The Steam Team

I have been using The Steam Team regularly for the past several years to clean my couch and rugs. They are always super accommodating to my schedule and easy to work with. Mike is the best tech and always leaves everything spotless and looking brand new! Hes so nice and professional, and sends me reminders when Im due for the next cleaning. Cant recommend them enough!

Steam Team came our quickly and did a top notch job! I bought a high quality carpet 20 years ago that has seen a few years abuse from pets, red wine and coffee, but they got almost all of these stains out. I thought I would need to buy new carpet, but it still looks great after James and Koby worked their magic. Thanks Steam Team!!!

If you are looking for quality water/mold remediation, performed by ethical people who take pride in their work and the company’s reputation, the Steam Team is not for you. They falsely accused me of approving more work than was originally agreed upon, ripped the clear coat off of my hardwood floor, and spilled tar across 3 rooms of carpet. They admitted that the damage was caused by negligence, and could have been avoided, but ultimately hid behind the contract I signed that cleared them of any liability for damages; even when that damage occurred in other areas of the house outside of the containment zone. I was told that insurance should be paying for... the roughly $20k in repair cost; insurance didn’t agree. They refused to pick up the phone and resolve this amicably. Their contract did not allow me any avenue of resolution and seems to be the result of decades of preying on the vulnerability of local Austinites in their time of need. The cherry on top was their refusal to sign the Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation form (important if you ever want to sell your house). I was forced to hire a Public Adjuster to prove that the work The Steam Team performed actually remediated the mold damage (ironic, I know), and only at that time did they finally sign the form. Use them at your own peril.**EDIT** The Steam Team still falsely claims that I approved work that I did not. Their own pictures show that plywood and vapor barrier were removed from the interior side of an external-facing wall on July 9th, leaving nothing but studs and brick. That was not part of the protocol. The email approval they refer to was initialed by the MAC on July 17th, well after the work was already done, and is reference to a completely different scope of work in a different room. While a contract may allow them to blindly demolish your house until they see fit, there is a reasonable expectation that a reputable firm would have called and talked through something of that magnitude before doing it, or provided reasons for it. I now need to remove the external brick wall to properly install plywood and layer the vapor barrier correctly over the middle section that they removed. That is a significant difference of repair, with a significantly different scope of work and cost. Its one thing to remove an extra 40 square feet of insulation and drywall; this is very different.Additionally, I was provided no report of what was found that caused the extra work. I received a handful of dated pictures, but no information as to why studs were removed, vapor barrier is missing, etc. Just a blanket comment referring to their contract that allowed them to perform the work as they see fit, but no justification for that decision. Its surely an uphill battle to resolve disputes when you are forced to sign things like: STI shall have no liability damage caused by conduct or action reasonably necessary to perform the Work....including NEGLIGENCE[sic].And still, they want me to hire someone else to advocate on my behalf because of their lack of professional accountability. Unfortunately my insurance company refused to pay based on their work performed was done according to the agreed upon scope, and there was no practical alternative method reasoning, with no additional evidence or information.I provided payment information prior to the work beginning, as required in the contract I signed, yet they will try to say that lack of payment held up the CMDR. Lets ignore the verbiage on the document that requires them to provide it 10 days after the work is done (work completed 7/10/24, CMDR signed 10/28/24, CMDR received 2/5/25). Im not sure what you would do, but if you held up your end of the contract by giving them unfettered access to your house and the payment information they required, and you then experienced a level of damage that will end up costing you three times the original estimate, would you allow them in again to potentially create more? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I did not realize that our sectional, area rugs, and wood floors needed cleaning but my wife insisted. The Steam Team was recommended, by a couple of neighbors, as the best in town so we set up a consultation. Their tech, Roman, and his team came out and worked diligently with all of their equipment as they cleaned through years of grime.My wife was right. I cant believe what they were able to do to restore our light-colored floors to look brand new. These antique 50 year old rugs, that may or may not have never been cleaned, now pop with color. And our sectional that has been abused by kids and unruly guests now looks brand spankin new.If youre on the fence, you wont regret getting your home professionally cleaned regularly. Mike came to pick up a high-quality area rug to be cleaned. It was returned in about a week, and it looked like new! Anthony came a week later to clean and polish our marble floors, and they also look like new. The Steam Team is very professional from the folks who make your appointment, the dispatchers who phone when they’re on their way and, most importantly, the people who perform the actual work! I would highly recommend them!

