Disappointed to post a 2* here as when I had my complete HVAC system setup replaced 9 years ago by them they had great pricing and service.Right before Christmas my AC had stopped working. Did some troubleshooting on my own and determined the blower motor in the furnace had stopped starting up. Called Precision and they were out the next day! All good so far.The repair man showed up with someone who was obviously a sales rep. Weird - but if they want to send 2 people for a $49 service charge - all good. As I had guessed, the motor was not working anymore. They said that they would send me a quote and let me know how much that would cost, but “the system is almost 10 years old. You might need to look at a new one“ on a system that has a 10 year warranty and was installed by them. The salesman then let me know how it might take weeks to get a new blower motor and again with the cost and the time it might just be more efficient to get a new system.With that, I let them leave, went online, looked up companies that sold the motors, ordered one, and had it delivered 36 hours later. 30 or so minutes of labor on my behalf, I was done and the system has now been working great for a month now.Oh, and their estimate for replacing it? Over $2300. My all in cost - $329.99 and about 30 minute of time. The cost is the cost - but trying to fleece me into a whole new system for something that can be replaced easily is just trashy and wasteful.

Waylon Thompson & Jayson (didn’t catch the last name) called 30 minutes prior to arrival, arrived within the timeframe, were super nice, efficient and got my heater running in less than an hour. Have used Fox for many years and always been happy with their service.

We have always had excellent service from Precision Air. They’re prompt and very attentive. Noah Dugas was great today when we could not figure out why our AC/heating unit just completely stopped working last night. He was professional, courteous, and showed us what we can do in the future to make sure that something like that doesn’t happen again. I definitely recommend Precision to anybody who needs any new air or heating units.

We called Precision Heating and AC after lunch on Thursday and our new system was installed by 5pm on Friday. Liz and Manuel were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful through the whole process.

We were charged $514 to install a new thermostat. Details below.After determining a few weeks ago—9/21—that our thermostat was broken and needed to be replaced, my wife called Precision to come and see if the issue went beyond the thermostat. If I didn’t have to leave for work, I would have run to the hardware store and bought a new thermostat to see if this indeed was the only issue keeping the AC from working properly. Because my wife wasn’t comfortable with trying to install a new thermostat by herself—and because there could be other issues with the AC—we determined that having a professional come out would be best.My wife called around 1 pm and was told the price would be $49 for a technician to come out. Very reasonable! However, when the tech eventually arrived at 5 pm, he was accompanied by a sales representative. My wife was confused. At this point, the house was around 90 degrees and she simply wanted the AC back up and running again. As I already mentioned, I had determined that the thermostat was broken before the leaving for work and before my wife called Precision. The tech came to the same conclusion and needed approval to install a new thermostat. This required my wife signing a 7 page contract authorizing the installation. The price for the part and installation? $514. The thermostat retails for $45 on Amazon. So, when factoring in the price of the part and the service charge, Precision charged us over $400 to install something that takes about 5 minutes.After my wife signed off on replacing the thermostat, the tech checked the system and found that it’s low on refrigerant and suspected that there could be a leak. The tech gave my wife a quote for doing a leak search and adding refrigerant. However, due the age of the system, he ultimately recommended replacing the entire unit.I believe this is why a sales rep was brought along with the technician. To make the $514 charge easier to swallow, the sales rep—Elizabeth—said that if we purchase a new system with Precision, they’ll factor in the $514 charge as a down payment towards the cost. So, is this how Precision justifies their exorbitant prices? This is, in my opinion, an incredibly shady business practice.I called Precision the following Monday morning to get some clarity on why the cost to install the thermostat was so high. Convenience was the reason given and I was told that nothing could be done to reduce what I and my wife feel is a very unreasonable cost. Precision’s website states the following: “We go above and beyond to put our customers first and back up all our services with a 100% satisfaction guarantee!” This language has proven to be trite and meaningless.10/16 response to the owner: If you take my feedback very seriously, you or one of your managers would have called me back weeks ago. I spoke with one of your office employees two separate times the week following our appointment. On the first phone call, I was denied the request to speak with a manager. On the second phone call a few days later--after a great deal of pushback from your employee--I was told a manager would call me back to discuss the issue further. I never received that phone call. Your canned response to my review of your business rings as hollow the 100% satisfaction guarantee! posted in bold text on your website.

Ramiro quickly identified the problem I was having. He tried to fix the issue w/o costly parts and time, but was ultimately unsuccessful When it became obvious that new parts were needed, he was able to quickly get them, rapidly install them, and leave a happy customer at the end.

Jeff is always professional, friendly and efficient. He explains things well and is very detailed in his inspections and work on my generator.He is a great representative for your company!

