He kept me updated on what he was doing, and which part of the house he’d be in which I really appreciated. Having a stranger do work in your home can sometimes feeling intrusive, but his presence was comfortable - like an old friend helping out. Continue reading if you like boring details. 🤪I had a new replacement unit (Carrier) installed back in June. Worked great through summer.This is a third unit for upstairs guest and game room which gets used only when needed.Since winter hit, I’ve not needed to use it so it’s been off.Decided to make sure the heat function works today so I turned it on in heat mode.Let it run a bit but barely felt any heat.I expected the heat strips to come on since it was so cold outside and the rooms were below 50 as a starting point.My other heat pumps have heat strips which activate quickly if the outside air is too cold or the inside temp is 3 degrees colder than the asking temperature.This new unit had different operating parameters and apparently takes 15 minutes or more trying to use just the heat pump before turning on the aux heat strips.In summary, Jonathan performed a thorough examination of the unit operating parameters and shared them with me, along with the aux delay characteristics. The unit is performing as expected and I just need to be aware of the aux heat delay. They were kind enough not to charge me for the trip. I will be using them for my future business!

We found Atlas after watching their informative videos on Youtube. They post their prices on their website—which was extremely helpful. Their office staff was easy to reach and provided excellent customer service. Frank and Rey were the technicians who installed the new ac and heater. They notified us when they were on their way even providing a picture of Frank in the notice. They were on time and got right to work. Their workmanship was really sharp. They knew the code standards and worked to set everything up neat and clean. They worked hard, were courteous, clearly explained the new system, and even swept the floor of my garage and vacuumed the hallway inside. We had great experience with my last Carrier AC unit (19 years of completely trouble free, perfect functionality.) We are excited to have this new more efficient system in our home. Atlas did exactly what they said they would do and did it for a fair price with great service. What more could you ask for?

Jorge was great! Took a look at our condensation issue, checked what was going on and checked the condo for temperature readings. Explained the problems and gave clear communication on next steps. I work with Atlas in our other home in San Antonio also and find them to be very professional, communicative and reasonable.

Joaquim came out to help us with our unit - which was never properly sized to begin with. He spent a considerable amount of time, thoroughly inspecting every room much of our ducting and machinery. He was totally focused and devoted to making sure we understood what the issues are and what needs to be done to fix the problem. I was very impressed and strongly recommend Joaquim and Atlas.

The experience I had with Atlas A/C today was exceptional. Frank and Ray and the entire crew gave prompt notice of his ETA and was on time! They represented the company extremely well and was very professional throughout the entire time.I really appreciate the fact that they took their time, and made sure the job was done correctly the first time. ATLAS A/C sent Jorge out to my house this morning to take a look at my AC system. He arrived earlier than the scheduled time, and gave a really great inspection. I appreciate his professionalism, courtesy, and patience to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend him for his expertise as an A/C Technician for A/C inspections and repairs.UPDATE: Today, ATLAS AC sent a crew out to install my new HVAC. They sent over Nathaniel and Leonardo who came right on time and were quick to get busy to remove the old AC and install the new AC.I live in Cedar Park and they drove all the way from San Antonio in a truck full of all their supplies needed to get my job done. When they were finished, Nathaniel reviewed the system set up with me. I looked in my attic as they added a new Plenum, and Nathaniel answered all of my questions about the air handler and the unit outside.I was very impressed with their workmanship and their quality standard because my new AC looks fantastic and operates perfectly. These guys are top notch. Thank you, ATLAS AC.2nd UPDATE: Today, I called ATLAS AC to come check out my condenser because it made a weird sound last night. This morning they sent Matthew over from San Antonio to Cedar Park to check out my system. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and swapped out my heat pump element with ease. He also checked my outside condenser unit for the right pressures. Then he taped up a small area at the top of my air handler to make sure it was completely sealed. Matthew did an excellent job and he was very polite and professional. Job well done. I appreciate that kind of service from an AC company. Thanks again ATLAS AC.3rd Update: Yesterday, I called ATLAS AC to request a follow up check on my condenser unit. Jonathan came over, checked on my new AC, and stated that all was working correctly. Jonathan was polite and professional, answered my questions, and explained what to expect under normal operating conditions. Again, Thank you ATLAS AC.

