My system went down on a Tuesday night . I called 7:30 Wednesday morning. Had a technician at my house to diagnose by 11 am and had my system back you and cooling by 3:30pm. Very happy wife and daughter !!

Update - 3 July 2024. Read below for my review on their work last year. Over the weekend, hottest days again and our 2nd unit failed to respond (not the one JW Mechanical worked on last June). We got a quick response to my Monday morning plea for help and a technician was out the next day. The owner also came out and helped troubleshoot to find an evil intermittent failure, which turned out to be the control board. The wonderful lady in the office (Julie) found a board and it was replaced the next day. She also did all of the work on-line to fully use the Carrier warranty. Wonderful business and humans. They are a local, veteran owned business with ethics. Their technicians are very well trained technically and professionally.June 2023 - Benito was a very skilled troubleshooter and took the time to make sure his diagnosis was correct. He communicated information to the office manager who did the electronic file research and confirmed that the repair was covered by the manufacturers warranty. A quick email estimate and the motor will be here shortly(ish). Excellent teamwork within the company that benefits the customer. Seemed more like a precise air traffic control operation than the norm for an HVAC contractor. Very impressive.Update: Motor arrived Monday morning and was installed by 10:30. Very impressive teamwork by Benito and Julie (the office manager). No question that I highly recommend this company. They do commercial work also, like banks, etc.

I can’t say enough good things about JW Mechanical. They are a fantastic company to work with. Great customer service, fast, on time. Shout out to Julie, she’s the best. Every interaction I’ve had with every representative has been an example of the upmost professionalism and knowledge.

Technician was great! He fixed the mistakes made by the technicians before him and made sure we had amazing a/c before he left. We could tell he cared about the customers satisfaction and we believe he deserves a raise! When he left the thermostat was set on 65 degrees and the vent was blowing 59 degrees! It was a job very well done!

Juli B answered the phone promptly and was very helpful everytime we spoke. Their automated texts and quote system made the process very easy. Their staff arrived at our home when promised and gave notice when they were headed our way. Shoutout to Benito for working quickly and discreetly to diagnose our A/C issue. Special thanks to their business for finding the needed parts and getting them overnighted. Their quote was on par or better than other A/C companies in the area. Additional kudos for having complimentary room coolers so we could a couple bedrooms cool overnight. Good crew… great people.

Ive had issues with my heater for quite some time. The recent TX winter storm didnt help either. The outside unit kept breaking down and Ive had separate techs come out from different companies to assess. Many times I felt like my concerns were dismissed. No proper heat for nearly two weeks will make anyone break.When technician Joe arrived (legit drove to the other side of the metroplex) he actually LISTENED to my concerns and was able to get to the root of the problem pretty much immediately.He literally sat outside in the COLD RAIN to ensure that our heater got fixed. He did what no other tech even bothered to do.I sincerely appreciate Joe and this company for going above and beyond. They found additional issues with the house (something no other techs mentioned) and went through the proper channel to correct the vent, resized it, breaker check, etc., - Joe worked his magic!If this darn heating system ever breaks again, I know who Ill be calling.Thank you so much!

Im happy with the work the technician provided and my AC is back up and running, which is the important thing. Wasnt really happy that I had to go a day and a half without air conditioning before they came out, though. For an emergency situation like this, which it always is in Texas heat. I called at 11:30am, waited for a call from them. Was texted by them at around 6pm for them to say when they could get a tech out (which was between 12-3pm the next day). My husband and I both work so we had to juggle our schedules to meet that, which is not too big of a deal as long as it got fixed, and it did. Got a text from them the next morning letting me know a tech was en route to my house. Great, but no ETA? But he did arrive a little after 12pm and got the job done fairly quickly. So again, happy with the service provided. Just not the best response time. Or communication. So since they met all but 2 of my expectations, I gave 3 stars. 5 stars for the technician that did the work well and seemed very knowledgeable and professional. Just dont expect these guys to be able to come to you same-day for an emergency situation.

Was very professional and did a great job completing the installation of the AC unit. I have been dealing with this for over a month and a half now and I am so glad I can finally get some cold air. Texas heat is no joke Im just finally glad that its fixed. If Im being honest and giving proper feedback although they were very kind and professional completing the job there is a mess to clean LOL no worries I will take care of it Im just glad to have the air back on.