Technician Joe C installed our HVAC unit yesterday. When we needed to use the heat early this morning the unit was giving a warning and it would not come on- very cold and frustrating!I called the office first thing this morning and they diapatched technician Eric S to come out within an hr! He let us know the previous tech had not finished the job. He got parts needed and completed the work. Why did Joe leave the work incomplete?! 😕Thank you Eric S for COMPLETING the job and quickly!*Minus 1 star due to previous tech not doing his part.*

Ruben Espinosa did a great job. He was polite, friendly and efficient. He double checked to make sure the heater was running as it should be. I’m very pleased with his work. Buy him a nice lunch!

Manuel and Jose did an excellent job of balanced the air flow for the second floor of our home. Although we had issues with only two rooms, they took the time to check every supply grill on the second floor. Very happy with the work, we will continue use Precision HVAC Services in the future.

Tom Carter did a great job installing my hvac system. He was very knowledgeable , trustworthy and friendly! Forest Sims was also working with Tom and did a great job helping and learning . They were both honest technicians.

He and his team of two others were extremely professional. Very friendly respected my house with using drop cloths on the floor. Kept me informed of there progress. His other team members explained on thermostat how to use it and helped me with setting it up on my I phone. They cleaned up the area that they were working in. All 3 were very professional. I would recommend them that they were part of a company that carried about there customers.

Olin was FANTASTIC from Start to finish! I would hire him again in a heartbeat to do any job for me! His personality is FANTASTIC As well! Please give Olin a raise, He definitely deserves one! Thank you so very much! I would give him a bonus, but I can’t afford it!

Robert Fichter provided semi-annual maintenance inspections on LG and Mitsubishi split units. He did very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional work. I trust his judgement and years of experience when recommending additional cleaning for one of the units. Hopefully this level of care will keep the units running optimally for years to come.

Brand new system installed less than 10 years ago. Have had nothing but problems, spending thousands after the install. Now they tell me it’s time for a new one. Not from here. After latest repair, was told it would take 5 minutes to start cooling. After 30 minutes it was not. Called back, was told, no it takes 10 minutes. I said it’s been more than that. Then he said 20 minutes. Then he said 24 hours. Jeez

Eric Saurez knows what hes doing. He replaced the blower motor/HVAC, previous one had a high pitched humming sound that was hurting my ears and not blowing out much air. He explained the what/why and the solution. He deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you again!

Excellent service. Came in, identified the issue, and fixed it. They also did a full inspection and made recommendations that made sense and explained why it was important to consider additional repairs. No pushy sales, but straight to the point advice. Would definitely use them again.

I called Precision last night when my A/C suddenly stopped cooling. They were able to get a technician out quickly (next day) and AZ diagnosed and resolved the problem. The part was covered by warranty and was on the truck so no waiting to get it fixed. The appointment process was handled easily. AZ Sanders was on time, professional and got the job done. Now, I am enjoying a cool house again. Thanks!

We needed a hose bib replaced at the front of our office. Since we needed to have our water shut off at the street, we decided to have a plumber do the work. We got an estimate first and then had the hose bib installed in less than a day. Fox Service Company has great customer service! We received a notice call ahead of both appointments and Greg was thorough and explained exactly what was was needed and did the repair quickly. Highly recommended Fox Service and our technician Greg. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Precision Heating & Air were life savers this summer. My HVAC broke catastrophically two weeks ago, and not only was Precision one of the few companies in town who answered my emergency call on a Sunday afternoon — they made me feel reassured with efficient quality service. I was given several options for a quote, and within 36 hours the techs were performing a full system replacement. Everything from start to finish was smooth, I felt the price was fair for the product and service, and I now have an excellent HVAC keeping my home cool in the summer/warm in the winter.

Once the part came in Javier came quickly and it seems that for thr 1st time in 2.5 months we have a working heating system. Javier stayed for 10 extra minutes to be sure it stayed working.

Antonio Liberal was awesome. Super nice and knowledgeable. I have a home warranty company that I pay every month that I am canceling. I never really felt comfortable with their companies that they use. I was able to ask him questions an I trusted his answers. Thank you so much for sending him to fix my a/c. He is definitely an asset to your company. His helper was great too! The people that answer the phones at Fox are nice too.

Shawn Dunlap worked more plumbing magic on my ancient system finding and raising the clean out. He’s careful, meticulous about his work.

Jaden and his pal did a wonderful job today putting in two ultraviolet lights to help clean our inside air and keep both furnace units clean.Also this morning we awoke to find our waterheater shutdownvl and the prospect of cold showers. Fox scheduling couldnt get a plumber before tomorrow afternoon. Apparently, plumbing supervisor Kendall proactively monitors the schedule and realized it was probably a quick fix and an urgent need. He was able to immediately reroute Romaro L. to check in and assess what was up. It was indeed an overactive sensor that was quickly resolved, giving us hot water in less than 10 min.Thanks to the whole Fox team.

Everyone who is/was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the election Enos was very customer oriented and was able to get our A/C working until he comes back next week to replace the main electrical panel.

Mr. Martin was friendly and considerate as he addressed the electrical issues at my home on Thursday. I appreciate his service.

