The last time Ruben Montoya came to my house he had an apprentice with him. I love to see mentoring and a trade that people enjoy. Yesterday Ruben really came through for me and again to his credit and expertise, he was able to clear my line after several hours of work. My AC unit is older and has been getting gunk in it. I can’t thank Ruben enough for his persistence in getting the line clear and getting my AC unit working again! Bravo!

Absolutely terrible experience. I requested service two weeks ago to have the issue of my downstairs being too cold in my upstairs being too hot when it’s set to 71.They came out and did not fix the issue and informed me they would be charging me again to come back out.Tim Moyer stated to me, they did not charge me a diagnostic fee the first time around when they did and it’s even on the receipt.Tim Moyer stated to me that they gave me free air filters and even installed them for me. Not true, I ordered my filters and installed them myself.Tim interrupted me on the phone multiple times.Very dishonest business practice, and rip off.I paid over $220 and my issue is not fixed and they still don’t know what’s going on.

They have the best tech people. Everyone who has come to my home has been courteous and conscientious. They even send the person’s bio and photo ahead of the appointment so you know you are opening up your house to the right person. Weston has come out for maintenance a few times now and I always enjoy speaking with him and he also works diligently and explains what he’s doing so there are no surprises. This company is very professional and I would highly recommend them. I was kept informed about the arrival of the technician and who would be replacing my hot water heater. Lee Owens is awesome. My water heater exploded today and I’m a stay at home mom with a baby. I’m also pregnant right now. I had no idea what to do and I was so overwhelmed, until I met Lee. He came over within a couple of hours, and with ease handled it. Called the right companies to come over and fix the drywall too. The other company came out within 30 mins and he also found our water heater, which is an older model or a hard model to find. He’s coming back out tomorrow with the water heater and another colleague to have it installed. So from starting the day off in complete panic and disarray….I am completely at ease that this problem will get fixed, in a timely manner and it will be fixed correct and safely, for my family. Thank you for making this whole process painless and run smoothly.
I run a mobile small business, and I was having an electrical issue with my van, and had to reschedule clients due to it, which was stressful. This post was actually from a few month’s ago, but I failed to complete it.I am amazed at the professionalism and tenacity displayed by Reid Lineberger! I had a very stubborn clog in my kitchen sink, that he spent a full day on plus a few more hours. I have been in property management for years and have worked with some very good people, but this young man went above and beyond, to take care of me. Very impressive. I am a forever fan.

Removal of a washer clean out valve at the laundry room in order to install backsplash on the back wall. The laundry room was converted to a large pantry (washer and dryer stacked in garage). Michael Tovar was super fast in presenting best option and price and had the work completed in an hour. He was careful with newly installed cabinets and it was hard to tell he was even here! We’ve had 1st Home & Commercial do almost all of our uogrades/updates and highly recommend them if you want great quality work, communicative experts and a very reasonable price. Check out the photo-no clean out sticking out of the wall in the new pantry.
Outstanding service! Had a home water leak, called them at 2pm and a tech was on site by 3:30pm. Made assessment and came back first thing next morning and made repairs. Very professional and repairs were great.Thanks!

I have a maintenance program with 1st Home and Commercial. They come out several times a year. Ruben came today. He found a very small gas leak. There were 2 options to fix it. Lucky for me the first and cheapest fix did the trick. I didnt even know it was leaking. I love 1st home and commercial. Thank you so much.

Ruben did a great job fixing our AC, however he did NOT fix the heater and we became aware of the problem during Thanksgiving holidays when we paid his company again to fix it and they were not able to do so. I would stay away from this establishment.

