We have used Gorman Mechanical for many years but we found out just how little they care about their clients the moment we had an issue with their service! Our HVACs were installed by them in 2019 and when one of them got clogged and dumped out onto our attic floor and flooded our ceiling in a closet we had them come out to inspect. The technician they sent out told us (thankfully we recorded the entire conversation) that whoever installed them, installed the pans incorrectly and that is why they dumped onto our ceiling! Gorman was at least 2 months behind schedule with our spring service and would have caught the clogged lines in plenty of time before it flooded our home if they had not delayed that service. (They have never kept very good track of that service even though we do pay extra for the annual service.). After sending them the video and photo evidence of what was found the owner asked to send another tech out to evaluate the units. The owner told us that the technician that was sent to our home “didn’t know anything” even though that tech said he had 40 years of experience and Gorman had hired him! The new tech showed up at our home randomly one day without an appointment but we let him in to check it out. He of course was told to keep quiet about the incident and said very little except repeated what the owner told us “probably” happened Instead. The owner was going on vacation and asked if he could call us when he returned. Maybe he died because I never heard another word from him🤷🏼‍♀️. Two weeks went by and I sent a message to the manager giving him more than 48 hours to agree to our terms for the repairs. (They have had over a month to help us with a resolution!). We asked them to pay for the Sheetrock repairs and we would pay for the carpet. We asked them to replace the plenum which busted because it held so much water for so long and to tilt our hvac units forward which was recommended by another hvac company (HART HVAC, who was really responsive and great btw!) we had out to inspect the units and give us an unbiased opinion of how our units were functioning. They also recommended adding two additional float switches since the water was never able to reach the float switches since the pans were not level. The total amount for repairs was less than $2,000. We have spent $40k on new units and repairs to multiple homes over the past 5 years and Michael, the owner, could not even be bothered to respond to our request to help cover half of the damage!! Unfortunately we had to file a lawsuit today against this company and we have never had to do that with a vendor we have been doing business with for 10 years!! Sadly, it isn’t until they were asked to accept responsibility for damages they caused that we realized they never cared about our business at all!! I would never recommend this company and instead, HART HVAC will now have my business for years to come!!

Charged $432 for a thermostat replacement. Part charge was $363. Service call was $69. My husband should’ve realized what the issue was but failed to—he’s a retired electrician. Guess he was stressed when the AC went out. Thermostat is $120 on Amazon. Will NEVER call this company again. Our screw up for calling them. It WONT happen again. Rip people off during tough economy.

Gorman installed 2 4-ton variable speed units in our home for 40% less than the cheapest quote I received from the other two competitors. Everything was installed professionally and worked smoothly from day one. Two months after installation, one of our units stopped functioning due to a clogged drip line. They sent someone to our home to fix it within 3 hours of my calling them. Top notch service, products and pricing!

Setting up the appointment was easy and Michael is a superb sales consultant. He was able to give great advice on what we needed and what to expect and look out for even if we didnt use Gorman. I got 3 quotes and Gorman was much better not only in a great price, but also personality. Everyone I interacted with during the process was professional and very courteous. Connor and Austin installed the unit and did an outstanding job and were very careful to explain what I needed to know. Its obvious they take pride and care in their work and dont rush to finish. Did a thorough inspection and advised me like it was what they would do if it were their system. Suggested options more than oops !! you need a brand new system . I have used this company on and off (mainly off) for 10 years. Finding commercial refrigeration companies that work on walk in freezers is difficult. It always takes the techs at least 3 or 4 trips before they actually find the correct issue, but in the meantime they have replaced or fixed items that were not broken. I never get the same tech back, so they are always not up to date on the issue. I called them today to come back and fix the same issue they have been here 2 times before and have charged me over $3000. The final straw was they told me it would be over 2 days before they could get back to my issue. Do not use this company!!!

I have an uncle that needed service on his HVAC. He asked a company to come out they cheated him of some money. I called someone I know in the Ft. Worth are and they recommended Gorman. The technician came out and assessed the problem. They fixed the issue in 2 days and all they needed was to add Freon. The other company wanted to sell him a motor for $3,000, for less than $500 my uncle has a working system.