Javier, Ernesto and Jose were all super! Everything was explained to me as they took out my old system and put in my new system they were very clean in their work and very polite throughout the time they were here. There was some difficulty in making the unit fit in an inside closet and they made adjustments for that even though it took them longer and they also were able to make sure that my ionizer and Halo were still working correctly. Im incredibly pleased with everything that they did.

Noah was great. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and handled being barked at nonstop by my dogs with grace. Also, the membership they offer is well worth the price!

The technician, Owen, called ahead to ask a few questions and then came right over. He was quick to diagnose our AC problem and repaired it fast. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and we are very satisfied with the service from Owen and from Precision / Fox.Recommended

Eric from Precision took such good care of our family this week! Eric was friendly and helpful. He identified and corrected our heating unit’s malfunction quickly, then came back the next day to check on how the unit was working after the correction. There had been the possibility of a part requiring replacement (the cost of which I was dreading paying out), but when Eric returned to check on how the unit was faring after he’d made his corrections the previous day, he discovered it was now working perfectly, and advised me there was no need to replace parts.I’ve had some really, really bad experiences with other local heat/AC companies in the past. I eventually found Precision in 2016, and I have been using their services loyally ever since.Precision has proven to me year after year that they are consistently ethical, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Their employees are exceedingly friendly and warm, and are skilled at providing excellent customer service. Precision consistently delivers a superior customer experience on every level.

Upon getting up at 6:30 AM to walk our dog, I saw that the thermostat for our downstairs HVAC unit had thrown an error code, so the furnace was not working and the room temperature was showing as 57⁰. Last night was the coldest night of the season so far, and were heading into a stretch of even lower temps in the next few days, so I was not too happy the furnace decided to quit working.I immediately called Precisions 24 hour service line and soon had an appointment for between 8 and 11 the same day! In short order, I received a text and email telling me Eric Suarez would be my technician, with a picture.Eric soon called and told me he was on the way. Once he arrived, Eric quickly diagnosed the issue, put in the order for a replacement part to fix it, and told me that, if available, he might be back before end-of-day with the part to fix the furnace and get things warmed up.Before long, I got a call from Precision to set up an afternoon visit for Eric to perform the part replacement. Eric showed up on time and got things running again quickly, then stayed long enough to make sure the fix worked and the house started to warm up.Eric was extremely friendly and professional, explained what had happened and the costs to fix it, and even beat the quoted price because I qualified for some discounts. All in all, I highly recommend Precision and Eric.

I Highly Recommend using Precision Heating and Air. I had a leak back in June and they quickly repaired it for me. I also knew that my 15 year old unit was on its last leg. Sure enough it lasted 2 months and went down. I called Troy at Precision Heating & Air and he was out the next day and he thoroughly inspected my HVAC unit and helped me to determine my needs. He was dead on with that. They were out in a few days to install my new Carrier unit. The installers were Thomas & Jeffrey. They did and awesome job and cleaned up really well when finished. Ask for Troy, hes the expert to help with your A/C and Heating needs. I do know that I can depend on Precision Heating and Air and so should you!

We had the pleasure of working with Clayton from Fox, who did a large electrical project for us. Couldnt be happier with the experience, great communication and work product from start to finish. I would give Ramiro from Precision Heating and Air 4 stars. He was professional and arrived on time. He was relatively quick to diagnose the issue around why my condenser was not turning on.I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars b/c he charged me $530 to replace a $45 contactor. In addition, there was only 1 item on the bill that was a generic entry and the full price. no break down for service call, labor, or parts. The part was installed and issue resolved in ~45 minutes.

Best HVAC company around, they went into a lot of detail on why i needed to replace my AC and did a full inspection. I had quotes from 5 different companies and they had the best value for the job. Ernesto the installer was great. Very polite and worked efficiently and clean. Thanks!

I cant speak to their work but I will say their customer service blew me away. I had an AC emergency. AC went out suddenly late in the evening. Were stuck at home with a young baby trying to figure out what to do. I called them in a mild panic, they tried their best to find someone to come out but didnt have any techs available. A few minutes goes by and they call ME back and tell me they found someone at a different company entirely and have them on their way to my house. I was absolutely floored by their kindness. Yall didnt have to do that and I will never forget that you did!

I used precision about four years ago and had good experience previously. It seems bought by Fox service. Their service is too pricey to afford from my experience yesterday.The air from the vent is not cool enough. I guessed my ac has an evaporator coil leak since my another same ac had this issue four years ago. It took the technician ~10 minutes to conclude coil leaking and he charged me $359. He quoted $4,349 for replacing the coil. I got a quote $1,480 from another company later. What a rip off!I will not use precision again.

Glass and George did a fantastic job installing my new Lennox 4-ton A/C unit. They had to do extensive modification to replace the old A/C, and they worked really hard all day. They were a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend them.

