Expert Air came to my house same day that i called and installed my new system 2 days later. Dylan Baker was very professional, not to mention patient because I know nothing about AC systems. The installers did a great job. Would recommend 100%.
Technician Julian Tapia arrived on time, introduced himself, and I showed him the location of the furnace. Julian went to work testing and adjusting the heater and its elements. He spent 30-45 minutes testing and adjusting the unit. Julian showed me the units air filter and recommended replacing it. I totally agreed and had a new filter available that I had purchased a few months ago. On completion he showed me pictures of the unit and explained the importance of the different colors of the gas flame. I was totally satisfied with his work and his explanation of the details. Also, with his technical knowledge and work ethic.

I want to request Conner for my future appointments. He did a complete check on my furnace and kindly changed out my filter that I had purchased and unable to do myself. Most individuals his age do not like being around or having conversations with old folks like me, he was extremely friendly.
So we moved in our house two years ago and the lady that owned it before us used expert air for her units. So I continued service with them.I paid 209.00 For a yearly service where they come out every few months and clean everything and check and make sure everything is running correctly.They came out the middle of august to do a serviceThe first part of september I started having problems with my unit. It was shutting off completely. I called the company and they came and checked everything and said I needed another capacitor. Paid 254.00The technician changed the capacitor and left my home. An hour later it was shutting off again. So we call them back out and the technician says that its dirty and the guy that did the service did not do it correctly. And thats what caused the capacitor to go out.So he cleans everything and leaves. I contact expert air and ask if they can give me some kind of credit Or partial refund because I had to replace the capacitor because he did not do his job and they told me no. They claimed the technician was incorrect and it would not cause the capacitor to go out.Fast forward to last week. It started shutting off again and getting very hot on the unit outside. We call the technician out again. And he says there is a valve in my attic That needs to be replaced they controls the freon. He said the pressure of the freon was fine. But they couldnt figure out anything else that could be wrong. He called several people on the phone. And thats what they came up with but he never went into my attic. The cost was going to be fifteen hundred dollarsWe call to get a second opinion and the company comes out and checks my units. The original company, Expert air, Installed the wrong capacitor on my unit and was causing it to overheat. It also was causing the fan to get very hot. And I may have to replace it at a later date. This service call and part was 366.00I pay this new company to put on the correct part.I call expert air and i explain Whats going on, sent them receipts with explanations on the invoice.They refuse to do anything at all to help. Said they will be issuing no refunds... at The very least, I feel like they should refund me The 254.00 dollars I paid for the wrong capacitor. As an adult and certainly as a business owner, If you make a mistake you own up to it. I Paid for the years service but will not be having them Come back to do any servicing to my a c units. And that was 209.00. I did ask them if I could have a partial refund for that Because I do not plan on them coming back out because of these issues and was again told no.I did make a complaint to the BBB. Not sure if anything will be done. But wanted to warn people about what kind of business this company runs And how they treat their customers. I also reported them to their licensing boardIm not discouraging anyone from using their company. But want people to be aware of the service That I received so if you choose to use them, unless you know what to expectIm BEYOND upset with this situation!
I was pleased with Dylans easy going but professional manner. He is straight forward and courteous. Very respectful. I believe he has found our problem which has eluded others in the past.
Would not recommend they have been back several times since installation. They claimed I had a power issue going to the unit. I payed an electrician to come check out power issue after the electrician checked power the problem was not on my end at all it was within the unit the installed.Also had another issue with unit not putting out any air. Had multiple techs on-site just to be told the fan was set where it was supposed to be. 6 months later they sent a new texh out and he turned the motor up from the low setting. The work we received from these people was piss poor at best they kept saying its your air filter.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
The tech was very thorough in checking the furnace and he was very patient in answering my questions regarding our HVAC system.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The fan motor went out on our A/C unit. The tech came out and said it was the capacitor which he replaced and charged us for the capacitor plus an additional $120 for a “Gold Member” program without even asking us if we wanted that. The “Gold Member” programs is supposed to warranty the repairs they make plus a few other things. Replacing the capacitor didn’t fix our problem so then he replaced the fan motor, which was the problem to begin with, for a cost of $1,200 for both parts and installation. However, when checking the Freon pressure which was fine, he damaged our Freon valve and it no longer contains the Freon. This company now wants to charge us more money to replace the valve and recharge the unit with Freon, even though it was the technician’s fault that the valve was damaged. This company aims to rip people off.
Julian performed the annual furnace inspection on both of the heating units and provided photos of components that were noted in the report.Julian also provided suggestions to improve the AC unit reliability with overflow protection devices which were not provided with the original installation of the units by the builder.We appreciate the service which Julian provided to us during his visit.Thank you very much!
We love this company! They are always on time or early! The workers are friendly and fantastic. Spring maintenance we got Joe Johnson. He’s been to our house multiple times for maintenance and when we had them do our total replacement for AC, he made sure everything went smooth! Always fantastic and never and issue from them. They are local and great! They also come out asap or anytime if you have an emergency!!