TLDR: if they show up, they are great. My experience suggests if west of Fort Worth, look elsewhere.Used them when I lived in Grand Prairie. That experience was 5 stars. They replaced original system and did yearly maintenance. Great to work with.I moved to west fort worth, our system with our new house was having a problem and the installer (not Gorman) was jerking us around. Because of my experience, I contacted Gorman. Never showed up, never called. I called them and setup another visit, same thing. The system finally failed around the 4th of July, it was 90+ in the house so we went to a hotel. System was ultimately fixed by another company.Called to setup visit for an ac check-up. Agsin, no show, no call, but this time, they sent me a link for the review.

I had several friends tout their a/c guy. I contacted 2 and neither one would quote refrigerant replacement. I called Gorman again this year and they cheerfully gave me a per pound quote and hourly rate over the phone. Connor arrived on time, checked out my system, said all was ok. The condensate drain was clogged and the system shut down. He fixed the drain pump temporarily and ordered a new one on warranty. All for the cost of an hours labor. Cant tell you how many times Ive been ripped off by repairmen in the past. Stick with a reputable company. Call Gorman Mechanical, Inc.

Heat pump quit cooling. Called in the morning. Service call was made in early afternoon. the outside temp at 109. Found and fixed a capacitor causing the problem. Back up and running. Tech was helpful with failure info and provided cleaning tip info. We ask about any seasonal checkup program they offer and signed up. 2nd time getting good service in 3 years.

Coincidentally ;P Our AC broke the day after Gorman came out to do the season check/preventative maintenance. Then began a 6-week saga during the VERY HOT summer of 2022 where we went without AC for 6 weeks from mid-June until late July. I called regularly requesting an update on the status of the parts they were ordering. I asked for other creative fixes or any other ways to get our AC up and running again. Every time I called, they told me someone would call me back with an update, a quote for cost, etc and NO ONE EVER called us back one time. If I didnt call them, they didnt call me for 6 weeks. Finally, we found another company who would get us a coil from another manufacturer and have it installed the next day. So, we did that. I had asked if they could use other manufacturer parts and they told me no, there was nothing they could do but wait for the part. Now, its been a few months and I cant get them to return my call to refund my money (over $200) for the maintenance fees we paid for this year since we will NOT be using them ever again, and weve been told multiple times that a manager would call us back. If I could give them zero stars I would. Wed previously used this company for years, but it was always for regular maintenance. Not broken ACs. And when we actually needed them to do some work for us, they ghosted us. Just overall, horrible customer service, and they are happy to take your money for AC checks, but dont help you when you need it.

We adopted Gorman from our homes previous owners purchase of a Trane unit with a transferrable warranty. They have been out a few times to assist with maintenance on a faulty thermostat/sensor free of charge under warranty. Most importantly as a first-time homeowner, Josh has been a tremendous help to me in educating me about my system and how to maintain it properly. Josh just performed duct work today for a very fair price and I always feel very confident Gorman has done a great job when he comes out to my service.

I am glad we decided to get a second opinion. I can’t believe that we would be lied to about our unit being out of refrigerant and that it must have a leak. I would definitely try to do better at the next home and not try to replace system when they don’t need to be replaced. I have been using Gorham for yearly HVAC check for many years now. Additionally, Two yrs ago they installed a new 5ton Trane my current Trane was over 20 yrs old but was starting to need more repairs, it lasted over 20 yrs. Gorham has passed many tests for honesty & good customer service and has professionally addressed any issue that have come up to my satisfaction. I don’t recommend lightly and I do recommend them forMaintenance and new installation.

