We had Mike and Michael from Strand Brothers come out for an A/C maintenance check-up, and they were fantastic! They were punctual, professional, and incredibly thorough in their work. They took the time to explain everything they were doing and provided helpful tips for keeping our system in top shape. The night before Thanksgiving, I received the dreaded phone call from my neighbor that a pipe burst in our front yard. He cut off my water for me and checked inside and when I got home, I went to work trying to identify the source of the break outside in the yard while my wife desperately called around trying to find a plumber on call for Thanksgiving. Strand Brothers came through for us, I genuinely mean that, as dispatch got us an early appointment and Carlos R. showed up before 8am. He was (very respectfully) skeptical that what I identified was the only break, and he was indeed correct. He was able to replace the whole Y junction and meters with higher quality materials in less than 3 hours, and he gave me a better access point for the future. After a long successful Thanksgiving, I just took a shower and I feel like a King. Carlos, if you get to read this, I hope you know how much our family is thankful for you. I give you 5 stars, and Strand Brothers is my first call next time the “bad thing” happens. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Discovered leak at front of garage, which ended up being under slab leak. AB, Race, and Alex were amazing in taking care of multiple issues resulting from that leak. Jan. 2025I needed to have more service performed on my heating system in preparation for a cold front coming in. Cristhian Vazquez was dispatched this time. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. He was thorough in checking to ensure everything was working properly before he left. Once again it was a positive experience for me.Dec. 2024Alex Rodriguez came out and was able to fix my issue in no time. He explained everything he was doing and was totally professional.He even explained how to perform periodic maintenance to ensure proper functioning going forward.He was awesome to work with.

Had Ben and Christopher from Strand Brothers come out for an AC/heat/water heater maintenance check-up. Communication via call and text prior to arrival was great, and the link to track the vehicle was a nice touch. Friendly and professional, they got to work quickly. They offered great advice on how to maintain the units and hopefully extend the life of them. Will definitely call this company once I finalize plans for renovations that require reinstalling the HVAC system!
January 2025 UpdateOf course with the latest cold snap, comes HVAC issues. Wed never call anyone but Strand Brothers.They were able to come same day and detect the problem. Efrain was on time, communicated everything clearly with me and was able to fix our HVAC issues.Will continue to recommend Strand Brothers!_________We have used Strand Brothers for years and will continue to recommend them to our friends and family.Recently we just had our units serviced in preparation for Austins summer of satan. Raciel was amazing. He communicated clearly, arrived promptly, and did a great job servicing our units. He was super nice and even wore covers on his shoes when he came in and outside. After his visit, they sent us a detailed list of what was done, checked and serviced appropriately, including pictures.We also upgraded our systems two years ago to dehumidifier units and I will tell you something... they make a world of difference in the summer time with the heat. Yes, they are a bit more pricey, but we do feel the difference.Thanks Strand for your continued service to the Austin area.
Caleb is great. He is polite, friendly, and professional. He respects your property and makes sure to keep everything clean. During his work, he provides updates on any changes. He came to repair a clogged drain in the kitchen, and as he was leaving, he noticed that I had a leaky line in the yard. I never saw it; it could have been costly if it hadnt been caught. Strand Brothers is very lucky to have such an employee. Curtis was also accommodating, friendly, and professional. I will ask for Caleb or Curtis for future repairs.UPDATE:They couldnt find the leak. I need to speak with management. I am thinking about downgrading my review.FINAL UPDATE:There was no resolution to the issue. I had to hire another company to find the leak and made repairs. Ive talked to management about compensation in January, and it went nowhere. I have used this company before, and it was the first time this has happened. In June 2024, I had another leak in my yard due to the ground shifting. I used another company, a big difference in experience with them.Reviewer, it is up to you if you want to try this company. They are good and have decent service. I left out my experience of disrespect from those trying to find the leakv and the bad attitude that management gave me because I had better experiences other times. Sorry for such a long review.
We needed some annual maintenance on our HVAC units at work. I chose Strand Brothers based upon their great reviews.Thankfully, they had Jose Ortiz scheduled to be our Tech. Fortunately, he discovered several unknown issues to us. He worked very hard to resolve and fix everything he could. We are waiting on some quotes from the office for other items that need to be repaired or replaced. Once we receive the quote, I will request Jose to come back to take care of everything. Jose has gone above and beyond my expectations! He was on the 40 tall roof during the heavy down pouring rain one day and 100 plus degree temperatures another day.Jose is very friendly and informative and gives great customer service. He deserves a Bonus, a Pay Raise and some PTO for his excellent work! He also gets 10 Stars! Thank you Jose!
The customer service was excellent, from beginning to end. I called in my S.O.S. at 8 am and Jose arrived around 1 pm. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem with my AC (yes, in February)! Jose took the time to answer all my questions and he was very professional.
I cant say enough great things about Strand Brothers!I hadnt had any maintenance on my homes system in a while and it went down Tuesday night. Making the appointment online for a next day spot was super easy!Our tech, CJ, got us back up and running in no time. My heat strips went out on my heater during our first hard freeze, and Strand Brothers sent technician Mike Lira out right away. He diagnosed the issue and was able to fix the issue within 48 hours. Mike is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous! He explained everything he did to replace the heat strips. Super cool guy! My house is nice and toasty now! Thanks Mike!