My husband use to be a sheet metal mechanic and built metal duct work from scratch. He also assisted his father with the sheet metal and air conditioning services in the 1960’s. He can verify the technical and sales staff at Expert Air were “excellent” when they replaced our air/heater system in August. We also recommended our son to use Expert Air to replace his air/heater system a few months ago. Both of our families highly recommend Expert Air.

AJ was amazing, very helpful and very honest, weve had him check our AC system for a couple of times and he is very professional and explains everything you need to know about your unit. This is our to go company when we have issues and they had done a great job. They also have a yearly membership that will give you discounts and they go out to do maintenance on your unit for free twice a year. It is very convenient and I highly recommend it. Weve had NO complaints at all.
Expert Air always does a great job. Very professional and respectful. Our technician took the time to explain how to set the thermostat for humidity control. He did a very thorough inspection of our system and gave me an update. I would highly recommend Expert Air.
Really sad when you try and take advantage of a 78 year old woman. Whole house ac system installed less than 3 years ago by Expert Air. AC stops cooling so I (her niece)call them out last week. Technician said evaporator coil in attic was out. Coil was covered under warranty but would still be $1200 for Freon and over $3100 for labor. Really! I had 2 other companies come check and it is not even evaporator coil but the REVERSING VALVE in the outside unit. With warranty and Freon replacement it will be around $1800 to replace. Really Expert Air !!! Will be reporting you to the BBB

Nick came to our home to do a check on our a/c unit. He just happened to notice that our furnace was not hooked up right by another company three years ago, and carbon monoxide was venting into our attic. Our technician was Austin Dravetsky. Austin was very courteous and easy to talk to. I explained an issue dealing with the airflow to our master bedroom. He made some adjustments and now the airflow to the bedroom is much improved.
1st. Review:The technician that arrived was courteous and seemed professional. However, now we have to set the thermostat 6-8 degrees lower for the temperature we would like it to be. The problem before was we would have to set it the same amount HIGHER.2nd Review: 7/16/23This review is to change my 2 star review to 1 star. The upside is one of the technicians that has come to our home several times for adjustments / repairs has been a pleasure to work with. His name is Evy Alday. But that is where the good ends.We recently bought this house and our real estate agent recommended Expert Air to replace the old 5 ton a/c and heating unit. I called and was told a 5 ton Daikin air handler (a/c) and heat pump to include required parts such as a drain pan, 4 media filter, thermostat, etc. at a cost of $15,875.00. That price seemed high but we accepted and continued. Installation with three men for removal and installation took about a half day and there were issues that I pointed out to the salesman that wrote up the quote.We continued to have problems with the thermostat. That is in my first review.In addition to the thermostat problems the a/c quit working. I would like to point out the unit was only 3 1/2 months old and this was July 2nd. (2023). We called Expert Air and they sent out a tech. and he found the problem to be a bad circuit board. After the tech. got off the phone he told my wife and I that his operational manager said they will pay for a hotel. We declined the offer because we had a small (5k) a/c in our bedroom plus we knew it might be difficult to find a decent motel on the 4th of July weekend (to include accepting our dog). We were contacted a couple days later and were told the circuit board was going to take longer than expected to get. They reneged on the motel offer. We were in our unairconditioned house for a total of nine (9) days. Baytown Texas area. B.T.W. a/c does okay...when its working. Avoiding Daikin and Expert Air might be wise.
Joe was very helpful. Explained and showed me pictures of everything that was wrong and the solution. Checked to make sure it was still under warranty. Scheduled the next step and did a temporary fix to get us thru the weekend with cold air. Great job.
RUN! The tech was nice however, he spent 5 minutes to change a 40 dollar capacitor and charged my wife $416.00! (I have changed it several times over the life of the unit, but was out of town). I cant make this up! I called the office and they put me in touch with the technician, I had to ask was the price correct, he said yes sir and Im sorry I dont set these prices, you could tell he was embarrassed with a lot of guilt in his voice, I actually felt bad. He didnt even go over the pricing before he installed the capacitor. Just slapped her with the charge afterwards! This is robbery and I suggest you find a business with morals!

