, my tenants have been without proper AC for nearly a month.The temperature in the house only drops to 74°F in the mornings and rises to 82°F during the day, which is unbearable in Texas. My tenants baby has fallen ill due to the heat. Ive had to purchase two temporary AC units to help cool the house, but its still not enough.After numerous calls, the company has been giving us the runaround, treating this situation as if it’s not a priority. Many technicians has came out about five times with no resolution, and now they’re saying the duct was disconnected and have to wait for management review.. told us to call next day which I did and apparently no mangers were in to review the issue. I am not even sure if they are diagnosing the issue correctly and just guessing at this point. Each visit has required us to wait nearly a week.We have a family suffering in the heat, and the lack of urgency and effective solutions from Bell Mechanics is unacceptable

This company is not very good when it comes to new build hvac systemsTechnician is just trying to save face by saying they did everything by the book and it passed inspectionThe thing sounds like a freight train when its runningI asked a simple questionDid you test the static pressure; he claims he does not have to.Okay; well i did. And its 3 times the amount it is supposed to be.System is rated for .5wc max external static pressure, the reading i got was 1.6wcNow all this means is the amount of air pressure buildup inside the air handler. If we go over the rated amount; motors will fail, compressors will fail, capacitors will fail frequently, even worse mold buildup inside the system will occour due to improper air changes.Theres a simple fix and they do not care to do anything about it.I cant wait to see all the failed systems on my street in 5 years.They obviously need a better designer if they cant use a ductalator properly.Ill send pics of what i mean soon, and add the ducting corrections i have to do as well.

Bell installed my HVAC unit during new construction of my home. So I went with them for semi-annual maintenance thinking theyd properly maintain it. Well nothing could be further from the truth. My home is now 5 years old and algae and bacteria have built up in my pipes from not being cleared out on a regular basis and now theres mold in the ceiling of one of my bathrooms. Have gotten 2 estimates for mold remediation both are the same meaning its gonna cost me $1100. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Van #132 for Bell Mechanic in Texas is a horrible driver and almost caused an accident in Farmersville, Tx today. They cut in front several cars to avoid traffic lines which we should all be patient and considerate of as everyone is dealing with the same road conditions. If they’re driving is any indication of their services then would not recommend.

Zero stars!!!! A tech came out, was here for hours and left the house HOT. He made everything worse. Literally 90 degrees inside the house on the hottest days in Texas. Definitely unacceptable!!! The air was not working for two days! They came back out and honestly the air is still not working properly in every room. Terrible, just terrible!

As the contractor and warranty provider for DR HORTON, Bell HVAC gets a good rating for response. The technicians that Ive encountered have been friendly, polite, and efficient. Of course this is a very important part of building a rapport with customers and earning future business (and referrals), but the most paramount aspect of a company is the quality and reliability of the products they offer.I purchased a new build home by DR HORTON in December 2023. That being said, I would have expected that all systems were professionally installed and inspected. I was horrified how untrue that assumption was; just about every system had egregious defects- HVAC being the most costly in the damages from the systems failures.Mid January the AC was completely out. The tech assessed the problem and pinpointed the problem. A pipe had a hole in it which caused all the freon to leak out; thus, me and my dog were exposed to this which is obviously a hazard to ones health. The tech, Christian, quickly got to work welding the pipe, replacing the freon and ensured everything was in safe working condition. No shortcuts.were made nor did he rush the job since it was late.I thought that was just a hiccup, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Shortly afterwards, I began noticing excessive humidity: windows fogging, condensation on the registers and eventually dripping registers. The service calls became very frequent and the realization that the HVAC system was clearly failing- highly inefficient, underperforming, and installed with no attention to detail nor adequate, thorough inspections.My carpet.in the master bedroom and closet became constantly damp; my clothes, bedding, towels all became homes for a host of pathogens and my health began to suffer. With no one being able to identify the definitive cause of the chronic dampness, my carpet continued to become more toxic and dangerous to my health.Further failure of the AC system occurred once again in June. A big coil, large component, had burst a hole and once again depleted all the freon. At this point, upper management or owner should have been in communication with me, but nothing. How unprofessional and a true show of no integrity or regard for customers entrusting their biggest investment of home ownership to this kind of sub standard management.While these were not the only issues going on with my new house, there should have been much more collaborative efforts between Bell and the builder. By no means does this excuse DR HORTON for their negligence in aggressively seeking the best possible remedy; they did a few tests and knowingly let the damage continue.There have been many variables involved in the destruction of my property (carpet, clothes, bedding, towels) due to the rampant mold/mildew/pathogens because the conditions were perfect breeding grounds for these insidious life forms as well as their flourishing environment was perpetuated by failing management on both sides.

Bell mechanical installed new hvac unit for my toll brothers home in Denton in 2022. In just 2 years there are air balancing or air flow issues. Warranty doesn’t cover because it’s after a year. The work quality or craftsmanship is very low. I do not recommend Bell mechanical.

UPDATE: So they came out and righted the wrong. I appreciate your assistance in making the right. They did a great job in correcting the issue, hopefully we wont have any more issues from the defective installation. Thanks @Bell MechanicalSo when you install a unit you do not add straps to the duct board plenum to ensure the inexpensive tape you used doesnt separate causing the unit to pull apart? That really bad customer service.

