Polite staff. First two inspection places I went to were closed. Glad I found this location. Quick inspection.

Quick service and good prices for oil changes.

I moved here from out of state and got my car inspection here. Manager was there and very friendly. I told him I had to get to an appointment in a few minutes and he made sure they got me in and out in under 15 minutes which was fantastic.

They started working on my car, knowing just from looking (over size rims custom suspension) at it that they wouldn’t be unable to correctly aligned my tire proceeded to hold my car on the lift and do nothing with it for over an hour and then after they started working I need it only took him 10 minutes to finish. proceeded to joyride my car just for me to get the paperwork back saying they couldn’t alignment and they still charging.Don’t take on a job you can’t do and waste all of our time!

Beware before you have worked done on your vehicle at this location. The receptionist wasunprofessional and was not helpful. I was never told upfront of any cost relating to diagnosticsor repairs and labor. The receptionist stated that she would notify the head mechanic and Iwaited until he was available; even the head mechanic did not mention the costs to at leastdiagnose the issue.They started work on my vehicle before asking me for approval or updating me of what theissue may be after I provided a brief description of what the car was doing. It ended up being abad radiator and a defective thermostat. The total cost of repairs ended up being $893.61;parts- $399.64 Labor- $461.00and diagnostic check-$120.00. If I had been given a price range upfront, I could havesearched for alternative mechanics to complete the repairs for less amount. I do feel like I wastaken advantage.

Absolutely love going this shopThe owner is very knowledgeable and upfront about the possible issues regarding your vehicle. Been coming here for year for oil changes and now general Maintenace on my Jeep and he is always honest about the damage/ price or warranty my car has. Front receptionist always friendly and has good customer service as well.Never feel taken advantage here.

Im updating my review, but not changing my opinion. I am still using their company and still nothing but positive experiences.Been a customer since around 2006, my only complaint is that they no longer are open on the weekends.I can never say enough good about this location on North Main. My daughter will bring her car here from Aldine area rather that trust another mechanic. When I told her to speak to Kevin, she said she remembered him, and he was the reason she was bringing her car there. She also remembered the owner, she said he reminded her of a character in a movie, so professional and kind. True to my experience with them, when she asked about replacing both sides, Kevin gave her a quote, but advised her that it was not necessary, since only one side had received some damage somehow. Many shops would jump at the opportunity to take advantages of a young, inexperienced lady. Well worth driving out of your way for the peace of mind, knowing you will be treated honestly. Continuing kudos guys.

*updating my review* Ive been here now on and off with 3 different vehicles over the last 5 years. Kevin and his team have been nothing short of awesome every time. Im happy to give this shop my business whenever repairs are needed or just a simple oil change/maintenance needs done. Theyve always been thorough and answered my 8 million questions I typically have. I always do my research and not one time have they ever overcharged me or said it was something it wasnt. I seriously respect the honesty and because of that I recommend this shop to the people I know personally often.Got an oil change, it was only $35 for the basics. Only took about 35 mins and they were busy.They let me know I have an oil leak and quoted me a good price to fix it, also a very good price quoted to fix the timing belt. I found my shop in Baytown! *adding to review. I have brought the car in for a few things now and theyre pretty reasonable about the price to repair it. Best part though is not having to wait days for an appointment but the ability to get it done quickly. Thanks again yall.

My car needed several repairs and I took it here to get looked at and worked on. They are very kind and professional and explain in a way for even those not as well versed in car language to understand what is needed to be repaired and why. What is urgent and what is less urgent etc.My car needed multiple repairs. For breaks I was able to wait while they worked on it, and for the bigger repair that needed a whole day I left the car with them. It was extremely courteous of them as well to give me a ride home so I did not have to arrange one.The rates are reasonable and the work is done right. I will start using this place for all my repairs. Thank you for the great service

So this place takes good care of us. I know that when I pull in for services, Im getting an honest assessment of my issues. That they care whether Im safe out on the road. I appreciate that my go-to place for service is an honest place.

Took vehicle in to get an alignment and oil change. Got in quick. They were upfront with their prices. No b.s. Work properly done and in a timely matter. Cant ask for more from a company in this day and age.

Went here for wheel alignment on my Challenger and they’re able to get it done without having to schedule an appointment. Great customer service and straight forward price without unnecessary diagnosis of parts that work and function properly unlike some other shops. You can enjoy watching tv while waiting for your car in their waiting area which is conditioned with plenty of chairs.I liked their pens which had some F1 cars on them, that’s something interesting.I would recommend this shop, give them a call, they’re very friendly and helpful.

One of their main mechanics, Kevin, was recommended to me 15 years ago, I have taken my cars there ever since. I have always been treated fairly, my vehicle repairs have been prompt. The employees are friendly and professional. I highly recommend the location on North Main.