Expert Air recently added dehumidifiers to our HVAC system. The result has been tremendous, better air quality and an environment that inhibits mold and bacteria growth. Ive conducted business with Expert Air for many years, actually started back when it was called Cox Air Conditioning. Their employees have always been very helpful, professional and empathetic to my service needs and scheduling. I am especially appreciative of the quality service performed by their technicians, like Michael Cross and Brendon, as well as their office staff, like Brenda.
Technician (Swade McKnight) was friendly and professional. He researched my heating settings and reset them as I requested. He explained/show me pictures of what he did. You cant go wrong if Swade shows up to work on equipment.
Ronnie Rains came out and spent a great deal of time with me carefully explaining things and doing a full heat load test. I had met with multiple other companies for bids, so by the time I met with Ronnie, I had a pretty good handle on what I needed and why. I still managed to learn many useful things from Ronnie, and though his quote was on the higher end of the ones I got (they ranged from $5000-$12000 - his being $10,000...but all comparable systems between $10-12k), I thoroughly trusted Expert Airs guarantees and knew from the pictures of previous projects and excellent company reviews on all sites, plus their willingness to provide me with copies of their license, liability insurance, and owner-signed personal guarantee letter over and above everything else in writing, that I was getting involved with a good, honest company. I got a 12 year parts AND labor warranty, plus a one year test drive warranty that guarantees my 100% satisfaction. Ronnie came and spent the day yesterday with his crew and the install was superb. They went above and beyond for me, even replacing some damp plywood decking and buying a cover to patch the hole in the wall left behind from moving the old thermostat. After one day with the unit, Im thoroughly impressed. I plan to post a review again in a few months (if I can remember), but if you dont hear from me - youll know its still going good. Honestly, give these guys a call. Compare them to four or five other companies you call out. Youll see the difference right away!

I was very impressed with the way he took the time to photograph all the steps in his process, he showed me what he did and why. Very impressive and professional . I highly recommend the service of Expert Air Cooling and Heating. My upstairs AC unit wasnt working and I called for help. They scheduled to have a technician meet me at my house on a Friday evening and Jody the service tech. found out that the coils had frozen over because of being under pressure. The unit had to be completely turned off overnight to thaw and Jody came out the next morning on a Saturday to make the necessary repairs. He did a phenomenal job and was a complete professional providing me with great customer service in a timely manner.
Jessy Dennis was 100 percent wonderful. He fixed my problem in about 10 minutes and the cool air was flowing again! I signed up for the routine maintenance program in a split second because he explained all its benefits in understandable terms. He cleaned my system in the attic and the unit on the outside, giving me helpful hints. I called early in the morning and they came out the same day, in the heat of the summer! I cannot say enough about this business and Mr. Dennis. Great job!
The Service Tech, Rik Dubuisson, was very polite and efficient. He did not seem to be in a hurry. I have used Expert Air several times and have been pleased each time.
I had called to get a tune up and after I made the appointment the AC stopped cooling completely. I called to let the tech know that there was a deeper issue. He arrived about an hour early - much to my pleasure. The compressor was not engaging and I thought the worst but Juan was able to replace a couple of capacitors along with the tune-up. Very happy with price, and the technician. I will refer them to my friends and family.

