Havent left a review bcus a transmission isnt like a restaurant you could review right after eating. So the transmission I wanted to get at least several hundred miles on it before I could even make a fair assumption...so far Im very pleased with how the transmission is working. Automatic transmission does shift a little hard when slowing down and it shifts into 1st gear.. but from what Ive read it could be normal until its broken in. Ill give it a thousand miles then re evaluate that. But all in all I got a great price, great work, and everything went as planned..thanks Custom transmissions(Barts)Dennis

Found this shop a year ago. We were referred by friends. They have been a blessing every visit. They never do more work then is needed. They are very conservative on helping you make decisions on your repairs. I sooooo appreciate that! I never ever feel like Im being taken advantage of! Completely honest about their repairs and what u should do. Money spent well EVERY time. Thank you for being great people.

Barts is the best auto repair facility Ive ever been to. Weve been taking our daughters 83 C10 to them for several years now. Their customer service is unmatched, as well as their repair work. These guys are great! Fixed a bad problem with car, it runs great 1 year later, and theyre cheaper than any other place. However, its hard for me to go back to them for regular service. The lady on the phone says to drop off my car on a morning, Id rather make an appointment for the best service around!! Thank you guys!!

My family WILL NOT let me take a car anywhere but Barts. Anytime I go get an oil change and pep boys tells me I need several hundred dollars worth of repairs I take it to Barts to get a second opinion! Theyll tell me whats wrong and they never fail to give money saving info, even though they could have profited from my ignorance. Example: got oil change at midas, they told me I needed to get my brakes done immediately, took it into Barts and they said I could get a couple more months use out of them. The woman who works the front desk is incredibly friendly and always a joy to talk to. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

To anyone needing automotive repairs should definitely go to Barts in Arlington, on Pioneer Blvd between Fielder Road and Bowen is a very Trusted, Very Knowledgeable and Thorough place to take your car if you want it professionally fixed at an affordable price.My 2003 Lexus GX470 was diagnosed by two auto mechanics at separate locations to have to need the transmission replaced due to some shaking as I drove it. Something told me to get a third opinion, and boy! I am so glad I did and double glad I took it to Barts!!! Not only was Mr. Bart extensively more knowledgeable than the two previous mechanics, he was Honest in his assessment in what he found. Instead of paying out over $5000.00 for a new transmission he found it to be the bearings in the U-Joint in the rear of the drive shaft. He fixed it and only charged me $297.00 I have never been so glad to pay $300.00 in my entire life! And on another situation which I thought was a bad water pump, Mr. Bart discovered it was only a bad radiator cap and a gasket missing from a recent thermostat done by me. Again saved me over $800 because of his knowledge and honesty! Why would I ever go anywhere else?Thank you Barts for saving me a very large amount of money based on your expertise and knowledge which obviously surpasses most int he industry! Great people to know and do business with. I have never been disappointed with Barts and his crew. Ive been doing business here for at least twenty-five years. Always have had great work on my vehicles.

Used these guys for the last fifteen years. Have taken all my cars there, especially when my kids were teens. Always had great work done at a very fair price and would not go anywhere else.These guys are the best.

So, if you tell a shop I will pay $1200 to fix my transmission, 100% rebuilt. They come back, and say we can do it for $340 to half ass it (you believe it is not half ass by their analysis). Yet major issues are still there. Leaking fluid like a sieve, transmission locking up after repairs. What did you save and why would they want to save it? Trust and confidence is why you choose a repair facility.

Was referred to their shop and was very happy with them. They took a look at the car, gave a honest opinion on what work needed to be done to our honda accord. Will be back to have them fix the axle in a few weeks.

We have used Barts for many years, and they have always been fair, honest and provided very trustworthy service and repairs. I have recommended them to many friends and family and have never heard of any complaints or issues whatsoever.

We had a transmission issue with my boyfriends STI and we took it up to Barts. They were so helpful and kind to us. They were totally upfront and honest about the problem and what it would take to fix it and even gave us some great advice to minimize our expenses. I’ve been taking my pickup to Bart’s Custom Transmission for a couple years now and everything they do is amazing work! Friendly and great customer service. Always trust in the work and time they put in.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR BAD WORK. I brought my 93 Ford Bronco to have the transmission and transfercase to be rebuilt for $2900 dollars. They had it for few weeks which is understanding. The problem is that the transmission kept shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear at 20-28 mph like it didnt know which gear to stay in and one transfercase bolt was leaking. They said the shifting was the electronic shift and that the leak was fixed. 6 months later I had horibble popping problems when I stopped and took off so I took it back again and the owner Bart himself said he would take a look. I left it there and he called later said the transmission bolt had came loose so he tightens them and the problem was gone and stayed gone. Now its been about 2 years and only about 20,000 miles and I have no 2nd gear and that it needs to be rebuilt again but that they dont want to touch it. Now what kind of rip off is that I have issues from the time I paid $2900 for this and they say nothing yet how I have no 2nd gear and I have to pay another shop to rebuild it again. I work on engines not transmissions which is why I brought it to someone I thought was a good place but is nothing but bad mechanics and thief.

Have been using BART’s service for over 20 years excellent mechanics very personable owner and honest have save me hundreds of dollars in repairs compared to other repair shops will always bring my cars to them for repair excellent service

After being completely screwed over by auto nation Ford. These guys are more than fair and professional. My 12 yr old focus runs like a top...now I just need the brakes changed to stop the top. 😁Thanks again gentlemen.

Had my timing belt and water pump replaced. The work was performed in a timely manner and the car was returned in perfect condition.

Maybe there are trustworthy mechanics out there, but these arent them. $423 and 2 days of them holding my car and my car still has emission issues