Our AC went out yesterday, midday. Alex came in today and under an hour got the AC unit back up and running. He was very professional, understood exactly what was going on, and explained the issues thoroughly while providing me with a number of tips that will help me lower my electric bill. Great company, I highly recommend their services!

My technician’s name was Mark. He was very polite and respectful. He asked a few questions and got my A/C back and working within 40 mins. Before leaving he did let know of what the issue was and was very informative. I recommend this company 100%!

My AC unit broke. They came the very next morning. Brought portable units for me to use for 2 days until my new $8500 4 ton GOODMAN unit can be installed. The installation went great. Nice crew!

Just received my Spring maintenance on my HVAC system which was installed 2 years ago. Everything went well. Very satisfied with my purchase and the maintenance performed. Give them a call!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF IN EMERGENCYI placed a work order Friday at 2pm. I was told I would receive a call within the hour and never received ANYTHING til around 6. They booked a time from 10am-2pm that next day even though My work order stated emergency. Friday night we had an emergency come up so my husband drove from Dallas to Fort Worth in the morning trying to juggle AC appointment and family emergency. He called SEVERAL times before he got the house at 10:20. The FINALLY answered and he tried to get contact info for technician to let them know that he was on his way and gave ETA but when technician arrived at our home at 10 he DIDNT CALL OR TEXT to say that he was there. We only got notice that he was EN ROUTE... how are we supposed to know how long it takes for him to get from where he was, to OUR home? We couldn’t. Even though we tried multiple times. So he just left. I sent an emergency email because on their phone calls it says to email them for an emergency and I didn’t receive email til day after! Even though I placed emergency email at 11am? They don’t close til 5 so why did that take the next day? They then proceeded to say they will call or text Sunday for appointment and never did u til after 6. Now we are forced to be in a home with 3 kids under age of 6, 38 weeks pregnant and NO AC. Now please tell me how they care about their clients? Their website states to call for GREAT service ... I see no service that has been great. Even after emailing them my concern they seemed to not care. Our appointment is at 7am, so we had to leave the home we were at to sleep here for a night for THEIR CONVENIENCE. I just don’t understand how cruel they are. Waiting 20 minutes would be no issue for me if I knew my client was almost there. Imagine if they came close towards 2pm as the scheduled appointment time? It’s all in their convenience but we get no wiggle room for error or to be even 5 minutes late, without even being called that they have arrived!?

The team at JW Mechanical is AMAZING! The professional and courteous communication with the Office Manager, Juli, ensured the project went well during the initial system install and during a checkup of the system two years after install. (The system is still in PERFECT condition!)Alex came out for the checkup and again, the communication about arrival time, the process for the system review and the post review report were all excellent!I could not be more happy with this company and I will highly recommend them to anyone for AC service and installations!

We just moved into a rental property who had not properly prepared the home to move in. The heating system needed a repair and Benito from JW Mechanical Systems identified the issue and fixed it quickly. Also, he was professional, friendly and was on time. I highly recommend this company and their services.

Alex came out and accessed the problem immediately. He was able to get my fan back running and ac cooling quickly. He even wanted to setup another date to come out and check on the unit to make sure the problem was fully resolved. They do great work and will recommend to others.

Stephen showed up on time and nicely dressed eventhough it was a very hot day. He was very polite and respectful and did a quick diagnoses and found that our ac system was very low on refrigerant. He was not able to get the system running the first day because it was so late in the evening and more diagnostics were needed. Stephen showed up the next morning and charged the unit quickly. Our two story house began to cool down quickly and it was so nice. Before each service call I was texted by JW to let me know that a tech was on the way; I really liked this. I highly recommend JW Mechanical.

This is the most professional company I have dealt with. They were on time and my service order was actually schedule for Wednesday, but they had an early opening and they came Monday. They resolve each issue quickly and efficiently...... I would recommend them and I typically dont do ratings or recommendations!!!