Ryan came out after hours and replaced our capacitor getting our outdoor units fan running and cold air running again. In general everyone was courteous, prompt, and transparent. I will definitely be using them as my go to for HVAC.
Had a wonderful experience with this company. I called with a complex plumbing issue (non emergency) and they were able to arrive within 24 hours. I also asked that they look at an additional problem I was having while they were on site and the plumbers, Mike & Daniel, diagnosed the issue quickly. I was provided with a reasonable quote to fix the issue on the same day and they were able to come the following day. Mike and Daniel were great, the company’s follow-up was great and the office personnel was thorough. Will be using them again for any additional plumbing needs.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have a brand new water heater installed in 2021. The plumber did not empty the old tank and my garage was flooded. Not shocking just 3 years later one of the parts malfunctioned and my garage flooded again. But only my tank was covered by warranty, not the labor. So I had to pay another $468 to have them fix a brand new water heater. They even admitted it was not my fault but wouldnt even discount the labor to fix it. It took 90 mins to fix. When I started working with them in 2020 a man shook my hand and said We wont be the cheapest but we will take care of you and stand behind our work. Good salesman, not good customer service. I wont even get into the AC repair that was $800 and didnt fix the problem...take your business elsewhere.
Your field technician Anthony arrived on time for the installation of our new water treatment system. He was extremely thorough, did an excellent job with the installation and answered all of our questions in detail. We will not hesitate to use 1st Home and Commercial Services again.
1st Home was referred to me by a friend, and Im glad they did. They very patient with me and helped me work through the options and pros and cons of replacing a water heater or going tankless. The guys who came to do the work were very professional and friendly. I am completely happy with this company and will use them for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

Ryan was fantastic! Upon arrival my home was a furnace, he quickly found the issue and tackled it. I quickly noticed my home was cooling down. What I liked about Ryan was that he walked me through everything he was doing. Thorough. Double checked everything. 10/10 would recommend.

Highly recommend 1st Home! My first experience, no pun intended, was great! Garbage disposal went out on me a couple of days ago and after several DIY attempts I knew I needed a pro. I called them at 7:30 a.m. and they called right back. By 9:30 a.m. Daniel was at my home. Very friendly, no high-pressure sales tactics. He talked me through my options and by 10:30 a.m. my sink was drained, new quiet disposal installed, and life back to normal. He also took the time to give me an additional quote for a future project I had in mind. I saved hundreds of dollars compared to Radiant Plumbing and will use them again for certain.
I found 1st Home and Commercial after being dissatisfied with another company. 1st Home was called in for a second opinion.They sent two plumbers, Tyron and Ford, who did a great job fixing a large clog in the mainline pipe of my house. I really like how they provided good, better, and best fix quotes so that I could choose a solution that worked for my current budget. Next time, I plan on calling 1st Home first.

I havent had a 5-star review of an HVAC company...EVER! Especially in the Austin summertime when they are all so busy.Rubin came out to diagnose my AC problem (during heat wave June 24). He was super helpful and friendly, explained the problem with my 8-yo HVAC with pictures they took of the failed parts. 2 days later Ryan and Westin came out to complete the 5-hr job in the raging heat...with a friendly attitude and knowledgable demeanor.Rita in the office was super helpful. In fact, I signed up for a scheduled maintenance annual plan for my home this year...saving 10% off my bill today (which paid for itself). Now theyll do a plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance/inspection as well. Finally an HVAC company Ill use more than once.
I am so frustrated with the incompetence of these guys. They installed a heat pump with a zone splitter 18 months ago, and we have had five unnecessary service calls since that time. They did a terrible job installing the system, apparently not checking that it was done correctly. They did not connect the emergency disconnect, so we got water pouring down into our kitchen. They didn’t check that the emergency heating strips were connected, so when the temp dropped below 30 degrees our heat didn’t work. They came out for a regular service call and left the disconnect unplugged so the AC didn’t work. We paid extra to have separate zones for upstairs and downstairs, but now that’s not working either.I will say that every time they come out to fix what they did poorly, they are very polite and courteous. But really, I don’t want a polite service technician- I want a competent technician.
I have worked with them in the past and recently reached out to them about a different issue. Crystal was super helpful, and so was Anthony. They are very professional, experienced, and make me feel like they love their job and care about customer satisfaction. Do not hesitate to call them.

Anthony and Mike were very helpful and professional! And fast!! We had an issue with a roof leak and they were able to send out Dom to diagnose it the same day and it was fixed two days later.
For the second time around, Anthony came to rescue us and solve our broken pipe/ like waterline. This time around, our tenant drove over the main waterline that feeds the house. After calling 1st home, Anthony was able to quickly find a spot on his schedule and in less than 30 minutes he came to the house to assess the situation. Just got a drain line clear and a diagnostic for my AC unit. My technician was Ruben and he was very professional. I appreciated his ability to explain what he discovered in a way that I could understand and go on to discuss next steps from when I should expect additional reports for my records, estimates, and installation times. While its not great to hear that I might have to spend money, Ruben presenting himself as well as he did takes the edge off and I am excited to get a final solution for my AC issue!

