Our stove’s heating element went out, and they responded promptly to diagnose the issue. After ordering the necessary part, they returned about a week later for the installation, which was quick and efficient. Kendall did an excellent job!
Was referred to ABA by a friend who they helped and he was very pleased. Called about my BlueStar propane range and they came out the next day. I requested Garrett and they said no problem. He showed up right on time, diagnosed the problem, had the part with him so it was fixed in about 30 minutes. Very happy. Highly recommend ABA Appliance
Our Bosch wall oven just stoped doing what an oven is supposed to do. ABAs tech Kendell diagnosed the problem and after 3 attempts to get the correct control board which was made almost impossible because the manufacture didnt list the correct model number on the unit itself. Through perseverance they finally uncovered the correct board with the correct programming for this particular oven. They followed through with the job and throughout the entire 3 week process the people of ABA Appliance Repair were Professional, Courteous, Prompt and never gave up to fix my oven. Well done ABA and especially Kendell who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I will use this company for any and all of my appliance repairs.
Thank you for your help with my washing machine! I am so glad you could repair the machine instead of replacing it. This is the 2nd time I have used ABA Appliance Repair and can easily recommend them. I saved their number in my phone.
Jeremiah did an awesome job. He was very thorough in finding and fixing all the issues with the ice maker. He stayed until everything was working. Highly recommended.
Great company. Quick service and technician was knowledgeable and courteous. I’ll definitely call ABA whenever I need an appliance repaired.
EXCELLENT service! We called out another company to help fix our Bosch double oven and it was a complete debacle. We called ABA and they were out the next day. Everything went seamless -- they even caught another issue and fixed it right on the spot. Just in time for Thanksgiving :) Oh, and they even set my oven clock before leaving..its the little things that show an extra level of professionalism.
I had a great experience speaking with Laura. She was polite, professional, and very helpful in addressing my questions. Her customer service was excellent and helped make my experience with ABA great!
Garrett was excellent!!! His professional attitude and vast knowledge made me feel extremely comfortable with his work. He did a fantastic job in diagnosing quickly and fixing the issue even quicker. Thank you Garrett!!!
We had multiple appliance issues happen at once and John was able to diagnosis the issues, order the necessary parts and fix our appliances promptly. Scheduling was very easy and the notification of when the technician is coming is a great feature! Highly recommend John and ABA Appliance.
I am extremely grateful with Kendall Jacobs hard work every time I have needed his expertise in repairing one of our kitchen appliances!! ABA Appliance has always given great service and been patient with all my questions/requests.
They were responsive to my phone call to set up an appointment, and they were prompt in coming out. When I made the appointment to fix the ice maker on my Samsung fridge, they told me that ice maker was part of a class-action lawsuit. But they ALSO told me there was a chance they could fix it and that there would be a $130 charge for coming out. That seemed like a risk I could take, so I went ahead and made the appt for them to come out. When the serviceman got here, he looked at it and said those ice makers are not fixable and said maybe they could fix it for $900. Had they told me they were not fixable instead of saying there was a chance they could fix it, I would never have had them out. When I called them to ask if they would refund that money based on what they had told me initially, they refused. Poor, poor service.
Our Tech was quick to diagnose our problem and back in a few days to replace the broken issue. Used ABA for many years and never been disappointed in their service
The service was outstanding... professional, friendly, prompt. The technician replaced the ice maker system, so I now have plenty ice. He checked to make sure the refrig was cooling properly. I highly recommend ABA.
Michael was amazing! He was very informative and helpful and explained to me what was going on and was able to show me. He was very friendly and solved both of my problems quickly. Excellent customer service and expertise! I will use this company and request Michael for any appliance repair from here on out!
Garrett Salazar was very professional and knowledgeable. He identified the issue with our trash compactor and had it repaired quickly. Courteous. Punctual. Efficient.
My technician was Michael Ramon - fast, polite, professional! The office team was also very fast and responsive - they were 10/10 great and I will not hesitate to reach out next time I need an appliance repair! They replaced the heating element to my Samsung dryer of four years
Cameron Whitson was on time, extremely friendly and professional. Made the entire process easy for my 85-year old father in law.
Installed a new ice maker in my Whirlpool fridge. Michael was patient in showing me how to install a filter. Also checked out a small issue with my Viking Range that he fixed in less than a minute. Now my 4th burer is woking again. He was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly.
Fantastic service!! On time and a timely fix to our oven. Jeremiah was very professional and personable. Will definitely use them again.
Arrived on time. Did annual residential plumbing inspection and flushed to gas water heaters. Professional, polite, knowledgeable, and very happy with the service.
I called for a repair. Was answered immediately. The lady was polite and professional. Set up everything. The repair man showed on schedule. Contacted me with the issue. Repaired the issue. It was perfect. Everything was perfect.
This company is always efficient and has fair pricing. I’ll keep coming back to ABA for all our appliance repair needs. Call them. You won’t regret it.
Had an issue with my AC Unit, and after some troubleshooting, diagnosed it as a failed capacitor. Called and asked if they could give me the part number for the fan motor and capacitor (fan motor just in case), and they took my info to see if they could get that for me. Within minutes, Ceegan emailed me the info I needed. No hassle, no judgement, exactly what I was looking for. Replaced the parts, and now I’m back in business! The information they provided was invaluable to me, and would definitely consider hiring them should a bigger issue arise. Thanks, ABA!Disclaimer: you probably shouldn’t do ac repair work yourself, as it could end up costing you way more. As I was in a previous career certified in computer repair, I was confident in what I could and could not do.
Everyone was easy to work with and Cameron the Tech was really helpful answered all my questions and did a terrific job of fixing the problem. Highly recommend.
Jeremiah just came out to look at my washing machine. He was so pleasant! He gave the machine a thorough going over. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained things to me clearly. I am so happy to know about ABA Appliance. It’s so good to have a company you can trust!
I have used ABA for my biannual HVAC checkup for over 10 years. The technicians have always been on time, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The technician Brandon McGinnity has provided excellent service and information.UPDATEABA technician Brandon McGinnity is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. During Jan 2025 I requested service calls twice for concerns I had with my HVAC. Brandon assessed my system and assured me everything was okay. He found the cause of the problem and all I had to pay was a service call. He didn’t say something needed to be replaced or changed. A very honest service technician.
ABA Appliance Repair came and fixed my dryer! Great communication, professional service and affordable pricing! Ill definitely call them again!
I had 2 service people come out - both on time, knowledgeable and helpful. The first did maintenance/checks on both my washer & dryer - and identified the cause of the issue we were having. He did his part and called the expert in the issue correction. They were great, fixed the problem and I now have a company I trust to call for appliance repair in the Austin/Spicewood area.
Michael is an excellent tech!! He took timeTo explain what the problem was with my fridge, and why I was having issues. He shared what brands are best, along with additional nuggets on how to care for my current appliances.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We have been a customer of ABA for over 5 years! Best service- thank you again Michael!
Team was flexible with my work schedule. Technician was on time and personable. I am pleased with the quality of work!
Quick inquiry for washer repair, 30 min later technician on site w part in the van. Done in another 30 min. Very fair, friendly service.
Extremely disappointed with this repair service. They *were* prompt in coming out on the initial service call. But that was the only good thing in my experience with them. The technician eventually indicated that my gas cooktops regulator had gone bad and needed to be replaced. But I already knew that, because Id already paid ANOTHER gas plumber to check out the line and he already told me the regulator was bad. So basically they were just coming out to spend time doing the same check and coming to the same conclusion. They quoted me $450 for the part+service, and took half as deposit while they got the part from the warehouse. Then I never heard anything else from them. After a week, I called to ask the status, and they said they asked their vendor and were told the part was backordered for another week. They promised to call me when it came in. But no call. Two full weeks more I waited (total of 3 weeks), still nothing. I called in again, quite irritated, and they basically were just shrugging it off saying they cant control vendor back orders, and had no idea when the part might come in. Hung up frustrated.Later that day, they called me back to tell me theyd found out the part in question was fully discontinued (including any substitutes), and they were no other ways to get an appropriate part. They said the only option was to replace my whole cooktop (which they dont do).Of course, they still took their $125 service fee, only refunding me about $80 difference off the deposit I paid 3 weeks earlier. Really sucks. But heres the final kicker: I googled that exact gas regulator part, and found multiple different sites that sell it and have plenty in stock. And that part only costs $40. So how was this going to cost $450 for service!?All these jokers needed to do was a quick google search during this 3 weeks, and get the part cheaper elsewhere, and then fix my cooktop. But they dragged their feet for 3 weeks, then blew off the work. Wasted my time, took my money for basically no help at all (since I already knew the part needed to be replaced).Extremely bad business practice. First of all, they should have got the part from elsewhere. But even if they werent going to do that, they shouldnt take a deposit on a part that they know they cant guarantee when its going to be available. They should have taken just the service visit fee at first, then taken the rest (as deposit) once they had an in-stock verification for the part. Or they could have refunded that $80 difference *while* they waited on the part, and then re-charged once the part came in. Or, any of a half dozen other better ways to handle this. But they choose the worst possible path.Do not use this repair service.