Alex Wright was the guy that serviced our A/C. I hate when companies give such a big time frame of when theyll be there. Mine for my date for service was 11-3. I was super surprised that I got a text at 10:51 saying Alex was on the way. He got there about 11:10. He was super professional and greeted me politely. I dont like people wearing shoes in my house but allow it from time to time, especially when theres a repair guy. Im assuming a part of their work is putting on little booties before coming in the house. I love that! It didnt take him very long to figure out why my AC was leaking and he fixed it promptly. I would definitely hire this company again and hopefully all their employees are as professional as Alex.

My first experience with this company was through the warranty company to change a thermostat. They seemed great to work with and showed up as expected. When I had a different problem with my condensing unit, the warranty company sent out a different company even though I requested JW. The warranty company denied the claim (no surprise). So knowing I was going to have to pay out of pocket, I called JW because of prior good experience with them. The office staff and the techs are very pleasant and went out of their way to send a tech as quickly as possible since our A/C was out and it was smoldering outside. They came, diagnosed that all 3 circuit boards needed to be replaced. The previous company also diagnosed at least 1 board was out but not certain if all three were bad and couldnt make that call until they could get the system up and running, 1 circuit board at a time. The quote JW gave to replace the 3 boards was**** $4,200 **** because allegedly the parts werent readily available and hard to find. Also said that if the boards didnt fix the problem, that I might have to replace the entire system and quoted approx $12,000 to do that. (4 ton 16 seer system) Well, I worked in the commercial HVAC/refrigeration business for over 10 years and I knew that was such inflated pricing that I told them I couldnt afford to spend that much. I asked Jeff to please send me the parts list and I would make some calls to parts suppliers I knew to see if I could find the parts and at a better price for them to install. He said he would send me the parts list but, of course, he never did. Using the serial and model number of my unit, I made some calls, got the price for the parts, got a tech referral and low and behold, not only were all the parts readily available, only 1 circuit board was bad, not all three and the cost to repair....$300. In addition, I also had the new tech put in a return in a room that didnt get enough airflow. He charged $375 to do it and JW quoted $1250 + tax to do it. Also, I priced the systems and it can all be replaced for less that $6500..... So it cost me $675 to do what they quoted over $5,500. I gladly paid the $675 and added $100 to the tech for being so honest. I wrote a letter to JW telling them how disappointed I was that this happened. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe his supplier had severely misquoted the parts price.... Mentioned how I had hoped I had found a good honest, professional and reliable company but it turned out to not be so...... and I told them how the issue was resolved. Have yet to receive a reply.

Heating issues with the furnace, Benito was very professional, attentive, and devoted to solving this issue. He worked on numerous occasions with our property mgt to ensure this problem was completely resolved and functioning. We really appreciate the timelines of this organization and would definitely use them again.

I am absolutely speechless. My technician, Joey Yacono, amazed me by the work he provided for my family and I. For starters, our rent houses HVAC unit basically had more issues than I could count. Joey had to replace systems that spoke different languages to me. For example; Joey Had to army crawl to the back to reach our thermostat service line in the attic to make a repair. That right there had me clueless and impressed knowing he had obstacles in his way carrying tools, parts, etc… he replaced and repaired all the in and outs to give us a brand new system. Cleaning up what the techs before him left behind. Vacuumed the floors he worked on. Joey thank you for your service sir. I hope you find great growth within the company. I will be handing your card to anyone in need of service. JW Mechanical Systems is definitely the way to go!

After a few years of absolutely terrible AC experiences, finding JWMS has been great. Always honest and completely reasonable on their prices. We use their maintenance system as well and it is nice to have that taken care of without having to remember every six months. The ONLY down side was trying to remember Mechanical Systems instead of AC when I first started using them. :) They have my business as long as they want it.

After the severe Texas cold snap, JW Mechanical Systems performed a repair on my HVAC system. This was the second business that Main Street Renewal had scheduled. The first company, Gregg Air LLC, turned down the job without notifying me. My home’s temperature was 55 degrees, thus it was imperative that the heating system functioned properly.I was a little annoyed that JW Mechanical was not going to arrive at the initial scheduled time. The second projected arrival time was likewise inconsistent with what’ I was told.I had a horrible feeling since I believed this was another firm that would not show up.The technician did arrive, and he was very cordial and knowledgeable about why I was without heat. To allow heat to circulate on all floors, he had to rewire the existing cables.REMARKABLE! It was genius that he was able to read the control panel and decipher the problem.Thanks to JW Mechanical Systems, my first floor now has heat circulating and the faulty wiring has been properly connected.Anita RuffinFort Worth,TX.