Michael and Mike saved the day!! Our heater stopped working during the coldest couple of days of the year. I called Stand Brothers this morning, and they were able to be at my house by 4. They charge $99 to diagnose the issue, and then for whatever needs to be fixed. Michael and Mike were friendly, professional, efficient and super knowledgeable. They explained what caused the outage and how to prevent it from happening again. They gave me some advice about a UV sanitation program that Stand Brothers offers, and were not pushy about getting me to sign up; they happily sent me the information to look over first. I was very impressed with the service, and will definitely be coming back to Stand Brothers for HVAC help!

Christopher and Michael came today to service my AC and heating, as well as fix an issue with my thermostat. They were wonderful! I have used their A/C services for several years for semi-annual maintenance and check-ups. Amber was hands down the most thorough tech and provided me with an extent of feedback that I had never received before. The services provided were great but her customer service was incredible which is hard to find these days.
Water was leaking from the ceiling due to the AC system and I was able to get a same-day service call. Christopher, the tech, was very pleasant and courteous. He was thorough in his diagnostic check and very patient explaining in detail the issues I needed to consider to fix this system. Amber was amazing. Took the time to check everything completely and provided us the reports on how everything was doing. She climbed up in the attic and changed our UV bulb, which hadn’t been done in over two years. I particularly appreciate having a heads up on issues that we might need to address in future without any upselling or high pressure. They were also prompt and provided a call ahead of time. Alfredo Arroyo recently came to install the new Lennox HVAC system. He did an excellent job. The unit is working fine. I set the unit to 72 degrees. It took almost 8 hours to get to this setting. I am worrying if the unit has an issue, or the sensor of the thermal stat is not working. Alfredo visited today and checked out. Everything is working. He suggested that I leave the doors of some room open to get a better air flow near the thermal stat. I will keep track how the new unit performs during this serve cold weather this week.
Alex Rodriguez was so thorough, friendly, and hard-working. He found the problem, explained it very clearly, and got right to work fixing it. It was really reassuring to have someone really knowledgeable and confident doing the work.

Sam and Christopher (performed the systems check up upon new to us home purchase) Seth and Jackson (installed a few lights in ducting for microbial growth and allergens as well as a new capacitor on the AC unit) and most importantly Naeim ( helped get our new smart thermostats set up and functioning properly) all were very helpful and came up with a plan to get our new to us home up to speed in the Texas heat before next summer. Just wanted to update this review to give a big thanks to Franklyn. I had an issue with a water heater that was installed incorrectly by a different company a couple months ago. He diagnosed the issue quickly and pointed out several other issues he found in his whole home plumbing inspection. I also decided to go forward with a water softener and could not have been more impressed with his service. He was communicative throughout the process and took a lot of pride in his work as evident in his attention to detail in cleaning the work area post-installation. The water softener has been working without issue for a couple months now.Big thank you to the HVAC technician Amber! She arrived early, was polite, and made sure to ask if there were any issues with the system before she took a look. I have a maintenance membership with Strand Bros and she was thorough to inspect all aspects of the system, including a cleaning of the outside units.At the end, Amber explained that although my system is older, it’s working within specifications for now and a full replacement isn’t necessary yet. I really appreciate the honest evaluation.