Quick and easy oven repair…as smooth as it can be! Really appreciate the team at ABA Appliance Repair…Highly recommend!
Michael did quick, expert work on our refrigerator’s icemaker. Friendly, pleasant fellow who was easy to talk to and explained the work well. The only downside is the price of service being so high, but I figure it would be costly regardless of what company did the service. We will use them again if in a repair situation.
Michael with ABA Appliance was easily one of the most respectful, knowledgeable and polite technicians I’ve ever experienced. He explained everything and was very thorough. Hopefully I won’t need any additional service calls for a while, but if I do I’ll call ABA and ask for Michael.
Shawn from ABA is wonderful! He took his time to really figure out what was going on with my dryers and was very professional and cheerful. He even cleaned up after the job was finished. I highly recommend him and ABA.
Quick response and excellent technician. He solved a very complicated issue with an ice machine. Will absolutely use them again!
I called ABA Appliance Repair yesterday requesting someone to diagnose my washing machine. I was able to secure an appointment the owing day. Michael Ramon notified us when he was on his way to our home. Diagnosed the washer, told us the problem and hiw much it would cost to repair. Michael was friendly, efficient and courteous.
Prompt service. Problem recurred and they sent a very experienced technician, Michael, who thoroughly evaluated the refrigerator and made recommendations. Very pleased with service
Great, great service! Michael was wonderful, very respectful, responsive and helpful. I am so glad I called ABA Appliance they did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They were upfront with pricing and kept me apprised of what was going on. I will definitely use them again!
ABA Appliance Repair provides excellent technicians and service. I have used them for repairs to my older Whirlpool washing machines. Fast AND efficient. John Beaman is professional and knowledgeable.
Unfortunately, I am unsatisfied with the company. They sent a gentleman out here to look at a warmer and oven which the door wouldnt close. He quoted me $630.77 to get the door to close (the cost of 2 hinges). I decided to take a look at it myself, I can by the hinges online for $92 for the set and replace them myself. Id say beware and shop around...you will end up paying them for a service visit ($43) weather they fix it or not (ie. for the way high quote).Good luck-Funny, I don’t recall this event, as it was over twelve years ago. They just replied to my comment from way back.
I do not recommend this company and will not use them again. My fridge was not working properly and I paid $140 for a technician to come out and tell me that the parts needing to be replaced are no longer manufactured. I provided the fridge model number prior to the appointment, so this could have and should have been checked prior to sending a technician. At the appointment, the technician said that he would do more research and would let me know in a few days if he could find any suitable replacement parts. I called to follow up two days later and still have never received a call back.Extremely disappointed in this companys customer service and complete lack of quality of work.
John B. was excellent. Quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. Would recommend his and his companies services.
Wow. It’s such a refreshing experience to deal with an experienced expert who can diagnose a failure, order the right part, and get us up and running faster than he said. Great job.
ABA was friendly and professional from the first inquiry phone call. Technicians Jeremiah and Michael were excellent. They diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher and came the following week to install the part. They were thorough, very professional and stayed to make sure the dishwasher was working properly. I can’t recommend them enough.
Michael was a great representative of ABA, he was very professional and helpful and it is because him that I will be calling on ABA in the future. He came in and immediately identified what was the cause of our dishwasher not draining. He resolved the issue and gave us confidence that we would not have any future issues as related to our draining issue.
My experience was fantastic! Fixed my washer quickly an service was perfect
ABA has been great to work with! The response time from calling to schedule a service call to my appt was so prompt. Michael came out and fixed my issue + explained it in a way that I understood. He is an excellent technician; very knowledgeable, respectful and courteous. Thank you so much!!
If youre like me, you dont call a repair company until something has broken. I chose ABA Appliance Repair because of their reviews on Google, and they were exactly right. They showed up on time; were very professional and considerate, explained exactly what had happened to my washer, and had the right replacement parts on the truck! Took care of it quickly, and were on their way. Will definitely use them again when something else breaks! highly recommend.
Michael was friendly and efficient. We used him to fix the oven at our rental property and he did such a great job that we had him come out and fix our fridge when it was on the fritz.
Shawn and Jeremy were professional, courteous and took great care with our dishwasher repair and installation of new disposal. They were great to work with and were able to come the same day I called for an appointment
Michael did a great job of fixing my dishwasher. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient in answering questions.
Michael was extremely helpful. He showed up ahead of time he even took notice of our dog sign and called before ringing the bell. He even instructed me on how to fix my oven and showed me what to do in the future in case the issue happened again.
Jeremiah provides excellent service. He diagnoses the problem quickly and fixes it when others could not. Highly recommend . He has fixed our dishwasher, gas range, dryer.
Michael R. came out to replace the ignitor in our oven. I appreciate his knowledge, reliability, and patience since our oven model # had rubbed off.
SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE. I contacted this company 1/30/2023 for a washing machine repair. The technician was unable to service my machine because he said it was too heavy and that he was unable to move the machine due to a personal health condition. I moved the machine the same evening, ALONE, after watching some You tube videos, and determined that the machine was unplugged. My washer started working immediately and has been since. When I contacted the company to report LACK of service, their staff told me that I was at fault since I did not inform them that I have a large machine. My home is small and has a standard size washer. They came ill prepared and the technician was not well enough to provide a service repair. As of 9/19/2023 ABA applicance company is threatening to file THEFT OF SERVICES on me if I do not pay the 140.67. They never contacted me regarding whether or not I was satisfied with the service I received and whether my machine was working. They simply want payment or else... They do not deserve any stars.
Michael provided excellent service when he repaired our oven and dryer. His work was efficient, quick, and left everything in perfect working order. Highly recommend!
My washer was having issues I called ABA and they were able to get a repair man out the same day. It was having an issue draining the repairman took my machine apart and was able to find my pump had gotten clogged by a sock. He was able to clear out my pump and the washer has been working great ever since! I will definitely call these guys for any future appliance issues i have!
To put it succinctly and bluntly, I have rarely, if ever had a better, more informative, professional, knowledgeable, and punctual service technician do a home repair. If the work Aaron did is a reflection of ABAs employee pool, then I wholeheartedly recommend them without reservation. Outstanding.
Michael did a fantastic job with our microwave installation. He was on time and efficient and answered all of the questions I had. Very professional. Highly recommended.
I had a refrigerator that wasnt working. I called ABA and they sent a technician out. This kid, literally, stood in my kitchen for 10 minutes admiring my house before telling me to buy a new refrigerator. He did not diagnose anything or give me an estimate for repair. I began searching online for a new fridge, and just happened to pull my fridge away from the wall a little after the technician left. My fridge has been working fine for over 2 months since I pulled it away from the wall a little. I called ABA and asked to speak with someone about the level of service they offered. They said someone would call me back but no one ever did. I ultimately protested the charge with my credit card company, and ABA provided a complete lie of a report, saying they called me and talked to me, they diagnosed the refrigerator as having a bad compressor, etc. Nothing they said to the credit card company was true. But they made sure they collected their $140 for the service call. I would never use this company.
Weve been working with ABA to handle our HVAC and appliance repair needs for the last seven years across our portfolio of rental properties. I can say without a doubt that ABA is committed to the same levels of professionalism, ethics, and quality that we require from everyone we work with. Their drive to provide long term, quality repairs and advice has set them apart from the many vendors and companies Ive worked with over the years.Theyre not in it for a quick fix Band-Aids that keep you coming back month after month to get fixed again. Theyre interested in quality repairs and advice that stands time. We trust ABA to care for our properties, tenants and clients. Thanks yall for all your hard work!
From dispatch to our service tech. Great communication and the tech has gone above and beyond to take care of us. Offering additional information to help us get all we can out if our appliances. Well done ABA!