I had a fan breaking off of my aging AC unit and called JW to have them take a look. I was pleasantly surprised when the technician came promptly to assess the situation. They quoted a very reasonable price for a fairly simple fix and ordered a special part for my aging unit. The owner himself came to install the new part, and my unit was immediately running well. The pricing was much lower than I expected, and the work was timely, effective, and left zero mess. I have referred them to several friends and my own parents. All have had very positive experiences.

Great job! I didn’t know why my a/c was not working and in 100-degree temps, it’s imperative to have a/c. Jonathan showed up quickly. He found the problem and fixed it - all within 30 minutes of arriving at my house. Not only is he knowledgeable, he’s patient and took the time to explain - in simple, understandable terms - what had happened and how to prevent future issues.

I had a great experience with Mr. Davila today, he came out in response to a maintenance request I made with my landlord on our AC unit. It’s a heat wave here in Texas and our AC isn’t keeping the house cool. Mr. Dávila was very professional and he thoroughly checked our system inside and out. He pinpointed the issues and now we just wait my landlords authorization to complete the work. It’s not often that people do their job so throughly and I appreciate his obvious experience and willingness to solve the problem we are having. I highly recommend this company and mr Dávila.

I called them to request service since my AC unit for my second floor wasn’t working. Within hours I got a notification that they would be there in a matter of a few hours. I was about to board my plane back home from California. Not only were the quick in coming out by the time I landed in Dallas the AC was fixed and my kids were finally comfortable. I couldn’t believe the effectiveness, they have a customer for life!! I will definitely use them again and for any AC need.

Alex Wright came out to my house 8 days ago to “fix” my air conditioner. He did something to it, claimed it was fixed, and left 15 minutes after he arrived... only to have the system do the EXACT same problem 8 days later.If it continues to have the same problem... it’s not fixed, only delayed. Shame on this company. And sad thing is; this is the THIRDTime I’ve had these guys come out; and The third mess up to have happened. But sadly... the company I rent through I guess have a contract through these guys, so I can choose who fixes my house issues.... be better guys,

Good and honest communication. Service was fast. It took two trips to pinpoint the failing condenser fan motor (after it heated up) but they made sure it got fixed fast.

I waited several days for them to come and fix my air conditioning system, which wasnt cooling off the house. They left asking us to wait a little to allow time for the system to cool off the house. Never did. Now I have to wait who knows how long for another technician. BAD SERVICE

Our AC went out today, they sent Thomas A. out even though it was after business hours. He was very professional, knowledgeable and understood exactly what was going on, and explained the issues thoroughly so we understood. He was eager to help even after a long day which is very rare to see.

Steven Osborne arrived on time, quickly addressed the clogged drain line issue that I reported, then went further by changing my filters and cleaning the outdoor compressors. Great job, great attitude, great service!

We need an air conditioning repair so we called JW mechanical services. I’m so glad we did. They were out very fast and repaired our air-conditioning system very fast and efficient. They didn’t even recommend a new system like all the other companies do. The technician was super courteous and didn’t act like a pushy salesman. I’m going to recommend this company to everyone.

Steven Osborne with JW Mechanical Systems was professional and efficient, and patiently explained what was going on with my heater. Upon acceptance of diagnosis by my landlord, I have every confidence JW Mechanical will complete this order just as professionally and efficiently.

I was floored by the level of professionalism, knowledge, and speed that Alex demonstrated. He arrived on time and within minutes was able to determine exactly what was wrong with our AC, furnace, and thermostat. He went above and beyond to answer any questions I had regarding the issues, as well as addressing additional contributing factors.