Very professional crew led by Tom Carter; arrived in advance of the time, rapidly diagnosed the problem, had the parts on the truck, and got everything squared away and cooling again in less than an hour. On a day its supposed to hit 100, thats a miracle. Quite pleased, would use again.

This was the 4th time I used this company, and I would truly recommend them. They were quick to respond, the Tech “AZ Sanders” was very knowledgeable and friendly. And I loved the upfront honesty regarding any cost, and communications. I also appreciated his cleanliness and that fact that he was willing to answer and listen to all my questions and concerns. I will definitely be using them for my service to my Air Conditioning unit. I also purchased the “Maintenance Membership” again, as it definitely comes in handy. I was so happy with the service that I am requesting the same technician back to return. A true company that backs up there Word, without a DOUBT!!!!

Precision just replaced our HVAC Ducts in our attic. Had to be done, as old ducts were 30 yrs old and falling apart! The crew, Glass, George, Nesto & Juan did an excellent job & completed it in one day! They worked efficiently & checked all steps were ok & system working properly with AC when completed. Devan R did good job on cost estimate & Rick did thorough job of duct system planning & layout for our HVAC. Great job guys!

We had a wonderful experience today with Glass and George installing our new air conditioner and furnace. They gave us a heads up and showed up much earlier than expected. They were friendly, courteous and professional. Glass and George completed the installation efficiently and left all work areas clean. They also took time to review the new equipment with me and answer any questions. Very happy with the work of this team.-----Eric S. performed an inspection/tune up of our heating system last week. Before starting, he explained everything he was going to do and answered any questions I had. Eric was very pleasant and informative about our system. He completed the inspection including cleaning the coils of our A/C unit in about an hour. He also provided us with suggestions on improvements we could make for better air quality without any pushy sales pitch. Overall, a great experience.

Happy to be a member of their maintenance program, which provides me with excellent service, quick response and decent pricing during these expensive times. I trust the job that is being done is being done properly and well.

Robert Fichter of Precision Heating and Air Conditioning called 30 minutes before he appeared at our door. He was timely, courteous and professional in his approach to our a/c problem. He quickly assessed the source of the problem and explained what was required to bring our a/c unit back on line. Within an hour, he completed the repairs and tested his work. Before leaving he made sure we didn’t have any questions about the repair work. I would recommend using this service provider again!

Our system reported a 13 limit lockout message on Saturday morning. Within an hour of calling, Rudy was here working on it. He tried various fixes, ended up having to leave cause the part he needed wasn’t on his truck. He had lunch with another tech, he had the part on his truck. So Rudy came back installed the part. He was here probably 4 hours total, including the second visit to install the part.He called us the next day to follow up that all was working.We’ve used Precision since we moved into this house. They installed the system in ‘16. We purchased the 10 year maintenance package, and it’s paid for itself.I recommend Precision. All of their techs are prompt, courteous and professional. This last experience with Rudy has been extra good. Why do systems always need work on the weekend?Thanks for such excellent service.

This was my first and last time using Precision. They sent a tech out a week ago to diagnose the issue, he had no idea what to do, he was on the phone with another tech who told him all the steps he had to do and then that tech over the phone diagnosed the problem. After agreeing to repairs Ive been waiting for a week and they have not called, I call everyday and they cant even tell if the part was ordered or not. Horrible customer service, untrained technician, cost twice as much to install a warranted part than other companies. Ill make sure none of my friends, acquaintances, coworkers, neighbors, etc...will not use this company.

We called Precision Air and asked for Darren, our favorite technician. He was not available for a week and our a/c was cutting on and off. We were scared it would quit all together in the 100 degrees plus weather we were having so we reluctantly decided another technician could come out. Much to our delight, when the text came across that Precision Air was on their way, Darren was the technician coming out! We were thrilled! When he arrived we told him we thought someone else was coming out. He said, I saw that yall requested me and we just made it happen so I could come out. He diagnosed the problem and had the parts on his truck so he could fix the issue. Darren always takes the time to explain the issue to us. He is very friendly and an expert in his field! We highly recommend him to everyone!

Adam Sartain and Antonio Liberal plus a third technician returned to determine the location of the leak in one unit. None was found but dye remains in the system for future determinations. They also found something had fallen into the p-trap on another unit causing the system to shut off. This also caused the thermostat to go bad. A new one was ordered under warranty and I am awaiting its arrival so I can turn the AC on.They were very thorough and answered all my questions. Thanks!

They showed up on time with advance notification and quickly identified the issue and fixed it. What else do you need? I would highly recommend them for an HVAC replacement and repair work.

My AC failed during the hottest spell of weather my home city of Austin has ever experienced in June. It was difficult to find any servicer who was not booked for weeks because of the high demand for repairs.Precision was able to get me an appointment within a week, which was better than 3 other companies I had contacted.Although the technician arrived a bit late without a notification, the customer service line explained clearly what was going on, and I had expected it anyway. (Hence minus that one star.)The repair was completed on the first visit after about 20 minutes, which was excellent, and the price was quite reasonable.