I TD impossible to overstate how impressed I am with Steve at Steam team. My building has been blowing black particles on my tenants for a long time. It’s been horrible and to make things worse, it’s a medical building. Steve and his crew cleaned my air handler and ductwork. They have been at it for 13 hrs because it was that bad. It’s important to note the price was set already. Steve had every reason to cut corners but did the exact opposite. Going the extra mile is an understatement. I can’t list all the amazing work they did for me today. They are the best!

The Steam Team was fantastic to work with! From the estimate, to the project planning, to the work itself they were courteous and professional. They were willing to work around and with my work schedule, and with my insurance company when it was needed. The work was done ahead of schedule, and I was kept in the loop the entire time (my feedback was always listened to and used). And I really liked that throughout the entire process I was never once left worrying about a team of people coming in and out of my home: it was a pleasure!

This is the third time we have called The Steam Team to clean our carpets. Our son-in-law, who has been in the flooring business for almost 30 years, would probably disown us if we called anyone else. The Steam Team has been his go-to service for a lot of years. It was a pretty ho-hum experience actually. We asked for a early appointment so we could open the house and turn on the ceiling fans to speed up the drying process before it got too hot. Well, their dispatcher called us at 8:30 to say that the tech would be there at 9:00, just as we agreed. At 9:00, Mario pulled up in his van. He took a quick check to see what he had to do. Three bedroom carpets, one walk-in closet, and a living room area rug. He got to work and at 10:30 was headed for his next appointment. Fast, friendly, professional service, at a reasonable price. Exactly as advertised. Dont you love it when a plan comes together?

The Steam Team is wonderful. When our dog decided that going to the restroom outside was beneath him, and that our new, expensive rugs were a much better place to take care of business the Steam Team came to our rescue. I honestly thought that there was no way they would be able to restore our rugs, but they did! Im so grateful that they took such special care of our rugs. Great customer service and they truly stand behind their work!

The Steam Team is truly an all in one cleaning and restoration company. We had a water heater that leaked in the attic and flooded our dining and living room. They were able to arrive within 30 minutes to explain the drying process and start the work. The communication was great and they kept me updated on the progress of the job. They also handled all the repairs for the sheet rock and painting. The work was top notch and the process was simple. Even my insurance adjuster was happy and very impressed. They also did some tile cleaning and we were amazed at the results. This is a real 5 star company.

Perfect service and high quality work completed! I recently purchased an investment property in Kyle, Tx and only had about 48 hours to get the carpets cleaned before the tenants moved in. The previous owners had two dogs and you could still smell them upon entering the house.I really didnt think I would be able to find a company who could be out there so quick but The Steam Team did not disappoint. I called them up on a Thursday afternoon and they had the job completed by Saturday morning! Not only were they super responsive but the quality of the work was also top notch. The Steam Team does an awesome job not just with carpets, but tile as well! They gave my kitchen tile/grout new life! Customer service is also awesome - we had an issue with some adhesives stuck to our carpet after a renovation project and they came back multiple times until the job was done right. The Steam Team did a fabulous job and I could not be more pleased! I called on a Friday afternoon and they came by the next day (Saturday!!) morning. Both the receptionist and the gentleman who cleaned my carpets were extremely polite and thorough. Im thrilled that he was able to remove the black grease stains (on light beige carpet) that had been tracked throughout our house. I will definitely use their services again in the future!