My heat pump install by Yaikel Felipe went very well. They were prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The installation went smoothly and quickly. I showed them the location of the equipment and they took over from there. At the end of the install they walked me through the network connection and use of the new thermostat and the connection toand use of the mobile app.I am very happy with their efforts.
Gilbert and Ben came to do an inspection of our heat system. They found a small condensation leak and repaired the leak. They did a review of the system and told us all looked good. On time, polite and very professional. We will continue to use Strand Brothers for all our heating and cooling needs.

Strand Brothers completed installing additional insulation in our home. The service men Jesus and Eddy did a remarkable job. The work was completed efficiently and clean up was outstanding. We are very pleased how Jesus and Eddy performed this work.
I had a couple minor gas leaks with oven / water heater and needed service ASAP. Strand sent someone out within an hour +. Technician Franklyn was awesome to work with. Very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and was willing to go the extra mile. Even made my Labrador “attack” dog feel at ease!
I appreciate Sam and Ekzavier coming out today for the season maintenance check of our system. They were friendly and knowledgeable. When Sam asked how everything was going with the house, I made a comment about having more trouble with the sprinkler system than the AC unit. Sam took a moment to check the water pressure and provided options on how to handle the sprinkler system impacted by higher water pressure. They even checked the water heater. Although both the AC and water heater are old, we talked about options and they offered suggestions when are the best times of the year for replacements. I appreciate them, and I appreciate Strand Bros. seasonal service plan.

Jackson explained maintenance needed with my furnaces in detail before work was started to make sure that was a service we wanted. He also showed me the before and after photos of the work done, so we had a better understanding of how our furnace looked from the inside. He was very thorough and professional and we will request him again!
Jackson came to help with my ac unit today. It was a service call and he went through all necessary steps to check everything on the unit. He explained all the things he was checking as well as educating me on how things get gunked up over time and products used to clean the different areas. He was very professional and kind and did a great and efficient job. Because of him I know I made the right choice choosing this company.
I pay $15 per month for the past 2 years to check my AC and plumbing. My kitchen sink started leaking. They charge me around $160 to just tell me that the faucet needs to be replaced, and it cost me an additional $600 for them to fix it. Home Depot says it should be $100-$300 to do! Where was the discount in that. I canceled my services and still have a broken sink that is worse off after they touch it. Im very disappointed because I had to wait for an appointment for 3 weeks and then take off work for the day.
Easy to schedule online. They called about 20 minutes ahead so I could put my dogs up, and the technician was on time. Daniel was great! He let me follow him around and ask questions. Ive had my home 7 years and suddenly it seems like TikTok is telling me Im not doing enough maintenance on my large appliances! Daniel educated me on anode rod replacement and several water softening systems as well, which I really appreciated.They do offer a maintenance subscription thats pretty affordable, but I didnt feel pressured into buying it- which makes it all the more appealing to me!

CJ was awesome today. He was here in 35 minutes as promised and was able to go get a part to fix the heat ignition switch. I was able to continue work and have the repair completed same day. Prices are reasonable and a year warranty is nice!highly recommend

I always enjoy the relaxed, friendly nature (Ben was great!) of our Strand Brothers appointments and trust them completely with our HVAC system. Im on their program where I get free inspections for a monthly fee. Gustavo came and spent 45 minutes checking my A/C and heater. He gave me recommendations to improve the system and keep it running longer. All for no charge. I really appreciate such good, honest service. Thanks Gustavo!
I WAS a Strand Brothers customer for over 16 years until this July. I purchased through them a new HVAC and furnace 6 years ago. Since the first day of installation, I knew it wasn’t right. They followed up a week later and I said the house isn’t cooling properly. They decreed that the bedroom needed a return in it. There was already a return 3 feet from it. I have been on their monthly maintenance plan this whole time too. My house could not stay below 80 degrees in the hottest parts of the summer. They would come multiple times each year and many different technicians, but could never find a problem. Even the service manager eluded to getting a lemon, but never offered a replacement.So, after returning home from a trip in July; my house was 87 degrees. I had enough. I called another company to come out and investigate this problem. In 2 hours the technician found the problem. Strand Brothers never wired the compressor properly and it was only operating on its first stage. There were 2 wires that were never connected.After $13k and years of paying the monthly maintenance plan; they offered nothing to compensate me. They said they would come inspect the situation.I will never give them another penny.
Repair tech had to replace my circuit board in the pouring rain. I might not have been as positive & friendly as he was in the same circumstance. Great guy, thank you Naeim.
Called for clogged main drain line. Pretty easy to diagnose since toilet paper and other things are coming out the top of the clean out pipe in the yard. Scheduler said $ 99 call fee will be deducted from bid. Guy shows up and wants to charge $ 99 fee and $ 450 to clear the line. To clear a drain line they all use a snake to go down the line. Probably would take between 10 and 20 minutes to do. $ 550 for that! Plumbers are making $ 1000 an hour now! BTW, he was 5 minutes from his other job so not like he is driving a long way. Second time they pulled this - NEVER AGAIN