Bell Mechanical and their team saved us thousands of dollars recently. We own a custom home that was built in 2016. AC was out in our master bedroom. We were quoted thousands of dollars by other service companies to fix our issue. They all wanted to install a new line set. Turns out Bell Mechanical installed the HVAC in 2016. Management took it upon themselves to do the work last week under warranty when they did not have to honor any warranty.Kudos to them! Bell Mechanical has a new customer for life...

I have used Bell Mechanical for my heating and air conditioning service since moving here in 2012. Their service has always been responsive and of the highest quality. Their technicians are well trained, professional and friendly. Daryl, my technician on my last service was outstanding to work with. Highly recommend.

Two people were sent to get our AC fixed in 2022 and 2023, and both said that there were no issues. The issue we were having kept getting worse, and in 2024 we decided to give Bell Mechanical one last chance. Technician Douglas Ngyen came out and within a couple minutes, had correctly diagnosed this issue, and due to the last couple of techs mis-diagnosing the issue was able to get our service and diagnostic fees waived. Thanks to Douglas we will continue to call Bell Mechanical for any fixes we may need in the future. Because we almost did not call them this time, because we were thinking their techs were not good, but Douglas restored our faith in the company. I dont typically write reviews, but Douglas was awesome and I think he deserves a BIG RAISE!!!!!!!!

On 6/24/2024 we noticed through both of our thermostats for our single undersized were both at 82 degrees and the system was on and running. We called into Bell mechanical as they were the installers for the home builder, stating that they would send a technician out on 6/25/2024 between 8:00am and 5:00pm to which we agreed so we had an adult at the house at all times. On 6/25 at about 3:00pm my spouse received a call notifying us that the tech was running behind and would be at our house between 5pm and 6pm. I then called in when I returned from work at about 6:30pm, tech still a no show, to which I was told that the tech was still running behind and he would get to us between 7p and 8p. At around 8:45pm I called back into Bell, left a message and I was called back at about 8:51pm stating that the tech was now finishing up his job in another city about 15 or more minutes away from my residence and we would be next. I advised the customer service representative that the tech was no longer allowed to show up to my house after 9pm when I was told he would be there between 8a to 5p. My spouse was contacted on 6/26 by Bell mechanical customer service telling her that the tech has to meet with a builder before he can even come to our now 77 plus degree house. This is absolutely unprofessional of a company to even give a time frame if they are only ever going to have a single tech for a wide area.Disclaimer: my house in question is less than a year old and has a Lennox unit in lieu of our last house having zero problems with a Carrier unit.

Bell installed the AC in my new DR Horton home. Two and a half years later my blower motor has to be replaced because their techician left the manual inside of it (see the attached photos). This is something well established from two other AC companies and irrefutable by pictures. I called them to discuss it and they said it was still within Carriers Warranty but they wouldnt do anything to fix it.I contacted customer care via the referenced below, they asked for my address not how they could reach me, or even how they could make it right.

Had them come out to replace the fresh air intake. The guy didnt secure the wires properly which caused my blower motor to stop working. We didnt know this because air would still be push through when the fa intake kicked on. Now I have a 600 dollar electric bill along with a 118 dollar service charge. Their worker also tried to sell me life insurance. Very unprofessional.Update: they reimbursed the 118 service charge.

Last night our air conditioner would not turn on, no matter what we turned the temperature to. Only to find out, it wasnt the unit, but the thermostat! Long story short Zach R came out and all is well. Awesome individual. Very knowledgeable. Understanding that everyones comfort level is not the same. He wore shoe covers inside the house 🏠. I appreciated that. 😌

I called to make an appointment and before hanging up we set on a date and am time slot. When I called back to check in on the date they would come to service my air conditioner the person on the phone stated it was scheduled on a different date and I couldn’t have the date I was told initially before hanging up. The customer service guy was extremely rude and not willing to help other than giving me a 2 week later date from when the initial date was. He refused to give me the date and time frame initially agreed to when I set up the appointment.Note: New house and Bell Mechanical is the one that installed the air conditioner. Poor quality with no air going to the master bedroom where the thermostat is located causing the rest of the house cooler then the Master Bedroom and cooler than it should be.Again poor customer service.

We built a home roughly a year ago and we were having air flow issues throughout our home and at times smelled of smoke. Bell Mechanical was the company we were under warranty with and TONY and SAM were the technicians that were dispatched.They took the time to go through the complete AC unit (inside and out) and check to make sure there were no issues and corrected the problem. They also found other potential issues for the future to just be aware of.I would highly recommend them both bc they were very educated and actually knew what they were talking about.

I would never recommend this company for A/C install or repair. I have owned a brand new home with their brand new A/C unit installed. I have had them out to my home for repair of this brand new A/C unit 9 times. I use them for 6 month maintenances as well. I have never had more problems with an A/C unit than I have with their install. They are incredibly unprofessional and rude on the phone.

I would leave a minus -5 five start if possible. This company installed the unit in my brand new home so far the system has been service 6 times already in less than three months. Two times before the closing date ( leak in a drip pan) ( condensation in the discharge pipe) ( filter box bend) then 1 month after moving in the exhaust plenum collapsed due to a poor strap installation, another 15 days later, the plenum felt again. I had to instruct the technician to use metal straps. We had severe winter weather master bedroom was cold as a freezer while the other two rooms felt like been inside an oven, technician showed up and according to him adjusted the air flow in the duct work, issue still the same nothing changed. Called customer service never received a date an time for service. Finally they schedule the same technician after 15 days of waiting. The technician that told me that they were going to perform air flow check 1/4/23 no one from this awful company has call me to schedule the test. I will file a claim with the state regulatory agency. Poor customer service, poor amateur technicians lack of skills and common sense. Absolutely the worst experience dealing with a brand new home warranty.