I’ve literally gotten the run-around by other incompetent HVAC and Plumbing companies (Strand Brothers) - 1st Home is an old school “actually talk to you, provide friendly service and help you solve your problem” type of company. They even provide recourses for things just outside of their scope (drywall and restoration) and personally put me in contact. And last but not least, knowledgeable. Oh, and not “annoyed to have to talk to people who don’t understand what’s going on”. They were patient and explained everything to me over the phone and in person. Daniel was great. It feels funny this day and age to be so impressed with people who take pride and are good at their job, friendly and patient - thankfully there are still companies out there like this.

Quoted $612 for a routine ceiling fan install. No thanks. Then collected $99 trip charge. Lost my business permanently in exchange for the trip charge. Subsequent electrician completed for a third of the quoted price.

We had a leak in the pipe outside that leads to the sidewalk. The technicians were able to come out to my house within a couple of hours. It was repaired quickly and the technicians, Olen and Travis, were great! They kept me informed throughout the repair, they were up front with the cost of the repair, and they were very friendly!
Had one leaking water heater but decided to replace both since they were 20 yrs old. Anthony and Ford were able to find a heater to fit in limited attic space and complete both replacements in less than a day. I am very pleased with the job done.

They are not honest!When I first called and presented my problem, which I said I am not sure if it’s a plumbing issue or an appliance issue (dishwasher), Crystal replied: we can check it for you.What she did not say is that this company is only diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues, but don’t service appliances.I ended up paying $99 for someone to come and run the water in the kitchen sink to let me know it’s running fine (da, I could have told you that over the phone had you just asked) and that it’s an appliance issue which they do not service.$99!!!That’s a scam.

They were very responsive and Daniel Martin who was the plumber who did the work was very nice and explained the work to me in detail to replace the pipe, install a new valve, insulate and seal, etc. I felt he was reasonable in analyzing things for me and was very communicative. I’ll use them again for any other plumbing issues I have.

Had to get our water heater replaced and 1st Home was the quickest to respond to. Meet our needs. We had others return our calls the next day or several hours after contact. The 2 servicemen Andre Ross and Larry Baker were excellent. Andrew removed the old tank and had everything ready for Larry when he came to do the installation. He did a superior job on that installation and provided all the information needed to understand what was done and what we needed to do to ensure the warranty was taken care of. Would not hesitate to use 1st Home for future needs
Dominick was very friendly. I was unaware that a service call was placed due to sharing the house with another family member but he was polite and explained the reason he was here. He also gave me insight into a problem that might occur down the line which was very useful for our household. My man here is from Whales and its always a pleasure to meet someone from across the pond. My man here gets 10/10.
Paul, Jay, Roy & Branden were amazing. Jay came out to my house and diagnosed the problem within an hour of my call on a Wednesday or Thursday and had my new system installed the next Monday. I can’t say enough great things about these guys. Fast service, great communication and my house is blowing cool again! We were without AC all summer from early May to mid August because we either 1.) Couldn’t find anyone that would even come out and bid the job or 2.) They over bid it by thousands (and I mean like $10k more) or they said they had to wait months for parts.Great job guys and I would highly recommend this company!

Our AC unit outdoors went out due to an electrical surge after a loud and aggressive storm last weekend. I had used 1st Home before and decided to give them a call as we had a 2 week old newborn at home that can’t handle hot temperatures. It was a weekend and 1st Home got back to me after calling their emergency line. Ryan was dispatched and showed up quickly. After a quick inspection, he found the issue and fixed it quickly. I was so thankful for Ryan and 1st Home and Commercial Services. Our AC starting kicking before it was time to go to bed and we all slept well that night knowing everything had been taken care of. Dominic & Lee were fantastic! Installed the water softener, looks great and provided a nice bypass system in case it is ever needed. The hookup to the drain had a minor issue but they quickly returned and corrected it. Couldn’t be happier, and Drew Ross was great to work with on the order.
Ruben and Weston were very thorough and explanatory. I really appreciate that! They cleaned my ducts and will be back to fog my ducts next week. They made sure I was aware of all the services that they offer and that they have an annual service contract so it just takes the guesswork out of some of my house maintenance. Long story short, had a company stop by, seemed quick and fast on analysis and gave me a bid of $50,000 to do a full house waste pvc pipe replacement from one end to the septic. $40,000 for just the primary line. Only camera analysis. Called 1st home and commercial services. Camera analysis said no cracks. Manager called me and recommended hydrostatic pressure testing with camera test to follow. Also tested inbound water pressure. 2nd negative test on outbound water leaks and a negative test inbound. Saved me $49,000. Quality, integrity, and the crew that came out over 2 days - Lee, Mike and Anthony were all hands on deck. Sharing knowledge and truly trying to find a crack in the water lines. Highly recommend them. Spent 3 guys for a combined 10-12 hours with me.