I first called Precision for a second estimate on a circuit board replacement for our heat pump. The tech was able to come out the same day which was very nice. They also offer their second estimates for free. The tech checked the entire system and found more than just a circuit board issue. We had mold growing inside the air handler and freon leaking from coils. The first company we had come out, Stan’s Heating and Air, failed to find or just didn’t show us any of these other issues. We ended up replacing the unit. It arrived and was replaced within several days. The two technicians that replaced it were friendly however they did leave a little bit of a mess. They also forgot to screw the cover back on that exposes the fan blades. I called the office and they had the techs quicklyreturn to clean up and fix everything. Over pleased with the service. Company was always responsive to any questions and concerns.

Scott diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to come back the next day with the part we needed to replace. He replaced this and our mini split is working now! Scott was professional and knowledgeable- I really appreciate his help!

We now ask for him specifically for the unit service checks as he treats our home like it is his and ensure all things are running 100% and we know how to properly care for our units. He likely saved us thousands in a new unit by teaching us some prevention techniques during a remodel where dust and debris tend to clog a system.Tom and Robert, two of the leaders we have met as we had a recent issue that needed their attention and support, came through in spades. They were thoughtful, consultative and moved with a sense of urgency to support. Something we are struggling seeing as our town is booming with home repair need!I learned Fox recently purchased Precision and clearly it elevated Precision to another level given the three above are just to name a few from Fox. Ernest came out at noon on a Sunday. There was no power to our Lennox AC and our thermostat screen was blank. Ernie quickly diagnosed the issue as backed up condensation that had tripped a float switch. Ernie was able to vacuum out the clog w/ his shop vac. Problem solved. Precision was quick to respond when we had an issue, and had excellent customer service. I can’t really speak to the pricing, but it seemed fair for rushed work. Abdul, the technician who saved us, was a gentleman who helped us by patching our system until the next day, when he had the parts he needed. Then he completed the job on time and did a great job.

Eric our Tech was awesome! When nobody could service the residence on a Sunday because of availability, Precision sent out a great Tech and had the ac fixed in under 4 hours from first call. Eric was early and made sure he took care of everything. He was very professional, explained the options and fixed the issues fast! We were up and cooling in 100 degree day within 20 minutes. He was honest about the service and how long it would last and offered multiple options and pricing to allow the best decision to be made. Although, dealing with issues is an never fun, the experience with Eric was great. I don’t often comment about service but today Eric did such a good job I had to acknowledge him and Precision.

I had my old unit diagnosed as too costly to repair. I got the financing, old unit removed, and new unit installed in 30 hours. Super happy, I bought a 10 year parts & labor warranty. The installers, Jose & Jose, were super fast, courteous, and highly professional.

The whole process from estimate to contract negotiation to install was outstanding from the other seven (yes, 7) estimates I got. Devan (sales manager) and Gage (install) were extremely thorough, informative, and responsive to questions the whole way. I entirely replaced a 3-head variable mini-split system including new linesets and wiring in a two-story condo. The install (4 days) was done cleanly and professionally, including a final walk-through and QC follow-up in a couple weeks. I even got assistance repairing all the drywall cuts after the job was done. The only caveat is that they are a Lennox equipment vendor, so you are fairly tied to only that brand for a new install/replacement; but the service warranty and the entire sales/install experience made it worth it to me.

We were provided a very professional job. He diagnosed the problem quickly and communicated the problem clearly. Indicated the was a relatively small possibility that the diagnosis was wrong. Completed the repaid in a short period of time. Please by them both lunch for this review which is deservedly excellent.

Jeff came out for the second time and still has not identified the problem. And without my permission changed the maintenance schedule from once a week to every 2 weeks. This was our first time using Precision Heating and Air. Ismael Garcia was excellent, identifying the problem with the mini split in my workshop and resolving it. He answered all my questions and made recommendations on how to prevent the condensate tray from backing up. Ismael definitely deserves a lunch on us. We were so impressed with his service that we signed up for your annual maintenance service for all 3 of our systems. We look forward to seeing Ismael again.

We recently had to replace our whole system and the team from Precision was great. The tech Abdul did all he could to keep the old one going, our salesman John came to the house to answer all our questions with zero pressure, and Manny and Jose stayed late to get the install job done and explain everything to us. Our house now feels amazing. Would highly recommend.

Precision installed system 4 years ago. Great installation and follow up. Unit stopped cooling. Didnt have an appointment for days so had another company come out after hours and they charged us $360 to diagnose leak in evaporator coil, recommending replacement under warranty.Asked Precision to take a look since they installed it. Two trucks arrived: Precision HVAC and Fox Home Services (same company). One guy says, This is a nice neighborhood. They wanted $1887 to do a NEW leak search which would take another full week to diagnose. Fixing the actual problem(s) would, of course, be extra. They wanted to change the weak capacitor too for $395. Fox Service Co, there looking around for things to do, was trying to sell me a new $3660 water heater. Complete sales ambush. Totally NOT cool.Ill go back to the first company who didnt want to add all that refrigerant for all of it to leak out again.