I had no oven for over a year. The oven was fixed in about 20 min. He new just what the problem was. Thank you all 😊
Garrett did a great job with repairing our LG dishwasher! Highly recommend him, thanks very much
ABA Appliance Repair, Inc.’s employees are perhaps as well trained, knowledgeable and experienced as one could ever expect.. of the absolute best.I’ve contracted for the services of businesses in twenty cities, in 16 states. I own a construction service business that is licensed to repair and construct in all 50 states; I’ve employed more than 5,000 construction services personnel in the last 40 years, so I’m speaking from experience.I am humbled by the firm’s excellent service, starting in the back office, and all the way to my kitchen.I make an appointment, get a confirmation, get notice of pending arrival, get excellent or better quality. workmanship; and am pretty much in awe of the level of care, concern and awareness that the personnel in this company have for their customers. The service person knows the customer’s name when they arrive at the appointment, they are always on time; and if they are early, they call to ask if that is okay!!My advice is to work with ABA Appliance repair, especially if you need a well trained, competent, communicative person with unmatched skills (and the tools and equipment to go with it).I paid with a credit card, and had an email receipt, with an explanation of the services performed, including the name of the service person, before they walked out my door.I hope the service personnel that helped me read this, including Missy and Katelyn, Marcus, Jeremiah and the trainee that he was supervising (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name).Keep up the great work, and thank you for helping to make my life better.
Michael Ramon did an excellent job fixing our microwave. Prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.
Great service again! Ever time that we use ABA, we get excellent service.
Fast and reliable. All that you want in appliance service. I have called them several times for very new and very old appliances and they have followed through until completion on some very complicated issues. Excellent communication and detailed invoices for warranty work. Excellent!
ABA Has been Servicing my Residence for at least 10yrs. or more. Techs are not ONLY Knowledgeable, Friendly, Courteous, Professional, Efficient, and TRUSTWORTHY as well. Techs Justin and Alex also have Skills in other areas that enhance job performance. Theyre not interested in patchwork and will redo, replace, remake, modify, or whatever the job calls for. I RECOMMEND ABA For ALL of Your Appliance, Air-duct, A/C, Heating Diagnosis and REPAIR. In this day and time, youll want to be serviced by some of the best in the Industry. Ive NEVER Regretted the Quality of work that has ever been performed on my Residence. Thank You Mr. Erin and ALL Staff for Providing LICENSEDProfessionals for a Job Well Done.I am SATISFIED. 👍🏿Charles Sim-Mons.
I have my n byever been disappointed with my appliance repair experience with ABA. The companys technicians have always successfully repaired my appliances the first time everytime. I kike that me.
Have used ABA Appliance Repair for years and have found them to be reliable, fairly priced and professional. Jeremiah in particular is great. Have always thought hes given straight forward, honest assessment of problem and solutions. My experience with this business has been great. Their appointments desk tries their best to accommodate your schedule. The guys have been punctual. JPF
I would definitely recommend ABA Appliances, Inc. We have two very old ac units in our house, and have kept them running since we purchased the home 4 years ago. We were told by another company that our compressor was out and it would be a waste of money to replace it. I called a few different companies and got bids that were pretty high. I called ABA and asked if they could give us a bid. The owner returned my call the same day, and even gave me a quick idea of how much it should cost over the phone. His price was significantly lower than the others. He came out first thing the next morning, honored the price he had given me and even offered to start the same day. We now have two new ac units! Randy and the others at ABA have been fantastic! Weve had to do a few minor tweaks and they have been very quick to respond. (if it werent for our schedules, they would have been here the same day!) Everyone Ive dealt with has been very friendly and has gone above and beyond what I expected, especially after reading some of the reviews. Im picky about who I recommend, but I would seriously consider ABA for your next ac issue or purchase. (We even asked about the reviews and were given fair answers...I appreciate that!) So kudos to ABA...we will continue to use them with the kind of service we are getting!
So my dryer stopped working mid cycle around 4pm on Friday (of course). On Saturday I went online and found the website for this company and put in my online request for an appointment, I didn’t expect to hear back from them until Monday. Less then 20 minutes later I had already gotten a return call and an appointment for first thing Monday morning. I don’t remember the guys name, but he came in and diagnosed the problem but warned me that my dryer vents were getting clogged up and suggested having them come back the next morning to clear the vents and replace the blown fuse on the dryer. Tuesday morning I had Todd and Marcus come by, they were both polite, professional, and did a great job. Cleaned the vent, replaced the fuse and did an awesome job cleaning up afterwards. Todd was even nice enough to recommend someone he personally knew for a completely separate job I was was getting a quote for. These are my go-to guys for future appliance repairs! Very satisfied customer!
Shawn did a great job. He was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I will call ABA again for appliance repairs.
To say “Good HVAC folks are hard to find,” is a massive understatement. “Close to impossible” is more like it. Pretty sure I found one today, though. Blake with ABA showed up to fix my A/C that’s been out for almost a week. Sadly, the blower motor is out and has to be replaced. He took time to explain the problem, associated costs and wait involved for the repair. Not great news, but he was a straight shooter and was very courteous and professional. He also researched the warranty and is likely saving me over $1K for his efforts. Bad day, but without his help would’ve been much worse. Definitely the only tech I want working on my system.
Great professional service. I’m a repeat customer. They take care of my problems and give good advice.
I have a 2 yr old Samsung Dryer that the pulley went bad on. I called ABA and set up for a repair person to come out the very next day. The people I talked to on the phone were super nice. Ron came to fix the dryer... he was awesome! So nice, personable and did a great job fixing the dryer. All round, it was a great experience using ABA. I wouldve given 5 stars, but I felt the markup on the price of the belt was extreme adding to the service call rate.I would recommend this company for any appliance repair.Cheers!
Horrible business. I hired them to come to repair my fridge. 3 weeks later. My fridge still did not get fixed due to company has to order the parts where they do not have it in stock. First time using their service I am not happy at all. 2nd week the part came put the part on and apparently they need another part where they should have ordered it at the first place. And I had to call and check with them instead of they should have called me and notify when the part arrived. What kind of company is this. Very poor service. I would never use them again!!!!!!Week 4 of unfixed my fridge. After spending $530 and my fridge is still not working and they are asking more parts and no guaranteed that the fridge will work.I used to have a guy that repair my appliance inexpensive and he retired now. He will be honest with me that it is worth to repair or if I should get a new one. This company is a ripped off. I would never use them ever again.
The technician came out during an ice storm. When we called, they came out the very next day. The technician was on time, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and was able to fix our stove. Prices were very reasonable due to the circumstances, and the value was well worth it.
Our washer was broken and we immediately called ABA for their fast same day service. The technician was very kind and had all the equipment he needed for the job. He was in and out very quickly and the area required no clean up! We received an amazing service and will definitely be using them again for any of our future appliance issues.
My husband and I had ABA come out to do a maintenance on our A/C unit at our new home, we waited till the last minute to do so so I was very pleased when I called and they told me they could get out that same day. The technician that came out was very nice and professional, it only took him about an hour and he got me signed up on their yearly plan which was a lot cheaper than the previous contract we had had at our old home. I will definitely recommend this company and use them for all my household appliance and a/c service. Thanks ABA!
My refrigerator stopped working and I contacted Travis at ABA Appliance and asked for his help. He was able to schedule me in that afternoon and called 20-30 minutes prior to his arrival. He came in and determined the problem and fortunately had the needed part in his truck. My refrigerator was repaired in a short time by Travis and his helper for a very reasonable amount of money. I appreciate theirquick response to my problem and I will certainly call them again if the need arises. I also recommend this company.
Had a great experience with Jeremiah fixing our washing machine!
Michael ramon was an excellent service tech. would highly recommend this company because of him.
I would not recommend that anyone use this company for appliance repairs. If you do need to call ABA, first be careful of what you say on the phone. All phone calls are recorded. When the tech arrives at your home, remain with that person at all times. While the diagnosis is being made, take notes and make sound or video recordings. This documentation will provide protection for you later, should the need arise. In my case, the tech arrived for the diagnosis. He then stated the repair, ordered a new freezer fan, and billed me $388.62. On the second visit, he installed the fan. After two days with no improvement in the freezer, I called ABA and the tech returned for a third visit. He then performed a more extensive set of tests and reported that the freezer fan was not receiving any power. After admitting his error, he wanted me to purchase another part for approximately $300. At no time was there any offer to make good on his previously admitted mistake.