We realized we had a gas leak in the house and the gas company came and shut the gas off until a plumber could show up to fix the leak. We had Anthony and Jacob come out the same day we called to help us with the repair. They explained how they were doing things and were very professional and getting the job done. There was follow-through from Crystal at the main office to make sure things were done right and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s nice to know that good old-fashioned customer service and follow through are not a thing of the past!
Larry Baker and Mike Tovar were AMAZING. They came after hours same day and stayed until everything was fixed. They were absolutely professional and focused on helping us. We were in a tough situation with a leak and thank goodness for them!!! I couldn’t say enough amazing things about them.
Update:In peak summer we had issues with the A/C not running. I ended up fixing the issue by clearing the condensation drain. Ruben came out and made sure that the line was clear but as he was about to leave he heard a loud noise. He then went out of his way to investigate what it was and found that the compressor wasnt running. He thought it was overheating so he opened it up confirmed that was the case and cooled it down.Thanks to Ruben our A/C is actually cooling while its a 100 degrees outsideOriginal:Ive been using 1st Home to do several different plumbing projects in my home for the last year. I never really had an issue they were always able to get me on the schedule quickly and let you know when the plumber is on the way. I felt their pricing is fair and for the most part is high quality.Recently we had an issue with a plumber who installed new shower lines. They struggled to install the lines because one of the existing pipes was in bad shape and couldnt get a good seal with their solder so they stuck a sharkbite on it and called it good. Later I found a bunch of water seeping through the ceiling in my garage which is below the tub. Nothing was actively leaking but when they were installing the new lines they kept letting water out and it pooled up on the ceiling below.I called them at let them know and they sent another plumber out the next day who took a look and confirmed that they did cause the water damage. They also told me that they shouldnt have a sharkbite there in the wall and that the pipe needed a portion of it replaced because it was corroded due to electrolysis and it would be a matter of time before it had a big leak. He also made sure everything was straight and made sure the work the other plumber did was 100%. He took a lot of pride in the fact that he was going to put his name on this work and it needed to be perfect.They then sent out another company that does restoration work. They let us know that we didnt need to worry about the cost because 1st Home was covering it. They are in the process of drying out the area and then will come back and replace the drywall, installation and repaint the ceiling.I would highly recommend 1st Home to anyone. A lot of companies say they care about customer service, but not all of them actually mean it. Well I have actual proof that 1st Home does. They took responsibility for the mistake and are remedying the situation. I havent had to argue or negotiate with them about taking care of it they are just doing it.

Lee and Branden of 1st Home and Comercial services came out and replaced our PR valve in our 20 year old house. They came and fixed the issue within a few short hours. Very nice guys to work with. I failed to actually inspect or check the work until they had already left. We had a little mis communication on the scope of work. 1st Home contacted me and and sent another technician that came back out and rework or tweak the finished product to my satisfaction. Excellent service provided by Darius McKinnis! Was very professional. Was very honest and upfront with costs. Worked diligently and efficiently. Replaced an ice water maker outlet box and saved the drywall pieces cut out so I could easily patch it up on my own afterwards. He even helped troubleshoot my kitchen faucet after the water main was turned back on without an extra charge. Due to his excellent service, I will be asking for him in the future for any plumbing needs!

Our yard was filling with water a few weeks ago. My partner dug a trench and we located the leak ourselves -- a pinhole in our copper main. We temporarily patched it and had someone quote us on the fix. Their price felt really high, but they brushed us off when we asked why (what *seemed* like) a small job was so expensive. They kept the fee and we never heard from them again.The next week we called 1st Home and Commercial and they sent out Dominic. He quoted us in the same ballpark price (but about a hundred dollars less than the competition), and most importantly: he actually explained what was going on. Dominic patiently explained that the location of the leak on a bend in the pipe very near the foundation meant he would have to remove and replace a whole section -- much more complicated than the quick-fix I would have thought necessary. His willingness to break down the problem for me made me confident I wasnt being ripped off. He took great care of us, sorted the problem efficiently, and he was a really nice dude, to boot.We will definitely be coming back to 1st for our future plumbing needs.