Amber was our service technician today and was such a great representative for Strand Bros. Great at explaining the technical details of the service work (even providing extensive photo documentation of all the critical readings) and was very pleasant to boot. We’ll be requesting her for our next 6 month check-up. So…super company and super too meeting Amber.
When I requested them to have a AC tune up the guys came sold me a membership. I wanted to get plumbing membership and it cost $10. They said it will cover the annual water heater flush which itself going cover by the payment for the membership. When I call to schedule the water heater flush they are saying my membership is only to inspect. What does that mean? These people selling the membership saying stuff that is not covered and I learned my lesson that not checking with the company but believing the guys who came to house. I am not happy with what happened to me. I know as a service provider they are good but they need to think about how they market their membership
Mike and Brian came by for a routine Service visit and were extremely helpful with communicating issues I was having with my HVAC system. They gave me options but weren’t trying to push a product. Really appreciate Strand Bros service.

They explained what they would be doing, answered my questions and even kindly changed out our air filters at the end of their work. Today, Monday 12/16/2024 Franklyn came and fixed the leak in my center bathroom. He did a fantastic job, He cleaned out the floor of the shower stall. Please thank him for me. You’re paying $99 to provide them a platform to pitch their membership plan or a new AC unit.Within 5 minutes of arriving to my house I was being pitched their membership as the only solution to my issue. I called because of a water leak, they had zero interest in seeing where the leak was occurring. It would be an additional $400 to have them look at where the issue is occurring, silly me for thinking that a $99 diagnostic fee would include a diagnostic.I tried to reason with them saying that I’m sure i’d be replacing the units sooner than later, dishing out $16000 for new ac units was not a current option nor was getting locked into a 10 year financing option @ $233/month with their membership included, and if they could please help find an alternative in the meantime. The only answer was to spend $400 now to get an answer next week on how much I’d be looking at to fix the issue. Again, on top of the $99 diagnostic fee, it would be $400 to get an answer around 5-7 days later with how many thousands my repair would cost.I had someone that came highly recommended come by for a 2nd opinion and it turns out my line was clogged and that my pan was cracked. The crack was right where the water was leaking that I initially called in about (that the strand brother team refused to look at within their $99 diagnosis).I called in to speak with someone about my experience and was met with a combative “customer service rep”. I called looking for some sort of resolution and to share my experience, the girl said that there was not a manager available but that she could start an escalation and have someone reach back out when the managers are back in office, but not without her putting her 2 cents in about how she agreed with the technicians. Glad to hear.

I had my HVAV unit installed by another company and have had problems with it ever since. That’s when I turned to Strand Brothers. I have been using them for a couple of years now and I am very pleased. Mike and Hector came out today for a service maintenance and did a great job. Arrived in a timely manner and called when they were headed over. They were friendly yet respectful. I highly recommend this company.

45 days ago Strand Brothers suggested I install a UV filtration light in my AC system to clear up mold and debris. They listed the benefits and I decided to have it installed.The issue here is that they did not inform me of flushing out the system more frequentlyuntil normalized which could be every few weeks to prevent clogging and condensation overflow. Unfortunately, without knowing this, my AC unit began abruptly shutting off.I decided to troubleshoot the problem with my AC unit until I was out of ideas to which I called Strand Brothers out to investigate if there was something mis-installed. It was discovered that my lines were clogged due to the UV light filtering debris out of the unit. I was not informed again that I should be clearing out the lines more frequently and in fact, I was informed I should be cleaning out the line every time I change my air filter. Of course this bit of information came with a $200 service fee. This was very disappointing since installing the UV light caused the back up effecting my AC to abruptly shut off. Now I was out $500 for a $200 service fee $200 + a $300 new thermostat which could’ve been avoided if I was informed when the installation of the UV light occurred. I’m quite sure Strand Brothers have installed these UV lights prior to my installation and therefore would have a known knowledge of this occurring. While I’ve enjoyed my service with Strand Brothers in the past, it’s unfortunate we were not properly informed at installation, and unfortunate Strand Brothers could not waive this service call because we were 12 days outside the 30 day work guarantee, despite the cause and effect situation. This has left a very bad, untrustworthy taste in my mouth.
Always happy with the service of Strand Brothers. Their techs are always prompt and professional. Ekzavier came out for the annual service and was quick, professional, and detailed. They keep us running in freezes and more often than not scorching heatUpdate on 2/25: Amber came out for our free check up and walked us through the system, made sure we were good, and explained it all to our children who were very interested.