I just want to say thx to Alex(tech) and Jonathan(csr) and everyone at Bell Mechanical who helped me finally solve my air flow issues. Not only that but I had issues with the drain pan last summer and they took care of that as well. Issues come up, but they listened to my concerns and took care of the problems. Alex was polite and explained everything so well. Jonathan helped to by listening and making it a priority to get it fixed by getting Alex out here the next day. I am glad Ashton Woods used you as a HVAC company as your Warranty service is top notch.

Technician, Mr. Belvin, was extremely professional, contacted me prior to arriving, wore shoe covers when entering my home, listened to my concerns, was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions and educate me on maintenance needed and frequency. Carl was great. My fan motor went out but fortunately it was under warranty so I only had to pay for labor. The office at Bell got me worked in the next day and the fan was fixed the next day. Sometimes you hear nightmare stories about warranty service but that was not my experience with Bell.Update to this review after using Bell again today...2/17/21... I think service providers get a bad break on review apps because folks are more likely to post a review when things go bad. With that said, I have been dealing with Bell for 7 years and have used their HVAC repair services several times. On two occasions, I was ready to pay one amount but technicians honestly and accurately diagnosed issues that were cheaper than what I thought the issue was. Today, I thought I had a gas valve issue which would’ve cost $450 to fix. The technician found no issue with the gas valve (which I told him I thought was bad) but it was just a damper setting. He charged me the $85 trip charge and $40 bucks for his time and diagnosis. This is a great company that is trustworthy and works as fast as they can. Cody P. was my tech. He was professional, very knowledgeable and respectful.

September 2020 - Our AC went out in one unit on the two hottest days in August. We had been given the runaround and wrong diagnosis from another company stating that we needed to have a new coil replaced, along with additional items. I called Bell since they installed the units, explained our issue, and the CSC rep scheduled service tech for that afternoon. Cody & Ariel came out diagnosed, serviced, and repaired the AC unit at a much lower cost (and not the coil issue). The AC unit worked perfectly for precisely seven days. I called Bell back and let them know the air was out again, and its 87 in the house. Jerry was the next service tech found the condenser to be leaking and would need to come back the next day because he did not have the right parts and tools and would need to speak with his supervisor to see if this would be covered since it was out of warranty.Steve, the service manager, called the next am to let me know once the rain stopped, his service tech would be out. They would complete all the repairs at no cost and stood behind their installation issues that were related to the new home construction/installation of the systems back in 2017. Greg was the third and last service tech that completed the repairs; he was the nicest representative, took extra time to explain the detail of the repair, and ensured all issues were repaired, the unit was cooling and back to full operation. I appreciate a company that stands behind their company, products, and service technicians! I will ONLY use Bell in the future for all our HVAC services. Thank you!

HVAC tech listened closely to my concerns and fully answered my questions regarding my HVAC equipment. He performed the warranty work as requested with no charge to me or my builder. He wore shoe covers while walking on the carpet. I recommend Bell because of their excellent customer service ethic and their friendly/responsive dispatchers.

My husband and I bought a brand new home with a brand new HVAC system. When we moved in, we had zero cooling. The damage could have been from other contractors working on the home, but trying to get it repaired has been a nightmare. I called and scheduled a tech to come out and fix it. He came out, fixed something, and left. Still no cold air. I called and scheduled someone to come back out to actually fix the problem. The tech didnt show up or even call. I lost an entire day, waiting around for someone to come. I had to call the company repeatedly throughout the day to finally get an answer, Its raining so he cant come but we will schedule a call for 8 AM tomorrow. The next day, the tech didnt show up until nearly 11, just to tell us that the issue was in our wall and he would have to get special permission to start working on it so he would schedule a repair when he got approval. The next day, in the middle of the workday, I got a call that said someone was 15 minutes away from my house. I called back and explained that I could unlock the house but couldnt be there because my husband and I both have work. So they said they would reschedule because someone has to be there the entire time the tech is. No one plans ahead, communicates, or shows up on time. I havent had working AC in over a week.

Horrible. The ac in my new build home has now stopped working twice since we moved in December. The first time this May, I called a Thursday requesting service and they put me down for Tuesday. The tech that came said the issue was a faulty part that they don’t have in stock (why they dont have backups is beyond me) and would need to be ordered and another tech come back. The part was ordered and wouldn’t come in until that Friday afternoon, therefore they couldnt send someone out until the following Tuesday, because that Monday was memorial day. Mind you, me and my children are sitting in a hot home that entire time. My builder was able to talk to them so they could come sooner and they came Friday morning instead. My ac was fixed by the tech that came that morning and no issues. Now not even 2 months later in the extreme heat of July, my ac breaks again. I call to schedule on a Friday and get told someone will be out Monday afternoon (today) and i just got a call to reschedule tomorrow. Another night my newborn baby and daughter will sleep in this 82 degree home who’s AC has failed AGAIN (in less than 2 months) that was installed by this company. Im hoping its not the same part again from May, if not it will be another ordered part we have to wait on!