These guys have been great! Replaced our HVAC system in the middle of the summer last year when the old one died. Precision was able to get a new unit delivered and installed within about 24 hours of our initial call. Since then, the follow-up for service and general maintenance has been handled by great people that Id be happy to have come into my house again if there was an issue. Kudos to the whole team at Precision for their support and service!

Eric Suarez was a great technician. He was here when expected and accomplished the work in a professional manner. After he completed the service he did a great job cleaning up the job site and walked me through the fix. He answered all my questions, even those dealing with my HVAC system and not related to the fix.

Just had a great experience with Precision’s technician Tom Carter. We had lightning strike very close to our home in the early AM hours and experienced a power surge as a result. Our upstairs HVAC was intermittently trying to turn on/off. Tom debugged our issue and discovered the electrical base/mounting plate to our Nest Thermostat was damaged. Luckily I had a spare on hand and Tom replaced it and we’re back up and running. Tom is super nice and incredibly customer friendly. Thanks again Tom!

Obadiah Puttrich from Fox Service Company and/or Precision Heating & Air’s service was excellent. This is the second time he’s visited our home for a/c and he’s always prompt, polite and keeps us informed as to the problem, dudes, etc. He is great!

Our A/C stopped working last night. I was able to get an appointment for the next day! With a newborn I needed someone to come ASAP. We had Abdul Wahedi and he was courteous, fast and respectful of the newborn in the house. He didn’t try and sell us anything just fixed our compressor and did our Fall check up. I recommend the service contract so you don’t have to worry about anything breaking down. So happy I went with them instead of our warranty provider who wanted to charge us double.

My HVAC unit was installed last spring. It has had several problems that were most likely due to faulty installation, possibly bad parts. I do want to give recognition to your maintenance crews, especially Darren who identified a couple of pesky problems and worked for hours to assure that everything was working correctly. He certainly deserves a very nice lunch.

Update 11-16-22Had Abdul come out to check my heater. He did a very thorough inspection of my unit. He was friendly and professional. He found that our emergency heat had never been hooked up. Stated he would get that taken care of with his company right away. Unfortunately for me I did not have them install my unit. That was done through a company from my home warranty. I called them and I am still waiting to hear from a manager about this. I originally called precision when this other company did not respond to my call about my ac not working in July a few years back. Next time I will have precision do all the work I need done from the beginning.Past reviewI have used this company twice for repairs. They respond quickly and do a great job. Also bought their maintenance program. I forgot to call and make my maintenance appointments. They called me to let me know and set me up right away. The technician was great, called to let me know when he would get here. Also let me know to keep an eye on the emergency drip line outside dripping water is not a good thing. Need to call if that happens means the main line is stopped up. Anyway very helpful and friendly.

If you want high quality, reliable service done by professionals, I recommend Precision. I used a cheaper company to install a new system years ago, and it was a huge mistake. They went out of business, and getting my warranty honored was an overwhelming process. I switched over to Precision bc of their long history in the business, and got on their annual maintenance plane. I use them because I never have to worry about whether or not the techs have given me the best possible service and whether the part they have sold me is the best quality and that it will be under warranty, which they track for me. Eric S. is my personal tech, who I see about every 6 months for my system maintenance. He is friendly, professional and gives me honest advice about my system - how to personally maintain it to save money, and on any new parts or service I may need. Recommend.

I purchased a new AC unit about 2.5 years ago from Precision Heating and Air. There is a 10 year warranty on just about everything, which made purchasing this through them very appealing. About 4 days ago my AC unit stopped working. I called them on Saturday and they added me to the schedule for Monday. The temperatures over here have been in the 100s, so I found a place to stay during the weekend. I went back home on Monday to wait for them (85 degrees inside). At around 5pm I finally decided to call them, and the first person I talked to hung up on me after I asked for them to explain why I was not told they were not coming (she told me they were not going to have time to come over). The second person I talked to rescheduled me for the following morning. Finally they came to work on my AC. After 5 minutes of looking at what was wrong, I was told the part was included with the warranty but the labor was not included. Then they went on to say the cost of labor is $354. It took them less than 20 minutes to fix it. I am very, very disappointed in the cost. I am waiting for Precision Heating and Air to call me back to explain how this is possible. So, in short, they sell you on their excellent warranty but completely fail to tell you how outrageous the labor costs are going to be.