First of all I normally do not write reviews but when I had such great service I had to give ABA credit. Recently I had a couple different appliance issues at home starting with the refrigerator and next the heater. Randy and Aaron fixed the issues quickly and had great customer service! Not to mention they are very affordable and do quality work. I recommend ABA to all family and friends.
Have done business with ABA Appliance for 5 years. I have always been happy with their service. They know my AC system inside and out (fortunately/unfortunately). When they have replaced a part of my system, I know the repair has been done right. I have had the same service technician for all of my visits, and he is a delight, and the consistency is a plus. (he also captured a wayward lizard for me once, at no charge). Highly recommend.
Timely, efficient, thorough! Thank you, ABA-- well be back... or have you back-- either way!
We own multiple properties and my husband and I have utilized ABA for many years. They provide outstanding support. The technicians are competent and are very responsive( even their after hour service is good.)They have great pricing and excellent follow up. Also, special kudos to Misty and the entire office staff for all their help. Great company!!
I highly recommend this company - I broke my oven door the Monday before Thanksgiving. This company managed to find me the replacement part and schedule a repairman in time for me to cook my Turkey. They were fast, clean and went above and beyond even offering to help me get a new breaker from Home Depot. They have earned a loyal customer. Very knowledgeable, clean, and responsive. Thank you!
ABA appliances came out to fix my dryer today. Randy and Tyler were the nicest guys and so good at their job They fixed the dryer within an hour. Very reasonable price too. I would recommend ABA for all your appliance repair needs.
Kendall came in and knew exactly what was the problem. Very professional and people oriented.
We have been customers of ABA Appliance for over 8 years. They helped us during a very difficult time when our AC went out on a weekend and in the summer. They were out to our home immediately and replaced the unit within a day. It was awesome! Over the years, we have used them to help maintain our unit and recently when one of our parts malfunctioned, we called and there they were again, faster than any other company would be able to accommodate! Over the years and time and again, ABA appliance proves to be at the top of their game in Austin and the surrounding areas! I recommend ABA appliance to anyone who needs an AC company that stays ahead of this Texas Heat! Thank you ABA!
ABA did an amazing job repairing our Bosh Microwave oven. ABA made sure they were serviced regularly to prevent malfunctions and service interruptions. We use the company as our whole house service provider for all of our appliances. If my wife needs any help or repairs , she makes one phone call and it is done. Their team was very knowledgeable, friendly , their ETA is on point, charged a fair and affordable price for services. They listened to our inquiries, answered all our questions, provided comprehensive quotes and refrained from using pressure tactics to win our business. My family was comfortable and felt safe when ABA techs completed repairs and preventive maintenence services in our home. They even gave us the option of choosing of time of repairs. Since we have been using ABA, our appliances are running more efficiently resulting in a significant reduction in our utility expenses. Overall, we are beyond pleased with the complete array of quality services provided by ABA and have referred them to our friends, family and HOA. The staff is just awesome and they had great follow up skills.Wayne and Sandra
Technicians are knowledgeable and honest.I had them repair my refrigerator back in January and it was perfectly done. Recently had washer repaired too. Todd from ABA is very knowledgeable and helpful (forgot the other tech who worked on my refrigerator) Thank you guys!
I called ABA initially for refrigerator repair Jan, 2014. Service tech came out and stated I had a leak, and my evaporator needed to be replaced. I was asked for deposit so they could order the part. Part took 3 month to come in, ABA refused to refund my deposit during this time based on the back order time. Three month after evaporator was replaced (about 6 month after initial issue) same issue recurred. Called ABA back, this time they stated it was because of a faulty door, and stated they needed to order parts. About a month later they came back with incorrect parts, and got the fridge working. Worked for about a month, then failed with same issue. ABA came back, this time they blamed it on my compressor. I questioned them on changing parts and each time turning into temporary repair, they insisted I now had a bad compressor.I spoke to the ABA owner (Randy), and told me he would work with Sears to get me a compressor under warranty. Sears came out, and within 5 minutes diagnosed a slow leak in my condenser (not compressor as diagnosed by ABA), and mentioned the compressor was 100% functional. He stated the condenser had a slow leak, and would have caused the symptoms I experienced. By ABA replacing incorrect parts, and then recharging my coolant, it would result in a temporary fix.Morgan from ABA Appliance contacted me on 7/14/2015 to tell me her boss Randy agreed to provide me a refund of $714.14. On 8/1/2014, I contacted Morgan for a status, and she told me ABA changed their minds and without informing me would not provide a refund. My experience with ABA has been a living nightmare. In my opinion the technicians are incompetent, and the management is unethical.
They scheduled a visit, ordered parts and came back to fix our dishwasher during the holidays. We didn’t think it would be able to happen. Todd was knowledgeable, professional, and got us back in business quickly. I will definitely use ABA for future needs.
Was able to come out and fix my dryer the same day I called. Was about $300 said and done with tax, which I was satisfied with as that saved me the hassle of having to shop and have a new one delivered. The tech identified my problem within the hour and ultimately replaced the thermal element completely, as the original was warped, which caused it to touch the housing and cuase a short, which was causing other problems as well.
Did a major dishwasher repair in April which required ordering special parts. The repair did not truly fix the problem but at least the dishwasher was operational for three or four months. When it died again I called only to find out the warranty had just expired. Now have an electric oven to be repaired and will replace the dishwasher but would never use ABA again
I had a great experience using ABA. The man that came to work on my AC had all the right tools and parts to diagnose and fix my AC unit the same trip to my house. On top of their quick response the repairman was kind and informative letting me know every thing he was doing along the way. I would gladly use this company again for any of my appliance needs.
I called ABA to come out and service my LG refrigerator, it stopped cooling. The error message that the fridge was giving showed a fan error but when the repairman came, he said it was the main control board. We ordered the part @$429 +tax and he came back out a week later to install. He left, the refrigerator still did not cool. I called back, had to wait for him to return to look and he re-ordered the part along with a fan. Another week later, he returned, replaced the board again, and the fan and left - still the refrigerator was not working. The unit beeped randomly all night long!! I took and sent video of what it was doing at 11:00pm along with a temp monitor to show that it was not cooling. After the 3 visits, my unit was now not freezing nor was the chiller drawer working at all (which it was before). I called, ABA wanted to now send a Sr Tech. After 3 visits, 2.5 weeks + without a refrigerator, $500, now you want to send me a Sr Tech to check and make sure the wires are connected?, seriously?? What kind of customer service is this? I requested a refund several times but was told accounting says we did everything by the book. I even said I would pay the fee for the diagnostics visit ($95) but again accounting says they did everything by the book and followed all of their bulletins. Now if this was the case, shouldnt I have a working refrigerator? Now I am out the $500 plus a new refrigerator. I would NEVER use this company again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.
ABA was super helpful and honest in helping us fix our dishwasher. Big shout out to Michael Ramon for being such a great technician!
When they actually show up they do decent work, but scheduling with them is incredibly frustrating. They will set a 4 hour window to appear, not appear, and then claim the window shifted to a different (later) 4 hour block. If you work from home and have all day to wait around it could be ok. Otherwise it’s incredibly frustrating.
$1800 to replace a compressor for a refrigerator? It sounds like they don’t charge the same price for everyone, but maybe I’m wrong.Scheduled a repair for my refrigerator and they wanted to charge $1800 for replacing the compressor. The compressor cost around $400 (retail) from the sears website. I asked what the additional $1400 was for and they said thats what they charge. The refrigerator didnt cost much more than that new! They have refused to refund the $800 down payment. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and they have credited my card as ABA would not refund and ABA provided no products or services.I believe the reason they charged so much was because my Wife is not a native English speaker and they took advantage of the situation. I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office because I feel this is discrimination. I would like to know what the are trying to charge others for similar service.
Had a dishwasher issue, and the same day (late morning) I called, they had a technician to my home in the mid-afternoon. Super-professional technician (Jeremiah) spent all the time necessary to correctly diagnose the issue, and then ordered the parts for the repair. The next day, the manager (Jason) called saying they had the parts and that same day the same technician drove out and repaired our dishwasher.I will definitely use ABA Appliance Repair in the future for any appliance repair or HVAC needs. Many thanks!!
As a property manager we receive maintenance calls on appliances on a fairly regular basis. I have worked with several different repair companies in the past based on the model of the appliance, but ABA is now our go-to team! They are efficient, affordable & honest. I highly recommend ABA for all your appliance repair needs!