I had to replace my evaporator coil and the entire process was extremely smooth. The scheduling was simple, the guys were on time and the cost was reasonable.I have had experiences with other contractors who either charge a hefty price or are not timely. I am glad I went with Bell Mechanical!

We had a burning smell coming through our vents in our home bell mechanical came out, check the entire unit over and assured us everything was good to go. They also insulated a line that needed to be taken care of. I cannot remember the name of the tech that came out but he was very prompt and very efficient and made sure that we understood everything that was going on. I would definitely use this company again because of this to Tech in particular.!

Where do i start? Your lucky if you get a tech that know what there doing. 2nd time i spent $192 for someone to drive to my home and not find the problem. Currently waiting on a refund from them and when i call they act like im bothering them. If you tell me it takes 48hrs for a refund and i call you in 4 days i shouldnt be the problem. Dont recommend them as your first choice. Maybe the last resort.

My AC was not cooling properly. The 2 year warranty as provided when i bought the home had just expired the previous month. I fearedc the worst as AC repairs can be expensive. The technician was very knowledgeable, explained the problem in terms i could understand and had the unit repaired and cooling in less than an hour. He even educated me on proper cooling temps and how to avoid the same issue in the future. The cost was hundreds cheaper than Id anticipated! Im very appreciative and happy with the service.

This company doesn’t even deserve a 1 star! They have done a horrible job ever since they installed our AC unit in our new build home (Beazer) Our house was extremely humid (75%-80%) making us get mold in random places. We called Bell mechanic and they sent a technician who clearly didn’t know what he was doing. After spending 1 hr looking at our unit he said there was NOTHING wrong and that the house was humid because that’s how it was outside (a total joke)We then called a different company to come inspect and they said Bell Mechanical had done a disaster when they installed our unit and there was so much that needed fix, for starters they didn’t seal the system all the way making cold air escape all over the attic(no wonder was my electric bill was so high)They aLeo installed the Damper inside out making it stay open 24/7 which was letting all the humidity from outside in.Please do yourself a favor and run away from this company. If you are building a home ask who their contractor is for HVAC unless you want your AC to breakdown every year.2 weeks after: 08/03/23They replied to my review and said to email them about concerns which I did and they didn’t even bother to call me or email me back! I, in fact had to call them and request to talk to a supervisor because this ongoing humidity in my house is insane! (The manager came out and of course said there wasn’t nothing wrong, yet our ac is still not doing what it’s supposed to) Don’t get fool by this company and waste your money/time! Stay away!!!!

I would give zero stars if I could. Our builder uses Bell Mechanical for their installs and service. Since moving in we have had issues with the house not cooling and having very high humidity. We called Bell and had techs come to our house 3-4 times. One time they fiddled with the ducts, another time we had too much coolant which they drained.After getting no relief after these 3-4 visits we called the company we used at our old house locally. They came out and immediately were able to determine that the fans in our attic had never been calibrated properly. They were able to do the calibration and also had to add coolant as guess what, it was low. Since this visit our issues have been resolved.I contacted Bell to seek reimbursement as I felt that their techs should have either properly installed our system or had a tech that was able to identify the issue. They were not willing to do so as I should have called them, and missed work, yet again.I am extremely disappointed in their lack or service or care about trying to resolve issues.

Bell Mechanical was the company that my builder Gehan used to install our HVAC system. I wouldnt recommend them. They did not care to register our HVAC equipment, which most HVAC companies will do, so instead of having a 10 year warranty, we only got a 5 year warranty. Now we have to spend $4,000+ to replace our evaporator coil which should have been covered under warranty. Pure laziness has cost us thousands of dollars 8 years later. It should be mentioned that we have 2 units, and the evaporator coil in the other unit went bad back in 2018 as well, it was just lucky that we were barely within the warranty period on that one. Theres nothing anyone can do because Bell Mechanical did not register our equipment, which most HVAC companies will do if they are not being lazy. Great work, experienced technicians, Good customer service from technicians, but Ms. Irma a customer service representative on the phone in Louisiana was very insensitive, was very sarcastic and was not empathetic of my wife and her health issues, regarding the air not working, even after explaining to her that the air was working prior to the technicians coming out to replace our dehumidifier that had a recall on it. Thankfully we were able to call the technicians back directly who gladly came back out to our home with no problem and realized that they accidentally forgot to reconnect a wire that they disconnected which was causing out air to not work. Ms. Irma’s only course of action was to schedule us the next day and to have us in a hot house overnight in Louisiana with high humidity.

We contacted Bell for a warranty check on HVAC in our new house. Scheduler was polite and helpful. The maintenance guy was on time, communicating when on his way. He immediately recognized the problem, fixed it and showed us how to adjust for any future issues. We already have Bell scheduled for Spring maintenance. We highly recommend them.

I bought a brand new home from. D R Horton. One month after living in the house. I tried to get ceiling fan installed and was told that there were no brackets in the ceiling to hold the ceiling fan, I called bell electronics to try to have it corrected. And they refused, they told me It would cost me $150. For each fan to be installed by them. the electricians I contacted could not install the ceiling fan without brackets in the ceiling. I am super disappointed with Bell Electronics.