Jonathan was fantastic! Very thorough, patient, and answered all of my questions. His assessment and recommendations were honest and professional. He was very congnizant of costs, and walked me through the potential financial impact of everything so I could make the best decision for our situation. He even opted to do as much of a visual inspection as possible to spare us the cost of a leak test to help guide our decision to replace instead of fix our unit. We will definitely be calling Atlas for future A/C needs!

Had a new 4 ton Carrier heat pump installed in May. Excellent and prompt service. Recently the fan motor outside was pulling too many amps and was replaced under factory warranty. Again excellent and prompt service.Matthew performed a follow up inspection of the new unit in preparation of winter. He showed up on time. Communication between their office and me was excellent. Again excellent and prompt service. Well done to all.

We got an eye-opening education on the good, the bad and the ugly of the AC business when our unit stopped cooling effectively at the end of the summer.After a disheartening experience with a company that seemed more interested in upselling than figuring out the best solution (see my other reviews), I stumbled upon Atlas’ YouTube videos. I loved the honest, no-BS approach. The fact that unlike other places, their team is not working on commission. And that they put their prices right there on their website. Lucky for us, their home base is in San Antonio but they also have offices in Austin and I believe DFW.Just about every person we dealt with at Atlas was great. Kayla(?) spent 20 minutes providing super helpful answers to my newbie questions on the phone when I was trying to figure out next steps. Jorge confirmed the problem, explained the pros/cons of various options, then did an incredibly thorough pre-install inspection that involved mapping and measuring every duct and air vent in the house. Pete was very responsive, got us clear estimates and set up a quick install. Our install team (I believe Frank & Israel?) was fast, professional and did beautiful work. And after the job, Stephanie & Anna made the process of getting our Austin Energy rebate fast and painless.And on top of the great service, Atlas’ prices were very competitive. In the end, we opted to go with a full HVAC system replacement, upgrading from our old 2.5 ton to a 3 ton unit. We got bids from 3 companies and ballpark prices from a couple more over the phone. Atlas was over $1000 cheaper than any other competitor for the system replacement (including a mom & pop shop we liked and the Costco/ABC quote--after discounts--for just a 2.5 ton). Their prices for R410A refrigerant and a leak check were also significantly lower than a couple of the big-name companies you’ve heard of (though higher than our mom & pop Carrier shop, which would still be my choice for a quick repair/diagnosis on an older unit).The only remotely negative part of the experience was that after Jorge’s super-thorough inspection, we were put through to another guy on the phone who seemed pretty insistent that we needed a 3.5 ton unit. This would’ve required delays and additional $$$$ to upgrade our electrical system AND ductwork, plus disqualified us for the Austin rebate program. I finally had to politely but firmly say there was zero chance of that happening—especially since our 2.5 ton unit had worked just fine up till the end. It felt a little pushy and tone-deaf on their end vs. the great experience we had with everything else. It’s a reminder that you still need to do your homework and always get a 2nd opinion before pulling the trigger with any HVAC company. But if I had to do it over again, Atlas would absolutely be top of my list.

Atlas responded quickly to my online inquiry. They dispatched a tech within an hour. Jorge was on time and courteous, assessed our needs and we had a quote as promised.

Again impressed by Atlas. Excellent communication/ updates- we were waiting on a part that was back ordered. Got scheduled quickly once the part was in and Jonathan did a great job- he went above and beyond cleaning our minisplit. Highly recommend!