I would give zero stars if I could. We had them come out in July to look at our icemaker in our refrigerator that was 16 years old. They said we needed to replace. Makes sense after 16 years. Fast forward to November 3. Our ice maker starts leaking large amounts of water into the ice bin and onto the floor. I call today...sorry we only offer a 90 day warranty. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My first one lasted 16 years and the one they put in lasted 3 months? I should have read all the HORRIBLE reviews before calling this place. DO NOT USE ABA Appliance Repair!!
I had an issue with my refrigerator not making ice and the freezer defrosting all the time. I called ABA from a recommendation. I was very impressed by Aaron and Randy, both were very professional and knowledgeable. They fixed the problem quickly and cost effectively. I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg but they were very reasonable. I highly recommend ABA Appliance repair.
The work was good. Scheduling was difficult. When I called I was told that someone would call before the repair person arrived. However, I never received a message, just the repair persons business card was left at my door. I asked about the call and was assured it was made, although my phone history did not show it. Then it was five days before the repairman could come back. There were other appointments made before this fifth day, but the appointment would be from 8-12 or 12-5. When I had not heard anything by 11:30 or 4:30 I would call and ask to cancel for that day, because I had to leave the house. The repair people could not have been nicer or more efficient, but I did not feel that way about my contact at the office.
I was not impressed with this company. Technician was not friendly and seemed stiff and uptight. I thought the bid was kind of high and said that I was going to check prices first. I decided 1 hour later to approve the job but there were various delays during communications between the friendly receptionist and the technician. Finally after 3 calls and 1 day trying to approve repair, I was informed that they now needed a deposit. I am OK with deposits but I could not help feeling targeted, discriminated and ignored.
I have contacted ABA for repairs on several occasions. Each time the response has been quick, the repairs are made in a reasonable amount of time and the service is fantastic! The team is honest, knowledgeable and reliable. I have even left the key to my house for the them. I trust them that much.
The installation of our new air conditioning/heating unit was very difficult because of the small and very high opening to our attic. The unit had to be completely disassembled to get it into the opening, and then reassembled once in the attic. It also required a 12 foot ladder just to get in and out of the space. It took a very long time and the installers were at our home until after 9:00 p.m. They spent over 9 hours at our house for the complete install. They were completely thorough and professional and kept us informed as to their progress. We are very happy with the service we received.
Good experience up til the mention of a home warranty service. Wanted to still get their services after going in circles w/ the warranty company, but never received a call back after 3 trys. So was out of my $65 and had to start over paying another $65 with another company to do repairs on my A/C.
Michael, the service technician, was the perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism. I will definitely call ABA the next time I need service!
My Whirlpool dryer wasnt drying properly so I called the 800# on the door and Whirlpool service offered 2 possible solutions, one cost approx $149 with no guarantee the service call would cost more and the other was $309 for a 3 year plan and set up a service call for a WEEK later!....I hesitated but chose option 2 then googled whirlpool dryer repair Austin and ABA appliance appeared. I phoned ABA and they were able to come out the SAME day and the diagnosis fee was rolled into the repair fee and my dryer was fixed and I paid less then $149! I was very pleased with the service I received from ABA. I will for sure call them again if I have an appliance repair need.
Looking for a replacement for my 20+ year old system, I was reluctant to be spending $$$ on high end system that I didnt need. After speaking with Don (Office Manager) at ABA and him giving me the pros and cons of each system I agreed to getting a quote on replacement. The technician was on time to the appointment and gave me a thorough explanation and quote on the AC unit as well on a new furnace and adding new duct work in the attic.Don was very efficient in following up with me the next day and by the weekend I had a state of the art Bryant Evolution system in place for the HOT summer. This system is beyond awesome cooling and dehumidifying the house to keep comfortable and economical for power bill. I would highly recommend ABA Appliance and repair and the incredible service the team and Don provided. I also recommended to my neighbor for annual service for her current system and she raved about it. Thank you again ABA!!
My air conditioner recently went out, and even though it was not 110 degrees yet here in Texas, they treated my call as if it was their main priority. Their office staff was very pleasant and professional. The call was taken very quickly, and the service technician, was at my home within the hour. As he worked on the problem, he was very kind to explain to me what was happening, and how he would have it repaired in a timely manner. Needless to say, my home was cooled off, I was happy, and the technician could not have been more professional or pleasant. If I have any problems with my appliances or a/c in the future, this will be the first call that I make. Thank you ABA for everything you have done! --Darlene Law, your Newest Lifetime Customer
Worst Company ever to do business with.Bought 5ton A/C central Unit for my business. They did not install the drain line properly and now it is clogging up and secondary pan for the unit is also clogging up.I have it in writing that labor and part are warranted for 5 years. And now they want to charge me $189.00 for the install they did and fixing it. The technician came was very rude. Then I called the office talked to michelle and rachel both person very rude. They cut me off multiple times while I was still trying to explain what the problem was. When I called on Saturday person told me that warranties are not covered on the weekend Which I do not have it in writing. They will charge $60.00 for service call. I was without A/C at my Hotel Lobby for entire weekend until me and my employee figured it out what was wrong. Now I have to pay someone else to come and fix it and pay extra even though it should be covered in the warranty that I receive from ABA Appliances.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
AC was not cooling. Called in the late evening and Brandon arrived earlier than expected. Fixed my AC unit and was very pleasant to talk to. He did a great job and finishedquickly. Thanks
My whole house AC system needed replacement. I have nothing but great service from this company. They came out and had whole house system installed in a day. Great people to work with.
Not solution oriented. I called to discuss a recurring problem with my fridge and to ask whether a permanent fix was likely to be available (I had performed temporary repairs on my own, which involved thawing the drain line). The receptionist said a technician could look at the problem for a $90 fee. However the company would not make a technician available for a 30 second conversation to evaluate the likely efficacy of such a visit. I declined. When I called another repair person -- they discussed the issue with me and referred me to a third repairman who specialized in the particular issue. So much more helpful. A $90 site visit may be necessary in some situations, but not always -- especially when a client has some understanding of the issue. While the second repairman did not do the job, they earned my trust. ABA did the opposite.
After two other repair people came out to service an air handler and refrigeration unit for my wine room, Aaron from ABA came out and was like a wizard. Knew exactly what was wrong, knew exactly what to order and how to fix it. I was really impressed with his professionalism. Plus they were able to see me the next day after I called.
Weve used ABA a few times over the years, but my most recent experience was pretty negative. Our 6 year old Maytag washer was acting weird (hard to describe), so we called ABA. Actually we called several places and ABA could come out the soonest, so we went with that. The technician spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out what the diagnostics (built-in to the washer) were telling him, and finally concluded that the control unit (the little computer that runs it) was itself the problem. He said theyd order the replacement and asked for a half-the-cost deposit, for which I wrote a check for $220, which was his ballpark guess at half the parts & labor cost for the replacement.Later in the day (I was working from home when he was there) I started to think about the cost of the washer and determined that I could get a brand new and generally comparable Maytag washer for about $450 (not including tax etc). That was the cost of the repair, so I called ABA and told them that Id be happy to pay for the techs time and any shipping or restocking fees but I wouldnt be needing the part as I was ordering a brand new replacement.Over three subsequent phone calls, they would not consent to anything other than us giving up the entire deposit. Again, I felt completely OK with paying for the service call because duhh, the guy came to my house and worked for a while. But the idea that Im on the hook for part of the cost for a part I no longer need seemed really customer-hostile.Lesson learned: spend a little time thinking about the price of an appliance repair vs. a replacement, and keep track of the age of your machinery.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE.they will diagnose an issue, charge you a fee, and then the next day tell you need to pay more money as there is another issue!Last month I called ABA Appliance as my heater was not working. When I asked about their pricing they told me that they charge a 75 service call fee, however if I get my unit repaired the 75 will go towards the cost of my repair otherwise I would just py 75 for them to diagnose my unit to tell me what was wrong with it.When the technician Aaron arrived to my house he told me that he was able to determine why my heater was not working. He told me that I needed to replace my fuse and fix the condenser. He quoted me $387 total to fix my unit. I asked him if I paid the 387 if that would fix my heater and he confirmed yes, so I agreed to the payment.About 2 hours after Aaron fixed my heater I started to see fumes all over my entire house. It was smoky everywhere. We turned the heater off and called ABA appliance back. They sent Aaron back to my house the next day. When he arrived he told me that my heater still isnt working and that I would need to pay another 2682 to replace the air handler. This immediately frustrated me because I just paid them 387 the day before to fix my heater and he didnt fix it. If I would have known it was going to cost me 2682 + 387 to fix my unit I wouldve simply paid ABA the 75 service call fee and continued shopping. I agreed to pay the 387 as I was told that would fix my heater. ABA never set the expectation that if I paid 387 that there is a chance something else could be wrong. He led me to believe that he knew exactly what the issue was and how to fix it. I would have never allowed him to fix anything if that wasnt the true issue with my heater.Aba did offer to take ~400 off the cost to replace my entire unit however I declined that offer as I do not trust the company any more. I do not feel confident that if I pay them $3000 that my unit wouldnt break for a diff reason. At this time I feel as though services were not rendered. Ive attempted to call ABA to resolve the matter however they hung up on me multiple times and refused to speak to me (after I told them I would write negative reviews about them and potentially get a lawyer involved).I asked if they could come back to my house and reverse the service they provided (take back their fuse and the condenser). I wouldnt have agreed to replace these parts If I knew it wasnt actually going to fix my heater. I told them I have no problem paying the 75 fee for the service call however I do not agree to the 387 fee as I feel as though services were not FULLY rendered. I paid this fee under the impression my heater would be fixed and it wasnt.as far as my experience with management they are absolutey rude. When I informed the manager that I was going to write a negative review as I know the impact she decided to take it upon her self to email an old employer of mine (that I havent worked at for over a year) to tell them I was writing review after I mentioned I work for a marketing company. they assumed they knew where I worked by googling me however they were wrong. That was defamation of character by involving my old job although they had absolute nothing to do with my complaint.also, i wanted to say that the manager and staff hung up on me multiple times after I informed them that I would even consider getting a lawyer involved. they told me that I would be hearing from their lawyer, but I never got contacted. At the end of the day, I am an unsatisfied customer and cant even get an issue resolved with the manager because she keeps hanging up on me.Ive already filed a complaint to the BBB and will continue to file complaints everywhere else.