These guys are crooks. Shoddy installation. Hung the unit crooked so condensation built up, ran over and caused damage to the ceiling below. Gorman would never call me back. 12 months later the new unit went out and we had to replace a part which was covered by warranty but we had to pay a new company for installation and $600 for Freon. Total cost $1600. The new company said the unit went out because of shoddy installation and spent a couple extra hours cleaning up Gormans sloppy work. They showed me the difference in their work when they finished. The two guys were truly disheartened to see Gormans work because he gives people in their industry a bad name and cause distrust for the consumer. An early sign something was to be wrong was the fact the installation crew didn’t clean up their mess. Along with dozens of screws and small metal pieces etc laying around there were around 20 drink bottles thrown around in my attic. Some thrown into the adjacent insulation and some tucked inside storage boxes I had in the attic which indicates they were opening my boxes to dispose of an empty water bottles. Do not risk business with them.Ps. Almost forgot. I found out from the new company I bought a 2 1/2 ton unit from Gorman and he installed a 2 ton air handler. So that translates to the air handler not being able to push all the air from the unit into the home. Thank you Mr Gorman for all the trouble and money you cost me along with the disrespect of never calling me back. Attached will be a copy of my invoice as proof I’m an unhappy customer.Pss. Week one of all this we spoke with a former acquaintance of Gorman and mentioned the problem and that we were waiting on a call back from GORMAN. The gentleman said he knew Gorman well enough to tell me he was not going to call me back and was so right in his prediction.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - THEY DID NOT OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKE!We had our unit serviced in May of 2023 for air conditioner shutting off and breaker tripping.Approximately 5 - 6 weeks later, June 18, 2023, we had issues again, this time the unit not cooling. The technician that came out this time discovered the air filter in the unit in the attic was COVERED in dust and debris. He opined that this should have been discovered during our May service call. Our June service call was no charge because the technician acknowledged we did not get the service we paid for in May and actually said we should get a refund for that call.Now my unit needs a $5,000.00 repair and I am certain that had the filter been looked at and changed, we wouldnt be in this situation.The company will not take responsibility and implied that WE HAD TOLD THEM WE HAD CHANGED THE FILTER, we didnt even know our attic unit had a filter! Were not in the A/C business and everything we read says the clogged up filter would have contributed to the issue.

We have used Gorman Mechanical for our Air Conditioning and Heating system servicer for almost 30 years. They have serviced existing systems, installed new systems, replaced systems they installed in prior years, and even provided a custom designed zoning system within the existing HVAC system to handle an overly hot room housing computer equipment that had to run 24x7x365 and not affect the surrounding rooms in the house. During the years we have progressed from regular thermostats to smart thermostats and finally to programmable smart thermostats. The technicians have always been prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, resourceful, and not afraid to tackle any task we provided.At the end of June 2022, we had a plumbing leak under our foundation located behind the two heat pump condensers. To fix the problem, our plumber required that the two very large condensers be moved so the digging crew could tunnel under the foundation. Gorman Mechanical responded within a day to pump down the system and move the units. At the conclusion of the plumbing work, the technician returned the next day to move the two condensers back into position and restore service to cool our house. We were truly grateful to only be without cooling for 3 days, particularly since I was recuperating from back to back rotator cuff surgeries. Our established relationship with Gorman Mechanical allowed us to request and receive such timely service.We have also had occasion to use the weekend after-hours service for the unit in my very elderly aunts house where excessive downtime could have been life threatening.Gorman Mechanical should be your HVAC servicer.

Avoid this company at all costs. I used Gorman for other repairs because they were included in my home warranty for my new home purchase. Well my heating went down in the middle of January so I gave them a call to come look at it since they were familiar with my system. They sent two techs to look at the system and it took them about 45 minutes to tell me I needed a new blower motor. They quoted me $1,150 to replace the motor including labor.I decided to get a second opinion from a more well known company in Fort Worth since the quote seemed a bit high from Gorman. One of the technicians from the well known company arrived and figured out the issue in about 3 minutes. It had nothing to do with the blower motor and was a small coil fix of about $170. The tech even showed me the system and explained that the blower was fine and showed how it worked if he bypassed the coil.Save yourself some money and go with a different company before you overpay for something your system doesnt need.

Gorman Mechanical was recommended to me by my past client, who used them and had great experience. In July 2018 one of my A/C units stopped working. I called and scheduled an appointment. I was very happy they came out the very next day. Their technician checked all of my 3 units and found the problem. I was given two options, one was to try to fix it and second to replace the whole unit. I chose to replace the whole unit because it made more sense to me. They came in a day later and installed the unit. Professional, accommodating and on time.I really like that. A month later my other unit started to fail, I was worried that I will have to replace yet another unit. Thankfully they were able to fix it because the problem was not as big. Small fix and Freon addition. Overall Im very happy with their services and now I forward their information to all my friends and clients whenever they need HVAC pros.