Valve to waterline Ice maker box replacement.Lee explained everything well and made the trip to Home Depot to get necessary items. Work isn’t quite finished as HD had no ice maker box so the valve could not be replaced.Lee worked after 5pm taking the job as far as he could.When making the appointment the office was amazing. They worked super hard to have someone here within an hour and get my leak stopped.
I wish there were more than 5 stars because this company deserves 10! 8:30 pm at night the faucet breaks in my bathtub and Crystal answered the phone when No other plumber I called did. She had Anthony available to come over immediately. This company is the best and most reliable in Austin!

Travis and Aubrey were excellent, very informative and even went to purchase a new toilet from a direct provider after mine was shipped broken. They went above and beyond. Can’t recommend them enough! 1st Home and Commercial is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and warrantied service.
He checked our breaker boxes and said we need to check all the outlets because our boxes check out fine. We need to move things so a diagnostic can be done. He was nice and very informative about what he was seeing and what the cause could be. Unless we manage to find the outlet while moving things so the diagnostic can be done, we will be having him back to do the diagnostic.
I had a great experience with these folks. Highly recommend. I called in the morning after we found a burst water line out in the front yard. The lady who answered the phone initially said they were booked for the day, but when she heard about the problem she and the team shuffled appointments around to help me out. Two guys were here in just a few hours - Dominic and Mark - and they were total pros and friendly as well. I called 1st to help sort out a back flow test the city of Austin required. The whole process was fast, easy and less expensive than I originally thought. I’ve been using this service since the severe winter freeze a couple of years ago burst a pipe in my house. 1st Home and Commercial took my call, kept me apprised of when they would come and then took care of my very difficult situation. I’ve used them ever since then.On Easter Sunday this year I had another emergency. My toilets weren’t able to flush on a day that I was planning to have several family members over for dinner. 1st Home and Commercial had Michael, a senior technician come over within an hour. He found that my problem was caused by damage to the main drainage pipe leaving the house caused by penetration of tree limbs and some settling of the house. He got the significant repair required, which needed both plumbers and hands for digging and backfill, scheduled for two days out. Then amazingly he devised a work around that permitted us to use our entire water system including toilets pending permanent repair. We were able to have our Easter gathering after all. It just doesn’t get better than that.Jim Durkin

The service went smoothly. They came in and replaced the disposal on the same day, and it does include a warranty.I did find the service to be quite pricey. The disposal and materials themselves were less than half of the price I paid (according to google, they don’t break out estimates), so labor was the most expensive part of it. Didn’t haggle, cause I didn’t want to be comparing prices, and I could see this would be done properly. But I do think this might be a company on the higher spectrum of pricing.
My tech, Drew Ross, was very professional and personable. He explained what he diagnosed as the problem and explained my options. Best and worst case scenarios. Replaced my shut off valve to dishwasher (best case) and informed me of 12 month warranty. Will definitely call 1st Home for future repairs.
I finished renovating a rental property and the last day on the project I had a water leak in the main kitchen. I spent 30 minutes and couldnt find where the leak came from.I am from out of state and had a 20 hour drive the same day. I messaged several plumbing services and 1st Home quoted me the cheapest price and arrived within one hour.The first technician was very nice and did everything he could to find the leak and non of us can figure where the puddle of water was coming from. Unfortunately I had to leave the state and prayed that the leak would fix it self.I had a friend check in on the house and there was a puddle of water beneath the sink. We recalled 1st Home while on. The road and they sent a different technician within an hour of the same day. He spent 30 minutes trying to find the leak and couldnt locate it. As soon he called me the to tell me he couldnt find anything the leak finally presented itself and he fixed it.On top of that they didnt recharge me for another service call. We felt so relieved for the rest of the drive home.So, I highly recommend them for speedy service with the cheapest service fee.
Five stars and more to David and Caleb. They are the best and my new favorite electrical technicians. They replaced my interior panel and installed an exterior disconnect service panel 200 amp. They were very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the process. Highly recommend these two gentlemen. 1st Home & Commercial Services is top notch in all areas. I have had them help me with plumbing, electrical, AC and Heating. They are first class in all areas.
Of course our ac died on a Saturday night. Most places are closed or dont work on Sundays. Someone from their messaging center contacted me on Sunday that they would look for an appt asap. I had a phone call by 7am Mon. AC repair man by 830am. He quickly found the issue, replaced the part and got everything working great again. I was relieved it seemed like a pretty affordable fix. I would recommend this company & that technician Daren.