I have my best of class for an appliance repair guy.Called Aba at 8am, live person answered (Maggie I think)...very pleasant gal, setup an appointment for between 10-12 this same morning. Service man was in uniform, on time and took about 30 minutes to figure out the problem and then another 40 minutes to fix the refrigerator. Cost was $239 but they waived the service fee so that saved me $50 bucks. Plus I found a coupon they have on Yelp and used that to save another $20. Good experience and Id use again. And, the guy tried to get me covered on the warranty but it was just past the 1 year....at least he tried to help.
We have used ABA several times and they are great! Punctual, honest, friendly, reliable, and professional.
I had bought a new stove and called ABA and they came out the same day and installed it for me. Randy was such a nice man and gave me a great price on the whole thing. The company was very professional and had great customer service I will definatley use them again!
ABA Appliance was able to quickly get me on the schedule for an issue with a rent house. Strand Brothers came out 3 times and couldnt fix the problem (stuck damper in system). Fast, friendly, and competitive rates. They just may be our new go-to contractors for AC issues with our other rent houses.
Not a great experience. They gave me a huge window of wait time for a service. From 10-3. At around 3 pm I called because the tech didn’t show up yet.The operator told me that the tech was busy on other jobs and that they also quoted me the wrong price and said the new price would be over $100 more. She suggested I cancel the service which I did.Overall just a bad experience.
ABA Appliance Repair, Inc repaired my dryer and refrigerator within the last two months. On both occasions they did an outstanding job. Kendall fixed the refrigerator and Marcus fixed the dryer. They are both outstanding techs and did a great job. I highly recommend ABA Appliance for all of your repair needs.
The repair guy Marcus was very professional. He showed up early did a full diagnostic. He was super honest with the problem and the pricing to fix it. Unfortunately it would be the same price as a new dryer so I still have no working dryer BUT I will definitely be using ABA for all my future problems! Thanks!
After moving into a new house in East Austin, I had to buy a washer and drier unit. I bought a used set on craigslist and--surprise surprise--ended up with some technical problems, mainly the fact that the washer wasnt draining completely. I called the technicians over at ABA Appliance Repair and they tried to help me out over the phone but ended coming over to my house. I really appreciated that they offered a free consultation for the problem, and they were able to fix the drainage problem within an hour once they came over to the house. Prompt, friendly service, and best of all I was happy to support a local business!
The service was professional and quick Five Stars form our family
I have to brag on ABA! I love them! They have GREAT service; the technicians arrived on time and were very friendly. My dryer stopped working, I would turn it on and then a few seconds later it would stop. I called ABA and they were at my place the next day! They fixed whatever the problem right then! I would recommend ABA to any of my friends or family!
John Beaman provided exceptional services and guidance. Great experience.
My dishwasher would not run because it was getting overflow alert. I called ABA, they sent a service person over. He ran the dishwasher but it did not stop running while he was here. So he ate three cookies, surfed on his I-pad, made a note he could not get the machine to fault out, charge me $90 and left. He said it would cost $320 for him to come out again to install a $30.00 part.Of course as soon as he left it faulted out again. The next day, after much research, I pull the dishwasher out, found a clog, blew it out and now it is fine. This took me all of 40 minutes which I feel like he should of taken my word on this and checked the lines. The 5 out of 5 star reviews has got to be bogus.
Extremely unethical behavior. Charged me in full to replace a very expensive part on my washing machine. Never got the machine operational. I paid them for what they claimed to have done, then switched companies. The new tech says he is 100% certain that they did not install said part.UPDATE: ABA says that the part was installed, but that it was then removed pending further repairs. There were no further repairs through ABA, because I switched companies. When I told them I would be working with another company, they did not fill me in on the status of the job and charged me for the part and labor, despite the part not actually being in the machine at the time of payment, as outlined above. After I brought this issue to their attention, which was far more complicated than it needed to be, the $400+ I spend on the part was refunded. $130 in labor charges were not reversed.
I had a fantastic experience with ABA. They were punctual, professional and very friendly. The tech even took the time to give me some dishwasher use and maintenance tips. I would definitely use them again.
I have used ABA to repair my refrigerator and washer. Both experiences were great. The tech showed up on time, was polite, informative, and went out of his way to explain the various options available to fix my problems. I will use ABA for all of my appliance needs in the future.
They not only were prompt and friendly and fast, they fixed the ice-maker on my 24-year-old Maytag refrigerator, even though it took three visits (not their fault) to finish the job, which was not an easy or obvious repair. Great work and service!
Called in ABA to diagnose a two-year old wine cooler that’s not holding temperature. Appointment setting and service technician were positive experiences. Prognosis on unit is bad compressor, which has a 5-year warranty so I can get the part for free and only need to pay for labor to replace it. I was shocked to be quoted $1200 for labor to do so. The cooler, brand new, only cost $900. Based on a wealth of available information, I figure 2–4 hours total to replace the unit so that equates to $300-600 per hour labor rate. Let that sink in. What a sham.
ABA was great! They fixed my washer after it had stopped working in the middle of a load of laundry. I called and they came the next day during a time that was convenient for me. They were prompt and friendly and I would definitely recommend calling them in the future.
Our icemaker was frozen shut. We called to have it fixed, and they showed up without any of the tools needed to unfreeze it. They told us that it would cost $840 to fix it properly because they would need to replace the whole thing (could be true, not sure). We told them we dont need ice on demand that badly. They charged us $140 for this service. We still have a frozen ice box, but at least they showed up on time, right?
I stupidly tried to install an air conditioner by myself. Surprise, it didnt work right. I called around to a bunch of places and even had a couple people come out to the house to take a look. They all said they wouldnt work on a system they didnt install. I was even told just find some guy on craigslist by one of the techs from another company that came out. Not helpful.ABA not only agreed to help me, they did it quickly and without any lectures. The techs they sent out were very friendly and professional. Im very satisfied with the work, and the AC is blowing COOOOOOOOOLD. Thanks!
Unfortunately I have a rating for the work done yet only 1 week later the issue came again. I called and tried to have someone fix it and they claimed they would have to charge another fee plus to repair would be immense. Bait and switch company
I have never had a better appliance repair experience. The technician was professional and friendly. He fixed our oven with a simple adjustment and I was so impressed that I have enrolled in the companies A/C Maintenance program. All in all, very impressed. I will recommend them.
I have owned properties for years, and rarely have I ever gotten the awesome service and honesty I got from Aaron. He was on time, very knowledgable and professional, respectful, and really thorough, and so nice to deal with. I would definitely give these guys a try on your next A/C or appliance service needs. And request Aaron, if he is available, I know I will.