They provide the warranty service for my new home which I purchased from DR Horton. I called about my AC going out on Saturday night around 9:00pm, they called me back within 45 min, told me they would try and have someone come by tomorrow on Sunday. I get a call at 11am that they are on their way, I described what it was doing and told them I could be there in 30 min. When I showed up, the tech already had the problem fixed, and asked me to turn it on, it has worked perfectly ever since. They have a customer for life!

I gave four stars because it took two service calls to remedy my AC issues. Both techs were very polite and personable and went straight to their work as soon as I relayed the trouble.I will call Bell Mechanical again if issues occur. Marcus, the 1st tech called another tech to ask a question pertaining to my issue, and upon completion he did what the two had spoken about and that cleared up my AC problem as the machine started right up and began to cool down my home. Marcus stayed for a while to be sure the unit was operating fine and we signed off on the paperwork and Marcus left heading to his next service call.Two days later, the same issues began again so I called Bell and another tech was dispatched to our home to address the issue. About 4 hours after the call, a technician named Sam arrived at our home and upon telling him about what was happening with our unit, Sam went straight to work and checked everything out. Within 30 minutes, Sam came to me and told me his findings. We discussed it for a few minutes and then he did what he had to do to get our AC up and running. We thanked him for his quick service and he was on his way to his next call.I would recommend Bell to my family and friends for all their AC / Heating problems.

So far, so good. Called about a warranty issue. Scheduled to come out roughly a day later which is to be expected. Service tech called ahead, showed up on time and ready to work. Assessed the situation and did his troubleshooting to find the issue with my AC unit. Ordered part and it’s expected to be here next week, all covered under warranty. Long story short, I had technician come out while the 2year new home service warranty was active for a leak on drain pan underneath a/c unit. There was water in pan and all he did was spray paint and say it was normal. It’s not normal and it’s been leaking at a slow pace but leaking nonetheless. I was under the impression it was “normal” since that was the diagnosis but I realized and asked around and it shouldn’t be that way. It was a way to neglect service while it was still under labor warranty. I am asking for someone to come back and inspect and fix the issue that was never fixed from the beginning. I fear it has affected my a/c unit and shorten its life cycle due to negligence from Bell. Stay away from this company.Reply to owner: I already emailed the company but no response.

I would highly suggest not using Bell Mechanical for any/all HVAC services. My wife and I just finished having a horrible experience with them.A few days ago I had called Bell to send out a technician as we were experiencing a chemical smell coming from the vents. They sent one out and it went fine. The technician couldn’t spot the exact problem but let us know what he did to try and fix it. The next evening I noticed that our heat wasn’t working. Also our ADT security panel which is connected to our thermostat wouldn’t work either and said there was a malfunction. The thermostat was also not functioning properly and wouldn’t adjust the temperature. With temperatures dropping to 25 degrees and no heat I decided to call Bell as the problem occurred because of the technician. Their customer service, after being told all of this information, assured me that it was a problem either with our ADT security panel or the thermostat provider. She told me they could send out a emergency call but recommended to try the other two services first and they’d be ready to come out if need be. I took her advice and spent more than 3 hours on the phone working through different steps with both ADT and our thermostat provider to find that the problem had to do with the unit itself. I then decided to call Bell back and let them know that I had tried all other steps and that I had spoken to a customer service rep earlier who assured me someone could be sent out if need be. When I called this time there was no record of that conversation and I was told that there was nothing they could do tonight. I asked to speak to a supervisor and assured her that the problem was caused by one of her technicians. She was incredibly rude and tried to use loopholes in my home builders agreement to prevent having to bring somebody out that night. Despite it getting as low as 25 degrees and having no heat whatsoever and it being caused by a technician, she refused to work with me and said someone may come out that night but to no surprise nobody showed up. I woke up the next morning and called Bell right as they opened. I explained the entire situation and let this customer service member know that we needed somebody out as soon as possible as our house was starting to get unbearably cold. She told me that somebody would absolutely be out between 8 AM and 12 PM and apologized for all the issues. Sadly, nobody ever showed up…. again.After watching tons of YouTube videos and spending hours in my attic I found that the heating system had been switched off on a small breaker on the bottom of the system. The technician while trying to fix the chemical smell had shut off the furnace but never turned it back on. Once I found this switch and flipped it back instantly our entire house regained heat and all of our thermostats and panels returned back to normal.Despite having over 48hrs of no heat while temperatures were below freezing if not sub 25 degrees, and with a pregnant wife, I was never assisted by Bell. I was never sent out another technician after the prior one had clearly caused the issue. I was given an attitude combined with loophole answers by high ranking employees at the company who never apologized. After spending hours on the phone, hours trying to figure out an issue that I was told couldn’t have been Bells, and after hours of sitting in a dangerously cold house with no care and with a snow storm on the way I would highly suggest taking your business elsewhere, to a company that will actually care for their customers rather than try and hand it off to someone else.

