These guys send unlicensed subcontractors to do the work (their own sub told me they weren’t licensed to do ac work), few days after they worked on my ac unit it stopped working. It was a weekend so had to call someone else to diagnose the issue and try to get my ac operational. Come to find out the wiring in the area they worked on had experienced some serious arcing and had completely burnt. Called and texted photos to West Austin but they clearly don’t care about the extremely dangerous situation their sub caused or even bothering to return my calls and messages.

Absolute Bait & Switch operation.Caleb offered a low price on a mini split unit for the upstairs so I went with it. I set up an appointment and paid a 50% deposit. Then, on the DAY BEFORE they were scheduled to install it, and after I had paid over $10k in a deposit for the minisplit, another unit, and some other work, they send me a text saying that the 2024 mini split I contracted and paid for was no longer available, and that they were going to install a 2022 unit instead--for the same price!--plus they told me that the 2022 wouldnt even qualify for a $2k tax credit!When I objected and asked at least that the price be adjusted they refused, and then they refused to return my deposit! Then they canceled the rest of the job (install a 2 ton unit downstairs) ONE HOUR before they were scheduled to arrive. It felt as though they were trying to bully me. Only after I called my CC company to initiate a dispute and then threatened legal action did they refund my deposit. Absolutely unbelievable.I thought by going with a smaller company I could save money but I barely dodged a very expensive bullet.

We were very happy with our experience with West Austin Air Conditioning. From our first call to the completion of the service, everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and clear. The work was timely and thorough. Although they were able to come out the same day, I know that wont always be the case. So, I commend them for this, but I based my review on the excellence of the entire service experience. We will certainly use this team again, and we highly recommend their services!

Caleb was fantastic. I needed a new Heat Pump asap - it was cold! They booked an appointment the next day and the crew came out in cold and ice, spent hours installing the unit - working well into the dark. In the first service they cleared a drain line and took the extra time to identify the sink the drain was attached too for future prevention. They were able to provide a temporary fix while we worked with our warranty carrier to determine coverage. Got home from long trip and downstairs unit was not working. Called West Austin AirConditioning and they had a tech (Bryan) here in 20 minutes and 20 minutes later he replaced contactor and unit back in service. Very reasonable pricing.

We replaced an ancient (32-yo) HVAC system with a new American Standard 16 SEER heat pump system. West Austin A/C gave us a prompt and detailed quote, Caleb answered all of our questions and help us to settle on the best system for our home and budget. We also got quick delivery and expert installation (our existing duct work was a can of worms). The lead of the install team (Geronimo) came back out on the first cold morning , which happened to be a Saturday, to get us lined out on running the furnace/heat pump part of our system. I am very happy that we chose West Austin Air Conditioning for our new system.

Our ducts were literally disintegrating. They were the original air ducts from 1988 and to make matters worse, there was some mold present. West Austin Air was one of three companies I researched and from whom I received a bid. They were the only company that could address every issue, including redirecting air flow by altering the output to one of the vents. So they replaced all the ductwork upstairs that they could get to and cleaned the small area that was behind sheetrock and unreachable downstairs.They also installed UV lights to prevent mold from reforming. I was worried that they may have over promised and this job would prove too difficult. On the contrary, the work was done and exceeded my expectations. Our house is quieter, cleaner and safer now. Just amazing work and everyone was polite, considerate and thorough from start to finish! I highly recommend West Austin Air for any air duct work you may need.

I had several companies come out to quote on my home project which was a very elevated home using multiple shipping containers. Communicated with us throughout this entire weather ordeal until they actually had a break in the weather and arrived. We had to use the emergency heat setting until they could service the unit. Caleb, and West Austin HVAC is an honest and trustworthy Company. They arrived on time and installed an new Heat Pump System during an extremely cold spell. I needed heat asap. They worked in below freezing temperatures and didn’t leave until it was dark and all was working. I had a lower budget, and Caleb worked with me to get the best system. He came back the next day to configure the WiFi App to connect to the thermostat. These guys are great. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and refer this company to my friends and family!! I love this company! I have used them for my work and home. I called Caleb and told him I had a classroom (students in it) with an a/c out. He was fast show up and was able to get it repaired the same day. At my house, I have had ongoing problems with a new a/c unit which was installed by another company. We worked with them several times and it would work for a few weeks/months and then the same problems would occur. We gave up calling them (under warranty) and because of the service I got at my office I asked West Austin A/C to check it out. The man who showed up was VERY knowledgeable about the unit we had and was able to find it had not been wired properly on the original installation. It has worked like a dream since but we have a problem, we will call them.

So glad I found this business. Surprised I could get them to come out to check my AC since weather consistently hit 100’s, when everyone is calling for repair. Came out and were able to fix my AC the next day. Legit local business that cares about service and their reputation. Caleb is a great communicator on issues regarding my AC system. I had Caleb come out to install an air purifying system on my AC Units and to tune up the units as well. Very disappointed. Initial contact was good but as soon as they came by to look at job, we were told we would receive an estimate. We reached out to them again and Caleb said he would once again get an estimate to us. We never received an estimate. Even thought we found a very honest company (Bo Knows AC) it was very frustrating to know that Caleb never even provided the customer service to say he was not interested, or the job it not worth my time or even over bid so that we can decline.