They scheduled me quickly, came as scheduled, followed Covid protocols, and repaired hard to reach leaks and damaged faucets. Crystal and Jennifer were so kind to me on the phone and Dominic and Zach were very easy work with. Dominic was very knowledgeable and that made a lot of difference. I am already scheduling more work.

The estimate was very affordable for the work. We got Mark scheduled to come over and he was absolutely fantastic to install and explain the new system. Dominic was amazing! We called 1st Home and Commercial Services after reading the positive Google reviews because we needed help with an installation for a new bathroom sink and hardware and they were able to help us the same day. It was not a straight forward installation and we were missing a part. Dominic called multiple stores to track down the needed pieces and he did a stellar job with the installation. We also had questions about clogged drains and he recommended a product that he offered to drop off on his route the next business day. Dominic was friendly and really went the extra mile. He was also mindful of the current health crisis and practiced distancing and was wearing PPE including a mask and shoe covers. We were very impressed with the service and look forward to working with him again.

Had them out to fix an old 1960’s cast iron pipe. They used the light ray system to fix where the hole was and roots were coming in. Highly recommend! Excellent service. Hopeful that this will be the last time we have to have a plumber out for this issue!

After our fifteen-year-old water heater decided to call it quits during a weekend (cold showers are decidedly no fun), we contacted 1st Home and Commercial Services early the following Monday. Drew got back to us promptly, and was able to come to our home the same day in order to disconnect and drain the existing unit. A team of two technicians arrived the next day with a new, 50-gallon Rheem unit, and were able to remove the old heater and install the new one in about two hours. We were very impressed with how quickly they did the job, as the water heater is located in the attic above our 2nd floor, and the old heater was heavier than expected due to years of calcification (our bad). This was our third time using 1st Home and Commercial Services (a shout out to Daniel for being able to install a j-trap assembly in our guest bathroom last year on short notice!). Theyve provided us with above-and-beyond customer service unfailingly, and we are happy to be able to add a five-star rating (with a blue ribbon!). Thanks so much.

My heating/ac was not acting right - cold air was coming out when I expected hot ... and my electric bill had increased significantly .... it is fairly new, installed two years ago as a new unit. 1st Home sent out their employees Ryan Hill and Mikhail.After taking time to totally examine the unit, they showed me where the unit was failing to function properly and why. The original installation had been a fairly shoddy job, which unfortunately did not surprise me, and Ryan explained how they could fix the problem.I now have a wonderful unit that I expect will serve me very well.I like the fact that I am part of their membership and that all my heating/ac, electrical, and plumbing needs will be addressed by them as part of my membership.Ryan and Mikhail were particularly helpful, polite, punctual, courteous, knowledgable .... everything you would hope for in regards to service people entering your home to help.
Lee was a great help when my water heater went out. i had no idea it was such and easy fix but he arrived on time and was really helpful and explained what had happened and how to fix it!
As a realtor I have had many dealings with plumbing companies. Paul was a huge help when I had a seller in a bind. He had a technician out the next day. The repairs were done in a timely manner and the price was reasonable. The technician was very professional and explained everything very clearly. Its nice to know I can call and have a job done fast and correct!

Fantastic service! Called them out for second opinion, and our tech Nathan saved us hundreds of dollars in tile, and sheetrock repair. Instead of a valve problem in the wall we had a heating element out on the hot water heater which was actually covered by a warranty. Highly recommended.
I needed a plumber to reconfigure a washer dryer hookup before putting up some drywall. Since the drywall guy was on his way, I needed someone immediately. I called that morning and 30 minutes later Ryan showed up. He was courteous, knowledgeable, a good listener and up front about the costs of everything. He explained everything carefully, and even suggested some things that saved me money. I have scheduled Ryan for more work next week and am happy to have found a plumber, and a plumbing company, that is efficient and prompt and customer friendly.
I sent out a yelp request for a plumbing leak and received a prompt response from 1st Home. I must say that the technician that arrived was a real asset to your establishment. He was knowledgeable and focused and able to determine the problem at hand. I was so impressed with dominic that I asked for him to return since the weather prevented us from attacking the problem on the first day. As I expected when he arrived the second time he went straight to work and replaced the faulty joint and the job was completed superbly. Kudos to dom for a job well done.