Habi and Daniel came by to install my water softener. They were very professional. I barely knew they were here. My only obversion is that some how they need to know what type of install they are going to. They werent aware that it was a new construction and therefore, didnt have the tank to hold the salt.Chase called and told me he was on his way to install my HVAC equipment. He was professional, polite, and informative. Chase was quick.

Excellent work by Gauny Leo and his coworker. The old unit was creating too much condensation, creating a pond which threatened the house and foundation. The new unit was installed farther from the house. It was a big job done well.
01 July 2024New HVAC system installed, 2 stage, 4-ton unit plus new gas furnace and thermostat (I didnt need new thermostat, but the old one was over 20 yrs. old, no extra cost). My old thermostat was easier to program). About six hours plus to install. The installers (Felip, Tino, and Austin) did and nice job with the installation and cleaning up when finished.The new system is much quieter than the old HVAC system. I need someone to explain about inside air fan speed as this system air volume is much less than my old system.Will have to wait to see if 2 stage higher efficiency system will save $$ on electric bill.
Raciel performed the scheduled maintenance for our systems (up and down). He also was very persistent in successfully connecting my phone app to the S40 thermostat that was installed 12 weeks ago. With the changing season, I can now check the upstairs status much easier.

We booked a tune-up appointment to get a quote to have our HVAC cleaned and they showed up with a tech + a sales rep (red flag number 1) and then after spending 90 mins exploring our unit they found a number of issues and left us with a quote for nearly $30,000 to replace our entire system.The next day we had 2 other reputable HVAC companies come out for competitive quotes and both couldnt understand how Strand came to the conclusion that we needed to replace everything. We feel very scammed and misled.

(I’m in Hutto if that helps) I hope they get recognized for this review somehow, because they were amazing! Very respectful, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease about my system. When my AC died last night I called Strand Brothers to come out and service my unit. They took my call and scheduled me for the same day. Efrain showed up for the service right on time and worked on my unit and got it up and running on no time! Not only was he friendly and efficient but he also took the time to help me set the system up on my phone! That is what I call great customer service. Many kudos to Efrain!
Alex Rodriguez was incredibly helpful! He showed up, realized my problem in less than two minutes, fixed it, ran through a full HVAC check, and was on his way in less than 20 minutes. Would absolutely work with him again!
Got their number from Honeywell customer service. From the beginning this guy from Stand Bros. knew more than the last guy who just wanted to sell me a new thermostat but didnt seem to know what was the problem. He diagnosed it as a broken exhaust fan and went for the part right away and returned in less than an hour replacing it in record time. When he left it was working flawlessly.

On Sep 19, I was scheduled for a install of a Pressure Reduction Valve as this is an older house and it was discovered I was missing one when they did an overall routine inspection as part of my maintenance plan. The two techs Daniel & Luis, were on time and got after it. Of course this involves digging up the yard to the water connection to the city pipe. It took a couple of hours but they did a 1st class professional job. I been with Strand for 20+ years using their maintenance program and they are always easy to work with and solve my issues ASAP. 5 stars.
Sam and Christopher were excellent. My pups are very happy with the care and service they did in our home. And the next time we need a service request I hope they can come back out.

He even installed a drain to ensure easy cleaning and access in case of future problems. Im comfortable knowing I have this responsive, dependable, knowledgeable HVAC professionals looking after my AC :-)Oh no. here we are several years down the road and the condenser coil developed a leak and needed replaced. They diagnosed the problem immediately ordered the part and replaced it with 2hrs. So glad Im an advantage customer of theirs.

Great service for sure! Was having vertigo and constant migraines that were getting worse over time and on a routine maintenance visit, Christopher identified mold in one of the units. The mold was removed promptly by Jesus, Eddie and Juan who also installed UV lights. They were very professional and my symptoms have started to improve!