Mr. Tyrone did in one hour what SEVERAL techs did not in over a year of service request! He thoroughly explained All of the issues that happen to be poor service from the previous techs that he had to go behind and fix. He should be promoted to training other techs! Not only was he effective but he was efficient and incredibly kind! If they send a tech to you, ask for him! I don’t know how many other techs are as great as Mr. Tyrone (the ones I had before him were not) but if you end up with someone else, I would say that you’re taking a gamble. My thermostats went completely out in our brand new home. So I sent an email to get things resolved this was around 10 or 11 pm. I woke up and had no reply so I called the emergency line about 10 am since it was starting to get really cold in the house. 1st call no one answers I leave a message. 2nd call was around 3 pm no one answered again I left another message. Called again for a third time at 7 pm someone finally answered and asked for my address so I give it to her. She recognized my address like of yea the house in fate tx I respond yes that house she says the worker was finishing up his last house. She said she would contact him to see if he could swing by and she would call me back. Welp guess what no one called back. So now me and my kids had to sleep in the same room with the only space heater I called for a 4th time at around 10 pm no answer as usual. For a company with an emergency line they sure do not treat their customers issues with any urgency and the lack of communication was just disappointing. Thank goodness we don’t have to pay for their services because the house is still under warranty because if it wasn’t we would surely use a different company.Also I called this morning found out that I have an appointment for 12. I guess they didn’t feel the need to call me and communicate that.

A customer service representative actually answered my call on Mothers day, and was able to get me an appointment the very next day. The mechanic was able to fix the issue at hand. Our new build from Dr Horton is under warranty and we called the emergency number for the AC contractor.I called Bell Mechanic yesterday because our AC was tripping the breaker. The tech came by and tested everything. He stick around for over an hour to be sure it would not trip again. After further troubleshooting he determined it was an issue with the circuit breaker not being the proper size. I called the electrician emergency number provided by Dr Horton and they came by same day within the hour and determined that the 35 amp breaker should be a 40 amp breaker. I guess it should have been replaced before closing but was overlooked. Problem solved and the ac is back to working again.

This is an amendment to my earlier review of one star. Long story with Bell Mechanical and a leaking evaporator coil. The leak started before the system was one year old in a new house. The techs kept charging with refrigerant telling me the coils were fine. Once the coils were out of warranty then they told me the coils needed to be changed. After a short span of time and two other companies assessing the system, charging with refrigerant, and doing a leak test I called Bell Mechanical and spoke with the regional manager. The reason I gave four stars is that after explaining the history of techs work here, the manager made the situation right to my satisfaction. He did the right thing and he could have easily just said it was out of warranty. I greatly appreciated Steve doing the right thing in this case. Thank you!

We bought our house 2 weeks ago.(new construction) Couldnt keep the house cool unless it was set to 70. They came out the first time and checked. Low Freon. Now, its doing the same thing. Scheduled another appointment. My window was 12-5. He did not call ahead and just pops up. He rings the doorbell. My son answers and was asked if it was cool in the house. My son says yes. Called them to look at our ac which was not working. Tech was great but said we had a leak and would need a new part. I would be called the next day to discuss if under warranty. He added freon to get us cool again until the part was installed. I have called 3 times Over the last 2 weeks and today was told the part still had not been ordered as they were waiting for my approval (no one told me this when I called prior/ no 1 called to get my approval). The last lady I spoke with today showed no empathy and hung up on me when I explained I would go elsewhere at this point for service At least the tech got us back for the short term, I will go elsewhere for the perm solution.......

Dishonest and very unethical techs. 1st one lied about the size of AC unit builder had this company installed claiming unit to be 5 ton when it was 3.5 ton for a 2160 sqft home with AVG 10 ceilings. when we complained and Bell air sent another technician he shamelessly claimed that a 2160 house required no bigger than 3.5 ton unit in TX while every other HVAC company I talked to recommended 4 Ton for 2000+ sqft with 9-11ft ceiling height. Bell wont say this because they can lose business they are getting from Khov. I would not recommed neither Bell Air nor Khov. Both are horrible and dishonest and would lie to you while looking in your eyes. Since 2nd tech left, AC is performing worse than what it was before he did whatever he did. He also made up that we would only get 2 free air balancing which was NEVER mentioned before so dont trust this company with ANYTHING they tell you. These people should be reported to TX Attorney General Office for deceiving and deceptive business practices!

Had to follow up multiple times due to part delay and no communication despite promises of call back.Post that I was charged a huge sum that no one would explain what the details are for. Despite requesting the invoice details and receipt, nothing is sent and the card is charged. Seems very deceitful as the technician would not explain the details as each one puts it on the other and the customer service says they will email it right away and it never comes.Also poor display of craftsmanship as the technician would not tell what caused the compressor go bad, why the fan makes such noise and just say it’s fixed now and this makes me think that we are setup for another repair soon.Overall very disappointed and does not live up to the fancy videos on the website about customer service and doing what is required for customer.

This company is a joke. They install for big contractors like DR Horton then when you need service you are the red headed step child.Scheduled appointment on Wed for Thurs. On Thursday around 3:30 I called to make sure they were still coming.I was assured Joey was in my area and there was 1 more before me.Next I receive a call at 7pm to let me know if I still wanted them to come today it would be $190 instead of the $89 I was quoted.She also told me she could not get someone here tomorrow either. Our AC unit is only 2 years old and already out. Called Bells last night on their emergency line never got a call back. Called them this morning to find out I am a fit in for today and show up time as late as 7 pm. It is over 100 degrees outside and 90 degrees in my house. I have 2 dogs, a special needs niece, other kids in the house plus us adults. Its too hot to be told you are a fit in. Plus I was outside at 11am when I saw a Bells AC truck leave another customers home and pass my house then leave. I have another company coming out at 3-5 pm which I hope he gets here first cause I will tip this guy for showing up at least. It is too hot to have people wait, I dont care how busy you get! YIf you cant proved them at least offer a hotel room for the family. This is sad. People will die before summer is up! We purchased a new home and Bell Mechanical was the service provider for the HVAC system. This was a little over a year ago.In just over a year we have had to have them come and repair their shockingly poor install no less then 7 TIMES. Every time they come, they do some minor and clearly poorly done fixes and the system works. Then a week or so later, like clockwork, it stops working. We live in an incredibly hot state and the inside house temps can reach close to 90 degrees. Every single person they have sent has done terrible and shoddy replairs. I do NOT recommend them to anyone so please take this review as a warning to anyone considering using this company.