Been going to this location for 10 yrs or more for inspections. Always fast and nice folks. Never used for repairs though (I have my own mechanic), but also never had any issues result from the inspection (like mysterious stuff breaking). I dont know any of their names but the so chick receptionist is always nice and explained how to do the new stickers when they changed so well for me when I was totally confused. Great people

Took the wifes truck last year for alignment and was great. Repaired my super duty front end and took it for alignment. Said I needed repairs that had just been checked and werent needed. Was going to take the wifes back, but not now.Update: Owner called to follow up with me. We set up a time to take the truck in while he was there to personally review with me. Bearings were good, but ball joints on driver side did have play. Let them replace, it cost what he said and in the time he said. Will be taking the wifes truck now.

Spoke to Stephen and Chris to inspect my vehicle. In no time I was out of there on their busiest day, Saturday. I had gone to 3 different inspection places in town and 2 were closed while the one across the hospital stated the manager was not conducting inspections. The fourth on my list was this one but proved to be the Best! This will be my go-to place from now on. Thank you gentlemen for your service.

Mom taxi puts a lot of miles on my cars, and these guys do an excellent job keeping my vehicle on the road and running in excellent condition. Friendly, fast service, even with extensive repairs and hard to find parts. Been a customer for 10 years for a reason. Theyve done a great job and earned every one of these stars.

Express Lube a 2500 N. Main is one of the best kept secrets in Baytown. From the time you walk through the door your are met with a warm caring smile from the receptionist Karen. She is amazing, great customer service always sets the tone for me when dealing with a business. I explained my problems with my vehicle and right away she called Kevin the shop manager to talk to me about my concerns. I explained to him that I took my truck to another shop prior to coming to Express Lube and Inspections and they made the problem worse. Kevin reassured me that they would have me back on the road in no time. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything they would be doing and gave me the pricing upfront. Kevin informed me that they also offer a military discount, so recommend this place to all that have served. With in a few hours they diagnosed the problem with my vehicle and gave me the options of what need to be done. One thing they suggested that I needed to replace my air filter. The significance of this is that I had already planned on changing it and purchased it prior to bringing my truck to the shop. I declined the service and told Kevin that I would change out myself, I have one on the back seat. When I returned to pick up my truck Kevin had his mechanics to change out for me at no extra charge since they were doing the work anyway.I am really impressed with all the mechanics at this location. I did not get to meet the owner Moe, but from the climate of this location you can tell he is a great person to work for. Thomas and Zeke are two of the other mechanics that I met here and they both very friendly. You can tell they love what the are doing by just watching them as they work. There is definitely a since of pride in their work.I am a native of Baytown and I have passed by this place a million times but never gave it a second look because of the name Express Lube and Inspection. Many of these places like this have been known for ripping people off. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a chance and I am very happy that I did. I recommend if you have a problems with your vehicle you stop and see Karen, she will take good care of you. Her team of Moe, Kevin, Thomas and Zeke will make sure you are well taken care of at a fair price.

My 2011 F-150 wouldnt start. I had it towed to Express Lube and spoke to Doug. I told him that I suspected the fuel pump was bad. He assured me that he would diagnose the issue and let me know. A few hours later, he called me to let me know that the fuel pump was fine. My spark plugs were the issue. They easily could have told me that my fuel pump was bad and I would have bought a new one. Luckily for me, Doug and the rest of the crew at Express Lube are honest and knowledgeable. After replacing the spark plugs, my truck was running again. However, the computer was still showing that my fuel mixture was too rich. Doug told me that it could possibly be bad fuel injectors. if that was the case, I was looking at a hefty repair bill should I choose to fix it. When I went to pick up the truck, Doug told me that he found the real issue of the rich fuel mixture. An air valve had gone bad and was stuck open; and that was causing the computer to pump more fuel into the engine than was necessary, and replacement was on its way. It only took a few minutes for the part to arrive and Doug to have it installed. That cheap and easy replacement part did the trick and my truck is running better than it has in all of its 185k miles. I believe a good mechanic is worth his weight gold. If youre worried about getting taken advantage of or getting ripped off by a mechanic, definitely bring your car to Express Lube. I cant recommend it enough.

A young man named Cauis did my oil change and inspection. He was professional and very knowledgeable about my car. Prices were also reasonable.

I always use Express Lube for any maintenance needs. The owner has been a friend of my husband’s family (who used to own Mateo’s Moonwalk in the parking lot next door) for years. They are down to earth and super friendly. The new receptionist/front desk lady is extremely bubbly too! They even explained how to change my own air filter, by request, in case I wanted to do it myself the next time. Great people, fair prices - love it!