This company is a scam. Their MO is to sell you a new HVAC or system. They had been servicing my Mothers home for years. She is 89. She trusted them. I stopped by her house. They were doing paperwork to replace her 7 year old Lennox HVAC System with a new one at $13,000! There were 2 guys there, a tech (seemed like a humble nice guy) and a smartly dressed, sales person. They told her the coil was bad and was not under warranty per the office. They said replacing the coil would cots $3,500 so it was best to replace before it went out. They wanted to come back the next day and replace it. I felt really uncomfortable and had a gut feeling something was not right. Why are they sending a sales rep to a regular maintenance service appointment? The sales guy sat round for 2 hours while the Tech did his work. My Mom had been having no issues with the AC. The system was only 7 years old, and had actually be installed by Strand. This did not need to be rushed. I figured I needed time to research this. So I called Strand Bros and said, we wanted to delay this by a week. Online research was hinting that the coil may still be under warranty. I called Lennox the next day, and found out that the coil was under warranty and the system had been registered so the only thing she would need to pay for is the labor to replace it. So I called the Austin office to see if I could get them to check again if under warranty. I did not tell them I knew it was, I was trying to see if I could get a truthful answer. After 3 or 4 calls to various people there Daniella, Clarissa, Aubrey, including a manager Anthony, I was told it was not under warranty. All the while, the irritating sales person, Mike Sanchez, who was at her house, was harassing me via text to replace the system. Texting me at 10 pm and 11pm telling me I was being irresponsible! Talk about desperate for a sale. I did not let on that I knew it was under warranty. His texts started telling me that he knew I was calling the office and I wasnt going to get a different answer. Finally I responded, which Ill paste below. We then tried to call the GM, Anthony, to address this and never got a call back. We tried to call the office to discuss, but no-one would call us back. Stay away from this company. Find a local company that is not owned by a corporation with a corporate model (to sell you something). We got the coil replaced by a reputable company for $1,000 labor. Here is the text response I finally sent:I have been contacting people at Strand in an effort to get honest answers and honest pricing. The purpose of a flat rate pricing is so that the customer does not know what they are paying for. And therefore the prices can be inflated. You are a sales person. The ONLY reason you went on the call is to sell a new system. Period. You spent 3 hours there waiting to sell her. An honest company would never do that. Tons of terrible reviews on Yelp and Angie’s List with same experience we had. In detail. Thank God I showed up when I did to put a stop to this rip off. I have canceled the monthly program fee and we have found another local company to check the system. If it really does needs another coil, then we will replace it because, the coil actually is under warranty until 2027. I called Lennox on Tuesday morning and they confirmed the unit is registered and it is under warranty, including the coil, until 2027. Found 2017 paperwork that clearly shows the coils extended 10 yr warranty long with the registration number which was installed and registered by Strand. I have known since Tuesday but I was trying to see if anyone at your company would actually tell me the truth. But nope, talked to 3 people and got a voicemail reply and they all said the same lies. How shameful for you and your company to try and swindle an 89 year old woman out of $13,000. Shame on all of you. Good luck to you and your scam company. Beware though, people are informed, intelligent and have more power than you think.Update: I gave them customer info below, and they did not answer me. They dont care.
I was a customer for about 18 months, it started out well but took a turn this fall. Specifically- Inconsistencies with their practices. Example - the HVAC person had a process for entering the house without the homeowner there but 60 minutes earlier, the Plumber refused to enter due to company policy.- Lack of care from staff. Starts with an email address that no one monitors - sending messages into an abyss. And when you do get contact, I had the unfortunate situation of the employee sharing some choice words, not realizing she was messaging me and not a fellow employee.I think the price point and offerings are great for consistent home care, I just had a few things rub me the wrong way so I opted to go elsewhere. It happens.

We recently had JR out to do a regular service, but he ended up finding some filters that shouldn’t have been there and explained that they were causing extra strain on the unit. We ended up learning a lot from him. We’ll be requesting him from now on because nobody else from the company had ever told us we had a bunch of unnecessary filters causing more wear and tear on our system.