I have been a customer since 2018 and I was happy with the service I received until my last two appointments December 2020 and June 2021. Both times the technicians was late. My June 2021 appointment was scheduled between 8 and 12 the dispatcher calls at 11:45 and said the technician would be at my home by 12:15. At 1:05 the technician was still enroute. Totally unprofessional on the part of the scheduler or dispatcher I should have received a phone call long before 11:45 if you knew that the technician was running that far behind schedule. Hope in the future more training is giving towards meeting the appointments scheduled or maybe that’s the problem they are overbooking and the technician can’t keep up which is bad I don’t want you to come out and do a rush job on my units.

What a terrible experience. Had no choice but to use this company since it was a new construction build and our builder obviously just uses them but wow. They installed system incorrectly and we started getting a mildew smell in the house. Called them back out and they said everything looked fine, everything was not fine and I knew that so I then called a different company and paid them 80 dollars to come and tell me what bell mechanical did wrong which they did thank goodness. Called bell back and said yeah this is what is wrong and so they sent someone out and said yep it was definitely installed wrong. Service guy said that he needs to go order the parts to get it fixed which sounded great until here we are a month later I have been continuously calling just to have their customer service tell me time and time again that the parts are not in. (and those are the times that they actually pick up the phone. Half the time they just hang up on me.) have no idea when this is going to finally get resolved but this company is garbage and would never recommend to anyone.

When they installed the unit they did a poor job and it leaked freon because they failed to tighten the cap. When the A/C wasnt cooking they were called out. $300.00 (89.00 service fee + freon). 45 days still having issue including cold air leaking from the unit in the attic. Bell mechanical installed my homes HVAC system. Less than four years later I am looking at a $4000 repair. They will not cover it under their warranty. Another HVAC company that I had to come out when they refused to warranty a cracked evaporator coil pointed out several things that were not done up to code. Again, the house is only a couple years old. Their competitors put a 10 year warranty on their work, Bell Mechanical will not warranty their work beyond two years on a full system install.

Anytime they have come to my home super friendly.BUT…Recently and previously the people that I interact with on the phone.. especially one lady sooo rude. I had a part on back order and no air conditioning after I paid $400 for Freon until my part came in. It didn’t even last 24 hours. I called them to explain it didn’t last 24 hours. I have health conditions that make heat an issue for my conditions. I explained I had paid $400 the day before and that I have them service my AC twice a year $265 or so each time. I asked as a customer could they please come back out and add Freon. She told me sure but we will charge you again. I said ok I’m a regular customer and this didn’t last 24 hours could you do the right thing and just come and do it. I explained I don’t have $400 a day. She told me no and if I didn’t like it maybe I should stay in a hotel. Unfortunately my home was built with them having the contract on the warranty so I use them. When I called to check on my part to see if they had an estimated time frame, she again told me not to call her she would call me, and she makes all calls about parts by 10 am. I politely told her that I would probably call every couple of days to make sure it didn’t fall thru the cracks. After nearly two weeks I called at 3pm (after 10 am) and finally got a different lady who said oh yes your part will be here tomorrow would you like to schedule it to be installed! Point is, obviously she wasn’t going to call me.. it was after 10 am. I’ve dealt with her before she is always rude. She seems to have a power trip. I can say that I was always polite and she was always rude. She even told me that I should expect this bc my unit is old… it’s not even a full 4 years old!!! I wish I remembered her name.I no longer care that they have the warranty on my AC. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! And I’d advise anyone else not to use them if you don’t have to.

Much like my career industry (Auto Repair), many HVAC companies have a bad reputation, because people feel they are being taken advantage of or constantly lied to. While this may be true for some companies, I can tell you there are good companies out there that will do honest work.I am a strong believer in giving credit where credit is due. Bell Mechanical is a fantastic company. Our HVAC system was installed by them about a year and a half ago. Weve had a couple (very minor) issues since then. They have been prompt, responsive, and rapid to resolve issues. Multiple techs have come out, but Joey has been here a couple times. Joey is always on time, quick to resolve issues, and more than willing to thoroughly explain the issue. I have never felt pressured, lied to, or seen them just put a bandaid on the problem. Bell Mechanical will definitely continue to get my business for the foreseeable future.