We took our vehicle to their shop and explained what the issue was; we have a Diagnostic device call a Fix on our car already.The head mechanic became agitated, rude, making a show in front of other customers. Almost refusing to work on our car because of the device on our vehicle. He finally agreed to work on it and said it was labor intensive repair. Then they gave an exorbitant price to fix the vehicle, and we paid it. Then the front lady ignored us and was on her personal phone until I got her attention. I will never go back, now we go to Anthony’s Auto where they treated me kindly and with respect.

This is my usual goto spot but my wife has her spot down the road. I stopped at her place, no inspector. Stopped at Take 5, no inspector. Came here, to old reliable, and of course, they have 2 inspectors. I decide to get my wifes oil change as well, and boom, guess what? No wait time. Just doing it all at the same time. Ive never had to wait here. I do come early in the morning so I dont know if that has made a difference. I love it here. Amanda, the receptionist is always a pleasure. Moral of the story, go here, and also, your wife isnt always right.

I had a misunderstanding about the price for my service that was done to my car. But receptionist and manager, Kevin, assisted me without complaints or hassle. I am from Michigan, but was in Texas last week with my engine overheating. A friend in the area recommended Express Lube and Inspection. I am so thankful for that shop. Kevin rocks! They did a radiator repair in one business day for a great price and saved my vacation!

Before bring my Volkswagen to the shop to be repaired on the AC. I was having problems with the battery. When I went to pick up the Volkswagen it wouldn’t start. They told me that it needed a new battery and they had check the alternater it was fine. They went beyond on the excellent service.They have excellent customer service.

Only so long as the manager Kevin works there will this be my mechanic shop. Ive already told him he is to notify me if he goes to work somewhere else. He makes sure your car is taken care of right and does NOT rip you off, in fact, he is fair. Ive never had an issue, and any repairs they did were always on par. This place charged me 1680 bucks to totally replace my AC system in my 1986 Chevy C10 stepside. The power steering belt was backwards and most of the hoses were not replaced because I was told they were flushed and in working order. I think this place is way over priced, I will not use them again!!!

Was told it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait to get an alignment. 2 hours later there was still 1 car in front of me. Found a different place to go. 2 stars only because the staff was friendly.

Ive been having my oil change here for a while. I had no problem until today. My driver window for a fact worked before I dropped it off, I went to go pick it up and now all of a sudden it stopped working? Anyways some guy was called over and he said that it has something to do with my car, and he said it was the motor blah blah. While I explained that it was not like this when I dropped it off, he proceeded to say that when you can afford it its an easy fix. !?!?!? Just really rude and lying people. The receptionist is great but never taking my car again. I wouldnt come here.

These folks are friendly and do a good job. They do all type of mechanical work. Took my truck in for a check engine light. Replaced the C. O. P. Coil over plug and the spark plug and problem not solved. Did this my self. Told them everything I had done and the shop manager suggested a compression check. Turns out that the truck has t cylinders with low compression. The problem is in the valve train. Good call on the shop manager.

No one likes the idea of auto repair, but when it happens to me, the folks at Express Lube have always come through. Theyve been courteous and have always kept their word to me. I believe them to be honest and competitive with their pricing as well.

I just got my state inspection done and the receptionist was the best and sweet! Then as I’m sitting in the hidden part of the waiting room the manager comes and is rude to her and I hear him being rude to the other employees outside as well. It made me not want to give my money to this establishment if they can’t even treat their workers better! Find somewhere else to get your cars done and don’t support a business that doesn’t care about their workers

Basically lied to me about wat was wrong with my car!!!! Only 1 thing he told me wjat was wrong with my car was correct which they tried to over charge me on that work!!!! Then they told me something else was wrong which costed 1700.00 for them to do!!!! And when I went got a second opinion what they told me what was wrong was not even messed up!!! I will never bring my car to them ever again!!!!!

Everything Ive needed done by these guys has been done well, quickly, and quite reliably. Inspections, alignment, general questions. Its a great place. I will be back as often as I need to.

Years ago I spoke with the owner told him I was a truck driver on the road and wasnt around to work on my wife and kids cars myself. We had multiple vehicles and He had 1 shot to get all my business. That was around 15 years ago. Our kids are grown. And we all still go there.

Good service until I found out that they dont change my oil filter. It was the same one from a couple oil changes ago. It was leaking and filthy. Ridiculous, will not go back.

Not everyone can change the oil in an F450. They dont have the lifts or space to handle the weight and size of the truck. This place can. I always bring my own oil and filter as most quick oil change places do not have the proper oil and never have the proper oil filter.

This place used to be good have been taking my cars there for years the service used to be a lot better when Moe was there but it seems like within the last few years been going down Hill employees are dishonest and try to charge for stuff you dont need

Horrible, I brought my car for an alignment and they tell me that my car no longer wants to start. I brought my car walking and I have to take it with the tow truck. Be careful when you come to this place. I dont recommend it.