Cristhian Vazquez was very professional, on time and polite. We also met with Brian Perez about getting a new HVAC system. He was patient and kind and answered all of our questions. Its a lot of money to spend on a new system but we trust they will stand behind their service and product.
This is a criminal organization.At first I gave them a 5-star for the installation of my new AC system. They have a nice online service call system. They walked through the service from start to finish so professionally.But...Right to the beginning of the next summer session, it wasnt cooling any more. I placed a service call. They came and recharged the Freon. All was good again. I told them there got to be a leak. They did not answer.The third year it wasnt cool again. I placed a serve call and again the HVAC tech only recharged the Freon. I told the tech there must be a leak. The tech agreed and asked me to place another serve call. Each time I place a serve call they charge me a service call fee. A couple months later my AC was struggling so I had to place another service call. Another tech came and collected the service call fee and told me it is the way it is.They created the problem themselves initially and they can just collect the money endlessly.Just look at the BBB complaints of this company.

Sam and Keneth conducted the inspection yesterday, and their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. They not only identified issues I was already aware of but also uncovered new ones that I hadnt noticed. I appreciated their thoroughness and accuracy throughout the inspection process.They were punctual, giving me a courtesy call before arriving, which I found very considerate. Raciel from Strand performed our biannual service today and was great. He called ahead to give me an ETA and arrived on time.He then proceeded to do a very thorough job and was clear in communicating everything that he found and the health of my systems.
We had a pretty large pipe leak(more like a giant spray than a leak!) at our childcare center. Old buildings have many plumbing headaches and with children it is even more urgent, but Josefat was here at 4pm on the dot(they said between 4-8), which is rare with plumbers! He was very thorough and was sure to check to make sure there were no other leaks we hadn’t found. He fixed the leak quickly and was friendly and very nice.Strand Brothers had to come out the following day and Josefat and Jeremiah did one more quick check(everything was perfect!) and were on their way.I can’t recommend Strand Brothers and Josefat and Jeremiah enough! They were awesome!!

Caleb Mock did the water softener installation and kept me informed on progress and next steps. When installation was complete he went out of his way to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable with the product. Will definitely use again.
Sam and Christopher were here today to check my Heat and Cooling. Found a couple of things to address and blew out my drain that keeps stopping up so I dont have any more floods. They were very thorough and helped me know what my system needs. I appreciate their service today and will ask for them again.
Mike and Michael serviced my heating/cooling system as part of the maintenance contract. They were excellent, providing professional service and explaining maintenance recommendations, nothing pushy just clear and easy to understand needs. Their customer service was excellent!!!
Jesus, Eddy and Juan did a very good job with replaced the UV(?) light and the box it goes in. They were very professional and polite.
Amber, she’s amazing I enjoyed talking with her. Amber explained everything she was doing and showed me my numbers. She also cut a copper tube because it was too long. I grateful for that now I don’t have too get digging a hole so it doesn’t plug up. Thank you Amber.
Ive had Strand to my rental property in Volente and they have always provided top notch service. Today it was my personal residence being serviced and, once again, service was excellent! The service rep was an unnecessary bother but the technician himself, Diego Pinto, was outstanding. Diego was thorough and took his time as he explained everything he was doing, everything he saw, and provided great assessments and recommendations without pushing, hyping or overselling. While I did not take him up on the addition of a blue light (yet) to combat some slight biological growth, I was impressed enough to buy a yearly service contract. Awesome!
Notice my water heater went out on me late at night. Pretty impress how fast Strand Brothers were able to schedule me first thing in the morning. Technician ended up showing up right at 8am. Have to say hands down tech Caleb Mock was amazing. I feel like he went beyond and explain everything to me (luckily Water Heater was still under warranty) still had to pay labor. I sign up for their club membership. Very lucky to find a good plumbing company. Thank you Strand Brothers…
Excellent communication from everyone at the company in regards to my major plumbing repair. Over the years as a Stand customer, Ive noticed that their employees enjoy working for the company, and they put real pride into their work. And it shows.I have an old house in East Austin, and the work required to replace the 80+ year-old old cast-iron sewer line was immense as well as complex. Justin and Curtis (and team) saved me from a difficult, dire situation, and I dont think any other company could have even gotten the job done. They are 100% professional, hard-working, courteous and friendly with expert-level experience. Thank you!