Dont use them!!!! This is the worst company I have come in contact with for years. After coming to my home they determined that we needed to replace the compressor portion of the unit. So 1 to 2 weeks they came back and did so. The AC unit still wasnt working correctly. After not being able to figure out what was wrong they decided that the air handler (the part of the unit thats in the attic) needed to be replaced. After 2 or 3 more weeks they came back with the new air handler. They finally got everything working. After about a week or maybe two weeks we had water leaking out of the auxiliary drain that comes out from the overhang of the roof. This should not happen. It is only a backup system just incase the primary drain clogs. So after seeing this I went up in the attic to see what the problem could be and realized that the primary drain was leaking into the attic floor as well. After contacting the owner of the company he came out to fix the problem. After fixing the problem I still have water leaking out of the auxiliary pipe. So I called the owner and was told that the unit in the attic that I was looking at was the wrong unit(we have 2 AC units in this house). After confirming that I had been looking at the correct unit and the company owner was wrong and it was still dripping into a bucket that i placed under the drain line I was told in a very condescending and belligerent tone that I should know which AC unit that they worked on because of all of my years of experience in the industry. Some companies make you wonder how they ever got started and this is one of them. If there was a no star rating I would pick that option. RUN AWAY!!!!

These guys do excellent work, and they stand behind that work. They basically rescued us from a terrible situation and came in and fixed work someone else had done terribly. The difference between those guys and JW Mechanical Systems was like night and day. There seriously is no comparison. JW Mechanical’s people are:- Smart- Professional- Prompt- Courteous- Thorough- CompetentAnd most important of all:- Honest.They clearly take pride in their work and in a job well done. I tried to tip them I was so impressed, and they politely refused. I could not be happier and I cannot say enough good things.

The technician was prompt and did a thorough investigation. This was for a second opinion since the first company we called ( not this company) tried to fleece us and our warranty company for work that was done last year by yet another company. All in all I will say that this tech knew what he was talking about and we will ask our warranty company to continue to send JW Mechanical out for all our HVAC needs.

In response to JW Mechanicals response to James Payne (Below) Id like to add my two cents....(1) The issue absolutely is on the unit JW Mechanical worked on. (2) My husband did not try to repair the unit for free, but simply patched a leaking pipe in our attic to avoid water damage until the unit gets fixed. (3) Theres no need for another work order or more money to be paid to JW Mechanical since the unit we already paid to be repaired is the one with the issue.Yesterday, per our warranty companys suggestion and for reporting purposes, we paid to have a second contractor come out to look at the work JW Mechanical did. The contractor discovered that the new evaporator coil, that JW Mechanical replaced, was not installed on the track inside the air handler as it should have been, which is causing it to leak inside the cabinet of the air handler. Our contractor suspects JW Mechanical also cracked the primary horizontal drain pan, which should have been cleaned and/or replaced when they replaced the coil, but wasnt. Now, since its been leaking for several weeks, all the insulation in the bottom of the air handler is ruined and the metal on the bottom of the air handler is also starting to rust. In order to thoroughly diagnose the problem and verify and repair the suspected cracked horizontal drain pan, all the work JW mechanical did has to be taken out and redone which is, at the very least, going to cost us $1100.00Btw....the contractor we hired to come inspect the work has already been out one time during a news report with channel 11 news, after JW mechanical installed the outside unit and before they installed the evaporator coil. So, he knows what the unit in the attic looked like before the work in the attic was done. We would have hired him, but since we were going through our warranty company, we would have had to pay him out of pocket - which we probably will end up doing, anyway, in order to get it fixed properly.At this point we have paid JW Mechanical $745, in addition to what we spent for the warranty and in addition to what the warranty company paid JW Mechanical, have gone weeks without an AC in half our house, and still have a broken AC.Dissatisfied is an understatement!

JW answered immediately. They were friendly and efficient. Joe arrived and made the repairs within two hours. Highly recommended.

Alex with JW Mechanical came out and diagnosed a leak we had in our system after North star Mechanical installed a new air handler. Not even 24 hours later all of the refrigerant was gone. NS Mechanical came out twice and could not find the leak. Alex was here not even 30 minutes and was able to determine that the leak was due to the installers not tightening a nut on the air handler they just installed. Very professional and will request JW Mechanical in the future.

Very informative and thorough on checking the problem let me know my issue was electrical. Very patient and ask if I had any questions after explaining what the issue was. Will definitely use them again.
