Sears Appliance Repair

The technician was very nice dont get me wrong, but I asked about cleaning the washer while he was here and he said he was just supposed to clean the washing powder and fabric softener holes. While he was there I asked about cleaning the rubber seal inside the washer and he said Im supposed to clean it with vinegar, and had me use vinegar to run through my washer. I went online after he left and saw that a solution was supposed to be ran through my washer which prompted me to call because that wasnt done. When I called I was told the Interior and exterior was supposed to be cleaned which was not done. The whole reason I got the service was for the cleaning and it was not done. I just want my washer cleaned. Also there was supposed to be some checks done while the spin cycle was going. The spin cycle started 15 mins after he left.... I just want the service advertised and what I paid for. I just want to wash my clothes :(. I spoke to 3 representatives after the service call. 2 of them were very pleasant, but the second one transferred me over while I was in the middle of speaking which was very rude. The first and third ladies were very nice and I appreciate the help they provided. I appreciate the technician as well, he was very nice I just want what I paid for. Thats all.

Mario is simply amazing. He explains everything in detail with the issue youre having with your appliance. I highly recommend Mario, as he has over 30 years experience in his field of work. Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and detailed oriented.

Nov 4th my washer is not repaired after 9 service calls, I believe racial and gender discrimination played a role is this monstrosity of poor communication and sears warranty not wanting to replace an unrepairable washer .

Steve was very professional and seemed to really want to help us. The first technician really did NOTlet him know what he had done so Steve worked from scratch and did an EXCELLENT job of finding out what i needed. You should be very proud of Steve and let him know that his service is appreciated.

Wayne was knowledgeable, attentive and showed his experience by carefully explaining the possible causes of the failure. Gave some preventative steps to take to possibly avoid similar errors.Great job! He also took time to explain to my wife what could have possibly happened and some steps avoid it in the future. Our technician was very friendly and thorough.He took his time and explained a lot to me.He has a very pleasant personality and was very polite and professional.

This place is SORRY! The man I spoke to over the phone order two different parts for my dryer. After I told him exactly what it was, he still order the pieces. Not to mention, I still had to come out my pocket with 128.00 just for someone to tell me what I already knew, you better off going to UFIXIT! and doing it yourself. NEVER AGAIN!! I paid 128.00 for the man to give me the part number and for me to order it on Amazon now Im out of 128 + 56.00 for the parts from Amazon.

Absolute garbage. They came out 11/20 and did not fix the problem. Were supposed to come out today between 8 and noon, I confirmed 3 times. After not hearing anything from them, I checked the website which said that the technician would be here between like 12:45 and 2 PM.I already took the morning off work to take care of this, now I am having to take a whole day of vacation time. I was never notified in any way of the change in time. There was no way for me to call and speak with a human being; I had to get my home warranty company to call them. And the only solution they could offer was to “try” to have someone out before noon. Customer service is horrible. Communication is horrible. This could have been avoided if they had just done it right the first time.

He was super curious and respectful of my property. He kept me informed of what exactly went wrong with my appliance and what needed to be fixed. He cleaned up after he finished the repair. I will use this company again in the near future when I need an appliance to be fixed. Thank you.

Good technician with experience in the particular problem. Less than 1 hour for. Repair. No parts required .The reported cost was $400. If true that is outrageous and my opinion of Sears Is to find another company in products and repairs! Friends and family have recommended other companies.Please check and correct invoice .Rod Wilson

Bradley is knowledgeable of the product, polite and a top notch professional! He explained, in the simplest terms, the issue (tub ring & suspension) with my whirlpool washing machine. Lastly, he cleaned up after himself and offered to remove the packaging. Im impressed and will certainly request him to service my other appliances in the future. Thanks so much, Bradley!!!

Micah came to today. After the incident last Friday I wished he just came last Friday and told me that my refrigerator is still in Manufacture’s warranty. Then I don’t have to wait for today to call the manufacturer.He is nice and explained everything to me. It seems he knows what is he doing.

Excellent experience! Service person contacted me in advance, so I would be expecting him. He explained tardiness well, things happen unexpectedly. He went straight to work & explained his investigation. He showed me his work, and his proofs, to my complete satisfaction.We BOTH tend to tell stories, the only wastage I saw, but it was entertaining and contributed to customer satisfaction.The billing, and warranty period were explained to my satisfaction.This professional knew his equipment & I highly recommend him.

Sear HVAC Tech Abdur-rahim S. called ahead of time to confirm my appointment and arrived on time. He then completed my repair and insured that my unit was functioning properly before he departed. He was very polite and took to time to go over his repairs. He’s a dedicated professional.