Ive been using The Steam Team for the last 6 years and continue to be impressed with their service. Last month when I moved into a new house, I had their team clean my area rugs as well as both homes. My old, pet-trampled carpet looked like new, and they made the natural stone tile and wood floors in my new place sparkle and shine. Had a fire on Tuesday morning(12/19/2017) 4am. Steam Team was there by 10 am offering to help.Wednesday morning they were back with 10 nice ladies to start the top to bottom deep clean. Thursday another crew was up for all flooring and furniture cleaning and attic and all duct work deep clean.My home had completely filled with smoke and I thought there was no way it would ever come out! I was so wrong. The Steam Team was wonderful, professional, and FAST.Rich and Kevin were outstanding and a pleasure to deal with! World recommend them to anyone. Completely exceeded all expectations.Next week we start structural repairs on the exterior. Can’t wait.

Weve tried several companies, but we are Steam Team-ers for life. Josh and the guys have cleaned our carpets and rugs several times before, but most recently, we needed it on short notice (family coming into town) and as a result of an aging dog with newfound bladder problems. Our technician, Mario, was fast, attentive and actually asked us questions about how to best meet our specific needs. As usual, we were highly pleased with the service, particularly in light of how bad of shape the carpet was in due to our pup. Though their quality of service is (unsurprisingly) most important to us, my wife and I love that the Steam Team is locally owned/operated and gives directly back to our community in numerous ways. My experience with the Steam Team was almost flawless! They were able to get me an appointment quickly that accommodated my schedule and the technician arrived exactly on time. Also, the technician explained my options and the service charges clearly; there were no surprises with my service or on my bill. The only issue I had was with the online quote option. In attempting to get an online quote, the website didnt recognize my (very legitimate) address which required me to call for a quote and appointment. Regardless, I will definitely use the Steam Team in the future!

Daniel, you did such a great job of helping Kristin deal with all of the mess and confusion – she was so appreciative and that helped me stay calm. Your people worked quickly to clear out the mess and start the recovery process.Then we met Josh who was very thorough and compassionate. I appreciated your attention to detail and assurance of a good outcome for my house. Also, the late, rainy visit to check on the carpet was much appreciated. You kept up with everything and I am sure you approved the things that Sergio did for me.Then Stacy saved my birthday celebration by arriving on a Saturday afternoon to clean up the second flood after the plumber said the problem had been fixed. He had his crew clean up and install the fans and I was on my way to dinner. He was so caring and helpful!Josh told me Sergio was wonderful which I soon found out for myself! He literally held my hand through the struggles with the plumber. He was cheerful when he would meet me after I got home from work which probably made him late for dinner. He worked hard to get all of the processes in place to restore my bathroom, utility room, store room, and the kitchen carpet.Daniel saved the day again on a Sunday afternoon when the flood occurred again. He even talked to the plumber who had been unresponsive to my pleas for help. He even told the plumber what was wrong…YEA!! Again, the clean-up and drying process was quickly established. (this was after the new carpet had been installed).So, of course, Sergio had extra work to do then which he did in his expert way! He even helped get a new hot water heater installed when he discovered mine was going bad. And, when the garage door opener broke while the carpenter was building the new cabinet, he even got a new opener for me! He was so diligent in finding the right Formica for my cabinet top. As I said, he continued to amaze me with his careful attention to detail, making sure that everything was right!Then Melissa and Anna came to clean – which they did in a wonderfully expert manner. They quietly got to work and cleaned every inch of the damaged areas. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated this because I still am not able to do much housework.I try to be so good with names, but the day the guys came to clean the carpets was very hectic and I have forgotten their names. However, they did a great job very quickly. This meant so much to me to have the dirt from all the flood and construction cleaned. Maybe Alan and Jimmy?I do hope that this goes to your managers so that you all get the credit for making my life the best it could be after the floods and the horribly expensive plumbing work. I also appreciate the patience of the company waiting for me to pay after I got my home equity loan (I had to wait until the plumbing work was completed.) To Whom It May Concern:My family and I were recently blessed to receive a level of customer service that seems few and far between in this day and age. On Monday June 25, 2018 Mr. Stacey was dispatched to look at several issues within the home that included water damage, possible mold and a malfunctioning air conditioner. Be it known Stacey was the second vendor to take a look at what was happening within the home. First off his professionalism was impeccable. Second, his knowledge of the what would need to be done to repair the issues not only with the air conditioning unit but also with water damage put my family at ease as to being able to get the work done.Simply said you dont come across individuals such as Stacey in these types of industries. Often times we interact with people that simply are only about closing out calls. Before the 25th of June I had never met this gentleman, but after the level service provided my family feels as if we have known him all our lives. With a wife suffering from lung deterioration from Lupus and possible mold exposure seeing this representative make our issues his issues, was very heartfelt. This experience alone has solidified The Steam Team as number one in my book when it comes to remediation services. From this day forward I can trust no other and will recommend no other company. I am proud to say that I feel that Stacey having walk with us to the finish line of this process has created a lasting brotherhood. We had a really bad fire in our garage that left our entire 2800 sqft house significantly damaged. Our house had to be practically rebuilt on the inside and even some on the outside. We didn’t know exactly what to do the day afterwards when we met with our insurance adjuster. Rich from Steam Team came with our adjuster as a courtesy, and I was concerned about using them because I had been told to never use the restoration company recommended by your insurance company because it would be a “scam.”But after visiting with them we just had a good feeling, and we went ahead and chose them. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. They handled ALL of the details of the rebuild without us having to lift a finger, and they kept us in the loop the whole time. They did all the negotiating with the insurance company, they cut no corners, and they gave us the house back like it was better than brand-new.From the pack-out and cleaning of our furniture to the physical rebuilding of our house to moving us back in and literally putting the dishes back in the cabinets like they were when we left, their attention to detail was incredible. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Ive been using the Steam Team for about 12 years. The service is always great. They dont hesitate to help remove stains, move furniture, and are always pleasant. I dont shop for carpet care because of their service, reliability and training.