Great experience with Gorman! We had a new system installed as our previous one was quite frankly on its last legs going on 15 years. With summer around the corner we knew we had to make a change and Gorman was there to help.They’ve actually been our twice a year system check company as well and kept our old one running over the years. A few times they could have said it was time to change or “found” things wrong but they’re not like that. We thought we were doomed last summer when our system quit and prepared for the worst but it was just a simple capacitor which they changed out and bought us another year.Because of this, Gorman was really our first and only choice when it came time to make a change. If you ever could say Wow about an A/C company this would be the time. These guys came out to the house assess the problem. Explained it in terms that anyone could understand. They showed us exactly what was going on. Pictures as well as visual for the areas we could see. They gave us several solutions. Some we liked some we did not like. Then the service guys came back out replaced our unit. That was the solution we did not like due to the cost. Even then they worked with us.They were very very courteous cleaned up very well after themselves. It was just nice to actually have a company that has great customer service especially now days. I really dont think I could ask for better communication.

David, the sales representative, called me this morning in response to my two star review which I have changed to a five star review. David expressed empathy to my perspective and desire for someone to listen to my concern and acknowledge that there was validity to my concern, the warranty does not cover those types of incidents, which is explained below. David, responds arrived in less than 24 hours. That itself was sufficient however, David went above and beyond. He has since sent me an email thanking me for the time to speak to him and notifying me that as a courtesy he nullified the $65.00 service call fee. To me that is going above and beyond to maintain great customer service. In our conversation, I sensed a sincere concern to attend to the customer as well as for his companies reputation which is critical in any economy where some companies feel the customer demand is so great that a response to a customers grievance is not necessary.Here is the initial unaltered post to add clarity to this whole situation.I have had good dealings with this company. They have come to repair the system they installed once since the initial installation around July of 2015. Today, a service man came out because my system would not turn on. The repairman discovered the cause almost right away. It was a float. Apparently this device clips on to the side of the drain pan. So, I will end up paying $65 for the service call. Tim, who is the representative that I spoke to was generous to not charge me the additional $50 for the labor. However, here is where I believe they could have been more interested in providing better customer service. First, I trust that the technician that is dispatched to make the repair has my best interest at heart. So, here is the situation. The root cause my air condition would not function, is because this float that is clipped can be knocked over by me or a square if one decides to climb into my attic. So, instead of fastening the float back in a more secure fashion such as using a sheet metal screw or solder, Andie just clips it back on. I did not have a good visual image of this at first. It was after this that Andie mentioned the service call fee. I got a quick lesson on warranty coverage and this is not covered. Okay, I can accept that however, Andie was about to leave me in the same potential situation as before. Which is for the float to be accidentally knocked off again. It was after this that I called to speak to Tim. I admit I wore his patients and he wore mine. Instead of addressing a fix to the potential issue he was more concern that I was to pay the service call and he did not charge me the additional labor. I realize he may have no idea what we were talking about however, he never once said anything like, Oh, I see your point, let me look into if or how we can avoid this from happening again The Andie, also did not recommend any remedy to help avoid the float from being knocked over so easily. Im not expert, however, it seems to me that one or two short sheet metal screws would help. I realize they did not engineer the system but they could at least offer to look into improving the system. When I ask Tim if I could speak to his supervisor, his response was No because his boss is the owner. Well, I may not every get to speak to the owner, unless he reads this review and if he does, I would be happy to explain the details. In any case, I did not pay the $65.00 but I know I am obligated to and I eventually will. I hope if nothing else, if you have a unit installed, beware and check the float first before your call the repairman.