Chris Thompson is FANTASTIC! He was super friendly and knowledgeable. I started a DYI project renovating an upstairs bathroom and ran into some problems. They got us on the schedule for same day basically, I called late night before. They responded early in the morning and we were set with a time. Since we were without water that was much appreciated! Chris arrived in the time window provided. He did a thorough assessment and then gave me the quote for the job. He even offered to let me watch as he worked. He repaired several of my not great soldering on copper pipe. Thoroughly checked all of the rest and ran a few tests to be sure there were no leaks. Peace of mind knowing it’s done right and double checked before we put up cement board and tile is priceless. But the price was totally reasonable! No extra fees or surprises. The price he quoted after the inspection before starting work was what they charged. We have used other plumbers previously but from now on we are only going with 1st Home and Commercial Services. It’s stressful dealing with plumbing issues. They help make it as painless as possible, treat customers right and have awesome employees. Thanks for the help and advice, Chris!! I had two different services today in different property location. Technician, Dominic was very polite and gave me great solution in bathroom where water was leaking today.Technician,Daniel was able to clear the pipe in the kitchen sink and gave us details to take care of the old pipe we had. Both of them are very professional and polite. I highly recommend 1st Home&Commercial at anytime.

While trying to remove a stump in my yard I accidentally hit a water pipe. In a panic I assumed I hit my main water line so naturally shut off the main water valve and proceeded to call any 24hr plumbing service that would take my call. I called these guys after some horrible service with Roto Rooter and was immediately put in contact with their master plumber David who calmly walked me through a series of questions and asked me to send him some pics of the pipes. Immediately after sending them he told me I had hit my irrigation piping, explaining everything, and advised that I could turn my main line back on after I shut off the irrigation water flow. All while he stayed on the phone with me. Not only did he solve my problem on the eve of thanksgiving but also saved me a ton of money. That kind of service is world class and can’t recommend these guys enough for their willingness to help and expertise. Thanks again!! You guys are awesome! Highly recommend!