Called Bell Mechanical since they were listed as original people who installed HVAC for the new home. Its been only 3 years and the Carrier AC stopped cooling. The outdoor unit pipe got frozen, so shut down and AC and called Bell. A technician came, without even looking properly diagnosed it was leak. He did not open anything. Just got a gadget and saw some meter reading. Ok understood, may be he knew what it was. Then came and said all the refrigent leaked and no freon. He says he wants to check the attic and he went there not sure what he did, came down and said he put in 4 pounds of freon and each pound was $98 and charged me over $600 with the service fee and all that. And quoted a whopping $1500 to repair the coil leak. He didnt even know where the leak was. Not sure where he was quoting it from. Funny thing is AC is still under warranty. I called another AC company today as that guy opened everything, said there was no coil leak or evaporator leak. Came to the outdoor unit and checked a leak in the hot gas line. And said, since its under warranty, they will try to call the Carrier and get it sorted or else I would have to pay around $900 including the Freon which was $35/pound. So now you know how experienced Bell Mechanical technicians are and how they are ripping off. I would not recommend based on my interaction.

Bell Mechanical services installed the HVAC in my new home. The heater has never functioned correctly. In fact it didnt even work when we turned it on the first time it got cold in DFW. So far they have been out to my house 12 times. here is a list of issues.]1. The burners were not manufactured correctly.2. Bell damaged the Flue (leaking CO into my attic which shares the same floor as my second floor.3. Wrong speed cap on top of the Flue (low speed replaced to a high speed)4. The gas valve had to be replaced because it wasnt opening all the way leaking natural gas into the house (We had the fire department, a plumber and Bell out for this one.) The Tech from bell said it CANNT be the Furnace. After the part was replaced no more smell.5. They added bends to the flue because they stated that the flue is in the wrong spot and its the Builders fault.Needless to say they have been out to my house ten or twelve times. They want to come back out I am sure to add a 5 foot extension. Which will require support cables! The problem is we havent had much wind. So if it was the builder and a flue problem we shouldnt have a error with NO WIND.Needless to say... Use them at your own risk. They may be a great company if your the purchaser, but if they installed your system in a new home. I would buy a different house and save your self the grief. Monday its suppose to be negative 3 degrees here and what is keeping us warm are space heaters that we bought because the Furnace that Bell Mechanical installed in our New Home... is less useful than a sack of rocks.

Our AC has not worked since 9/10/21. We STILL don’t have AC and I have a newborn baby. Also my husband works from home so all of us have been so miserable. We have contacted Bell numerous times and every time we call we have to start over with a new customer service rep. This company doesn’t take basic needs like AC in 95 degree Texas heat seriously. They continue to make empty promises.

Terribly. Was scheduled to come out between 3-5 pm and a tech didnt show up til 7 and took ac apart. Told me that he would prep for the guy that had the part and he would show up before first tech was done. Well first tech finished and left the system open to atmosphere and 2nd tech called and said he would show at 10pm. Tech called me right before 10 and asked me of I really wanted it done telling me it would take 4-5 hours. I told him I did and 20 mins later, dispatch called me and said tech wouldnt be able to make it.

Been using Bell for 5 years 2x a year for normal maint. Had AC break recently. They told me they had to source part from China and TBD when they could get. Saw another HVAC company down the street, googled their reviews which were good. They stopped by after, went to truck to see about part, and came back to install that PM. They also said Bell who did install used the cheapest parts. Had prior issues but stuck with them as they put in all the ACs in development. New company also got part in warranty when Bell said it was out of warranty. Will not be using Bell again.

Brought into home to work on dryer vent they installed which had a trash bag left from construction. Mold was on top plate and down laundry wall due to incompetence. Some time later they were called to check on why vents had condensate building to which an employee arrived wearing sweat pants with socks and flip flops. Absolutely unprofessional. $89 service charge to tell me that the vents had condensate around them due to being done incorrectly - then followed up by telling me the job was done right. Told nothing would be done and that insulation was put back - wet - until supervisor called me and I paid more money.

Bell Mechanical answered the phone and set me up with a tech coming out the next day. Sammy showed up, I told him my story, new to the area and house and the inspection pointed to the AC units as older and maybe undersized. Sammy investigated and found several issues that would point to the hot spots that sparked the call. I was skeptical, but took what he said and went to another carrier off my list for 2nd opinion and pricing comparison. The 2nd opinion proved Sammy right and with both quotes in hand I called Bell Mechanical back, not because of price, but because of what they found wrong. Their supervisor Alex came out to size up the job, he is an amazingly knowledgeable guy and he showed me everything wrong and explained why it was wrong, he even found an undersized breaker on my other unit! We are very happy with the level of expertise, professionalism, and quality of work from Bell Mechanical from every department we interacted with. Hands down my choice.

Jose from Bell came to check out an abnormal noise our brand new unit in our brand new build home AC was making. This was related to an incorrectly installed condensation drain from the attic unit. Jose fixed the drain, cleaned the nearly overflowing drain pan and made everything right.I can’t say enough good things about Jose, he was stellar. Horrible customer service. This company installed the unit in our current home and we have been having issues with cooling since day one. They always sent out a service tech who would say its low on freon replace it and move on. Now that we are out of warranty they are not doing anything to fix the underlying issue. Very frustrating as no one at this company seems to be helpful in any regard.

On four occasions Ive called Bell Mechanical and politely asked for my promised refund. No one at Bell Mechanical will return my call. I still dont have my refund. I bought a new house in which Bell was the installer of HVAC in the new house. Supply air plenum has detached from air handler 4 times in a year, every time they come out they add more pookie and duct tape, and it is still not right. My first year warranty is almost up and now they wont even call me back after leaving messages. Will update this post later if I can get a hold of them, maybe I can talk to service manager eventually.