Strand installed our AC units about 6 years ago and we did a service plan but after 4 years we cancelled because we did not feel the techs were being very thorough in their job. However 4 days ago our upstairs unit quit functioning. Christian came out diagnosed the problem correctly the first time and talked me into getting the service plan again. I was a little disgusted with myself but it did need a little tlc. Today our systems were serviced by Amber. OMG she is very thorough and careful. I was impressed with her attention to details and the care she took with our systems. We had a lot for her to do and she did it without complaining (like a previous maintenance tech). As long as she is there, I’ll keep up the contract. I’m sure next time she will have less work to do. Amazing tech.
Naeim and Sam performed our first service review and did a great job. Found several issues with the AC and installed the UV light to address one of those. We signed up for the annual service as a result.
Efrain was very thorough in what he did and explanation. He did an awesome job getting my thermostat restored. I highly recommend him and Strand Brothers. No matter what the time is they always come through. Thanks guys!

Left voicemail on my phone replace evaporator coil and “other stuff”Christian Vasquez accidentally popped back in my cut off switch upside down causing my connector not to workTony - management- mocked me for having so many estimates on this big job insinuating it was another companyThey were the last company out. He could not take ownership that the new rookie made and mistake and Lance Shaw didn’t see him do this.Next technician out told me what last company did “ Strand Brothers “ could have cost me 400.00 to fix but he ended up telling me I don’t actually need a new connector and what Strand Brothers did by mistakeStrand Brothers will not take ownership and kept mocking me over all the estimates I’ll do for one job. Who does that? They refuse to give me back my 99.00 so I’ll be putting this everywhere.They always have great reviews and a well known great company but this time made a mistake they refuse to be accountable for. Just kept mocking a middle aged lady that doesn’t know much about AC repair
Our garage apartment needed a new thermostat - our handyman had installed one incorrectly, but Jackson immediately diagnosed the problem, wired it correctly and replaced the fuse that had been blown. Definitely will call next time.
Jackson did a wonderful job diagnosing our ac problems, and solved them in less than an hour! We appreciate his help and look forward to being repeat customers in the future.
Gustavo was polite and explained what he did. He fixed the problem. Was very expensive to clean out the drain line which we attempted to do ourselves. He explained we will probably have to do this again because of the location of the clean out.
UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to update this review and change it to a 1 star rating, because after discovering new information I honestly kind of feel like the 99 dollar fee was more geared towards sales than it was fixing the issue. After they left the AC kept shutting off and I kept having to reset it, causing me to constantly go back outside and the house still heating up signifcantly. Maybe Im a negligent homeowner, but I did not know that simply spraying off the AC coils with a hose was all I needed to get the AC back up and running while we wait for a new AC to be installed. If dirty coils were mentioned, it was in a long list of other potential problems, but the potential fix wasnt talked about, it was much more focused on your system is old so lets just replace it now. While I do agree with that sentiment, I feel like maybe spraying them off could have been mentioned in the mean time to have our house not be 95 degrees, but instead, not having AC was kind of used as a sales tactic to pressure me into purchasing faster. Id also like to note that I got quotes from other companies, and they did exactly the same things and told me the same things that Strand Brothers did, but I didnt have to pay a 99 dollar fee. Thats how I found out that I could get up and running for a while while I waited for the install. While I do give them credit for telling me about the reset switch, I feel like the dirty coils was an obvious and pretty easy fix for the tech to try, and now Im left wondering what I paid for when I was told better information for free. To top it all off, the quote was almost double other companies I got quotes from.Had a visit from a couple service people (Im so sorry I cant remember their names) to check out our AC not turning on. They diagnosed the (many) issues with our ancient system and provided numerous options to follow up. They even did a small fix to get our AC back on temporarily before it completely dies. Very professional and friendly! Will update the review once we have more experiences with them!
Sam and Mike came today for my annual maintenance call for my HVAC unit and stayed to fix some things that were wearing out. They also helped me with a black light system. Most of all they were taking care of my system to last as long as possible and be healthier.Josafat came today and took care of my plumbing. I am really impressed with the time the team gave me.
Raciel.was very polite and efficient. I had additional questions about the service they recommended. I called and nobody was available to answer my questions. I was told the service manager would contact me, and he never did. Ill be taking my business to another company who is more responsive.

Peter and Dusty just completed my scheduled maintenance. As always, they were on time, completed the maintenance in a timely manner, were friendly and professional. I have been a customer for 10 years, and Peter has been my technician for most of that time. He is wonderful and so knowledgeable, and my dog absolutely adores him - always a good sign 😊
