I drove in from out of town and my car broke down. Perry’s automotive towed my car in diagnosed and fixed it within four hours, total. They replaced the alternator and the battery. Sandy at the front desk was very pleasant and communicative. All the guys in the shop were wonderful.I was able to drive back to Houston, that evening, with no problems.

My daughter was having some minor issues with her car, she is an ACU student. The folks at Perry got to the repair right away. They were efficient, affordable and I would trust them for any future work.

Update:....tried to call, but the phone was down. Drove by later that afternoon (01/08/25), and there was a sign in the window. CLOSED!!!Ken has retired after 47 years. Good luck, Mr. Perry. Youve earned it.Ken & his crew were spot on. Will definitely be back. Numerous issues on several vehicles, and he took them one at a time. Discussed any & all changes to requested job orders. Some were more necessary. Some were less necessary and were put on hold due to being minor. I enjoy when folk save me $$$.

The owner needed me to repair a part for him, and instead of sending me the broken part so I could work on it for him, or him requesting a refund because he didnt need the service anymore, he decided to file a dispute with his payment institution instead. He could have just sent the part to me and he wouldve been happy with it or ask me for a refund like an adult, and it wouldve been just fine. I would certainly never do business here even if I had no other choice.

Vince and Perry are hands down the best and most ethical and honest mechanics in The Big Country! As a single mom, its nice to know they will never take advantage of me. They are always able to assess, diagnose, and fix the problem with my car. And, they get the work done in a timely manner. My teen also takes his 4x4 truck to them! They know their stuff!!!

Ken Perry is an honest man. I took my pickup 🛻 in for what I perceived to be a problem with my brakes and Ken drove my truck and advised me that what I was concerned about is inherent in the vehicle. No charge. He did not take advantage of the situation and want to change an arm and a leg to fix a problem that wasnt there. Ken definitely earned my respect and I highly recommend him for any vehicle repairs.

Needed brakes checked/replaced. Perry was very informative and willing to help, his guys took care of me in just a few hours. Reasonable pricing that you won’t find at a dealership. Absolutely recommend.

Hands down Perry Automotive is the place to go if your vehicle requires repair or a tuneup. They are conscientious about saving their customers money but they dont skimp on quality. Domestic or import they are excellent at diagnosing and repairing your vehicle. Excellent customer service. My sons car sounds better after Perrys repaired it than it did when he bought it.

I took my car into Perrys for a checkup. They changed the oil also.They found a thorn in the drivers side front tire. Was unable to remove because it was in the tire wall, with a slow leak. I took the car to where I purchased a new set of tires 2 years ago. They were still under warranty. A new tire cost me just $25.00. Thanks Perrys for your thoroughness.

Great place. We have our oil changed here. The last time, they pointed out that we still had 2000 miles to go, we were looking at the wrong sticker. I appreciate their honesty.

Our 2008 Acura TL had an engine light come on. It had not occurred in the past. Perrys was unavailable so we took it to another facility to have the engine light evaluated. Diagnostics were run and the resulting repairs and labor sum was +$3500. Some of the recommended repairs had been done 14 months prior at Perrys. There were no obvious changes happening that would usually occur with the assessed problems. I waited and took the car back to Perrys to have them reassess the car. In between evaluations, the engine light did not come back on. Perrys performed the diagnostics, no indicators came up, and they repaired a small situation in the engine with no charge. That evaluation was done Monday and the light still has not come back on. Thankful for the generous and professional care we received.

Love this business!!! Engine light came on. Called the next morning, dropped my vehicle off at noon and had it back at 5 pm. Radiator, water pump and belt replaced and running great now. Kept me informed on every step that needed done. Highly recommend for any problems with your vehicle!!! They care!!!

The team here is amazing! I was visiting from out of state, and the day before I had to drive home (a holiday) my brakes started grinding. Next morning.. After being told by another shop that they had appointments most of the day so it would take all day to get my brakes done, I went to Perry. Although Perry also had appointments, they squeezed me in first thing so that I could hit the road. I can’t thank them enough for helping me out!

I could not be more pleased with this place, and I highly recommend it. I wound up here almost at random, and Im glad I did. They quoted me less than half of what I thought it would be, and charged even less in the end. They were all extremely polite and friendly, and they did what I thought would take a day or more in about 2 hours. (Expectations were based on a similar issue in a different car, at a different place.) I will be using them for all of my future auto care needs.

Even during these difficult times I could not have asked for better service. I have taken my truck in for inspection. Almost immediately it was taken in and looked at. Will it needed a windshield wiper blade. $10 maybe $20 for one I thought? To my surprise I was only $6.00 I dont think I could have gotten a very good quality blade like this at an auto parts it a big box store for that! Honest a great repair shop! If I could do 6 ****** stars I would!

Ive used Perry Automotive numerous times over the years with two different vehicles. Everytime Ken and his team have done great quality work on my vehicles and in a timely manor. They will always give you a few different options with parts to help work with in your budget.

I was recently passing through Abilene, stopped for gas, and noticed a broken weld on an exhaust hanger. I was probably safe to keep driving, but this meant that only one hanger was supporting the entire drivers side of the exhaust. A quick internet search turned up an exhaust shop not far away. They couldnt get to me, but recommended Perry (figured that was a good sign). Perry got me in right away. Not only did they fix the broken weld, they reinforced the other welds and tightened the bolts on the exhaust system (without me even asking). I was worried about the tips not being even after the repair, but I think they hang even better than before. My total was just under $60, which is more than fair (would have cost twice that at home). Once finished, the owner and I even chatted for a few minutes. Based on my great experience, Id easily recommend them.

A BIG Thank you for the guys at Perrys. We had car trouble on our way to Odessa, they were recomended to us. So we limped over there and they got us fixed up and back on the road in a little over and hour. They were so kind and explained everything to us. They quoted me a price for 2 hrs. of labor on a repair. They did the work in 1 hr. and cut my bill in half. Very honest and professional.

I am from out of town, visiting family, had a fan motor that stopped working. Called Perrys on Monday, they got me in same day, and I had the car back that afternoon. They were friendly and responsive and if I lived here, Id take all my vehicles to them like my dad does. :)

Where do I start? Let me start by saying, I am pretty good a repairing cars. But my daughters car was in Abilene. She is a student at ACU. And I was in Mesquite. When her car started throwing the check engine light, I pretty much knew what the problem was because of the symptoms. I had her go to Autozone to have them pull a code to verify. The code verified my suspicions and narrowed it down to the spark plug, wire or coil on the second cylinder. The wires and plugs are relatively new, so I pretty much figured the coils were going bad. Too bad I wasnt there to fix it. Parts should have only been $45...I had her take it to Perry Automotive and told Mr. Perry what I have narrowed it down to. Once he had verified my diagnosis, he STILL charges me a diagnosis fee of $90. The hourly labor I have no problem with. They pretty much go by the book... But heres the kicker! The parts (which they got from Oriellys Auto Parts) they DOUBLED the over the counter price!All in all, what I could have fixed for $45 and an hour of my time, wound up costing me over $300.My daughter has warned her ACU friends to STAY AWAY from this place

Perry Automotive has been working on my dads 89 Ford pickup for a few years now sometimes they have to scrounge but theyve always been able to keep it running theyre not cheap but theyre fair and theyre good