We had our air conditioning go out on a Saturday morning. Eric came out later that day and was able to accurately diagnose the problem and have it fixed in less than an hour! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! We will use this company again if and when we have any problems!
Last Thursday, our A/C unit went out so I started searching online for a company to call late in the evening and found Expert Air. They had a technician out within the hour. Chris was great and very friendly. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do for the old unit -- it was a goner! He did get in contact with Ronnie who came out the very next day and walked us through what all needed to be done to get the new unit. On Tuesday, the crew was there bright early and worked all day to get our new system up and running. They were very friendly and very hard working despite the horrible heat.It has only been a couple of days since the new unit was installed but at this point, I am very pleased. The customer service from this company was outstanding from the lady who called me back to schedule the technician coming out, I apologize but I do not remember her name, I believe it was Jerry, to Chris the technician, to Ronnie the sales rep -- all very kind, friendly, and helpful. .
I had a new system installed (A/C & ductwork) last year by Expert Air. It worked okay. There was no follow up after installation to check the flow and explain filters, etc. Today Garrett Banos with Expert Air came to service the unit. He took the time to check every register, found some that were closed, and explained the filtering system and what was needed for maximum efficiency. He explained the extended warranty (which I purchased) to me and worked in the attic for a long time to find several small leaks. My house is colder than it has ever been, period. Thanks to Garrett for the extra efforts, it has made a huge difference!
A J Witt was the absolute best. He called before and gave an estimate on when he would arrive and was on time. We went in to the attic and he diagnosed the problem correctly. He gave suggestions as to how we can reduce the algae build up in the line. He was very professional and was friendly during his visit. He is an asset to the company.
Triple A, Triple Plus!! 💯 Thank goodness for Expert Air Baytown!!! Mr Cox and his team swooped in and woke us from our 2 year long nightmare caused by another ac company. After we explained what was going on, Mr Cox completed his observation. Come to find out the other company lied about replacing our dehumidifier! There wasn’t even one up there!!! Our supposedly 5 Stage system was a 2 stage and needless to say, it wasn’t installed properly. The ducts weren’t the correct size either. We now have the correct size ducts, a dehumidifier, additional plenum(s), an awesome air purification system and it‘s all installed and working correctly. (: Living on the bay with all this great humidity, we need to do everything we can to keep the hot, thick and damp air from destroying our homes and everything in it. So, thank you all so much for everything! We are blessed to have found you guys!

My air conditioning went out at my house and our regular repair place could not give me an estimate of when they could come out. So, we called ExpertAir.Our technician, Chris Cotter, was FANTASTIC. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and did everything he could to get us up and running again.Now, ExpertAir is our regular repair place because we can trust they will do everything they can to keep our family comfortable on these hot Texas days.
I definitely recommend. I work nights and woke up to a non-working AC unit and 80 degree temps inside my house. Chris Cotter with Expert Air came out within an hour and got it back up and running in no time. Mr. Cotter was very polite conscientious about keeping my gate closed so my dog wouldnt get loose and patient with the explanations. He offered me options on which way to do the repairs and explained how to make it less expensive and how that would effect my system. My unit is really old so I am hoping to upgrade it soon anyway, I know now who I will be calling come that time.

Be aware of this company they can rip you off big time. Yesterday I placed a service call my ac unit was not working, the kick starter in the compressor was bad, Jessy Dennis came over to check out and gave me an estimate of $603.00 I got the kick starter at Johnson Supply for $26.79 installed this morning 10 minutes job an my ac is working. Please do not let this guys take advantage of you that is suffering in this hot summer. Always google for troubleshooting and parts prices, God bless you.

I’m typically not the type to write reviews but don’t want anyone else to experience what I did! I really Don’t have anymore time or energy to waste on this company! But , Save yourself time, money & headache! We had the absolute worst experience on a complete AC install with this company! Very poor craftsmanship, VERY RUDE owner and No pride or integrity within the company! So glad they came and got their unit out of my house
I volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and these guys did a good job on the HVAC in our latest house so I thought Id give them a shot at total system replacement in my house. Keith Cox gave me a bid and it was $2K less than one of their competitors on a low end system. My home is very well insulated and we have propane for a heat source so we dont pay much electricity even in the hottest part of the summer. A high end, super efficient system doesnt make sense because the pay back would be too long. Anyway, I gave them the job and they showed up on time, did a great job with the installation and cleaned up after themselves. I used to work as a general contractor and I want things done my way and some contractors dont take kindly to my intrusion into their business. These guys bent over backwards to do the job the way I wanted it. Even relocated a couple of ducts so that the entire attic unit could be moved over to allow more walking space. I never had a Trane unit before so well see how that works out. Shouldnt be any problem as it comes with 10 year parts and labor and these guys have a good reputation for service.
A/C was not cooling due to it being frozen so we gave this company a shot. Best call EVER! The operators were super friendly & concerned even so late in the afternoon. Said the technician was in the area and would be by soon - not even 15 minutes later JESSY shows up! He fixed our A/C with some troubleshooting and even told us how to take care of it in less than an hour. Myself, my fiancé, my 6 year old daughter, my 2 cats and dog GREATLY appreciate yalls FANTASTIC customer service!!