My warranty company has sent Gorman to my house multiple times over the last few years. Until last year, I also maintained another group, Air Squad, until they themselves advised not keeping both. I was concerned doing so,until my latest event. Last night, I discovered my upstairs outside unit was not coming on, and called Nations. Within hours they had called back and advised Gorman would call me the next morning. About 8am they did... AND advised they could come outtoday. By noon Stacy, their tech,was here and already working to evaluate the issue. After a thorough investigation, he took the time to not only walk me through my issues, but advise me on future consideration. The after hours repairman said that my Goodman HVAC Heat Pump was low on freon. He put in 3 lbs and charged us $250 per lb !! That was not the bad part, not long after his leaving he left a ground wire disconnected and then the unit shorted out and was and now DEAD !I have had to use them more than a few time over the past few years and they have ALWAYS overcharged us!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

We started off having a very bad experience with the tech sent out from Gorman Mechanical. A manager David was supposed to make sure everything was taken care of properly. Shorty after, the next tech came out we were still having the same problem. I was told if I had any issues to reach out to David. When the air went out shortly afterward, I reached out to David and was told he was just the service manager and to call another number to see if someone could help.After another day without air, another tech came out and things were left in a dangerous situation and not fixed. Part of the equipment (a shroud) which is a large piece was not even put back, electrical wires were left sticking out, bolts not secured and more. A new company had to be sent out. We were told the other tech damaged our equipment, left pieces out and didn’t properly replace the fan motor etc... which caused other blade issues and more problems. He said someone could have gotten serious hurt or worse with the wires left out. In addition, the huge drain line charge we paid for recently was not done properly since it had to be done in the attic line to clear things. We were told it wasn’t done which we also observed how it was done by Gorman and today. There are parts that now need to be ordered and we have been left with major problems and no air again. We have elderly and people with health issues in our home. This has not only been terrible service but poor quality techs who did not do their jobs properly and caused more problems. I found out last night the AC in my house was not cooling, so called my2-10 Home Warranty to claim the situation. Did not have to speak to anybody, they recognized who I was and logged my claim and gave me a referral number within minutes. SWEET!! I hate automated services but this one was right to point questions and was told GorMan Mechanical was assigned my claim and I should receive a call within 24 hours to schedule an appointment for service.I got a call within 20 minutes to schedule my appointment window between 11 and 3. I told them I had a client appointment for 10 and was not sure what i will be done so could they move it to 12 and 3. The sweet lady on the phone explained that the window schedule, and she will call me closer to it and if I am not available we could reschedule.PERFECT DEAL!!! I finished my meeting and was home by 11:30 am and got a call from the sweet lady and accepted the scheduled window. 12:15 pm Mr. Stacy, a very charming man walked in diagnosed the AC and explained what went wrong and what can fix it......While testing my AC i was curious to know what the problem was so I hung around. Mr. Stacy kept up with my conversation on different subject as he worked and made sure all sources to the problem was diagnosed before he came to final solution. I purchased 2 new Trane variable speed complete systems from Gorman Mechanical. My first 5 ton unit was a great install and thats what convinced me to install a 2nd unit for my upstairs and this is where the issues began.The unit did not perform at all and they spent the better part of 3+ months trying to fix and ended up replacing my inside air handler and thermostat; which did get the unit working to its best ability. This is when I learned that they sold me an undersized unit and as per my salesman that Trane doesnt make 1/2 size units so they were going to upgrade me to a 4 tons unit because my previous unit was a 3 1/2 ton. 10 months later the upstairs unit continues to struggle to keep my house cooled and the relative humidity to a comfortable level. My old 15 year old unit ran better than this one.The 2nd issue is Trane only provides a 2 year labor warranty, so I purchased an extended labor warranty to match the 10 year parts warranty. To this date I have not received my extended warranty paperwork for either Trane unit that I was sold over a year ago.Gorman Mechanical service and dispatch department have been very responsive and helpful but when it needs to involve the service manager or owner they are non existing.

5 Star Review for Gorman Mechanical. Our 20 year old AC died. Rather than patch it back up we decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new unit. After 5 bids we selected Gorman Mechanical. They had the best price and lowest pressure sales process (Michael). They installed our 5 ton 16 SEER Trane system the very next day. The installers, William and Robby, were fantastic. They let my kids talk their ears off all day and even cut a door into the huge cardboard box for them to play in. I couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend Gorman Mechanical if you have AC or furnace needs.

