Completely unprofessional and dishonest. They take advantage of anyone who doesn’t know much about getting work done on their car. It’s infuriating how they operate, and it feels like they have no respect for their customers. Do yourself a favor and stay far away, there are much better shops out there that actually care and won’t try to scam you.

Went there for a Ac diagnosis 245$ when I got there mechanic moved my car and blew a hose from power steering pump all in all cost me 1300$ for ac to work one day,then when I got there to pay he shows me a part and says well this is an extra 10$ also I cant give you warranty cause we feel like your as ac unit is compromised,after they had already told me it was a compressor then charged 199$ to remove a hose to go get a new hydraulic hose I had to buy myself 2 blocks away,cause the guy at the desk was so adamant that the hose was so special just a bad experience through and through you pull up in a nice ride and the carnival starts will never go back again

After a long drive with about 2 more hours to go, our air conditioning went out. The condenser was damaged after hitting some road debris. It was close to the end of the day, however, Joe was very helpful in identifying the issue quickly and told us he would try to get the repairs completed before the weekend. We didn’t have expectations of a quick fix but to our surprise, he called us the next day to tell us it was done! Such exceptional service and very reasonable too!!

Texas Auto Repair and its staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable. They will go that extraordinary effort to help diagnose any issue youre havening. Also if its not a service offered. They will refer you to a shop they would trust for their own vehicle. The man Joe is a wonderful shop owner. Hes extraordinary with his knowledge of auto mechanics. I find Joe a wonderful shop owner. He really does go that extra mile. Hes upfront with his prices and will not do other work unless you give authorized permission. Theyre not a rip-off type of shop. Love this man Joe. Will always bring my vehicles to Texas Auto Repair and Joe. I even refer my family and friends to his shop. Wonderful customer service. Clean and friendly staff. Love love this man Joe and his staff. I absolutely love love love this shop!!! I have been taking my vehicle to this shop for years. The staff is friendly, honest, reliable, and fast. I leave the shop satisfied knowing that I trust this company working on my vehicle and they always get the job done right. I highly recommend this place. They are very convenient with time. Joe at the desk is such a blessing to the business. I also enjoyed my conversation with him while passing time while my vehicle is getting fix. The shop/waiting area is very clean as well. Apart from having a very good facility with excellent tools and machinery dedicated to cars, this workshop has an excellent work team.Mr. Joe, owner of the premises, attends you with quality, responsibility and excellent communication. They evaluate the car until they find the problem and the solution.The prices for the service seemed reasonable to me, so as a local guide this has become one of my favorite workshops.100% recommended

I brought my truck to Texas Auto because I read so many great reviews from customers who had repairs done here. I explained my problem to Jose, we had a look, and he knew what the problem was right away. The work was done a lot faster than I was expecting and my truck feels like new again! The communication was fantastic, I knew exactly what to expect and when. The price was reasonable and fair as well. Im very satisfied with my experience here.

If you are in Baytown, TX and need work done check them out. The most sincere manager I have ever seen at a mechanic shop. He is honest and up front with you. He pointed out something that a dealership messed up on. Im driving away with the parts replaced at the dealerships cost, all thanks to Mr. Joe.Such a great person. He saved me $478!Will definitely be going back.

My experience with Joe and Texas Auto repair was exceptional. These guys got both of my vehicles fixed up with great speed and professionalism. Joe is very responsive and keeps you updated through the whole process. I highly recommend this shop for any repair needs.

I took my car in because my engine is making some noises. Joe detected where the noise is coming from. It was my timing belt and tensioner. Joe changed out the timing belt, serpentine belt, and along with some other parts, too. He did a complete kit on it, and used high quality parts on my car. He really did an awesome job and professional work. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable and very reasonable price. Also the service was fast. I got my car back within a day. I really appreciated Joe. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs some auto repair done to their vehicles.

Its so hard to find an honest mechanic that isnt just looking to milk money out of you when youre in a squeeze, but the guys at texas auto repair are the ONLY honest mechanics I have found Im baytown. They got my truck fixed up and ready to go and saves me a ton of money which will help my family put so much! Ive already recommended them to a lot of people, theyre the only place Ill be going to from now on.