I used The Steam Team on December 5, 2012. I left an online request the evening before and received a call 8am the next morning and they were able to be at the house at 9:30am. The young lady on the phone was very cheerful, helpful and personable. I requested 1 room cleaning with specific help on dog urine odor. She verified my request information and also recommended options that were more cost-effective, such as their 3 room special. The technician was Roman. He showed up earlier than expected which I value. He was very social, but got right to work. I had already moved all the small furnishings out of the room and had the larger couches and coffee table on sliders for easy moving, which I think helped with a quicker process. Lastly I enjoyed hearing about the employees satisfaction in working for The Steam Team and his superiors. If an employee is happy and feels a true part of this team it says alot about the company as a whole to me. I was also pleasantly surprised at the cost of the cleaning, enzyme and protectant treatments.

Exceptional client experience. We have selected cleaners on price in the past, but the client experience provided by the Steam Team sets them apart. Awesome service, awesome people, responsive and on time. We have 4 and 7 yr old boys; thats a lot of puke to have cleaned up over the years ;) Carpet looks like new when they leave.

Our house was hit by lightning, causing a fire in a portion of our house. After meeting with many companies, we chose The Steam Team to assist us. Daniel came to our house the very next day to meet with our insurance provider and decide a plan of action. 10 days since the fire, we have had Steam Team take care of water restoration, smoke damage, air duct cleaning, carpets, textiles and house cleaning. The ladies who showed up to clean the house spent two entire days wiping down walls & floors, every affected item, etc. They were meticulous! We have really been impressed with every crew they have sent to our house. Highly, highly recommend this trustworthy (so important) and thorough company.