Johnathan performed a 6-month post installation check and maintenance on 2 airconditioning/furnace systems installed by his company, ATLAS AC REPAIR LLC. Like everyone I have worked with at ATLAS Johnathan went above-and-beyond. Though all ATLAS installations are done to the highest standards, Johnathan actually enhanced and improved mine while completing the normal preventative maintenace. On his own initiative he added extra stabilization and support to both the units along with other small enhancements. When I inspected the units after he left, Johnathans work ethic and professionalism was noticable. Jorge from Atlas AC is one of the best thorough AC technicians I have ever met. Im looking to replace my aging or should I say ancient 19-year old HVAC system. Not sure where to start. Jorge arrived on-time and done a complete analysis of my current HVAC system. Jorge spent over two and a half hours conducting an unbelievable detailed assessment of my system. When I say Jorge checked everything he literally checked everything. From the gauge of my wiring, size of circuit breaker, tonnage of current HVAC, size and location of air returns to location of every air vent. Snapped pictures of main thermostat and remote thermostat sensor, numerous pictures of the air handler both inside and outside the unit. Then Jorge went into the attic where he drew a detailed diagram/schematic of every duct and plenum along with the size and which duct connected to which room. I had to ask Jorge, why do you spend so much time checking out the existing duct size when it seems to have worked fine for the past 19-years. Jorge replied we want to be 100% certain that the system we install in your home works flawlessly. Last I must have asked Jorge a hundred questions, he took the time to explain and answer each one, if it was his field of expertise, questions he wasnt able to answer he said would be answered when my install estimate is finalized. Last if Atlas AC pays this much attention to details with their system performance evaluation I can only imagine how flawless a complete HVAC install will go! Jorge, Thank you!

Both times he was excellent; answered any questions we had, gave us insights and advice to educate us, really helped us out, and all while being a pleasure to have in our house and totally professional, careful, and on time. Three Atlas AC service vans with a team of 7 technicians, supervised by Israel, showed up today and installed three new AC units in my house. The installation job was clean and efficient. He was thorough in his inspection of my home and took time to look at things from all possibilities. I received texts when he was on his way, and had direct access to him via text. Early this year had I problems with my HVAC system heating and then later cooling the house. I had different companies come out and evaluate the system and it turned out there was a significant leak at the evaporator coil. I called several local companies to get quotes on 1 replacing the evaporator coil, 2 install a new air handler, or 3 install a new system. Three sent out a technician while two sent out sales reps. Atlas sent out a technician that visually inspected the whole HVAC system and took measurements. The others simply made visuals of the system. They all provided quotes the same day or the following day. After reviewing all of them, I decided to go with Atlas as they offered different options along with favorable pricing. I compared their offer to their online pricing and everything was pretty much in line. After asking a variety of questions about the size of the system, quality of the equipment, and additional options. I decided to go with them as the other companies would not match their cost or turn time. Their install technicians showed up on the scheduled day and were able to complete the work by the end of the afternoon. There was a glitch on the operation of the unit that was reported to them the same day, for which they came back the following day and corrected. Its been 2 months since a new HVAC system was installed and all appears to still be adequately functioning. I was hoping to see a difference in my utility bill but it still looks the same as the prior year with the old system.Overall Im satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism of the company. Ive already recommended them to one of my neighbors. Additionally, they also registered the equipment, put in the city permit request, and started the rebate and utility paperwork for me. The other companies indicated they would not do that.

Weve had our new new Carrier 15.8 SEREHVAC system for 2 months now in our loving it! Are electric bill has went down tremendously! They are the only company that I had found that offered pricing at their website and explain what you would need for your home. Prices are very reasonable compared to other companies. This was not an easy job to remove the 5 BTU equipment from the second story attic and replace with a new one. These guys didnt cut any corners and stuck it out till the bitter end. Great communication with Samantha at the Atlas! She promptly responded to any questions by phone or text. The initial diagnosis on my A/C was done by Jose Beltran and Johnathan. Both were very polite and listened carefully to the issue I had. They quickly diagnosed the problem and checked a few other things to make sure it wasnt a multi-point failure. The repair part had to be ordered so it could not be fixed on this initial visit.Jorge Rivero, was scheduled to install the failed component, several days later. I highly recommend Jorge. On arrival he listened to my description of the issue and double checked that the original diagnosis was correct before he dug in to replace the failed component. New part installed, A/C runs great. Will use Atlas AC again!