Our technician Michael V. completed our heating maintenance. He was very thorough and changed our filter. He answered my questions and most importantly was on time.
Would not recommend them. But gave two stars instead of one, because they did diagnose properly.Had them do routine inspection of my system and they found A/C issues. But while they explained why they recommended some pretty major repairs to my system, they tried to upsell and convince me to replace other major components that had no apparent problem. Asked for a bid from them, but was essentially told they dont like to give quotes so that people put them in competitive pricing situations.Let them do some of the seemingly minor work initially, while getting bids for the major repair they recommended...and in fairness, they seemed to correctly diagnose. But still paid a sizeable invoice for coolant and part (later found to be double the amount that other contractor would have charged for same thing).Ended up using different contractor that completed the entire job (all parts, installation, and coolant recharging) for less than half the estimated price from Expert Air.In short, rather than getting service, or a simple offer for what you need, I seemed to get sales pitches for things I did not need. Rather than getting competitive pricing, I overpaid. While I cant question their expertise, I do question their pricing and tactics with customers...particularly those with little or no knowledge on HVAC. Buyer beware I guess.
Lisa, the operations manager, is excellent in solving difficult situations. She helped me with my repair costs and I an thankful for her professional assistance.
Brian arrived on time. Not only was he knowledgeable about his work he show respect for us and our home by doing a good clean job.He called to our attention things which may help cut down on the cost of running the heating/cooling system but also fixed a problem which helped with dust control.The cost was very comparable to other companies.
Oh, my goodness! I DEFINITELY recommend Expert Air. Our A/C went out. We called one company and were told our compressor was out and we would need a new unit. We wanted a second opinion...the next company said the same thing - a new unit because the compressor was out. Thankfully, we then called Expert Air. They agreed that the compressor was broken, but thought a part could be replaced and it could be fixed. Lo and behold...it works!!! We do NOT need a new unit at all. I am so incredibly thankful!!!
A week ago my outside unit was hit in the storm. Contacted Expert Air because my AC wasnt working I set up an appointment for Friday with Chris Cotter he was very knowledgeable and explained everything that was causing the problem. Would definitely recommend Expert Air Cooling and Heating

Work was top notch!, But it quit like 3 times and could never get them to show up!, Pretty sure it was a personal thing against me!, The last time I called Youngs A/C and they got it going again and cost me $165! Avoid! Finance Co they use is a Rip Off!, Im done with them!

April 2014, Expert Air installed Full Whole House A/C, Gas-Heat, Duct Work replacement, and talked me into the Carrier Infinity (I choose the SEER-17.0) with all new modern Controls. I was very hesitant to invest in a complete system with many bells and whistles because of my lack of understanding. I was told up front the new system will run more than the old because of Carriers Humidity Control design, and they were correct, it does. Since Apr.2014, I could not be More Pleased with the Comfort & Control the Infinity provides. In addition, my electric bill compared to previous year is 70 -100 dollars LESS per month. This is Houston,TX, daily 90-100 + with 90-100% + humidity June-Sept. (We Use Our A/C) I still have original single pain windows, and I keep a constant temp at 73 day, 71 night, 48-52% humidity in a 1800 Sq-Ft home. My only regret is I didnt spend the extra money and go with the highest SEER.22 plus, but live & learn, right. Giving 2 stars based on the fact that they did clean my unit as requested but their estimate to replace the AC unit was twice the amount I got from 4 other local AC companies in Baytown. They seem too pricey as if they didnt want the job.

Called them out to fix my AC at home because it was messing up. They said nothing was wrong with it and charged me $89. It stopped working completely the same night they come over, and they came out a days later because they were booked up. Then they charged me $300 to replace a $30 themostat on the wall, and told me I would not be refunded the $89 because it wasnt really broken when they came out the first time. Will try out Young Heating & AC next time.

Went here looking for a contact for my central ac. They was very helpful and normally do not have people show up here. They are basically a call out service. They did have the part. It cost more than the same part was online. They pointed me to another bussiness right up the street where i picked up the same part for half of what they would of sold it for.Mind you, this place does not normally sell parts to walkins. So it was pretty nice of them to point me to thw right place.

Hurricane Harvey hit and a lot of homes had ac issues. Expert Air thinks its ok to charge $400 for a $100 part. I had to have the part so i paid. If you want a company that price-gouges you at your lowest, then THIS IS THE PLACE!