The representatives and service personnel are professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. I always feel valued as a customer! Javier Rangel was knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

They came out to investigate my system not blowing cold probably 3-5mo ago. Said the coil in my attic was likely leaking so they charged me around $700 to refill the system with refrigerant and dye. Came back out two weeks later and “confirmed” the coil was leaking and gave me quotes ranging from around $16k to $27k to replace the system and advised against just the coil.Got connected with a guy that runs his own small HVAC company. He laughed when I told him I had a 7 year old Carrier Infinity system that had a “leaking coil”. He laughed and said those systems don’t leak. He was in my attic 5 minutes before he found a leak at a joint in the copper piping coming from the condenser in the attic about 3’ out of the system. Blatantly obvious. $900 later and I was set. System has maintained temperature through all this heat.Never use these people, or Fox Services for that matter. They should be ashamed of themselves. I feel sorry for all the people they have duped.

My Lennox AC stopped working and showed an error message 433. I called FOX and they were able to dispatch Ramiro Martinez same day. Ramiro arrived with a helper and immediately diagnosed the issue. He was easy to talk to and able to clearly communicate what was happening and how he intended to remedy the HVAC problem. Ramiro had the Lennox back in Action in no time. No muss no fuss. I highly recommend Ramiro Martinez and Fox/Precision for all your HVAC needs.

My brand new AC was misdiagnosed by Daniels Plumbing and Air Conditioning; a sister company of theirs (which I do NOT recommend). Precision professionally and efficiently got my AC working the same day. Precision is a company I can trust- Shout out to Brandon- he was very informative and professional.

Manuel Gonzalez Spent the day with us yesterday changing out our entire AC system, inside(upstairs attic) and outside components . He was very courteous and professional and patient in his work. They (he and Frsnsisco)were efficient and neat, they also stayed and finished even though it was very late and they did not have dinner. Before leaving, they assured we had all questions answered and showed us how to access the new thermostats. They are both hard workers!

Jose Castelon and his partner were very courteous,knowledgeable and hard working. They did a great job and worked a long day. They cleaned up well after the work.

Our A/C went out and after 2 days it was hitting 89 degrees inside the house. The person who came to check out A/C looked around telling us there was a problem with the capacitor. He showed us the new capacitor he planned to install (that cost $60 on Amazon) and told us it would cost $412 to replace. This was his 15% discount if we went with the $199 a year service plan where they come out twice a year (this house call was one of those two times) and if not it would be $484.70. He also tried selling us a Hard Start Kit for $417 (costs $13 on Amazon), again only 15% off if we get the annual subscription. Id understand if its $400 dollars in labor, but why double the labor cost for just another piece of equipment that is just as easy to install.My wife and I talked it through and just did not have the money to pay that much so we had to refuse service and paid the $49 service fee for coming out. He then goes and re-installs our old capacitor, that maybe took 2 minutes to do and went on his way.We ended up buying the capacitor on Amazon and found a 3 minute YouTube video explaining how to replace it ourselves.Its pretty crazy how much someone can charge when theres what would be considered an emergency at the house with the temperature being so high. We tried calling the office to see if they can price check to see if this was normal, but they did not have pricing as its a per customer basis.The staff at the office did an excellent job getting me scheduled for a next day appointment so I must give credit where credit is due.Read RedTigerPros post below for a very similar experience so I know its not just us.

I had used them a few years ago and looked them back up when my ac unit stopped working. I emailed them after hours and had a reply by 8:30 the next morning that they could be there that afternoon. The technician, Brandon was on time, friendly and explained what he was doing throughout the visit. He had the ac unit back up and running in about thirty minutes. Although it was an unplanned repair bill I was very pleased with everything from Precision Heating and Air and will be using them in the future when needed.

Our air conditioning started blowing warm air during a stretch of 100 degree days. On arrival, Wayland asked relevant questions and quickly found the problem. Luckily, the failed part is one that the company keeps in its repair trucks. We appreciated the professionalism and service.

Our air conditioner went out randomly and has not come back on. We assume it’s an electrical issue we can’t fix ourselves. We thought after we called precision they would be out to fix it in no time since they claim to be a 24/7 service. That wasn’t the case at all. Our air conditioning has been out for 3 days. The first time we called (after 7pm) our info never got forwarded to a technician. Each time after that our call got transferred to a call center with someone who gives us 4 hr time time window with a promise a technician will call us back when they are on their way. Each time the technician (from fox?) calls back only to tell us there’s no availability. Supposedly they’ll be available Monday but we won’t hold our breath. We will be taking our business elsewhere after this.Things to improve.1. Have a number that goes directly to your business not a call center that gives your customers false information on time availability.2. Have a better communication system with your technicians.3. Have more staff to meet the demands of “24/7” service or just be more realistic and honest about why the work can’t be done in a specific time frame.4. Clarify your partnership with Fox on your website. It’s very confusing for your customers.5. I will reiterate again. DON’T CLAIM TO BE 24/7 when you clearly can’t meet the demand.

Tom Carter spent time explaining what was performed and how we could enhance its performance. We have service plan with them and will continue to use them and recommend them to friends and family.