Texas Auto Repair came highly recommended by my coworkers and Im grateful for the recommendation. They were able to work with me while I tracked down the correct parts needes to replace my front end struts and were very honest, helpful, patient and efficient. They went the extra mile to help me obtain pictures so I could return the struts that were too short for my vehicle and took care of my inspection as well. Im grateful they were able to work me in and were very up front and professional throughout the service. Highly recommend for others, however they are first come, first serve so best to get there as early as possible.

Came in thinking I had major issues based on the quote of another auto repair service but these guys took the time to look over my car and were honest with me with their explanations. They didnt try to up sale me or rattle off any techno jargon, they told me exactly the issues I was having and only fixed what actually needs to be fixed. Very professional and I recommend them 100%!

Joe in the office was extremely helpful and polite. He answered all of my questions and helped me figure out a repair plan based on priority. The service was excellent, repairs were done quickly, the price was very fair, and they offer a warranty for their work. I will definitely be back!

Okay let me start off and say. Just moved in the area and decided i was going to do some business locally since im new here. If could give this place 0 stars I would. So I get there and the bald clerk guy (morning shift)behind the desk started inspecting my truck. Mind you No engine light or lights on my dash. Gets out of my truck and told me everything passed, but because of my rear tires my inspection failed. Mind you my rear tires still have thread and were not bald at all or balding at all! Then tells me that after I take care of my resr tires I can come back and get the inspection for free. Ofcourse! its going to be for free because I already paid for it! So I then get to the dealership i work for, like i should have done! And it passed without any problems at all! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE, THIS GUY WILL LITERALLY WASTE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. IF YOU ARE IN A EMERGENCY SITUATION IN GETTING YOUR STATE INSPECTION DONE, DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND STILL CHARGE YOU FOR DOING NOTHING. 0 STARS FROM ME THOSE $25.50 IS THE ONLY MONEY THEY WILL BE GETTING FROM ME. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. SMH.

Friendly service. Knowledgeable staff. I was quoted a price and time frame for replacing the shocks on my truck. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call after an hour saying my truck was ready. Was quoted a 3hour work time work was do e in less than 1.5hours and my truck rides great again.

I took my truck here as my engine light was on and it was time for inspection and registration. They did a great job repairing my vehicle. They were friendly and I was able to get right in and get my repair done quickly. They even did my inspection and were helpful referring me for some minor body work I needed done as well.

Took my 1970 Chevy Caprice to replace all the bushing and front end alignment. They did an excellent job and finished ahead of time.Joe the Manager is very professional and a great guy to work with.Totally satisfied with their work and customer service.Manuel R.

Outstanding service from Texas Auto Repair; My A/C failed on my 2012 Nissan Maxima. Texas Auto Repair diagnosed the problem, replaced the parts, and had the vehicle back to me within 48 hours. They replaced all the major components of the A/C system for a fair price. I definitely recommend this shop and I will be using them again for all my automotive repairs! You guys have a great team! Horrible experience the Man Behind The Desk is rude and disrespectful. Takes advantage of women that arent very knowledgeable about automobiles. If you get your vehicle diagnosed there he charges for Diagnostic even if you get the work done there. All of the other shops that Ive ever experienced remove the cost of the diagnostic if the work is completed at that location. He charged over $500 and didnt even fix the car. And what the shop hours required for the job that was done was only 1.5 hours and he charged for 4+. So hes definitely dishonest as well.

Best service and great prices, and while you wait for your car to get done, theres a barbershop next door for a fresh cut walk-ins welcomed

My ABS light and my brake light is on and my car was making a weird noise. They were extremely helpful and were able to describe the problem to me and we’re even able to get my car and it drivable condition right before our weekend vacation would highly recommend!

Texas Auto Repair diagnosed an A/C problem for me, they were honest telling me that the compressor was out, I liked that they did not use remanufactured parts, they didnt just give a price to replace the compressor but explained the need to replace the drier the evaporator core in order to get the full warranty up front not waiting till they were into the project, I had cheaper prices but no one offered to do the complete job up front. I will continue to use this company for all my vehicle repairs. honest and up front-hard to find in car repair!!

