Spot Coolers

Details: Classic Plus 26 MovinCool Industrial Portable HVAC Unit.*** Update Feb 18, 2025. I have been forced to throw this unit out as MovinCool does not appear to offer repair services for any of their units. They simply want you to throw it out and buy a new one. I did, but I didnt buy one of theirs. I am now a loyal customer or any competitor.I hate having to write this post. Why? Because the first interaction was with a female worker who was beyond awesome and helpful - located in Carrolton Tx. If I could find her again, I wouldnt be writing this. Today when I called, my call was routed to Florida where Todd who identified himself as the Operations Manager answered. I explained my need to have a $5k industrial HVAC unit purchased from Spot On Coolers serviced. He explained that if [I] cannot find a repair tech in my area (somewhat rural) that I should throw it away and he can sell me a new one. I asked for a recommendation for a tech since the twelve I called know nothing about these and wouldnt touch it. I offered to deliver the unit to them to make it easier to repair. He replied with [We are not a junk yard of old units and cannot have them crowding up our warehouse]. He further told me they are not the manufacture just a distributer and its not his problem. He has no idea where Denton Texas is and cannot recommend anyone who can repair it. If I want a working unit, I can purchase one from him, problem solved. I should point out that my first call with the young lady who originally helped me, she suggested that I bring it to them so they can get a tech in to work on it. I am amazed at the arrogance and complete lack of respect provided to an existing customer. I would recommend that Todd get some more training. I dropped a lot of money on a unit with less than 25 hours on it. Yes, it is old but in nearly new condition and I simply wanted it serviced. Not asking for warrantee or for anything free. I am happy to pay for the work. Why is that such a bad thing?UPDATE: Nothing at all happened. I am trying on my own to find a repair tech who can work on these units. Stay away from MovinCool Products! I anticipate I will have to throw this out and buy a new unit. I will NOT buy another Movincool product.