Stacy was our tech, we signed up for the annual maint plan for our 2 units. He was courteous, efficient, showed and told me what he found, ie a dying start capacitor and old contact points. I had him go ahead and replace them, before waiting for the system to quit because of it as I much prefer preventative maint as to failure and a hot house.They will be back to replace a rusting drain pan, and he told me how to contact my home warranty service thereby saving me about $200 bucks, by routing it thru nations home warranty first.Excellent experience, much better than Reliant, who I tried last year and felt like I was being ripped off.Gorman has my vote and Stacy was greatthanksDr Ron Hawkins

Dont use this company. I had them come out to my house to do some warranty work. My house was not cooling in the heat of the day but would cool just fine at night. When they got there he said my outdoor unit needed to be cleaned for $50 or he would not be able to check the Freon level and get an accurate reading. Cleaning it consisted of washing it with a hose. Afterwards he said it was not very dirty so he would not charge me for it. Thanks. Then he added some Freon to the system. Total time spent looking at my system was about 10 minutes. When I got home from work the house was 90 degrees inside and would no longer cool. The compressor would only run for about 2 minutes before shutting off. Now it squeals and runs rough. I went from have AC most of the day to not having it at all. I called them and asked for my money back and they said because I signed the receipt that it was cooling when they left they cannot refund my money. Of course it was cooling, it was early in the morning when it runs just fine. Dont use this company.

I had our downstairs unit replaced by Gorman Mechanical. Upgraded the unit to an energy efficient 2 stage system. Very happy with the Trane system and the installation. I had the upstairs unit replaced by another company two years back. I see day and night difference between the installation, the details Gorman Mechanical pay attention to and professionalism. They also gave me a good price, compared with the competition bids I received. They also adjusted the air flow issue in my upstair rooms while they were installing the downstairs unit.- A happy customer.

Im going through lot of torture with Gorman Mechanical and AHS company. My A/C unit broke 3 weeks ago (in this peak summer heat in Texas) and Gorman Mechnical has still not done anything about it. They gave me one diagnosis and sent another one to AHS (per AHS) two weeks after coming to my home, so what needs to be replaced to fix the problem is NOT approved yet so far due to differences in the two different diagnosis. I have already wasted 3 weeks calling them and still dont know how long this is going to take. So frustrating!

Gorman responded and installed a complete new unit in less than 24 hrs On A Weekend when we were in the 100s.I purchased a Trane unit for my upstairs. I had purchased a Trane 3 yrs earlier for my downstairs without one moment of problems.Its inconvenient in general to not have air or staying at home to have technicians there, but office, service, install and technicians have been Great.

This is formal complaint regarding Gorman Mechanical. The first week of April 2015, we realized our upstairs A/C unit was dead. We called a local company who came out, tested, and determined the unit was indeed dead and needed replacement. We received an estimate for a new unit, and were encouraged to get a 2nd estimate for peace of mind from another company.The owner of Gorman Mechanical lives in our neighborhood. Based on that fact alone, I contacted them and asked for someone to come out to take a 2nd look, and to receive an estimate on a new A/C.An employee came by, diagnosed the problem, and also determined the unit was in need of replacement.On April 2nd, 2015 (Good Friday) we agreed to have Gorman Mechanical not only replace the the broken A/C unit, but to also replace our 2nd unit as well as our furnace. As we were completing the paperwork for financing for the new units, the employee from Gorman Mechanical stated that we could receive a rebate from our local electric company (Tri-County Electric) of roughly $80 per ton per unit, for a grand total of $800 in credits for upgrading to high efficiency units. Being that it was a holiday, we could not call our electric company the day of installation, but stated we would do so on our own. We moved forward, and the new units were installed.We left for vacation the following week for 10 days. Upon our return, I called Tri- County Electric on April 20th, 2015 and spoke to a representative as to how to process our rebate. The representative stated they had NEVER offered such a rebate. The only rebate on new units that had ever been offered was on heat pumps.I called Gorman Mechanical the same day and asked for a call back from the man who sold us the new units. He never returned my call.I made a 2nd phone call on April 21, 2015 and was able to get a hold of the employee. He said he would look into the rebate issue and call me back after I explained what Tri-County had told me. He called back and stated he could get us a $300 maintenance rebate. I told him that was not was offered on the date of sale, and he jumped around the question repeatedly and tried to place blame on me for his mistake. He made excuse after excuse. I asked to speak tot he owner of Gorman Mechanical, and gave him my husbands phone number.On April 27, 2015, my husband finally received a call back from the owner of Gorman. They spoke for 10 minutes, and my husband instructed him to call me as he had a business meeting to attend.The owner called me and we spoke for half an hour regarding the issue. He apologized, and said the $300 rebate would be processed. As of today, June 8th, 2015, that has yet to occur, and all contact from Gorman Mechanical has ceased.We have made three phone calls to Gorman Mechanical and asked to speak to the owner regarding the pending rebate in the last week. He still has not returned our call.Do your research before hiring or doing business with this company. They make false promises to gather a sale, and then dont follow through. Communication AFTER sale, is non-existent. Bottom line: THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.Please go with someone else. We are neighbors of the owner and weve been treated this way! I can only imagine how they treat the general public. Once you sign on the dotted line, they are done with you. Well be pursing legal action regarding the matter.