My experience with the Steam Team has always been good. I scheduled them to clean on Monday and when they arrived the water was shut off due to the tenant moving out. They called me and rescheduled with no trip charge. Today I met Robert at the location and ran water prior to leaving. Robert called me about 15 minutes later and let me know the water wasnt working (it was pressure in the pipes that let the water run when I checked it). When I arrived the water was shut off and I didnt have any tools to turn it on. Robert helped me with his tools to turn the water back on at the meter. He explained to me how to get simple stains out without using the carpet cleaners you see in the stores. He also went above and beyond treating one spot that I was certain was going to have to be covered by a piece of furniture and getting it out.Every technician has shown this kind of effort and has always been courteous and professional. Best of all they are always on time and call you 30 minutes before they arrive. You never feel like you are stuck at home waiting like I have done for others and when you have to take time out of your work day to be there you cant ask for anything more. Update:A few days after the complaint and writing a review on Yelp, their manager came out, apologized and gave us a reimburse check on the shoes (still upset that my wedding anniversary gift was taken away). They also offered some free services however asked us to take down the review that I wrote in return. I thought it over and since they made a apologetic gesture, I decided to take it down. They are quick to respond and try to satisfy their customers. I just hope that they would be more careful with hiring people.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our experience with the Steam Team was horrible. Our neighborhood tree fell on our roof on 10/23/15. When we contacted our home insurance company, they sent the Steam Team guys that evening to put a dehumidifier and help out with moving furnitures out. A week later, they came came back and put a tarp on the roof. We were impressed how they were prompt and good at their job until last Thursday (4:40pm on 11/5/15). Three guys came in and they were supposed to demolish the ceiling in the damaged room but they told us that it had to be inspected further. When they left the house, I noticed that my husband’s Nike running shoes (they were my gift for our wedding anniversary and weren’t even a month old!) were gone. The shoes were on the shelf in the entrance way and that’s where we keep all of our shoes. I filed a complaint to the company early next morning (9 am on 11/6/15) and gave them the receipt of the shoes. They were somewhat apologetic and said they would conduct an investigation and told us to keep looking for the shoes. Like I said before, we keep all of our shoes on the shelf in the entrance way and there’s no chance that we could have misplaced them! Since then there hasn’t been any further communication from the company. Do not use this company!

Excellent service. They came out the very next day. They cleaned an imported couch and an area rug. My 3 year old and one of my 5 year olds decided to pour agave onto the couch so it got quite sticky. The cleaners were friendly and respectful. I highly recommend the steam team.

We had the best experience with The Steam Team. We had them come out and clean our carpets, upholstery chairs, couch, blast out our air vents and run an electro magnetic shock to clear all of the pet dander. We noticed a difference as soon as we walked in the door. It smelled amazing, not one pet hair in sight, and overall it just feels like it’s had a deep clean. The air also just feels lighter, if that’s even possible. We even noticed that they repainted our air grates - wow. Talk about going the extra mile! When Joseph arrived he gave us a detail of what would could expect from the cleaning and options to protect the carpet going forward. He exceeded our expectations and our carpet looks great. Roman cleaned my carpets about a couple months ago and they still look fabulous! I was very pleased with the work he and his team did. Our insurance company sent The Steam Team out to our house after we discovered that the water line to our refrigerator had burst overnight, sending water flowing throughout our house. We had no idea what to expect in the middle of a pretty messy situation, but the kindness, professionalism, and expertise of Roger, Roy, Alex, Andy, Kevin, and Zack made the whole thing more bearable. Stacey came out and assessed the damage after we had water damage due to a toilet continuing to run and flooding several rooms. He set a date and time for his guys to show up and detailed to me what they would do one day one. An army of guys showed up on time and worked quickly and efficiently to remove flooring and baseboards, drill holes below the baseboard line, and set up 24 fans to draw all of the moisture out. They were polite and professional and got the job done in a few hours. The office coordinator called each day to let me know when the moisture monitor would arrive. Austin was also very professional and easy to work with. I was very impressed with Stacey, his guys, and the operation overall.

My first need for the steam team was a burst water heater that flooded a room. Wes came over and worked with me on details and price, was very satisfied. Very pleased with the quality of water mitigation work they did for us after a plumbing leak flooded our home. Kade Templeton located one of the leaks himself saving us the wait & expense of hiring a leak specialist which was going to be a 3 week wait. They removed 2 rooms of wood flooring & sub floor, wall cabinets, bookcases, vanities, granite counters & mirrors in a timely & professional manner. They brought a dumpster onsite to dispose of everything, saving what they could, staying until everything was cleaned up & all the furniture was put back in place. And they handled all the financials directly with the insurance company.Ill admit I was skeptical having known folks whove dealt with similar companies in the past that made promises they didnt keep, werent capable of keeping. The insurance company (USAA) though insisted we use someone to handle this part of the remediation, as opposed to doing it ourselves, I m sure because of the extensive record keeping, photos & documentation they created to validate the claim. The Steam Team was recommended by our plumber Parobek Plumbers because of the fine service theyd experienced in the past & I must say it turned out well. Highly recommended.