Used this company to clean ducts, was told entire unit and ducts needed replacement. What I thought was going to be a cleaning, ended up being a very expensive total replacement. They did show up on time and did repair, but fell short of completing correctly. The workers rushed the job as it was the week end, they were missing a part left to get it with out informing us, Left a bit of a mess. They did return and again left with out talking to us. After they were finished. They were in and out because they replaced an entire unit and ducts, so we did not realize the left upon an exit. I went to check work and many things left not professionally finished. Wires left hanging out of attic, supplies and trash left behind. I would not have known if Ihad not crawled in attic myself. Called owner Caleb, he returned and finished the job. This was over a $10,000 replacement, so we expected it to be done correctly. We do not run this unit often as it is upstairs, so in October several months after replacement, my father returned to our home from hospital surgery, we went to run unit and there again was a problem on brand new unit? Very frustrating and expensive lesson. Caleb did repair, but only after a night of having to deal with no air and my father in a hospital bed needing comfort. Caleb is professional, friendly and I believe honest, however those he contracts do a rushed, messy job.

I used West Austin AC in the past and theyve always been great. I needed a very quick servicing as I sold my home in Bee Cave in less than 24 hours. They were great, as usual. I hope they come to Leander as I moved!

West Austin Air Conditioning has replaced several heat pump systems at different properties. Before I retired I used to own service business so I recognize a good, well run company. The last install was a tricky one without much room between the ceiling joists and concrete floor above. The initial thinking was the ceiling would have to come down to allow the work to proceed. Their service manager met with me and came up with a way to get the blower installed without expensive removal of structural elements and finishes. I recommend this company.

The guys over at West Austin Air Conditioning are nothing short of honest and trustworthy. I have used them for both residential and commercial work and have only good things to say about the service received. Theyre not the type to overcharge or swindle people with problems that dont actually exist, unlike some of the bad actors floating around out there. In all instances they attended to my ailing ac units faster than I expected and got them back up and running with minimal down time.

Caleb provided good service at a reasonable price. Since moving to Austin I have searched for a reliable and honest(ly priced) service tech and I believe I have found that in Caleb. He seemed extremely busy (like all other HVAC techs in the summertime) and so came 30minutes later than appointment time (I was promptly informed of this).Caleb finished the entire job without taking any shortcuts. While he did the maintenance tasks, he also fixed a dead capacitor on one of the units. The labor was charged but parts were within warranty and so he honored that. For the first time I saw an HVAC tech take the time to hose down the AC units and clean them. I have only heard of these steps being done by good AC techs, and now I am happy that I finally saw one do it as part of maintenance without high price tags.

Caleb and crew were very professional. My non working A/C turned out to be just a compressor fan relay so it was a quick and easy fix for them. They saved me lots of money and didnt try to sell me parts and service I didnt need. Will use them again whenever I need service..

Caleb at West Austin AC is a true professional. WAAC was recommended to me by a neighbor, after I got a dire report from my yearly AC/Heating service and repair company, who I shall not mention here. They wanted to replace the complete 4-ton system, claiming coil leaks both outside and inside and significant electrical issues...I brought Caleb in for a second opinion, he checked through everything, added a few lbs of refrigerant to 4 ton , claimed both the 4 and 2 ton outside units in good working order, and while the inside coils will need to be done at some point, I did not need to spend $12k to get a cool house this summer.

They came out and replaced our whole central system during some very cold weather. There was a slight issue the day after install but the owner made a trip himself out at the first possible chance to fix it. Great company and I will recommend them.

Excellent work in replacing a faulty unit. Technically sound and perfect cleanup/cosmetics around the install. Turnaround times tended to drag, but thats super busy Austin. Should improve as the market cools.

Caleb, the owner of West Austin Air quickly got the blower motor in our LP gas central heat unit back running in minimal time and expense. Needed only to replace the starting capacitor ($10.00 part). No need to replace the motor or the entire HVAC system as a few other providers were recommending. I highly recommend West Austin Air.

Caleb saved the day when he came to fix our A/C on a Friday afternoon in late May right before the long holiday weekend! He came the same day we called and replaced the failed dual capacitor. They replaced coils in two of our condenser units, we had to call back for additional service which they provided in a timely manner. Currently waiting for follow up on additional work that needs to be performed…difficult to get in touch with their office for scheduling.

Contacted West Austin for HVAC duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning . Jennifer responded promptly and was able to work their very busy schedule to perform the services we needed just a few days later ! Caleb and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and performed the work requested in a very Professional manner .Caleb determined and advised us of a very dangerous situation on our dryer vent system , a power vent device had been installed to assist the dryer discharge when home was originallybuilt , but had never been wired to operate properly which then actually created a blockage of the 4” dryer vent discharge which would have eventually caused a FIRE !!! Caleb removed the power vent device , throughly cleaned out the completely packed lint buildup, reinstalled and ran and connected the necessary electric line to operate the power dryer vent device to assist with the lint discharge safely and and increase the efficiency of our LG dryer Thank You Caleb for taking care of what would have become a disastrous situation !!! West Austin is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

Great Team of people who do great work. I am very pleased with my new A/C, as well as the duct cleaning that they performed. The new air filtration system seems to have gotten rid of the mold and dust that always bothered our allergies. I Will continue to use West Austin air in the future.

In the heat of summer my rental property AC went out. Tenants needed cooling immediately. West Austin provided a mobile unite immediately and had the new unit installed very soon after!

As usual West Austin AC did a great job and was available when other companies couldnt come out for weeks. I cant recommend them enough for folks outside of the Austin metro.

Had hiccups with new heat pump installation which took some time to resolve. Caleb was responsive when I called to get updates, and ultimately the pump is working.

AC went out in August 2019, they came right way and gave a quote much lower than the other company. They installed it the same day and the AC has been operating great ever since.