Gorman Mechanical took care of me when I had to 3 ton AHU that were not cooling. They found that the evaporator coils were corroded and leaking freon when my home warranty company sent them out to diagnose the issues. I was able to get two new high quality Air Handler Units at a very small cost versus replacement of the evaporator coils. The new AHUs came with a 10 year warranty each so the decision to pay the small extra charge was a no brainer. I would recommend this company to anybody in the future. Very prompt, professional, and courteous.

Shady business practices! Called them out under my home warranty. They came out and told me there was a leak in my coils and that the whole system would need to be replaced.I had a second company come out that used a machine to test for Freon and there was no leak. They cleaned my coils and added Freon and my unit was working perfectly again.DO NOT TRUST THEIR DIAGNOSIS!

AC was leaking water from my supply plenum so called my home warranty and they gave me several options so I chose this company based on the reviews.Tech came out on 6/22 said it was due to a clog in the primary drain line and he cleared it out with c02 and then resealed the plenum up with mastic and said water was draining properly. The next day the water was leaking again through my ceiling so went up in the attic to check it and there was mastic all in my drain pan and floor as well as 4 empty c02 cartridges that the tech said he used to clear the line. Basically left a mess in my attic.Another tech came out on 6/25. He did not take anything apart and diagnosed it as the plenum was sagging badly due to over saturation causing the coil to be out of balance making the water pool on one side. That they would need to replace the plenum and rehang it so they sent to my home warranty (AHS) for approval.AHS denied the claim stating that they do not cover secondary damage and the way the tech wrote it was that the sagging is what’s causing the leak from the original clogged drain. Argued with them about this that it was still leaking from the same place so it shouldn’t be considered secondary damage. I asked if I could get a second opinion as it did not make sense to me. The cost to replace and rehang the plenum was almost $1000I contacted Gorman and spoke with Kelly and asked if they could send someone else out to verify and she said No that there was nothing she could do. They go by what their techs diagnose as the problem and I would need to pay the $1000. She seemed to not care at all as I tried to explain that it was still leaking from the exact same spot. “Nothing else I can do but if you want it repaired to call us back”I contacted another AC company and the issue was that the main drain line was still clogged. They didn’t just try to blow it out with c02 but traced it to where it connected to one of the main lines that water drains out of the house and opened it and cleared it out.I would have paid almost $1000 to Gorman to replace and rehang a supply plenum that would not have fixed my problem. Not sure how they got such good reviews but after having 2 techs come out from the same company and speaking to someone at the office that didn’t seem to care my issue was not resolved.

The technician misdiagnosed a problem with my air conditioning unit as an electrical issue. After having another company come check the issue, it was determined to be an AC issue and was resolved. I called Gorman four separate times to let them know that the issue was misdiagnosed, leaving several voice mails for Chris, the manager (who did not return any voice mails), whose only response once I finally got a hold of him to my complaint was, and I quote, Nobodys perfect.