My 2007 Kenmore stack dryer broke in July 2024. We had warranty on all our Kenmore appliances. The repairman took the broken part and sent it off for repair. Early this month (November) the part came back un repaired. Please understand that Sears wanted me to go without a dryer from July to November. Not one word about giving me a replacement dryer or a loaner until my dryer can be repaired or replaced. Knowing that I don’t have anyway to dry my clothes in the state of Texas. So, I threw out both the dryer and the washer. Trust and believe when the warranty is up in December on my other appliances. I will be throwing them away as well and replacing them with other name brand appliances. I cannot go without my appliances. Nor wait on Sears to replace them or repair them. Question? What reason for having a warranty if you have to be without the appliance that breaks for 5 months o longer.Sears, I believe you owe me the cost of my replacement dryer that you couldn’t repair. It as on a warranty. It is only fair for the 5 months you put me through.Mary/ Cedar Hill Texas

1st appointment was on 9/03/2024 and tech needed to order part. Required us to pay up front. 2nd appointment was canceled because they said part was not received. When the Tech finally came on 9/11 he was unable to repair and said we would receive a refund minus service fee. 2 months later and serval calls and emails still no refund.

I sent a good review for the technician that cleaned my dryer. A day later I tried to use the dryer and it makes a loud rattle noise and smelled like it was overheating. He didnt test it before he left. Ive had to call for a repair service and wait several days for my appointment.

Serviceman was polite, informative, and thorough. Identified the problem and explained what I could do in the future. If there was another problem with my heat pump system.

Alberto came and fixed my fridge heater. He is the best. Communicated perfectly and left things very clean and tidy. He deserves more than 5 stars.

Micah did a very good job in fixing the problem with my washer and dryer. He also sold me the warranty which, no fault of his, I later cancelled because I could not provide the model number and serial numbers of my appliances. Micah was very polite and professional.

Historically service was great. Recently with management change, not so. Dealt with an ongoing washer issue since August. Repair Techs were good. Scheduling appointments online or phone calls and getting parts was a pain.

I bought a warranty with these folks on my Whirlpool fridge when we purchased it. The upper icemaker failed and 3 times they came out to repair it. After 3 attempts to repair it its not producing ice again. I contacted them about looking at it again and unfortunately my purchased warranty had expired by 3 months. I asked if they would stand by their work and fix it. They said NO!! If you need an appliance repair, get someone out that knows what they are doing!! (repeat, they came out and worked on this 3 times and couldnt make it work!!)

Mario was great, he explained everything and worked very swiftly. I will always request him if the need ever comes again.

For starters the representative was punctual, very polite and respectful. He was honest and straightforward about our washers condition.It was simple to fix and didnt cost nearly what we were quoted by a previous repairman.Over all were very satisfied.

Was too warm to do the repair, but the technician took the time to educate me on the issue. I learned something and I appreciate it.

He was rude. His name is Will or that’s the name he gave me. I was not notified that he was coming over. He arrived unannounced. Once he arrived I got the fridge ready for him to work on, however he was texting and doing things on his phone instead of focusing on my refrigerator for at least 7 minutes. When I told him to start to work on my fridge he got aggravated and he wasn’t happy that I was there in MY HOUSE checking on his work. He told me that I wasn’t here to supervise him and that if I didn’t like it he could just go instead. Poor costumer service from this man. I do t think I Will use Sears services anymore base on that and I won’t recommend to anyone unless someone get in touch with me about this issue.

Repair person was friendly and knew exactly what to do to fix my fridge-he explained what he was doing which I very much appreciated -great experience with this repair person!

Abdur-rahim was very knowledgeable and corrected/repaired my AC issue. Time will tell if the fix holds since the leak was very small.

The service guy was rude this time around and the last time he came out to my home. Same service tech. He would not connect the dryer hose on my stackable w/d set. This is something you do to inspect to see why the dryer is not drying. Just lazy. A&E services who contracts with Sears. Do not get extended warranties with Assurant either

Travis J.was friendly, courteous, and resolved the issue with my GE front loader washer in no time! He explained what the problem was and what he did to resolve it. I would gladly use this service again in the future and will tell others about it as well.

Mario came to install a new speed switch on our clothes washer which was not the correct solution to the clicking noise. He determined the timer switch was the source of the clicking noise. He had located a source for this timer switch and returned later the same day to install it. I was pleased that he was able to get this done on the same day. This appears to have solved the clicking noise problem.