Precision (Fox) was very helpful when reviewing our HVAC system. They suggested we replace our air scrubber with a higher quality HALO and though they had a sale going on, they were not pushy about it. We took several days to consider and called them back. They fit us right in. Thanks especially to Rudy, who was always very helpful, thorough and friendly.

I called Precision (who is also now Fox through a buyout?) to service my AC. They sent two technicians, one of who was very nice and the other not so. The nice technician said up front that it was too cold to get a good reading off the AC, and I offered to set another date. The not-so-nice technician insisted it could be done by wrapping garbage bags around it.They were already out, and the not-nice one was insistent, so I let them look at the AC unit.The nice technician got to work looking at the units in the attic, and the not-so-nice one started asking questions. During the conversation, I mentioned that I had had trouble over the last couple of years because the refrigerant was low, and they were able to add some, and it worked fine. The not-nice technician immediately started talking about a new unit without any diagnostic effort saying that the cost of a new unit might be cheaper than putting refrigerant in. He said that even if it worked, the hole is likely bigger because they grow over time, so it would likely fail anyway.It felt like we were in a verbal jousting match and ended up with the not-nice technician going down to look at the outside unit. He looked at it briefly and pointedly noted that it was missing a sticker that goes right here. (It looked like he was just pointing at a random blank spot). He said he would have to start putting the refrigerant in and weighing it out because there was no sticker on the unit. I guess there is no way in todays age to get from a model number to information about the specs of a device.At that point, I was done. I paid their service fee and asked them to leave. The parting words from the not-nice technician were, We wouldnt put in a unit for you anyway.I still dont know how a garbage bag would help, but there you go.

Terrific Service. My AC stopped working. Ramiro Espinoza arrived promptly and went to work. One look at the thermostat and he knew the problem. Batteries! Put two new ones in and voila! Cool air circulating.

I called Precision when my A/C went out. After the diagnosis, Gage and Konnor arrived today for the repair (during the early part of their arrival window, which is always appreciated) and had the repair completed in less time than they committed to. Ive had great service from Precision every time Ive used them!

Glass and George were excellent. Installation of new HVAC system was going swimmingly, but then they came across some kind of problem with the furnace board theyve never encountered before. They managed to troubleshoot it and got the system up and running. Great technicians!

Ramiro Espinoza came out the night my AC stopped cooling. He was able to get it up and running quickly. The system still needed work done and Ramiro explained everything. He came back out a week later and got the work done quickly. Hes was very friendly and professional. Give this man a big lunch!

We just had our HVAC system replaced, and we are very satisfied with the work that the installer Juan and his team did. It wasn’t the easiest of jobs, but they got it done fast and were very easy to communicate with. Our representative was Matt Walker, who was also very responsive and helped us every step of the way!

Update: The sales rep was able to get an appointment for first thing this morning and made the arrangements well after office hours last night. So, that effort is appreciated. Also, the install took about two hours this morning, and the team has already left. No issues from that either. In short, the issue was fully resolved within 24 hours. In addition, the rep felt sincere by his tone and efforts to correct the mistake, and due to those efforts, I believe the experience overall has been a positive one.Original Issue: They were supposed to replace my AC this morning, but no one ever showed or called to update me.

Romero is really good. He knows our house and he knows his job. We rely on him to take care of our systems. That faith has paid off. We dont want to try anyone else.

As soon as I called, the dispatcher was friendly, helpful, and had assigned my issue to a repairman right away.Jordan was professional, quick, and thorough with all of his explanations on what we needed to address. He helped identify issues with my refrigerant leaking, mold growth, and a frozen over unit. He quickly addressed everything and got me on my way in less than two hours.The prices, although I cant really compare to others, seemed fair for the work and Im happy to have went with Precision!

This is definitely a great company! 8/19 The technician was able to make it to my house within hours of my initial call. Shane was extremely helpful and thorough when explaining everything (in terms I was able to understand). He walked me through every part and piece that we had issues with. Once he determined what needed to be repaired, we were on the schedule several days later waiting for parts. 8/22 Unfortunately, the manufacturer/warehouse flubbed the delivery of the part (damaged the part and didnt send... and didnt inform anyone at Precision) so I was completely shocked when learning that my part hadnt arrived and they wouldnt be able to install that day. The office team at Precision called me various times throughout the day to keep me up to speed on the progress of replacing the part. GOOD NEWS: I got a phone call (same day) that they WOULD be able to fix our HVAC after all. Adam and Jorge showed up, hottest time of the day, and got us up and running!!! There were some bumps in the road and the entire Precision team made it right. I would definitely recommend this team to everyone! Great Job!

We worked with Geoff and he was super professional and friendly, right from the start when he made a trip to our house even though we originally missed his visit. Geoff not only quickly diagnosed our issue, he took the time to explain to us exactly what was going on and made short work of what was wrong. He was super quick and effective and just an all around very pleasant guy who helped our family out of a jam on the first hot week in Austin! Thank you Geoff, you made a difference! Highly recommended!