Washer quit spinning. Called ABA and service tech came same day. He had the part on the truck. It was the improved metal style and he said it would not break again.Very pleased with speed of service and installing upgraded part so wont happen again.
A technician came to my house to take a look at my laundry machine that has been making hellish noises and not working very well. After simply turning the machine on and listening to the noises it was making, he told me it would need a new transmission and in total, including labor, it would be about a $600 repair. If I dont want the repair, they would charge me $97 for the 15 minute technical diagnostics. He barely touched the machine. He didnt turn a single screw. One must turn the machine on its side to see the mechanics that exist in the bottom of the machine. He did not do this.Next day, I call ABA and express that im very confused about my so-called expert diagnosis of the problem. They tell me the technician is one of their 20-year veterans and they trust him very much. After getting talked-at by the owner of the company, I was hung up on.Next day, I watch some youtube videos for ten freaking minutes. I go outside and disconnect my machine and turn it over and take off a couple screw. SURPRISE! the belt connecting the transmission to the drive shaft is off center, causing the gear system inside of of those wheels to not engage properly, resulting in a fraction of the efficiency and loud noises.****I fixed my washing machine in half an hour which a 20 year expert told me would need a new transmission after doing nothing to diagnose the problem. If that gentleman tried AT ALL to diagnose the problem, he could have fixed it in a second.****THESE PEOPLE ARE PROPER CON ARTISTS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
Technicians were very nice and explained everything. Just beware that the price you will pay is significantly higher than smaller operations. If it’s an emergency and you need a repair stat, go with these guys. If you can wait a few days, save yourself lots of money and go with a smaller operation. Also, the 30 day warranty on their work was pretty lackluster given the price.
Came out quick and did the repair. My complaint is $169 Labor cost!! It took the tech less that 20 min. to do the repair and replace 1lb of coolant for $95. Also, the part they replaced retails for less than $10, but they charge $26. I would definately call around first.
I was having issues with my dishwasher recently--it was leaking every time I used it! It was an emergency, but no one I called said theyd be able to come that day. I called ABA and they were prompt, professional, and got my dishwasher working again that same day. Thank you so much, I will be recommending you in the future!!
I chose ABA because they were listed as a factory authorized service provider for Sub Zero. They charge a standard fee (~$129) for the first house call, which is deducted from overall service bill. My problem was a non-functional drain heater in my freezer. Online, the part cost ~$35 from an authorized supplier (the supplier that ABA uses, in fact). ABA tried to charge me $100 for it, but I got them to discount it to only $65, a nearly 100% markup for ABA. What a deal! The service totaled nearly $400 (including tax) after the discount, and the service technician had to come back a second time to fix his sloppy work - he had actually made the problem worse with his initial fix. I plan to complain to Sub Zero about ABAs service.SUMMARY - look elsewhere for appliance service.
Maybe you can be one of the lucky ones of whom they accurately take your contract info and show up. Even better you might be a prospective client to whom they speak with respect instead of making you feel as if you are a nuisance. Either way if they book your appointment five days out as with me, youll have plenty of time to place your wagers.
I love ABA and all its employees.Randy and Erin are my heroes -- they always do a fabulous job when they service my air conditioner and heater each Spring and Fall. Both are very thorough, professional, and really nice guys.Thank you, ABA, for the excellent service you provide!!!Sandra Fry3215 Funston St.Austin, TX 78703
Aaron and the staff at ABA were awesome to work with! They replaced my HVAC system quickly and at a very competitive price. They even filed my PEC rebate for me. I highly recommend them!
Great experience. My whole experience with this company - from scheduling, notification of arrival to the expert repairs and advice provided was superb. Highly recommend!
GREAT RESPONSE TIME !TECHNICIAN VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COURTEOUS !HIGHLY RECOMMEND A B ABILL MUENCH
Absolutely Horrible!!!! I would like to warn anybody thinking about using this business to look elsewhere. The will charge you $43 to come out to look at your appliance and then misdiagnose what is wrong with it. We were told that it would cost $330 to fix our washer because the transmission went out. Luckily when my husband took it to trade in for a used one, they looked at it and it was my daughters sock stuck in the water pump and only $80 to fix.Not only that, when we called back to let ABA appliance know and ask for a refund of our $43 because of misdiagnosing the problem; all the managers and owners were never available to speak with and no matter what documentation we were requied to turn in, they always wanted some other documentation to be able to give a refund. Needless to say we still have received a refund and I dont think we will. I am really surprised that they are still in business.
We needed our old Maytag looked at and Jeremiah saved the day. He quickly identified the issue, had the part in his truck, and had us fixed in less than 20 minutes. This will be the only appliance repair business well reach out to in the future. Thank you!
I first visited ABAs (user-friendly) website to check out the services they offered and clicked on the cool interactive stovetop icon as I was having issues with my burners lighting properly on my Kenmore gas stovetop. After a bit of trouble-shooting online, a technician came over and promptly solved the issue. My stove-top is back to working and I was really pleased with the service and efficiency of ABA. Randy was very professional and an appliance expert. I highly recommend this awesome local company. Definitely would call them again!
The tech came the house, gave me a quote of $480. Said if my control board couldnt be fixed he would still be $180, seemed like he was just going to pocket the money. Why would I have to pay if you cant be fixed. After he left I noticed he reassembled my oven the wrong way. He pried the frame off and its all bent, it is no longer aligned properly. I sent pictures to Misty and refused to do anything, I asked for a refund and her company refused. She wants to send another untrustworthy tech to resolve the issues, I told her ABA is not welcome in my house.
We had Kendall out for our refrigerator not cooling, he was great. He was on time and very professional, he ordered the control board and its been cooling great. I would use ABA again and refer them to friends and neighbors. Thank you Kendall.
I need to make arrangements from far away to have my mother who lives in Austin refrigerator fixed. It proved to be quite the challenge when I called 3 different appliance repair companies since they did not want to schedule an appointment without first having me provide payment. I just wasnt comfortable giving a stranger my credit card. After doing a bit of research I found ABA.First, they did not require any upfront credit card. Next, they offer a free service call where they went out figured out the problem and they gave us the choice to fix it or not. Since the unit was almost 20 years old we decided to just go ahead and buy a new fridge but the service from these guys was top notch.A big thank you to Wiliam for treating my family with respect. and answering all her questions.
Great experience. Zack called about 40 minutes before to tell me he was on his way. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Fixed it. Cleaned up. He was friendly, polite and clearly explained the issue my refrigerator was having. Good experience.
Kendall came out to fix my fridge not cooling, he was great! Had it fixed within a week! I will continue to refer him to all my friends and neighbors. Great customer service and experience from start to finish.
Dont pick this place!! This was the worst customer service ever!!!!! we asked for someone to come and fix our refrigerator. They came, Checked it and said there would be 2-4 days until they had the part. On the 5th day I called and they said it would be in that afternoon. when would you like it installed I was dumbfounded! umn I would like it installed when you receive it...Duh! So the next appointment would be 8 days out from the original day they came out. What? 8 days without a refrigerator. To top that when I decided to go with another company they would not refund the money for the part and lied to my wife stating that your husband had no urgency to get the fridge fixed I guess when you yell at them on the phone and tell you that you are very disappointed with their service and state that you have been without a refrigerator for 5 days and would like something done now. That doesnt count for urgency! These people have been in business for 17 years and the owner cares not one bit about her customers! To heck with you!
Your technician was on time and very professional. He explained what the issue was and showed me where I went wrong with my own repair attempt.
This past summer I had my ac unit stop working. I had seen the ABA trucks around and decided to give them a call. The man that came out was very knowledgeable about my unit and was able to get everything working by the end of the day. He was professional and kept the area clean.
Fantastic service. I called at 5pm on a Friday just to find out when they might be able to come look at my air conditioner tripping the breaker. Two hours and 15 minutes later the technician had repaired my unit. Would definitely recommend.