Rep was great, but said he didn’t have access to the first customer of the day so his arrival was somewhat of a surprise. Glad nothing needed to be done to my unit. Appreciated the check-up

Micah P. was professional during the repair of our refrigerator. Im editing my previous rating since my refrigerator was not repaired as claimed. The technician diagnosed the problem as the thermostat needed to replaced. I paid for parts and labor associated with the service. However, my refrigerator was not fixed. It is worst. It is not cooling at all now. During follow-up call, I was provided and followed trouble shooting instructions, and I am left with an inoperable refrigerator.

The first technician did his best but failed to properly reassemble the freezer draw. The second technician was much more proficient but I feel lacked skill customer interaction. The scheduling and overall experience of this service needs improvement.

Tech was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. Tech was quick, gave diagnosis and completed the job in less than a hour. Im very pleased with the service I received today and would definitely use Sears service again.

The tech knew before coming out that he did not have the parts that was needed to fix my refrigerator before coming out and waisted my time and money to tell me he can’t fix it

The technicians were great but thud has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our repair request and first payment was March 11th. We had 3 different technicians visit our home from then until April 11th. And then we heard absolutely nothing from Sears. No one contacted us. No one would talk to us. We knew a part was ordered but were never given any details. A package arrived on May 25th. No one contacted us. I called and called and called. We were scheduled for 5 different service visits by the over seas office, but dispatch never sent anyone. The online portal confirmed our appointments but no one showed up. On June 19th, someone finally showed up and installed the part which arrived on May 25th. They were nice and did a great job.The corporate office and how Sears repair is run is a disgrace. I would recommend avoiding using them at all costs.

I first called a local repair company. (:() They hung up on me so I internet searched Sears Service. Super easy. I set my appointment online @ 11:00 a.m. A technician called my cell about 40 minutes later. Marcus showed up at 12:30. diagnosed by 12:35. Repaired by 1:15. I could not ask for better service than that! Thanks Marcus!

Tech was right on time, very courteous, went right to work, and got the job finished in no time. He installed a new ice maker.

Kevin was the 3rd Tech to come out because I kept having problems with my ice maker. When he came, he immediately accessed the problem, ordered the part, set up appointment, after part arrived, came back, replaced my ice maker and was out in no time.Thank you

He drained the water from the dishwasher-it was reset but he said it was a plumbing issue and needs further work. Waiting to hear from warranty company. Very thorough.

Out tech was great and did a marvelous job!

Very friendly. The techs could have taken the initiative to wear shoe covers, ensured things that they moved were put back and made sure any water or liquid on the floor caused by them was cleaned up but overall the service was great.

The scheduling is awful, they have a window of 7 am to 8 pm for you to wait for your technician and some days they don’t even show up. Not called to let my know. They took a month and half to finish the repair on my refrigerator which was just change some parts, the parts got to my my house in a week but they just keep rescheduling me. The service was good when they finally came but not worth the wait. I will not use them again

Now I know why people have a distaste for extended service plans. I purchased one for my refrigerator when I got it from NFM.I called and initiated it. I was told the ecumenism would arrive on a certain from 8:00-5:00. Yes, that’s the time frame they gave me.He ordered 4 parts and we scheduled an appointment for the next week.2 of the parts have come and 2 are on back order. No update when they will be back in stock.I have called 12 times trying to get them to install the parts that have arrived but they won’t come out until everything has arrived.I asked them to cancel the other 2 items that I can at least get my ice maker working but the repetitive, non customer focused call center staff won’t do it.I’ve tried asking for a manager but to no avail.At this point, I would have preferred to pay full price for the ice maker and chose a professional that doesn’t have a window of 9:00-5:00.No more Sears Home Services for me!!! Never again.

I will not write a positive review, due to the fact that I have the same problem. Your technician has attempted to repair my refrigerator three times but it still is working. After attempting to repair it, he says that it is fixed. I am using a home warranty insurance, but he appears to be partial to Choice Home Warranty because he refuses to admit that he cant repair the refrigerator. I would expect Sears to be better than that. I will request service again, but I implore that you send a technician who will provide a truthful assessment.

He just diagnostic the Ac system not seriously and did not give me any paper work. Did not maintain the system correctly and did not make them ready to work. He make this maintenance check pointless.

My refrigerator is NOT cooling, only the freezer is working. They changed out the fan today and now I have these error codes: E on refrigerator & rF on freezer. I need someone to come fix this ASAP.

The technician could not service my AC because according to them they do not work in mini splits - a very common air conditioning system.

The technician was on time, but...he didnt have the tools he needed and had to borrow from us. Then he tried to use one of our knives without asking instead of a screwdriver. 3 parts were ordered but only 2 parts were used. So we have no idea if the repair has been completed or not.