I had loud noise in my Carrier unit, Atlas send one their technician Jonathan was able to diagnose the problem very quickly, we found out it was the fan wasn’t installed correctly from the manufacturer, he adjusted it and noise levels dropped from 90 db to 70 db was great work very professional.He also ordered a new fan and motor under our warranty.

My house was at 95F in peak summer as my AC had finally died, that too in July. I needed a quote asap and a full new system installed. I called Atlas as I was watching their YouTube channel and was impressed. I had high expectations. It was not a great experience.What went wrong:- The appointment window given to me was 2pm-4pm but the tech reached my home at 6pm due to delays at the previous customer.- The technician walked upstairs without shoe covers and brought a dirty ladder in, which left dirt in my house. I had to remind the tech to wear shoe covers.- The tech was in my house for more than 2 hours , measuring , creating system drawings of the ductwork etc. , this was not needed at all as I needed a quote asap to replace my entire system. I didn’t need ductwork.- In spite of the fact that I asked for a full system replacement quote, the tech asked me for $89 fee before leaving. I asked him why, since no service had been provided. He then called the office to clarify and they told him it’s not a service call so he doesn’t need to charge me.- The company took 24 hours after the scheduled appointment time (2pm) , to send me a correct quote. The first one they sent, they had quoted the wrong system. I had asked for a 2-stage, they quoted single stage. I had to call them and ask for a correction, but by that time I had given up on them.Needless to say I went with another company who understood how bad my situation was, showed more concern, and provided me with professional and timely service the very same day.

March 2024: We purchased a service plan with Atlas and are glad we did! Jorge has come out multiple times, has been communicative, and addressed all my question.March 2023: We had a great experience with David, David, and Juan Carlos doing an all-day install at our house. We replaced a coil in one unit and the whole AHU in another. Our attic layout is very challenging, so the team very carefully disassemble the whole system and put it back to replace the coil. They were communicative through the process and even asked for a broom to help sweep after a 9 hour day of working on the AC. They went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were answers. We will be Atlas customers forever because of that experience.

Jorge was very kind, but wasn’t able to diagnose our problem in over two hours. He said the entire AC needed to be replaced. The second opinion we got found there was hardly any Freon in our system. Jorge said he couldn’t get his tools into the AC to move forward with diagnosing, but somehow the other tech was able to let us know what the issue was within 45 minutes.Our home is now cool for the first time since we moved in.I am not a disgruntled tenant. I know how these things work. Jorge literally said he wasn’t able to diagnose the problem standing in my living room talking to me. He never once mentioned Freon, which the person responding to the review did. He said he called his boss multiple times but he couldn’t get his tools in the A/C to properly diagnose.He said it was a waste of time to continue as it needed to be replaced. I’m simply leaving the information I was given in my home, on this review. Shame on the responder of the review for calling names. We were well aware we needed to wait for approval and were happy to do so. I wouldn’t want someone telling me the system was old and needed to be replaced, if that was not the case. He looked me in the eyes and said it is “old and needs to be replaced”, but that was not what needed to happen. So either he didn’t know what he was doing or he was giving me the wrong information, both of which aren’t great business practices. Neither is calling someone a disgruntled tenant….

Great communication from Atlas! Probably the most effective level of engagement from any repair company in Austin so far. Jorge Rivero from Atlas AC was extremely knowledgeable about the issues with our unit. He diagnosed the problem with in a few moments and installed a flow switch.He also noticed immediately that a few critical components weren’t sealed properly, which created more condensation than normal. This was resolved quickly. Afterwards, Jorge flushed the primary and secondary lines to remove any blockages.Jorge was super chill and very attentive to the issue at hand! I called Atlas AC to get a price quote for replacing my outdoor condenser unit due to having gotten a leak test diagnosis from another AC company claiming the outdoor condenser was not holding pressure. The quote from the original AC company to replace the condenser unit seemed high. Atlas had a very competitive price, so I scheduled them. They installed a new condenser, but the system still wasnt holding pressure. They diagnosed a leak to the inside evaporator coil, and offered me some very reasonable offers to either replace the coil and keep the new condenser, or they even said they could take back the original condenser (since they suspected it was actually fine) and just replace the coil, even though it was not there diagnosis that led to having the outdoor condenser replaced. They were very accommodating. The service people (Jorge, Juan Carlos, and Nathan) were all very professional, very thorough, and went above what I expected. Pete (in the office) was also super helpful and responsive. I highly recommend Atlas AC and will use them again.