I dont really give review but i experienced a really bad from them. First, they only tell me that my AC just need a fan replace but the next day they told me that i need to fix my AC leaks after replace a fan. The AC run for 10 mins then stop working so i have to call them again to come out and take at look at it. When the technician came out to fix it but he told me now i need to replace my AC compression coils plus they dont have it until wednesday. Im run a business i need my AC ASAP so of course i need to find new person to fix my AC soon. They should tell me i need all these replacements to be done in the beginning before making me replacement one thing after one thing. Just costs me more money. When i tried to give them a called that i want my money back since the jobs was not good but they refused and keeps telling me that this is my fault and i chose to replace my fan first instead of replace a new AC. Keeps telling me that i chose to replace the fan because thats cheaper but i chose to replace the fan because the technician said my AC just need to replace a fan to work again if he told me i need to fix leaks and replace mt compression coils at the beginning the i might thinking about get a new AC system but no he did not tell me that. But im the one that ask how much to replace a new AC just curious. So not only they refused to pay me back even i agreed to pay for the labors, keeps telling me that the technician did told me that my AC either need to replace a whole system or just replace a fan but thats not true. I talked to 2 managers there and they dont have good customers services because they telling a stories thats not true. I dont even want to give them one star they dont deserve it. They should listen to their customers and not keep saying im wrong. Im telling the truth. Horrible customer services.
Excellent crew and very competent. Pleasant experience.
My refrigerator was no longer making ice so I called ABA and they came and fixed it a great price, this was about 6 months ago and I have had no problems since. The Tech was nice and respectful to me and my home. Thank you ABA!
Super expensive to have them come out to diagnose broken appliance, then they have the audacity to make me explain my whole situation by phone 3 times. They have remote operators answer their phone who know nothing about your situation, forcing you to re explain it over and over. This company is a complete scam.
Worst company ever! They have horrible customer service (Missy) & do not follow up with service calls as requested. Management (Randy) makes continuous excuses & have yet to follow up. I have called them repeatedly with no resolve. Claims put in a new AC unit yet the compressor stopped working after a few days. I have reported to Better Business Bureau due to their negligence & lack of service.
Insanely unethical markups. ABA wanted to charge me $390 to replace a part on my stove. Asked the technician how much the part cost - he stated $130. Found the part online for $23. Unscrew 3 screws - unplug old part, plug in new part, re screw 3 screws - 10 min to install. Ridiculous markup. Consumer beware these guys will rip you off.
I m completly satisfied with the service and and staff at ABA they were efficient and friendly when my dryer went out. I would use them again and recommend them to all my friends and family.Aba came to the rescue when my ac went out this week they were professional and friendly and made me feel like a vip customer! I would recommend them for all appliance and ac/heating needs
Todd came out to our house in Buda and fixed our dryer venting problem we have had for months! He was friendly and professional and cleaned years worth of dirt and lint from the vents. I’m so relieved to have this problem fixed. Will recommend this company to friends. Thank you Todd!
Tyler was knowledgable and informative relative to our dishwasher repair. I am very pleased with the service we received, both in timeliness of our appointment and in the quality of our service. I will ask for Tyler every time I need service work done on an appliance.
Nothing more than a firm collecting a $100 Service fee! Our refrigerator compressor died (it didnt take a genius to figure that out). The company was responsive by phone, sent out a tech, then quoted $1159.00 + tax to replace a compressor. That is crazy - they say the compressor costs $600 - but they are sold new all over the place to common folks in the $400 range. Even if it was $600 - they are wanting 559 for labor and a $12 can of R134A... A typical compressor replacement is about $350-650. I read this as Lazy Technicians that prefer collecting diagnostic fees all day. Move on!Let me add... Refrigerator is 3 years old. I called LG after the Lazy/Uninformed tech came to my home. LG has a Warranty on compressor parts for 7 years, and 5 years on sealed components. LG is replacing for free.
My turntable in my microwave stopped working so I call ABA to see if they could help. They had a tech at my house next day with part in hand and fixed the problem.Their guy was super nice and extremely knowledgeable! Without them I would have spent the money to rip it out and replace it. Thanks ABA Appliance!
If you are looking for HVAC services, ABA is the company to call. Professional, knowledgable, and courteous. I couldnt ask for more from an HVAC company. Great service goes a long way and that is why I continue to use them and refer them consistently. I have already referred extended family and clients of mine. Thanks for all the great work and service!!
MOST UN ETHICAL WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED FROM A LOCAL BUSINESSThe water line in our refrigerator broke. The technician came to our house and he said it was frozen. He“fixed” it by using a blow dryer. As a result, the technician broke the water line (now water is thrown forward instead of downwards) and the lever. On top of that, after three days the water was not working again. We called and they quoted us 250 USD for a part that they broke. We called several times as we didn’t think this was the right business practice (coming in, braking something, not honoring their errors and trying to charge us for something they broke). On top of this, the receptionist and the technician had the nerve to say that both my wife and me were lying because the technician did not break that lever.Best Regards,S
ABA came to repair my oven and did a fantastic job. Aaron was very prompt and had parts to fix the ignitor. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. 5 Stars.
Had a flood in my kitchen water coming from my garbage disposal. Kendall came out the next day and installed a new one for me promptly. He was great, friendly, even cleaned up after himself when he was done. We will refer Kendall to all our friends and family.
Beware… they called and switched my appointment via voicemail. Then called the next day saying they were on their way, 3 hours ahead of the agreed upon appointment time. The office staff I spoke with were not helpful and unapologetic.
Awful, just had wash worked on three months ago (200$ to unclog) said that would fix the issue and now today washer starts not draining again. whatever they did was just a band aid for whatever the real issue is and their warranty is 30 days ?? please do your self a favor a search around for a more reliable company. I should have read the reviews before scheduling them to come out in the first place !
Wouldnt help me by having technician make a phone call to an insurance company. Was told that doesnt work out well for them even though I would pay them in full and I would have to worry about getting reimbursed. I even offered to have my husband call and just have the technician say he was there doing the repair. How does getting paid in full by a client not work out for you? Then she hung up on me. Odd and rude.
Ac went out. Took Anthony under two hours from the time I called to b at my house. The cost to change out motor was $450. Seemed a little high but he waived the trip fee and I got a coupon on there website All in all I was pleased.
Complete ripoff. Their base labor charge is $169, no matter how small the repair is, so when it was all said and done they wanted to charge me almost $200 just to replace the belt in my washer. I mean, my mechanic wouldnt charge me half that to replace a belt in my car. Ive had guys come out and fix a toilet for half that. They are NOT forthcoming about how stupid their rates are when you call and ask either. So now Im out the fee they charge you just to come take a look, which is also too much, and my washer isnt even fixed, because Im not paying them that much. Its my fault for not checking here first though; I was in a hurry and should have done more research. These people obviously arent going for repeat business though, thats for sure.
ABA Appliance Repair came out to fix our ice maker in the fridge. After about 20 minutes, the tech said it was the infra red lights on the machine and it would cost $500 to repair with parts and labor. We got a 2nd opinion from Appliance Express and it turns out it is a known issue with the ice maker itself from Whirlpool. Their cost was $325, nearly $200 less than ABA. EDIT: I would like to add that ABA Appliance Repair did refund our $90 service fee for a false diagnosis. Their front office staff were VERY professional.
Pathetic Experience!!!! I will never use them again!Extremly non-professinal.Their manager hung up on me on the phone.I have spent almost $2k on getting my refirgerator fixed for 6 weeks.Everytime the come in...identify a new problem...ask me to order expensive parts and worst of all...they will give you a day and time and NOT SHOW UP!!! What kind of a customer service is this? And when you call and complain their supervisor Glen and Monica are not willing listen or help and hung up on me.I have been using different companies for different services..this is the first time in my entire life I have experienced this pathetic customer service after paying thousands of dollars.I would not recommend anybody to use them ever again!!
ABA Appliance has the knowledge, experience, and the drive to get the job done. Ive relied on Aaron multiple times to come to my aid, and he has every time.Give them and call and discuss your options with their helpful staff, you wont be disappointed!
I have used ABA for several years..new AC unit to Ice maker . I had a miscommunication on a recent repair and Randy the owner got issue resolved. Randy is a hard working independent shop. Randy takes his time training young men the business. These young guys are learning repair work and adult speaking . This skill is not taught in High school, its learned in the field
ABA Services installed a complete HVAC system in my home in May 2010. In the process of selling my home. A 3rd party inspector flagged me on items that needed correcting. The inspector said needed this and that including a licensed HVAC tech inspection the HVAC system. The technician sealed cracking in the mastic and repaired as needed. The 3rd party inspector missed the fact that the blower motor bearings were bad. The company came back out and replaced the blower motor under warranty.Thank you ABA Services
Repairman was super negative. First bashed our appliance, then bashed the company he works for and the work he does. Had to order a part. He came back with the part a week later to discover they had ordered the wrong part. Reordered and returned another week later. Part fit bit less than a week after leaving the appliance started malfunctioning again. I’m going to call someone else this time. Will never use them again.