Todd showed up on time and did a great job. I told him that my living room carpet had lots of pet stains from when my dog was being house trained. He offered an extra odor treatment for $22, which I accepted because the carpet was really awful. After he was done, all stains were gone, only slightly wet and looks great now.It ended up being around $150 for 2 very large rooms, one smaller one and a long hallway, including tax and odor treatment. Ill have them come out again next spring.

It was very helpful to be able to email about appointment availability. They emailed back promptly and I was able to schedule everything without having to call.They showed up within the arrival window and even called to let me know they were on their way. We were very impressed with how quickly your water mitigation team arrived at our house - faster than our insurance agency had promised, actually! - and also with how efficiently all of you went to work to get furniture moved hither and yon and the water, wet rugs and carpet out of the house. You did all that while also being sensitive to how stunned we were to have returned home after five weeks to find our house flooded. Your team efficiency and effectiveness continued to be evident during the next four days as humidity was tested, cabinets were torn out, and equipment was finally removed. Our only complaint came when we heard nothing for several weeks about rugs that had been taken away for drying and cleaning. We had been told that all or some of them might not be salvageable so expected to get a call when that was a Known. It took us several calls over perhaps a week long period to get a response on that. But overall, ours was a rather positive experience in a rather awful situation.

First, their the cheapest around. We have a white chanel couch, which is typically a whole lot more expensive from other companies, but these guys were so affordable ($175ish total)! Also a chanel couch is hard to care for, and The Steam Team took care of it like it was their own baby.Roman was great. He was so nice and made a real effort to get every part of the couch that he could reach. Great work ethic and even better customer service! I made the mistake of hiring The Steam Team to do a fire restoration project after a fire at my home. When I asked for an update as worked had stopped their Project Manager walked off the job leaving me stranded and having to haggle with them for months to settle up before I could start with a new contractor. I cant tell you what a terrible experience it was to deal with them and how unprofessional their Project Manager was. If you have a fire restoration, look to any other company.

I have worked with the folks at the steam team for years but this experience was above and beyond. I was out of town on vacation when my housesitter called to tell me that a water pipe had burst in the ceiling. steven is my go to man so I called him immediately so he could help me evaluate the water removal. it was after hours on a Sunday evgening (while he was also on vacation) but he took my call and walked me through what I could do to get the process started. he was in touch with danny and danny called me right away to set up his team coming out the next day after we got the water turned off etc. dannys team came out and took care of the sheetrock removal and set up drying fans. then he set up the repair work with benny. all of this is being handled while I’m out of town. I’m so very thankful and appreciative to the steam team crew and the owners for training their employees that no matter what the circumsatances the customer ALWAYS comes first! thank you!

Concerning your DFW market-Super disappointed that the Steam Team is withholding 40% of an insurance settlement from flood damage. The subcontractor they assigned to replace the floors has taken has taken a $2300 budget down to $900- bc thats their policy- and I know, the math there isnt right, obviously.Spoke with insurance rep and she advised that 20% is the max.So either youre running a racket that preys on the elderly or you dont manage your project managers and subs.Racket, scam, bad business...

These guys showed up on time, were friendly and explained the entire process of what they were going to do and what my options were. I declined a couple of the options (like protectant) and that was the last I heard of it....it was never pushed on me.Ultimately, I will call The Steam Team again for the next cleaning.

The first cleaning and sealing of my tile and stone was ineffective and had to be redone. In addition, the first team damaged my outdoor furniture and attempted to hide the evidence. After complaining, the damaged parts were replaced and the indoor tile was re-cleaned and sealed. In a 3-yr old house, we are now missing pieces of grout and still have many areas that arent fully sealed. Unfortunate waste of $2k.

Valuables missing, furniture destroyed, no supervisor on site, no communication, told 72 hours to get clothing returned 3 weeks ago still not returned check out the BBB reviews before you even speak to them