I hesitate writing a review of this company because its going to be so good I am going to end up sounding like a shill. After finding my HVAC system on the fritz, I called Atlas on a Wednesday. They sent Jonathan out to our home the next day. Jonathan spent 3 hours evaluating every part of our home envelope for a new HVAC system. Jonathan blew away the competition. Others did a cursory look and gave me a quote. Not Jonathan. Jonathan was all over our home, evaluating the number and size of vents, looking at wiring, evaluating return ducts and on and on. After he left, I knew Atlas was going to get my business, no question. I had a bit more for them to do than just an install. I wanted ducts replaced, an additional cold air return installed, etc. They submitted their quote came in later that day and I immediately scheduled install the following Monday.Install was timely and impressive. Isreal, Frank, Matthew and crew were phenomenal. They all paid close attention to details that left me grinning like a Cheshire cat. I am left with a superior system at a very competitive price. I have no doubt whatsoever about the quality of the equipment and install. Your equipment is only as good as the install, folks, so why spend years wondering if you made the right decision.Folks, I own a business. I can recognize a business that is just going through the motions. That is not Atlas. Atlas is a professional organization that takes pride in their work and end product. No pressure. If I could give this company 10 stars I most definitely would. Atlas AC was contracted by our property management we rent from. From day one Joey and Phyllis were on top of scheduling and assuring us of every step thru our process. We had a few issues with our system so we had a few days of work done. We had two different technicians come out, both named Jorge. Both technicians were very professional and valued us as customers to make sure we didn’t live thru these terrible summer temperatures of 104 degrees. Atlas AC replaced a 27-year old heat pump system at my house in the HEAT of the summer and did a great job. Price was great, communication was great as was the finished installation.I learned a lot from their Youtube videos discussing all of the decisions one must make when replacing a HVAC unit. I got several quotes from other AC companies and am pleased I went with Atlas AC Repair.

Jorge with Altas in Austin did an exceptional job at explaining all potential issues that may have caused our outage as well as resolving the issue. He made me and my wife feel comfortable with the root causes and talked us through how he will fix the issues.

My AC unit went out in the middle of the night, I called up to set appointment the same day. We set up a 5pm appointment and we’re told that they had a window of showing up, and they showed up earlier confirming if it was alright. Jorge showed up to fix our AC very quickly and effectively. He explained things well for me and put me at ease that our AC is working well. George Rivero was quick and knowledgeable when fixing our AC unit. He came in, politely introduced himself and immediately asked me to explain the issue in my own words even though he already knew the overall problem. It was nice to feel heard and not brushed to the side because he knew what he was doing already. He figured out the problem quickly and explained his process throughout the visit. At the end he showed me everything he did, explained it all again to make sure I understood and even gave me a few pointers on running our AC in the summer to save money yet still keep it cool. Most importantly, I didn’t feel like I had to sit next to him while he was in my home. I let him do is thing and went about my business, George Rivero was very trustworthy and I would absolutely recommend!

I started researching different AC companies over the last 6 months when I knew my heat pump system was at the end of its life. After watching the videos on Atlas ACs youtube channel I was sold on them. I had them install my new heat pump system inside and outside units. The whole experience was great and the price was fantastic. The initial technician Jorge, the salesman Pete, and the installers Israel and his father were top notch. No commissions and upfront pricing! They didnt try to sell me anything I didnt want or ask for.