1st Home & Commercial Services did a great job getting my tankless water heater replaced after the big 2021 ice storm. Like many folks in Austin we were without hot water for several weeks as plumbers scrambled to get hot water heaters delivered and installed. We had called three other plumbers and were not able to get anything scheduled with them, even the plumber that did all our plumbing and AC work when we built our home. Paul, their operations manager, did a great job finding us a heater and he personally installed it! We are so thankful we didnt have to wait longer to get hot water. I highly recommend them.
Definition of highway robbery. Paid $129 to receive a $3800 estimate to install track lighting. After review I noticed they were going to charge me $2000 for parts that cost $100 at Home Depot. I informed them I would gladly pick up the parts as was already supplying them with the track lighting. And I would like to proceed with the job and pay the labor fees.Afterwards, the tech tried to state they would not be able to do that since the parts included labor. Which was obviously bogus. The estimate clearly separated parts and labor. This was his way to try to squeeze me for more money. Not to mention the tech wasnt even a master electrician. This was the most outrageous inflated quote I have received and have taken my business elsewhere.
1st Home installed a new AC window unit in my home. They were wonderful even though I had a ton of questions and had trouble deciding the best way to proceed. The tech answered my questions and was very nice and patient. 1st Home was prompt and they made the installation painless for me. I would definitely recommend them.
I recently moved from Dallas and I chose 1st Home & Commercial Services based on their Google reviews. I definitely made the right choice! I needed a hot water heater and toilet installed. Master plumber Chris Thompson came out and did a terrific job. Prior to the installation, Chris noticed that the old hot water heater was not up to code. Chris pointed out the issues and assured me that the new hot water heater would be installed up to code. I highly recommend 1st Home & Commercial for all your plumbing and AC needs. Be sure to ask for master plumber Chris Thompson. Also since I recently moved, I couldnt find any of my tools. Chris was able to tighten up the hoses to my washing machine at no charge. Misleading about their massive fees and billing procedures; unprofessional office staff.Called them to come give me a quote for the repair of a commercial water heater and their response time sounded good. When they came out I was told that the Evaluation Service Fee, was 255$, regardless of how simple the issue is. Sounded excessive, but since that usually comes with the work, I said ok. Their technician Dominic was good with his work, etc. He was able to fix the problem (even with a few complications, i.e. blew one of our fuses touching two leads together so had to run and get more; needed a tool he didnt have on his van so had to run get it, etc.). So after the work, he said that his supervisor would not let him invoice me, which is somewhat unusual as well (and would have been nice to know upfront). Of course you try to work with everyone you want to continue doing business with, so complied in good faith. Well after paying, realized that I had been charged the full amount of the repair and then also the service fee. Since usually if I bid out a job to a company, on giving them the job they include that in the cost for the work. Maybe an oversight. Called their office and spoke with their Office Manager Jennifer, who when asked about it made it clear that she felt I was attempting to not pay them for the work done. I apologized and told her that I would like to keep doing business with them, but that the usual was to include a Service Call fee within the cost of the payment for providing the business. She was very clear that they did not feel they needed our business. Did not want to even let me speak to someone else, said I would have to schedule a call. No wonder they did not want to invoice me. Well point taken. Ill never work with this company again.If you are with the company reading this; please make sure that if you are going to charge an excessive service fee and not include it with the work (as is a standard in the industry) that you are making that explicit to the person who is paying.Misleading customers is unethical, and not very good business.
Had them out yesterday to fix my ac. found the problem (burnt up capacitor) had the part on the truck and 45 minutes later we we done. Junior my tech was very good. reasonably priced. Nice Job! would recommend
Derek and Avery came out and took care of a bad clog in the main drain that was backing up my sink. I tried just about everything but to no avail. Great experience. They installed a super-quite water heater quickly and efficiently. Good pricing and they worked with us on electrical issues with the water heater as well. They have a friendly team of people working for them. I highly recommend these guys.
While I was working out of the country, renters in my home reported that there was a persistent leak coming through the kitchen ceiling from the attic. When I got home several days later, the problem had worsened, and I immediately saw that there was a break or something in the PVC pipe that drains the AC condensation. It was a Saturday evening; I left a voice message for the folks at Int Home & Commercial, and they returned my call Monday morning, and put me on the schedule for Tuesday, first thing. I had to leave Tuesday, so I called and asked if they could possibly get the tech out to fix the leak early on Monday. They said they would try to accommodate that, and, just an hour later, they called to tell me that a tech could come to my house right away. Great news! Chris Wyatt, a senior tech, showed up promptly, fixed the break very quickly, and gave me a report on the state of my AC unit, telling me the heat-exchange(?) mechanism would soon rust sufficiently to cause problems with gas leaking into the AC ducts, and that I should probably replace the entire system. It is a 30-year old TRANE system, and has served me perfectly well for those 30 years, but I decided to take his advice and replace it with a new, more efficient, remotely programmable system -- and they put me on the schedule for a week later. The installation was done in one day by Branden, Ryan, and Tyler, who came on time and did an excellent job on a long, hot day. In sum, I really cant say enough good words about the service I received from 1st Home and Commercial Services,a dn I HIHGLY recommend calling them if you need AC-related work, especially. I had used them previously to repair some of my AC ducts after rats/squirrels had damaged them, and that experience was also 100% positive, and with fair pricing. Five stars all the way.

Wonderful experience with 1st Plumbing Services. They are professional, efficient, and did an amazing job. As a stay at home mom, I am always a little leary of service professionals trying to pull one over on me but I never felt that while working with these guys. Well, Daniel found the problem, but said he could not replace the leaking irrigation valve due to company policy, So, after $300 I still have a leak and a big hole in my yard.

After 15 days of no hot water, Paul came by and replaced our tankless water heater and provided thorough explanations and professional quality service. Quick to reply and send technician. Cost me $99 trip fee to get an extremely overpriced quote. I had an incoming water line leak in PVC joint that attaches to incoming copper line to supply house. I had already uncovered and located the leak. Should have taken less than 30 minutes for repair of a $3 PVC fitting...they wanted $675!