Joe at Texas Auto Repair is a delightful fellow to deal with. He knows what hes doing and does not try upsell services you dont need. Since we moved to Baytown 6 years ago weve been looking for an honest repairshop. We found it. One small complaint that kept this place from being perfect. 90.00 to get your vehicle codes scanned is unrealistic and over the top. With so many places scanning for free these days, Texas Auto Repair owner might want to re-think this pricing. Especially if youre having your repairs done there.

They couldn’t fix the AC of my Ford Focus. First they told me they were gonna do a diagnostic for $115 and I said yes. Later when they were done, they told me they don’t know about electrical. So I ask my self what kind of diagnostic did they do other than just visual. I guess their thing is just mechanical and nothing more even though is a shop that offers all the services. I’m disappointed cause I waisted time and money by going to this shop.

They checked out my AC system , checked for leaks, re-filled with proper freon and didnt over charge or try to run up the bill. I was real pleased to find a shop for maintenance work that is honest and wont rip you off

I brought my car in for a complete rear brake job ( replace brake cylinders, turn drums, replace wheel bearings all new springs and brake shoes). Done quickly and saved money. The wheel bearings are sold installed on a new brake drum. What a deal. They reduced the quoted price.

I went up there on wednesday. The mechanic told me to bring my car in friday and he would put me at the top of the list for Saturday morning. This is my wheel bearing on my tire so it wasnt safe to be driving. I toik it up there exactly the time the mechanic told me and when i got there he said he couldnt do it until Wednesday. He straight up lied to me and was very rude. I will never bring my business there again and will let everyone know what he did to me not to go there. Overpriced also

The man joe seemed very informative at first but after he checked my compressor told me my compressor was good and that it was probably electrical but he doesn’t do that there so he referred me to a place that does after I left his shop I went to autozone to change the air filter in my car the ac was working fine as soon as I changed it I go home later that day park the car and take it back out the next day as soon as I get in my ac is not hot but it is neutral I uninstalled the air filter to check it out it back and lift my hood the same place the mechanic put his machine on to check no longer had caps he says he told me where they were to put them back on as if the mechanic was unable his mother should have taught him to put stuff back where it belongs so he could be a better mechanic I fixed the issue as he proceeds to lie to me I am a 23 year educated women who fixed the problem better than the mechanic I suggest you do not fall for his image he tried to uphold he is a liar and did not know what he was talking about tries to give you information accurate or not to develop a relationship but check what he says because it is not always true watch out he will talk all day about nothing he has done this multiple times to my parents vehicle I do not recommend him unless you can literally make him shut up and just fix it whatever it is

This money hungry Soo called mechanics charged me $440 to change an oil pressure sensor on my srt 8 i talked to and other mechanic in Baytown off Alexander and he said it should of only been $150 for labor and like 60 bucks to the sensor ..My good people in Baytown trust me don’t go there!!!!

Amazing service! They are no BS type of people and know how to find the source of the problem. They test things out before they charge you. You don’t have to wait for any type of appointment for them to give you a diagnostic and if you arrive early you’ll probably have everything fixed quickly!

Slammed my Jeep into a curb after “Snovid” winter storm. Brought my Jeep in on a SATURDAY at 11am and they had it out by 2pm for an alignment and replacing the tie rod. This was definitely something I needed done ASAP and Joe made it happen! Thanks again!

I highly recommend this place... called day before to get a quote on replacing both axles on my lexus... they took my car in the next morning and it was ready by lunch. Nice people, professionally run business.

Really honest. I knew that it was great when I seen the restroom. Only informed me what was wrong... when I was thinking the worse. Parts and labor warranty one year with unlimited miles shocks, struts, and stabilize bars.

This place was a second opinion for my daughters car. They saved us over a 1000 and the car runs real good now. We will be taking our cars there from now own.

Joe was so helpful and knowledgeable about the major issues I was having with my cars engine and helping me fix it when no other mechanic wanted to. Now my car runs great again after so many years!

In July 2017, Seneca went out of his way to keep us from being stranded on vacation. He fixed our van on a Saturday afternoon right before July 4th. We drove all the way back to Georgia with no issues.
